What I would like is for the game to give you either a visual or audio cue of when your shred is fully charged. Bit like how Huntress' hatchets make that blinky noise when fully charged.
(unless demogorgon's shred already has that and I never noticed, but I'm pretty sure I've seen other people complain about this before in regards to the daily that requires full shreds, and getting screwed over since partially charged ones don't count for the daily)
Demogorgon has a hissing sound when his Shred is fully charged, it's subtle but it's there. Also, when Shred is fully charged, Demogorgon's mouth is fully open (I'm 60% sure, haven't faced Demogorgon in a while)

Boons are fine, CoH is not

The wiki says Hag is "Average" and I currently don't have time to check if she's also "Average" in-game

TV itself has the cooldown of a minute or two, I think that's the cooldown of her power.
TV's do deactivate once you have teleported to them, forgot to mention that, but the teleport itself doesn't have a cooldown
-
She can teleport to televisions scattered around the map with no cooldown, aside from a 30 (I think) second cooldown at the start of the match. She also spawns invisible to Survivors, unless they are within 32 Meters of her, in which case she'll pop in and out of existence.
She has inbuilt slowdown that takes around 3 and a half minutes to actually do something and has no chase ability.
She's old Freddy combined with Wraith combined with Pig combined with new Freddy

Hag is a “small” killer
Isn't she "Average"?

"Killer Secondaries"(Vaccines, Lament Configuration, Video Tape) should be made immune to Franklin's Demise, that way the Video Tape could still count as an Item so you couldn't just hold the Video Tape and an Item along side it. It also wouldn't hurt Nemesis, since noone runs Franklin's to counter Vaccines anyway, nor Pinhead, as using Franklin's on Pinhead is a waste of a Perk slot since if you're chasing the box holder, they're going to get downed at one point or another
-
My favorite change might be how they finally moved on from the outdated and restricting "A <insert fitting adjective here> Killer" and finally made something new and more creative.
Also like how The Onryō is our first 'Small' Killer, good to see more variety.
Haven't looked through all the Add-ons but Cabin Sign and Ring Drawing might be her "best" ones.
Killer Perks are good, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage might be killer with Make Your Choice.
Survivor Perks are fine, Parental Guidance might be cool with Smash Hit, Empathic Connections should've just been an Empathy buff to be honest and Boon: Dark Theory seems really good on paper but I don't see it having much use.
Overall, good and unique Chapter, though The Onryō could get some buffs, I personally find her quite weak

i literally started playing the game around the last halloween event, i dunno if that qualifies as "new".
and no it isn't just a game mechanic that's there so killers can "sometimes" get a hit around a loop, killers use it all the time in all situations with great success and not just to "maybe" get hits around loops
chasing someone in an open field and they're getting next to a pallet with no dead hard? you can just skip some distance between the two of you and hit them! even if they try to dodge running you can still hit them even if you miss at the first moment because the animation takes time to finish and in all that time it still can hit the survivor by moving your camera
the only problem with Dead Hard is caused by this game's connection and it affects both sides
if it wasn't for connection issues DH would be just fine, just like lunge attacks
and it's not an extra health state, BT could be considered an extra health state(and it's a fair one), Soul Guard could be considered an extra health state, not DH, DH is a dodge, you swing, the survivor dodges(which is something any human being should be able to do in this game...), you miss
there's no problem in that when you consider the killer can lunge at you at any time
like i said, the problem is the connection which affects both sides
with DH you can't react to an attack because like i said, when the killer starts the animation and you try to react most of the time the game will freeze your DH and you'll get hit because in the killer's screen they have already hit you and the game prioritizes that MOST of the time
plus i just realised, how is DH a free health state when you literally become exhausted after using it? that's a drawback, you don't get just a cooldown like a killer lunge
killers can lunge more than survivors can Dead hard and even counter DH with the lunge attack
literally all you have to do is wait for it after you know the survivor has it, it's so frickin easy
It's clear you're new to the game when you don't know how good DH is, nor how the game is even balanced. It's not a 1v1 game, it's a 1v4, it's why Killers have (some) upsides compared to Survivors
-
@Drawnyell said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2809198#Comment_2809198
yes i did because it is
you can just look at it
it's basically DH
you dash forward very fast and attack
the only difference is the survivor only dashes forward and has no attack
if you don't think so tell me how killers can simply counter dead hard with a lunge attack(something i did before a couple of times)
it covers enough distance fast enough to counter DH, so how is it so different from DH?
There's a big difference between a game mechanic that's there so Killers can sometimes get a hit around a loop and a Perk that that's pretty much a free health state with no counters and bugs out multiple Killer Powers.
It's obvious you're new to the game so please ask for help on how to get good before you start whining on the forums

