I try my best to 8 hook before I kill someone but I'm not going to go out of my way to do it, especially if other survivors are going to actively try to get in my way.
that´s beyond stupid, if you want to Kill survivors which is your role.

Corrupt will still be meta as you haven't adjusted the base game issue people use it for...
You said you understand killers use it because of the early game of everyone spawning on separate gens yet you did nothing to stop that.
Killers should of gotten a baby corrupt like survivors got baby BT, even if it's only 20-30 seconds base and corrupt now just extends it and that's why corrupt will still be used at the higher level especially on all setup killers.
Also the DS stun should still be 5 seconds, you're making tunneling less punishing.
It´s only viable for The Trapper, for the rest is pointless.

Lol if you say so
I said so, and I have nailed it.
1- BT base kit now. Plus mini free sprint burst. AND... that gives Survivors a free slot.
2- They increased 10s the gen time, like if that was meaningful looking at the broad picture... maybe fix ruberbanding or make it so that Survivors don´t make you waste time when they fall near a windows. So you pick and don´t vault instead accidentally.
Meanshile Corrupt Intervention nerfed to the ground, the only use of that perk now is for The Trapper, that´s the only Killer that can use that time on something meaningful such as placing traps.

The issue was the sad regression speed. 2.5% in the grand scheme is nothing. If you really want to make kicking gens worth it, just make the regression faster. Regression being 1/4 the speed a survivor does a gen is the reason why it doesn't matter to kick it. Only time 2.5% will really start to matter is if they tap the gen in your face... that's it. Other than that? Still no reason, to kick it, it's only shaving off 2 seconds and your kick takes nearly 2 seconds to do anyway.
If you seriously, for a second believe that a 2.5% kick is enough to substitute for a gen perk than idk what to tell you. It may be the base number they're going for just to be safe, but this will definitely need to go up or add faster regression on top of it, because that is just sad.
Not to mention the ruberbanding, you hit a guy, drops a mile from you or they fall under a windows and instead of picking the survivor you vault.
Time wasted 5-10s easily.
-
Trapper and Nurse. And upload your videos.

This post is flawed because a simple but stupid reason:
The challenges and daily rituals (as well as the Emblem system, too) force Survivors to play stupidly and do stupid things that otherwise they wouldn´t do.
"be in a chase with the killer 180s"
"rescue a team mate 3 times"
"destroy 5 hooks"
"rescue a guy when the killer is nearby then loop the killer 5 times while holding a pallet in your hands and dance with your flashlight"
And so on.

Yeah that map is harsh. Just make long jumps as they run away.

It happens a lot with Blight, and Huntress too, very commonly.
The issue: survivors are extremely weak especially against those perks. Killers have too many tracking and slowdown perks and maps are very sparsely populated for these kinds of killers.
A high mobility killer is too oppressive with tracking and slowdown perks.
Too many perks? Killers have *4* perks exactly.

Meh, it depends on your killer too. But you can't really expect good results with killers like Trapper / Pig. Those are just for fun thing.
Edit: gen rush can be a real thing, but same as tunnel / camp it's very overused term.
I consistently get 3k and 4k as trapper, but, red addons needed. Or a very stupid SWF team.
And corrupt intervention, if they nerf it, trapper is gone.

Haven't been having fun either. I miss the Lunar New Year event. Grabbing the envelopes was quick, everyone got the event rewards, plenty of BP from gens and hooks, gens giving all survivors BP even if they weren't on it to finish it and players played normal. The anniversary just feels miserable with players going extra sweaty, players that are just trying to make other side miserable, as survivor if killer camps you out first you're really not getting many BP so feels like a waste - the anniversary event just doesn't feel fun or rewarding at all.
Not sure why people overreact. Playing Killer I have got various million in Bloodpoints, purchased Trickster at 50% discount with shards and got him into level 50 unblocking Startruck in many Killers.
As for the rewards, I don´t care about skins but as Killer I got them without looking into it. Killed plenty of Survivors playing normally, some escaped, that´s fine. Most of them played with flashlights, parts, etc.
Genrush, it´s real, yet... happens outside of the event as well.

