The forum is filled with people asking for nerf/buffs based on personal feelings, it's why disscussion around balance are useless, people don't care about balance, they just want things to be fun for their side only
-
Killer: Demogorgon
Survivor: Steve

Clown's pinky finger addon makes him overpowered.
Legion can keep survivors injured and waste their time.
Pinky Finger got nerfed, unwarranted if you ask me, as it was the only good thing about Clown.
Legion is unfair because he uses his Power? Legion isn't the only Killer that can injure Survivors, isn't every Killer unfair by that logic?

basically every killer who doesn't force you to use your head is fair
So no Killer is fair?

Pig, Ghostface and Trapper are the only fair killers imo. I can explain why other killers are unfair if you want.
Only weak Killers are fair?

I would certainly like to see an example of that. Even if you manage to dodge a tentacle, the recovery time is slow coupled with his speed that they just get an M1 immediately after. It's the same issue with Artist. I don't mind his tentacle, it's when he can smash pallets permanently for the rest of the game with little to no speed reduction or recovery time. And again, Huntress suffers GREATLY from using hatchets. She already has a lower base speed, becomes slower than the survivor during wind up, and she has to reload. These things do not apply to Artist or Nemesis, or when they do, they are considerably less punishing. Having a powerful killer is not a bad thing. Having a killer that breaks the gameplay is. And these are the only two killers that I think do that. I'm not at all saying you can't win against them, but they are more frustrating because of their game-breaking designs.
They're not gamebreaking. Nemesis is in fact a mediocre Killer at best due to how easy it is to dodge his Tentacle and because of how bad his early game is. Artist is a lot better but not gamebreaking because she still has counters. You continue saying "If it's not fun, it needs a nerf". You're weaponizing the term fun to get whatever you don't like nerfed

They aren't comparable to Huntress though. Huntress suffers a significant disadvantage with her power including a slow and audible windup along with a massive decrease in speed while holding the hatchet and additionally she has to reload. You can also duck her hatchets at low wall loops She takes careful planning and reading of players to play well, but when you can, she's really strong. As for Nurse... yeah she does ignore pallets for the most part, but not vaults. Also she has a MASSIVE decrease in speed and again requires careful planning and reading to play well. Breaking LOS is a HUGE disadvantage for her and again requires reading. Nemesis barely suffers from any of those things. And once he's tiered up, there is 0 counterplay. You can't even pre-drop pallets at that point, you're just dead. In my opinion, he's manageable before being tiered up then just becomes ridiculously OP. See take someone like Billy, Bubba or Demo that can break pallets easy and quick, but there is a way that it can be played to either bait and gain distance or still get the stun on them. I think this is fine because it becomes about who can outplay who. Unfortunately that's not how Nemesis works though. I don't agree about PH either. I think for the most part PH is fine. He shouldn't be able to cancel his power and swing immediately afterwards, but other than that I like his powers and he's fun to play. It requires good reading on both killer and survivor to play good as or against him. My only real issues are with Artist and Nemesis. They are just fundamentally against the game's design. Also Pinhead is another good example of a well balanced anti-loop killer. His chain hunt is a problem though, but a super fun killer in chase!
Nemesis is easily manageable and it's easier to dodge his Tentacle Strike than a Huntress Hatchet. This just comes to me as a skill issue. Pinhead is fun in chase because of how bad his 1v1 is

I mean, they're not really balanced around the game's design. There are other anti-loop killers who don't fundamentally remove mechanics from the game or punish survivors for using them. Like others are saying, Nurse, Clown, Blight, Demo, Deathslinger, Doctor, Huntress etc, require not only skill, but the ability to read the player to either get a good or bad result from either the killer or survivor's perspective. Killers like PH, Nemesis and Artist fundamentally remove skill-based mechanics from the game(i.e using vaults and pallets, ya know the literal only two tools survivors have at their disposal during chases). It's just not good design and yes they are completely unbalanced because of this reason. PH is not as bad as Artist and Nemesis and I think is a fun killer to play against.
Huntress does the exact same thing as PH and Nemesis, use Power to counter Windows and Pallets. Doctor too, he's just bad at it. Nurse literally ignores every chase mechanic and plays her own game
-
Nerfing CoH is definitely the better option than nerfing Boons as a whole, since the other 2 Boons are actually balanced and a nerf to the Boon mechanic would kill the rest
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
Eh.. at least demo cant get unfair hits through pallets and windows. Thast why people complain about Nemesis and Pyramid Head more than Demo. Nemesis is literally a low budget Pyramid Head and their powers are so similar. Both are boring desings for this game and need to be nerfed.
Both Nemesis and PH are fine, you don't nerf stuff because it's boring, you nerf it if it's unbalanced, which both Nemesis and PH aren't
-
Demogorgon is A tier
The win conditions of the game, escaping and killing, don't require skill, only slight game knowledge
Trickster was at his strongest on his release
NOED is fine
SoloQ is about as good as SWF, you just don't escape against S tier Killers consistently anymore
Plague was A tier even before her recent buff
Trapper will always be the weakest Killer
Overcome is the second best Exhaustion Perk, right behind Dead Hard
CoH should've never existed
Gen speeds are fine
Maps and Survivor spawns are really, really bad
The game is not in the best state, the best state was after the 2021 September Mid-Chapter patch

There's no reason that this would make it take longer to M1 out of his charge, you'd just have to let go of the power button.
Which has a, albeit very short, cooldown. It's not long enough to be that impactfull, but it's long enough to feel clunky