killers already have so much stuff basekit
a weapon
a power
most are faster than survivors(from what i know)
they get help from the entity making the window get blocked after 3 vaults
they get bloodlust if they spend too much time trying to catch someone...
and of course... the Killer version Dead Hard that allows every killer to dash forward and attack
like? isn't that already enough? do all of them really need to be even faster than they already are?
i think maybe only some of them might need a speed boost if they struggling too much but not all of them
killers already have so much stuff to their basekit and survivors have to use perk slots to do even the most basic things ever or to counter really stupid things killers can do without needing perks
if survivors could do more stuff in theirs basekit you wouldn't see them just running all the time
unfortunately that's all a survivor can do sometimes... "hold W"
(also why don't you just say "running" instead of "holding W"? that happens so much in this community "oh just pressing E, oh just holding W"
you can do the same with killers, just holding W and holding M1 a lot of the time, that's called using the controls the game gives you)
You did not just call lunging a Killer version of Dead Hard
-
It's clear you're new to the game so please, ask for help on how to get good instead of crying on the forums

Iri Fang is really nasty man, if you can start snowballing by locking down the box next to a hook, you can keep sniping health states with the chain, add Thana onto that and you can exert a kind of pressure Blight or Nurse could only dream of.
At that point you're a worse Bubba. Sure, you could get some slowdown and camp the Hook, but you can't do that and consistently chase the box. The Survivors will get the box done if you're camping the Hook, and Pinhead can't counter multiple Survivors going for the save, nor can he counter BT
-
I'm not a Pinhead player so I can't help you with your build, but I am going to say that Iridescent Fang isn't that great. It turns Pinhead into a Legion without mobility and worsens his already bad 1v1. If you're going to hit people with Iridescent Fang you're probably prioritising getting injuries from afar. That doesn't work with the current CoH meta. The pressure that Iridescent Fang gives you is nullified by CoH and actively hurts you by reducing your chain amount to 2 extra chains instead of 3, which is already a small amount
-
All of these are fine, excluding Pinhead, he needs a lot of help to be anything more than "situationally decent"
-
DbD is 2 different games.
At low/average MMR (presumably your level based on your gameplay), the game is Killer sided due to the fact that Survivors at that level of play aren't good. They don't know how to loop properly, they don't know how to use ShiftW properly, they don't know how to counter tunneling/camping etc.
At high MMR, it's the clear opposite. Survivors hold almost all the power and the Killer is on a timer. Survivors know how to loop/ShiftW, how to cooperate and save/take hits, know how to use CoH/DH to its fullest, uncounterable potential, they're going to know how to abuse each Killer's weakness, use their time as efficiently as possible etc. At this level, every Killer but A tier ones and higher don't generally have a chance, and the ones that do have to tunnel and camp to do so
-
Agreed. Skillful play leads to wins, if you didn't win, was it a skillful play in the first place?
-
I've had the opposite as Killer, getting stunned when I'm not even close to the Pallet

I personally never had much issues with 3 hatchets but that's just me.
They could do a lot of damage if you let it happen tho, which will be usually against solo players or people who just run in a straight line.
Cross map Hatchet hits with Iridescent Head were funny, not fair, but funny

Judging by their latest killer designs, She is just going to be another anti loop killer that has no counterplay.
I don't know which version of DbD you're playing, but we have gotten a single good Killer since Blight, that being Artist, and she has counters. Everything else since then has been low B tier at best and below. Only exception being Twins, starting off at A tier, which have gotten an indirect nerf ever since their release dropping them around C tier

Glad I'm not the only person who thinks this.
I always loved going against nurse and spirit because they make you play differently and actually think ahead of what you are planning.
Can't believe people still cry over these 2 add ons as well, cause imo the were never really a problem to begin with.
The times i got actually downed by 1 of them i can count on 1 hand 😂
Pre-nerf Iridescent Head was a problem imo. 3 instadown Hatchets could do a lot of damage. Now that you only have 1, I think it's a little more reasonable.
Pinky Finger was never a problem. It was balanced, it made Clown actually scary when you were out of position. It still had the same counter as normal bottles, pre-dropping Pallets. With Pinky Finger, you just had to play more careful and not wander into dead-zones
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
Most killers are already OP. BHVR should take a different approach to killer mechanics and design killers that are fair. Some oppressive killer addons like pinky finger and iridescent head must be nerfed. They should stop making killers that can ignore loops and pressure solo survivors easily like Nurse and Blight. They should nerf killers that dont have interactive mind games like Spirit. They should remove the Bloodlust mechanic that rewards killers for holding W. The changes i stated must be done for the health of DbD.
Pinky Finger, Iridescent Head, Nurse and Spirit have already been nerfed, some of them quite recently. You just can't get over the fact you're bad at the game can you?

