It's one of the most useless Perks in the game
-
I enjoy playing as Sadako but I dislike going against her. Her constant teleports always confuse me
-
I don't feel bad when I tunnel someone out of the game
-
Alien is you're into a slower, less action packed movie.
Aliens for more action.
This isn't a movie but Alien: Isolation is amazing. It's like Alien but on steroids. It's a stealth game so if you don't like crouching 24/7, then maybe it isn't for you, but I'd still recommend playing it, especially on Hard difficulty
-
I'm not scared of Sprint Burst, what I'm scared of is Overcome. Once everyone realizes it's better than Sprint Burst and has a better synergy with Medkits and CoH, then Killer games will be a nightmare again
-
As one of the last few Demogorgon mains in existence, I intend to make life as miserable as possible to whom ever doesn't have him
-
Demogorgon
-
There's AI Killers and Survivors running around now? Sounds funny
-
So you're idea of balance is punishing anyone with more than 1 friend?
-
I want a WW2 soldier
-
Make it work like Tinkerer.
Merciless Storm activates every time a Generator reaches 90% progress. Blocking a Generator for 20 seconds is too short for a Perk that can only activate 5 times per round, and is usually dealt with extremely quickly
-
Not every SWF is a 4man, nor are all 4man SWF's even that good
-
Yes, it's a straight up better Hex: Ruin

But is it my problem to get matched against efficient survivors that practiced the game for thousands of hours when I'm barely 100 hours into it?
No, that isn't your problem, it's the fault of our lovely Skill-Based Match Making System

The healing speed has probably been nerfed enough now. But they're not addressing the other major problem COH (and boons as a whole) have, which is their unlimited usage and lack of realistic counterplay from the killer, as well as their verticality effectively increasing their range at almost no downside.
I disagree with CoH being able to be relit indefinitely as a problem, atleast with the 50% helping speed boost. Blessing then healing will take longer than healing yourself with Self-Care.
The nerf was more or less about being able to place the Boon whenever wherever willy-nilly, which now you're not going to be able to do anymore, due to the massive time sink.
The new change will probably insensitive Killers to leave and snuff out the Boon Totem, which means bad Boon placement will be punished, which is what I wanted from a CoH nerf
-
Day 1 was boring. Survivors were really bad and getting kills was way to easy. Days 2-3 were probably the best ones

Well that's the problem you just confirmed that the game is not balanced and unfair if you don't play nurse or blight right ? I played the ######### out of them but they're too difficult I can't even down survivors with blight ability I don't want to play the dark souls version of killers to win.. All killers should be equally balanced and rewarding plus nurse is boring I don't enjoy her at all why would I torture myself playing her.
The game isn't balanced if you're not playing efficiently, against Survivors that are playing efficiently
-
I wouldn't mind if she got a few buffs, but the biggest buff she could, and most probably will, get is CoH getting nerfed. As soon as that CoH nerf comes out (down from 75% to 50%), Sadako is going to join Demogorgon in the lower end of A tier imo.
Sadako is one of the Killers that can deal with CoH easily. Totems usually spawn next to Generators and guess where TV's spawn? Next to Generators, which means Sadako isn't going to have problems with dealing with CoH, especially after the nerf which will slow down blessing a Totem then healing with CoH take longer than Self-Care

12 hooks ? How would you do that if you're struggling to hook 1 or 2 survivors ? Gens will get rushed too quickly they will deny you the 12 hooks everyone would escape before that with this meta and matchmaking.
I'm saying you should go for the 12 Hooks if you're interested in Pips. If you don't care about Pips, you would tunnel and camp. If you want Pips but don't like how fast gens are going, play Nurse or Blight, I guess?
-
There's no counter for dumb teammates
-
Nemesis is an overall weaker Demogorgon
-
Neither Boons nor Scourge Hooks need to be removed
-
It 100% needs a secondary effect. Either faster vaulting speed or showing you the Aura of Totems within 48 Meter (idk about this one)

Tunneling and camping doesn't give you pip
If you're interested in pips, then just go for the 12 Hooks and ignore the outcome of a match. If you're complaining about efficiency but don't play efficiently yourself, you don't really have a reason to complain
-
Killer:
Long ago, my choice would've been Play With Your Food.
It had amazing synergy with Twins, as Victor wouldn't lose you PWYF Stacks, so you could keep them for an extremely long time and would render Charlotte's weakness of being an M1 Killer pretty useless.
Now, it'd probably be Call Of Brine.
It's generally an amazing Perk. It's strong, consistent and has great synergy with Pop Goes The Weasel and even less meta Perks like Dragon's Grip.
Survivor:
I love Rookie Spirit.
I don't know why, but I just can't stop loving the info it grants you. It's not that strong, but it feels good
-
Gen-Rushing doesn't exist, the Survivors are just doing their objective as efficiently as possible. If you're having trouble with that, start tunneling and camping and generally playing as efficiently as you can
-
I'm playing Demogorgon pretty much every day, with a bit of Onryō on the side and I do dabble into Oni and Artist every once in a while