Trapper - No overcome if you get trapped
Wraith - Can just cloak the distance to you.
Hillbilly - Instadown killer
Nurse - Will just blink to you.

you get the point.
Personally i plan on using Lithe.
Another guy that needs to play more Killer before picturing everything so easy on the Killer side.

Oh so you want me to put effort into this? Okay lemme go
BHVR knew comms would have happened as soon as the Beta for SWF dropped when the game launched, if they didn’t expect comms to happen they would have never done it in the first place, Bhvr devs (yes lemme bring this up cause apparently its immature to side with the devs of a game, I know its crazy) have stated on these very forums that its not cheating to use third party communication tools to talk to your friends, it would be cheating if the third party tools happened to actually give an advantage that would make the game unwinnable, but you can still win against swf and comms
so yes, lets go back to saying that I need to mature and have critical thinking instead of have a normal conversation which is apparently too difficult nowadays
It´s simple. SWF + Voice comms = CHEATING. Plain and simple. Period.
There is no more to it.
-
@Hoodied said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3008141#Comment_3008141
if the developers of the game state it isn’t cheating that means it isn’t cheating and the whole reason it doesn’t exist ingame is most likely due to limitations, and also people most likely muting whoever is in the lobby when they load in. Comms won’t fix solo queue because of a mute button, which would nerf your team in dbd if you muted someone and just make it a solo experience again
You need to
1- Mature
2- Have critical thinking and reason.
You seem to have none of that, that is why Behaviour has money and you pay them money.
If it sounds like cheating, looks like cheating, feels like cheating and a lot of people say it´s cheating plus you always cry about solo queue vs swf, then... it´s cheating.
Now you can even think about it, how SWF and comms give you free perks and advantages... but that´s for people who can think.

There are plenty of killers who absolutely love to camp regardless of how effective it is. Otherwise nobody would play Bubba.
Also killers will always feel the game is survivor sided, and vice versa. DBD players love victim complexes. If camping could secure an even better lead than it currently does, they're not going to pass up that chance.
Anyone who doesn't want to camp, won't camp. I don't, I just play high mobility killers instead. (although proxy camping as Ghosty for a stealth expose is hella fun)
I am one of these that purchased Bubba years ago - when you had even more obvious infinite loops - just cause flashlights were (are) a total abuse.
Survivors used that complete WHITE blind flashlight that blinded you in real life and went for the rescue every single pick... If they did not abuse that so much (I was a new player) I wouldn´t have felt inclined to hard camp. It was the only way. In times with infinite loops and people healing in front of you after dropping a pallet...
I don´t camp as much now that there are more powerful Killers other than the default M1 base, still having a Killer that goes blind as his ability is ######### ridiculous... these nerfs and forced handicaps ruin the game when you are giving the side with 16 perks AoE such as Boons.
The long story short is: without map pressure and ability to win a loop all you can do is camp and run late game killers, the strategy is clear: grab one early, hard camp, then abuse altruism or use exposed mechanics later if you can. The result is going to be the same, 1 kill or two, or maybe none... but without the pain of looping a rock while gens get done and the final t-bagging.
M1 Killers => hard camp, proxy camp are the best strategies, even more so with the changes to Corrupt Intervention.
-
@Seraphor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3005879#Comment_3005879
That just makes camping more profitable.
Killers will know survivors won't have time to pop 2-3 gens while the hooked survivor dies, and so camping could secure a 3k instead of a 2k.
Believe it or not, Killers don´t quite want to camp. It´s just a strategy that has been forced. With enough time to chase people Killers would risk to go for more hooks.
You just need to understand that if you don´t give room to Killers first, no one is going to give Survivors any room because it´s 16 perks 4vs1 and voice comms in most matches.