Ok, that’s not what my argument was. Im saying that NWO BW and remember me all require the killer to do something to earn them. Noed doesn’t, and has much more powerful effects when active than either of the other perks mentioned. The killer doesn’t have to do anything to get noed to activate but hope survivors don’t cleanse.
Hex: Ruin doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: Haunted Ground doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: Undying doesn't require the Killer to do anything, Hex: The Third Seal doesn't require the Killer to do anything besides hitting Survivors, which is not a requirement. NOED doesn't require the Killer to do anything like other Hexes, I don't see what's wrong with it other than being 'unfun' which is a useless metric for balance
-
Why should it be? NWO and BW can't be countered, they activate and that's it. NOED can be countered before and after it activates
-
Trapper is the worst Killer imo. He wastes too much time setting up his Power for almost no guaranteed reward, as Survivor aren't dumb and know the most popular trapping spots, and that means Trapper is a basin M1 Killer with an unreliable Power. I don't know how to chance him, but he needs huge buffs

This is true, though couldn't the controls just be changed? Eg. Hold M2 to charge and the shred happens if you release; if you press M1 it cancels and you can then immediately swing.
That'd still require a double tap of the Attack button, along with making Demogorgon the only non-projectile antiloop Killer that requires a hold and release to use his Power. I wouldn't mind testing it in a Beta-Test, but I don't see the issue with the current system
-
No, please no. You don't know how often you get a situation where going for a Shred is way too risky, but you already started the Shred. Being able to immediately M1 out of an uncharged Shred is really useful. Only thing this would do is making short-Shred easier to use while making the rest feel clunky
-
Kindred and DS. You never know if you're going to get farmed by a teammate so DS is a good backup plan. Kindred also helps with coordination
-
Barbecue And Chili doesn't even give that good info, unless you're playing Pinhead

PS5 runs smoothly on 60fps

Nemesis sucks, skill issue

He insta breaks pallets faster than normal killers, with his chainsaw. So the stalling with pallets doesn't work as well wither.
Look, it's obvious you want Bubba nerfed because you just don't like him, you don't think he's unbalanced or unfair, you straight up just don't like him. You've been presented and ignored "vault Windows" counterplay thrice by now. Next time you make a Bubba hate thread, atleast acknowledge you don't want him nerfed for any balance reason

Stop lying dude. This is why I am going to start recording gameplay, starting today, of every Bubba I play against, and create a youtube compilation for the community to see.
Being able to TURN HARD CORNERS and getting instadowns from the 1st minute of the match with NO Prerequisitie (stalking, or whatever), is broken.
Vault Windows, getting downed by Bubba is a pure skill issue with how many Windows maps have

I agree. Most of the time when i play survivor they never get snuffed and it gives you an unfair advantage. Like killer, please snuff it ;-;
Snuffing is a huge waste of time when Boons are placed correctly

I got Dead Dawg Saloon 3 times in a row as Demogorgon, maps been weird lately

The Xenomorph is not exactly non-humanoid, but I feel like it's still alien enough to fit (get it? Alien?)
Here's the Power I thought of:
DbD Chapter Concept: Aliens New Killer: The Hive A hive of Killers, The Hive's Queen is able to set up Nests and send out its Drones using its Power Queen's Orders. With the help of their 3 Perks Isolation, Ambush Predator and Hex: Perfect Organism, they're able to isolate their targets, attac... -

It's funny. Survivors want to play against different killers and are tired of seeing Nurse and Spirit on every game but when a killer gets strong like Deathslinger they come to the forum to cry about how unfair it is to play against him and end up getting him nerfed and nobody plays him anymore.
Deathslinger never was good to begin with

NOED just illustrates how that logic doesn't apply really well in DBD.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2801641#Comment_2801641
Yeah, COH is still too strong... it needs nerfing. Each killer has their own issue, so i'll just stick to overall balance here. Cause even the weakest killers benefits a lot from the new additions (in my opinion).
Not really, weak Killers are the Killer's that have been weak for a long time no matter the buffs to or around them. Trapper and Pig, for example, have been bottom tier since their introduction, Trapper less so as he was the only Killer at a point but that's beside the point, Myers, Clown and Legion also have been really low no matter what.
Overall Killer buffs don't help them because they have problems that can only be dealt with by buffing them as Killers, and the buffs they get are miniscule or are getting nerfed instead.
DMS buffs doesn't affect them, they can't pressure gens enough to get use from it, Hatch nerf doesn't affect them because good Survivors will mop the floor with them and get a 4E, DS nerf didn't affect them because they're M1 Killers and a DS stun is a life sentence, etc.
-
Please disable RPD, please disable RPD, please disable RPD, please disable RPD, please disable RPD
-
Overall game balance is pretty good, but a lot of Killers are doing pretty poorly right now.
Every Hit N Run Killer is dead due to CoH, spreading pressure is impossible due to CoH. 3-Genning now barely works because of CoH
Wraith got nerfed, Deathslinger got nerfed, Freddy is a boring, weak mess of a Killer after his nerf, Nemesis got nerfed really hard for no reason, Clown got nerfed for no reason, Twins haven't gotten anything but nerfs ever since their release, Trickster got nerfed, Pinhead got nerfed, Pig got her Add-ons nerfed, Gearhead got nerfed, etc.
-
So Pig isn't going to get nerfed again? Awesome
-
Alien: Isolation
-
Anyone but Trickster
-
Steve is too low, he should be in a tier of his own
-
He'll get another nerf just because
-
Probably around 50%. What I do know is that my current escape rate is 80%
-
You'll get used to Demo's screams, trust me
-
Alien, preferably Aliens