I see but I want to buy one based on how fun they are
Ghostface is more fun and has more dynamic gameplay. Freddy is a boring M1 Killer. Don't forget "fun" is a subjective term so you might want to watch gameplay to decide for yourself
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
I think you should by the Pig because she is a fair killer and playing against her isnt boring for survivors. We should encourage people to play fair killers.
Killers aren't forced to play "fair Killers" so Survivors can have fun. Killers can play whatever they want. Also, your definition of "fair" is "a weak M1 Killer that can be looped for 5 gens" so you shouldn't tell people what to play
-
@Sir069 said:
So I changed my mind a little bit and I want to buy or freddy or ghostface but dont have any idea which one so pls help me
Both are weak, Ghostface is Add-on dependant while Freddy has no useful Add-ons. Freddy is overall better than Ghostface as he can teleport and has an, albeit weak, 1v1 Power, unlike Ghostface who only has stealth and an instadown
-
Use your knives at low tiles and during unhooks. If you use them at loops with high walls, you're going to lose
-
Nemesis and Ghostface are the most fun Killers on your list, but Nemesis might be more fun
-
Victor snuffing Boon Totems should be added
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
They probably DC because Pinhead is an oppressive killer that has both good 4V1 and good 1V1 + he can teleport to survivors. The Box is a good way to distract survivors and prevent them from doing their objective and honestly he needs to be nerfed. They shouldnt keep making oppressive killers like him that make the game too hard for survivors.
"Pinhead has an oppressive 1v1" do you even try to break chains or do you run in a straight line? Pinhead has one of the worst 1v1 Powers in the game

Solo q itself is already painful and stressful enough. Against a killer like blight who’s running their best add-ons and build there’s literally nothing you can really do. How is a survivor going to tell the others he has tinkerer? They’re probably not even going to all be on a gen at the same time. This busted killer destroys even some of the best SWF groups.
I have a 74% escape rate and an average of 2 Survivors escape my SoloQ Trials. SoloQ being the worst thing in the game is a myth
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805782#Comment_2805782
OK? And im saying that most solo teams arent coordinated because they dont have voice comms.. which makes Blight way too strong against most survivor teams.
But Survivors can use their brain and realize that the Killer is using Tinkerer. If they manage to do that, which isn't hard btw, they can just split up on gens and counter Tinkerer. Blight is strong when Survivors don't want to adapt to him
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2787218#Comment_2787218
OP hasnt changed his mind because most replies are from killer mains telling him things like ''get better'' ''learn how to counter blight stop crying'' ''you are just an entitled survivor main'' etc. Maybe give a reasonable argument?
Because it is a skill issue? What more do you want. Even with Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying and Tinkerer, Blight is still beatable, it just requires coordination and game knowledge, which most Survivor players lack
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
Yeah i feel like the number of people who play with friends increased. And i cant blame them. Playing with friends is the logical choice since the game is becoming more killer sided every day.

Which is still easier than dealing with a loop that can't be destroyed at all. What was the point in the first place.
It's not better, it's a lose-lose. God Pallets/Windows/Breakable Walls are equally bad, Windows being the better of the 3.
God Pallets can be looped multiple times around, but requires 1 Survivor loop it, which means at max 3 gens are being worked on.
Breakable Walls don't require Survivors to do anything, meaning at max 4 Survivors are doing gens, but can't be used as much as God Pallets. But guess what, most Breakable Walls are also next to God Windows, which makes them even more busted. Some Breakable Walls don't even make a difference if they're broken or not. The Groaning Storehouse main building has a God Window and a Breakable Wall next to it. If the Breakable Wall is broken, it doesn't gain the Killer any more distance than if he just vaulted the Window

You can break them early. You don't have to wait entity blocker multiple times in the trial. It is a god loop only one time.
Which is a lot of time wasted in the early game, which most Killers can't afford. The early game is the Killer's worst, Breakable Walls either need to be dealt with at the start, which means you're not pressuring any Survivor, or you leave them alone until someone heads that way, forcing you to break it mid-chase losing the chase and losing pressure. It's a lose-lose
-
It's just SBMM prioritizing queue times over actual balanced matches
-

How the hell having litteral god loops was easier to deal with? You couldn't break walls back then. And i've seen even worse footage from when i wasn't playing dbd yet (before 2019).
Most Breakable Walls are pre-dropped Pallets, how is that a good thing?

I play both sides, and i know that there is issues on both ends.
That's great, but quite a lot of people only play 1 side, then start whining on the forums asking nerfs or buffs that'd make the game unbearable for the opposite side just because they lost 1 game