The official DBD discord has multiple voice channel literally called "SWF" where you can join to talk with the people you're playing with, just saying
That´s still different than in-game voice chat. Also Steam has a voice comms system embedded you don´t even need Discord.

Time and again has the devs stated that using discord to chat isn’t cheating and people still say it cheating
If that were true, there would be a system in game for solo queue, too.
They can say all they want because it's blatantly cheating.

I use to agree with your sentiment for years, but in 2022 it’s no longer fun to vs. a nurse in her current state. More and more players have mastered her, and are very proficient with her. So much in fact, I agree with the argument that the average player can not do anything against her. Hell, I’m not even convinced a lot of advance players stand a chance. They probably can put up a good fight if they’re in a team, but if they’re solo they’ll most likely fall victim to her at some point of the match. It’s like delaying the inevitable. Just a couple of days ago I typed in someone’s thread that she’s fine and to leave her alone. It’s now been 48 hours later, and idk no any more. I’m leaning in favor of her getting nerfed.
‘Too many Nurse players know how to limit your options for misdirection, so that when they blink, they can literally cover all your escape routes with the second blink and guarantee a hit. It’s TRULY amazing. And I would be one of those crying “Hax!,” had I not seen some of these Nurse players call out where the survivor was going next on live stream. I can literally feel my eyes open wide like “HOW THE HELL DID HE KNOW THE SURVIOR WAS GOING TO DO THAT??” The same survivor could look back, not look back, zig zag, run straight, stand still around corners, break line of sight, hide crouched down, hide in lockers, stand still, tea bag, give up-it didn’t matter. A hit every single f’n time. I;m seeing this for myself and I STILL can’t believe how skilled these nurse players are. Pair that up with matchmaking sending these players to low-mid MMR with disgusting builds (Starstruck Infectious Fright Nurse) and a tryhard mentality, then it’s no wonder the player base is calling for a nerf.
Play more Killer dude. You have tunnel vision from playing only Survivor.
Play Nurse yourself to these higher ranks and then come back here to talk.

i played 3 matches this morning and the maximum of gens we made was 2 because the survivors were searching their masks. The killers all ran absolute tryhard builds and played like that (hard tunneling, camping to second stage etc.). Bringing 5 cakes doesn't do much when you only get 10k BP.
I don't understand why people just can't chill at least a bit during the event. No one wants you to farm, but this amount of not giving a ######### about anyone makes it barely enjoayable. You don't have to 4k every game, you don't have to prove anything to us or to yourself, you can just have fun, chase, get 25k BP and be happy afterwards. When people bring cakes but end the match with 6k BP, they will meet up with their friends next time because "solo is unplayable" and then they gonna play toxic swf. And so, the cycle continues...
25K ? ######### dude, I am making 150K per match using BBQ.

Well with the perk changes, they’re also going to be improving the basekit so hopefully you won’t need to worry as much about that
"improving the base kit" means buff survivor and nerf killers to the ground do you realize of that?
Survis will have even more perks to use because SWF and base kit will free even more slots. And they might do something stupid like add 10s to gens thinking that´s like "fair".
-
@DoritoHead said:

-
Dunno my first matches on the event were a total slaughter, let none survive.
Saw some guys with the token, yet kill them all. Some had brand new parts, flashlights and all.
Then I decided to play the 🐦 lady that barely used and gave some room.
Realized, they wouldn't complain when literally looping me from vault to vault on that ship map. 4 escaped, which was my fault for committing 5 gens.
Yet, the only thing Survivors where giving me for free most matches was the 1 hit end of match at the gate. And some may just be trolling.
So I felt bad with that one guy who pointed to an invitation and literally killed him, but, look... guy don't go with brand new parts, maps and #########... If you wanna get out for free that's fun and all, but... then don't humiliate the killer side genrushing.
I have been getting near 200k per match points and 3k/4k consistently, some four escapes due too crutches and not bringing NOED but... a ton of pressure on Survivors whatever they got they deserve it lmao. I even got some even without looking for it.
So if you wanna play "invitation game" make it clear since the beginning.
I play for the kills and bp don't care about Survivor skins.

