It's not a bug, the chains are supposed to attack you while holding the box. Dodge 3 chains and you can solve it with no issue
-
It's pretty cool

No and I want to keep it that way. I don't want people to know how bad I am

No

I don't see any of these ideas being inherently bad or the first 2 ideas being abusable. But I respect your opinion. I also like how most of these replies are from people with killer or killer perk pictures, hopefully we see more people who play both equally and can see it from both perspectives 😂
If you can't see the problems with these ideas, then you haven't played enough DbD

All of these are really, really bad and abuseable ideas

I can tell your first game went amazing

DH COH DS were problems but NOED isn't?
DH and COH are problems. Ever since the DS nerf, it's been fine. NOED is both counterable before and after it activates. It's a high risk-medium reward Perk. DH is uncounterable and COH deleted a whole playstyle and a few Killers, but no, just because NOED exists, a perfectly counterable Perk, it's not a problem
-
@latigresa said:
Good teams cleanse NOED. The problem is that survivor perks get nerfed all the time. NOED is the 1 perk that survivors have complained about for years and the only change was making it into a hex. If NOED was a survivor perk, you would see it nerfed to only work if 5 totems are standing for 30 seconds until you get a down.
Dead Hard? Boon: Circle Of Healing? DS got nerfed after what, 4 years of complaining? Undying got nerfed within months. NOED doesn't need a nerf, you've stated it yourself. NOED gets cleansed by good teams. It's only bad Survivors that suffer from it

I don't know how this killers has high killrate. Probably people who main them playing so well, idk.
I don't know either. Pinhead has the highest killrate when is Power is really, really bad
-
Most M1 Killers have a high killrate, that's why they're not getting buffed
-
So, first things first, the 6th anniversary Chapter would the an Alien Chapter https://docs.google.com/document/d/10odyRotI_m_KHcJ93GE6NnEhSlppreNjEG4YEV4CMvY/edit?usp=drivesdk
Then, I'd probably focus on balance changes. SoloQ would get buffs to be on par with SWF, like knowing when someone is on a Generator, cleaning/blessing Boons, healing, going for an unhook, getting chased etc. Then I'd buff Killers with some sort of in-built slowdown, like Corrupt Intervention, Hex: Ruin or a mandatory secondary objective. Lastly, a few Killers would get a rework of some kind, Nemesis being the prime example https://docs.google.com/document/d/12JPH3f09esWgqiSLgWUNlyaGscv1gjXQmbVWqdZ2f70/edit?usp=drivesdk
-
I haven't gotten a NOED Killer in a long while
-
He's barely playable on console. His recoil is so bad I'd rather play Perk-less Trapper or Pig than console Trickster. If we're talking strength wise, he's bad, worse than he was on release
-
It could be, but I don't want it to be. Not because "FNaF is for children!" or "FNaF isn't scary, it's just a jumpscare simulator!", but because I don't trust the devs to make a unique Killer Power for such an odd design. They'd have to use FNaF 3 Springtrap, and he doesn't do much in-game, he crawls and that's about it. They could make a unique Power, but looking at how Nemesis turned out, I'm not hopeful
-
SoloQ isn't that bad imo, I've had a few games where my teammates have been less than stellar but I'm mostly escaping. Boons becoming rare is not true, I've had multiple games at this point with 3 active Boons
-
Gen speeds are fine. Maps, spawns and spreading out on gens are the "problems"
-
Been there, very fun indeed

People have fun when they can counter things. Whether you take a killer or a survivor perspective, having situations where the player can't do anything "whether they are skilled or not" is not a good thing. Killers can't deal with gen speed efficiently without perks, that is exactly the same against camping-tunneling with survivors.
I've already stated that tunneling and camping can be countered without Perks. Take hits and bodyblock for tunneling and do gens for camping