However, playing SWF with voice communications... that betrays nothing.

I don't know what to tell you really, from my experience the cooldown is short enough to regress all remaining gens.
let's say there's 3 gens remaining, Gen A, B and C. What you do is stand at Gen A, you teleport to the locker closest to Gen C while making sure to pass through Gen B. This way you're putting pressure on all 3 gens simultaneously, because.. You have Gen A covered, and you hear if survivors are at Gen B, and you're about to be at Gen C. You never have to search for survivors to be at the correct place. And 12 second cooldown on a teleport is a joke. I didn't realize it was that low.
Imo the cooldown needs to be much higher to fix this issue. Something like 30 seconds. But in some situations this will be too much. It's only really needed to prevent the constant gen pressure
So here's my suggestion: You know how he has teleport charges? You usually use this to teleport additional times between lockers. Instead, allow Dredge to teleport with a very short cooldown for as long as he has charges, but each charge takes something like 30 seconds to recharge.
For example, if you then have 3 teleport charges, you can teleport 3 times on a short cooldown, but it'll take you 30 seconds to get each charge back. This way, you'd be more encourages to follow up on chases, and would make it harder to gen camp like i've been doing.
About me being good? I'm really not. I am pretty bad as killer, 90% of my playtime is as survivor but i try killer from time to time. Most of the gen grabs I've gotten happen when i teleport to an unlocked locker around a corner from the generator, during nightfall, and then i just go in for the grab. I have to admit that when I play as survivor, I can't always hear him during nightfall either, there's so many weird ambience noises and it's super dark, so i understand people messing up like that
Lockers aren´t everywhere, plus it´s confusing to select them at times and easy to miss click. And you can only do it three times at most, then there is a more than reasonable cooldown. Like dammit, Dead Hard is about the same.

Whispers + Nurse´s Calling + BBQ + Corrupt Intervention or else Franklin.

But you were responding directly to Mandy’s comment that said you won’t get a response that she is wrong because you didn’t get a response. That doesn’t make sense.
Yeah it does not makes sense to you because I wasn't saying he was wrong on that regard.
You just have told yourself, you got responses back. But not when you actually submitted a proper complaint?
Imagine if your bank does the same if you complain about someone getting money from your account or any other similar service.
They don't care. If they did, you would get a "we took action", "evidence was not enough".
"Hey Bank, someone had robbed me 10K here is proof"
"Bank: thanks for your report, we will not come back to you ever again."
-> two months later money still not in your account
"Bank: btw, we do care about these reports".
Games such as Overwatch and even Dota2 does it. Now in Dota2 you can even judge others report even.

The perks you get for free arnt that big of a deal. IF maps were balanced.
Sure. You listed one killer. Now I'll ask you. If maps were more balanced and less safe. Would communication matter if you could get downs at a reasonable pace with demo, clown, pig, sadako, slinger, wraith, ghostie, pyramid head, pinhead, Freddy, etc etc etc...? The answer is no. Because it would be a fine balance of you getting downs and hooks that you need. Communication between survivors wouldn't mean much.
They absolutely do.
"Hey guys I am looping a rock near the shack, ignore terror radius"
"Can someone help me to remove traps? Flashlight? I'm running towards the truck"
"I'm going to rescue you with BT, be ready"
"I saw the lit totem during a chase it's behind the big building at your left near a gen"
"Careful, the guy has insidious"
"Go that direction I will place a boon there"
"The killer is near the big Rock, it goes your way"
"Let's get 4 BT, DS and DH 'for fun'"
"I found the cube"
"I go loop the killer that way, do these other gens"
And so on.