No, they don't "need" slowdowns for being good.
I only use pop sometimes on weak killers and corrupt on Myers. Haven't use Ruin like over 3 years now. I'm not addicted to slowdowns, I learnt the difficult way and my games aren't 5 mins because I adapted long time ago.
Survivors adapted aswell. ShiftW became the new meta, looping isn't the most efficient strat anymore. The only reason looping is still a thing is because of how overpowered Dead Hard is. If it got nerfed, you'd only see Overcome and Sprint Burst, which will ultimately kill any amount of looping. Slowdown is absolutely needed when tunneling is forced and Killers can only focus on 1 Survivor at a time and 3-Gen doesn't work anymore due to the same Perk, that being CoH
-
@ThanksForDaily said:
4 strong gen slowdowns at the top but DH is the problem. 😭
Add DMS into the mix because everyone uses it.
They're not even comparable. 90% of Killers need slowdown to make the game last more than 5 minutes, and all slowdown Perks are counterable. Dead Hard isn't needed to play, nor is it counterable when used correctly
-
It's too lenient if you ask me
-
There's nothing wrong with NOED, it's both counterable before and after it activates. Survivors just don't like to die after their made-up win condition of finishing 5 gens
-

I mean generic perk weak nerf noed is 300 IQ move.
Also jolt is from demogorgon, not really a generic perk (or is it, idk)
Ever since the ST characters got removed from the store, their Perks became generic Perks
-
Jolt is a generic slowdown Perk.
NOED doesn't need any change
-
It must be deactivated, it's so random there's no way it's actually active. You either get 2 Hook games or get 4K'd at 4 gens
-
@kisfenkin said:
Why do you think one side deserves something just because the other side might get something? Yes, killers deserve balance, too, fixing one issue doesn't mean the other side should automatically be given a gift for no reason.
The specific reasoning behind this idea, in my opinion, is about balancing camping and tunneling while making the game fun. The game is undeniably not fun for a survivor that is the first downed then camped and tunneled out. Base kit BT might help resolve this issue if the survivor is skilled enough to take advantage and escape, but honestly I don't think it is enough. More needs to be done. Maybe campers should get a movement debuff when they trigger a BT mending state as well.
If BT is made base kit, I hope that the rework of the BT perk after that just gives BT regardless of how far away the killer is.
Why do Survivors deserve a free unhook because the Killer decided to protect the Hook? Why is fun a good metric for balance when it's subjective. Does the Killer's fun not matter? Are Killers who want to win by playing strategically non-existant and the only camping and tunneling Killers are the ones who want to be annoying? Why nerf already counterable strategies?

Breaking a Boon Totem would kill all of them except CoH, which is the main problem

Yet killers font get that luxury. We get killer nerfs into the dirt. That is about it. Nothing game changing or perk releases that need quick nerfs.
I find it funny how this is mentioned and yet you literally got the new DMS-PR combo in the last patch, which is arguably stronger than ruin/undying particularly on high-mobility killers but also on less mobility focused ones. Boil Over absoluetly 300% needed the change because it was abuseable, not because it was strong. Unlike COH, which needed the change (and further changes) because of it's strength, Boil Over sat in the corner of "useless in 80% of scenarios, literally gamebreaking in 20".
Hell look at Billy's perks. They chopped them up so much nobody touches him. Nothing was fixed there.
I mean- you literally chose the killer with Tinkerer instead of, I don't know, Pyramid Head? Huntress? Wraith? Trapper? There's so many killers who have terrible perks and yet you decide to pick Billy, the guy with a niche perk (Lightborn), a good perk on M1 killers (Enduring) and a good perk on high-mobility killers (Tinkerer).
Also- in trying to make this an us vs them argument, you seem to have conveniently ignored the amount of useless survivor perks that also exist in the game.
His add-ons, yes absolutely. All they needed to really change was insta-saw, and yet they butchered his animations and slashed his add-ons into pieces. I still don't agree with that change. But cmon his perks are practically a godsend in terms of trying to do, say, adept Nemesis.
(Shockingly, still face more Billys than Pyramid Heads)
I'd disagree on DMS/PR being strong on M1 Killers. If Survivors know how to counter PR, which they do, DMS won't activate and M1 Killers can't pressure gens enough to make DMS an actual threat

Hi, i missed you, i didn't realise you left.
Honestly forums have felt pretty bad. StarLost and TheGannMan have been banned which i never expected. And recently someone came on here posting extremely gory images which has lead to them disabling images temporarily. Boil Over and Dead Man's switch are hot topics as well as Pig AFK Video tape.
What did StarLost do to get banned?