God no. SWFs are fine and don't effect the game nearly as much as people say. The strength in SWFS is having 4 people who are good at looping and don't spend time messing around. They do gens. While the killer struggles to catch anyone
MAPS are the biggest issue. Always have been. Probably always will be until this game dies. Anything SWFS get for free has 0 meaning. If killers could get downs at acceptable rates(aka nurse)
Sure, and getting a few are perks for free and real-time coordination. Thanks to Discord and voice communications.
When people say SWF 99% of time it is with voice comms.

Read the comment from Mandy again: you are not supposed to get any further info from them if the report was complete.
That's not what the Customer Support email tells you. Plus, how anyone would know if they took action when they don't say it to you?
It's stupid to say "if we got the report we will stay silent like if you never sent a thing".
There is not even a Human email saying "hey, we got the report and will investigate further now, leave it to us. Thanks."

We do care about reports and if a player is reported correctly and we found that they did something wrong in game and there's evidence for this - for example we would need video evidence to show that someone was cheating in the way you described, then they do get punished.

Plus, noed doesn't prevent self improvement at all. I played with and without this perk for thousands of hours. With noed, you play with only 3 perks until endgame so you need to perform well. Also your totem is not always going to be in a good spot, and will be destroyed faster and faster the higher MMR you get. Even with noed you still need to improve. Noed only truly carry low MMR games. At high MMR, it helps finishing the last 2 survivors, if they are at least 3 they can still make it easely.
Noed is a fun perk because you can still snowball in end game. Without it, it's pretty much gg most of the time.
You don't improve playing 4 SWF and Discord either. And it's still there.

Picture this, you have just installed DBD and have decided to play killer (horrible choice, I know).
You don't have any killer unlocked besides the free ones and have even less perks available when you see it.
No One Escapes Death
As a new killer, you might choose this perk for a couple of reasons.
It gives you power after you fail to defend the gens.
It lets you secure a kill.
It sounds really, really cool.
But if you have chosen this perk, you have doomed yourself to failure. You have made a deal with the devil for temporary power at the cost of internal growth.
As any one who plays survivor can tell you, one of the easiest signs that NOED is going to be in play is if the killer you are facing is bad. But does this happen?
The answer is simple, NOED may get you a kill, but it was not you, it was NOED. You did not make the survivors have to leave their teamate behind, it was NOED.
NOED is a perk that no good killer uses because the survivors should not be finishing gens in the first place. However, it still screws them over because it messes with BHVR's statistics, making it harder for killers that need buffs to actually get them.
So for the sake of Killer Mains, I hope the perk rework destroys NOED.
Such nonsense. NOED is an awesome perk.
By the same logic (albeit that's overestimating your post) Survivors never escape themselves but DS, BT and Dead Hard did.
Or Booms and the other plethora of crutches and second chance perks (Deliverance or Unbreakable anyone?).
Please guys, if you want to bait that's ok but don't be pathetic.

- hatch is not “perfectly balanced”. There are plenty of times where it appears right next to the survivor and there’s nothing that can be done about it.
- by your logic, if there are multiple survivors left at the end, killers should get a one time use version of NOED so they at least have a “chance” to get a kill. you see how this argument makes no sense? You shouldn’t just be given something just because egos can’t handle holding the L. You get second chances all game as it is. Hatch exists purely for survivors to feel like they didn’t lose lol.
- the only time hatch should spawn is if all 5 generators are done. Again there is no reason you should get an easy escape when you haven’t even finished your objective. Killers always have to hook/mori/run out the EGC clock, in order to win. Why do survivors need a way to escape without finishing their objective other than being given pity escapes to feel better?
Came to say exactly that. Survivors just don't get it.

This is literally a perfect change.
So, the perfect change is to convert a Killer in an average M1 that everyone noob or sweaty swf can use as a toy, loop easy and abuse.
We might as well remove the Blight then as it is redundant.