With all the "tunneling", "camping", and mechanic "abuse", dbd is neigh on unplayable. Though everyone was shocked and crushed when I said I'd leave forever, I'm back, because it's actually a pretty great game that I care about.
In all seriousness, though, I just took a break for a couple of months to play different games*, and I'm coming back now (not that anyone cares).
*I've got to highly recommend "Frostpunk" it's an excellent game.
Anyhow, how've things been here on the forums?
The usual, Killers complaining about gen-rushing, Survivors complaining about tunneling and camping, though some unsavory images have been posted a few days ago.
Dead Man's Switch is a hot topic currently, because it synergizes with an already hated (loved) Killer, Artist. It has counters but people are ignoring them.
Pig is also getting talked about, AFK'ing in front of a box with her Ultra Rare Add-on that spawns Survivors with traps on their heads is a new "exploit"

I don't even remember what the old animations looked like. The new UI is way better than the old one

who says removing her aura reading of her idle crows? in what part did i say that? at least back read before spewting nonsense.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2791380#Comment_2791380
meaning you rely on her trajectory assist? thats the problem im pointing out. that design of her power is a god design that makes her easier, and OP. You do not rely on remembering how you placed your power. that design helps killers to give a exact direction, having 10-0% error. i dont really see that as a nerf.
You could start reading correctly before telling me I'm spewing nonsense
I don't see the problem with her having a white Aura indicating where her birds are going to fly.
Where does it say anything about the idle Aura

Survivors can't counter camping/ tunneling without perks. You should play the other side before asserting anything.
I do play Survivor, SoloQ almost exclusively. It's 100% counterable, especially with the new CoH meta
-
@Faulds said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2792968#Comment_2792968
BT should be base kit because camping/ tunneling killers have too much power if survivors don't bring the right perks to deal with it. What happens too much in solo q. Did you ever play a custom match asking for the survivors for no BT/ no DS? It's a massacre.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2792973#Comment_2792973
You must not have that many hours in both sides then...
Survivors can counter tunneling and camping without Perks. Bodyblock the tunneled Survivor and do gens if the Killer is camping. Killers have to tunnel and camp to deal with how efficient Survivors can be/how bad maps and spawn can be. BT would also give Survivors a 5th Perk slot for more second chance Perks
-
I don't think BT should be base-kit at all, atleast not how it is currently. It rewards unsafe unhooks and allows for bodyblocking. If it was a nerfed version, maybe I'd be ok with it

The game should be oriented towards FUN for both sides.
Do you see me complaining about Legion's tracking ability? no. But Doctor's AOE Reveal scream is so stupid, plus it adds stacks and when you reach 3 stacks you can't even use pallets anymore. So first it breaks hide and seek component of game, and then it breaks the chase aspect. IMO Doctor needs a complete rework so he's not such an anti-fun toxic killer.
Doc is already a basic, weak M1 Killer, why nerf him further just to fit your definition of fun. Fun is subjective and irrelevant to balance
-
This wouldn't help SoloQ at all and would be abuseable by SWF
-
Only thing I disagree with is Engineer's Fang being too powerful. It's current downside of only spawning 2 additional chains outweighs it's upside. Injuring a Survivor with a Possesed Chain, especially when they're far away or you're not going to focus on them after the injury, is useless when CoH is meta. Engineer's Fang encourages 'Hit N Run', CoH punishes 'Hit N Run'

Shift + W was hurting before nerf too. Nothing changed about this. Maps are stupidly strong for Shift + W sadly. I don't know why they nerfed this add-on but add-on is fine for me.
It hurts even more now because you need a full down to get T2. The Add-on was nerfed for no reason and I can't even tell if it's any different from normal mutation gains in T1. I'm pretty sure it only makes a difference when going for T3

Nooo. Nemesis does not need any rework or touch. He is most fun killer at moment for me. And if you looks him pick up, i am not alone with that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2792606#Comment_2792606
This nerf did not do so much actually. It still good add-on. I am happy for Irri add-on buffs. They are really good now.
The nerf hurt a lot. 3 Tentacle Strikes on a Survivor that knows how to play against his tentacle and use ShiftW correctly is such a huge waste of time
-
Haven't faced a single one, where the hell are they?
-
No one enjoys tunneling unless it's done out of spite, but winning is fun so Killers that want to win have to tunnel and after a certain point you don't feel bad anymore