For SWFs at high levels of play, maybe it deserved the nerf, just because it allowed SWFs to get back 3 perk slots. Maybe... Healing is a big time sink for survivors and the less you heal, the better off you are and the more you get your teammates to heal you, the better. I think at higher levels of play, CoH doesn't really have much of a bearing because survivors know to do gens over everything else.
For SWFs at mid to mid-high levels of play, It probably needed a nerf because that level of play relies on healing more and SWFs at the level are better able to coordinate.
For SWFs at low levels of play, it's useless.
For solo-queue it's useless.
I was doing time calculations on CoH and healing wise, it's meh. It's really only perk efficiency where I could see the argument being made. Basically, it takes 2 heals to be better than self-care pre-nerf and 3 heals to be better than self-care post nerf.
The only reason CoH probably isn't as good at high MMR is because the most used Killers at high MMR are Killers that don't have a problem with it, like Nurse and Blight.
CoH absolutely destroyed everywhere else though, as at mid to low MMR levels, the best Killers aren't usually played, nor are they even played well.
Gotta disagree with CoH being useless in SoloQ. It's probably one of the best SoloQ Perks in the game. It shows the whole team where they can go if they want to heal up without wasting the time of anyone else on the team, resulting in overall more Generator progress, aswell as showing the team where the Killer is if they decide to snuff it
-
Please change it back
-
CoH deserved it's nerf and it will remain a good Perk even after the nerf
-
Keep in mind only 1 Survivor has to use CoH for the entire team to get it's effect and healing with CoH is still faster than Self-Care. It's long first heal balances it's overall strength imo
-
Wasn't this confirmed to be a bug?

I actually booted up and played some rounds one night on my PS4 again when I was away at my cabin last weekend.
Still the same problems that I had 2 years ago that made me switch to PC. I don't know if this is just a PS4 that hasn't been used in a while but I'll post it nonetheless.
When I play survivor it laggs/spikes when
- I get hit by a killer with Sloppy butcher, so the effects shows up
- Whenever I fall asleep when vs Freddy
- When I dead hard
- At the moment a exhaustion perks activated
- (Probably more, but these are the ones that comes to mind)
When I play killer it laggs/spikes when
- Bloodlust activates
- When I hit survivors with sloppy butcher
- Traversing underground with Demo
- Sometimes when speedbursting after uncloaking with Wraith
- (Probably more, but these are the ones that comes to mind)
That's been a thing ever since the Resident Evil Chapter dropped. Old-gen consoles sucked hard ever since
-
Sadako is going to have a lot of fun once the Hemmorrhage buff and CoH nerf go live
-
I like the nerf. It's what I wanted
-
@Bardon said:
It's only longer for the boon-setter - in the other thread Peanits has confirmed the math that the free self-care in the new CoH will take 21 seconds, still 11 seconds faster than the Self Care perk, and the healing bonus speed will apply to altruistic/medkit healing to make them still much faster.
Given that only the boon setter has the 14 second setup delay it's still a large plus for the rest of the team, especially as they haven't touched the area/multi-floor issue.
I know, which is why I love the nerf. Setting up a Boon and healing now takes longer than using Self-Care, which means it can't be placed willy-nilly and not waste that much time

If you consider the 14 seconds to bless it, 21 seconds to use it, which is 35 seconds, then you add the time to get to the aura which I would say is around 8ish seconds on average, Self-Care by itself will be better. Since Self-Care is considered a horrible perk, Circle of Healing would also be a bad perk to use.
The logical choice would be to use a medkit, put on gen-speed perks instead of healing perks and be done with it.
Yes, the first time using it will take longer than using Self-Care, but the long initial activation balances the speed at which you will be able to heal after, which is way shorter than Self-Care
-
I'm not even going to bother discussing why it's not that big of a deal

Sorry about being so b*tchy earlier. It just sucks that the developers will go and nerf something like Circle of Healing to Self-Care yet won't do anything about face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead at gen 5. And it sucks the entire survivor meta is so old.
I play both sides but anymore, I just don't want to play the game. Survivor is stale and Killer I don't get to play with my friends. Although I do like Sadako.
It's still faster than Self-Care. The only thing that got changed is that it can't be placed willy-nilly anymore

It is still buying the killer enough time to get another person.
Once again, your “1 kill at most” strat is already outdated.
Only if 1 Survivor spawned on Hook, which they don't. The first chase always takes around 1-3 gens, which means Deadlock won't save enough time to get another person

It seems fair to you that I got a chance to play for all of 5 minutes? Yeah oookay. 🙄 move on
How bad must your team have been to not be able to keep you alive for more than 5 minutes
-
That means Barney still has a chance
-
I wouldn't mind if it got removed because it skewed kill rates. I would mind it if it got removed because Survivors cried about it

I don’t think it’s a hard game.
i still shouldn’t have to lose my pips.
Why though? You died, you lost a pip. Seems fair to me
-
I don't think anyone will complain if the nerf comes to live. I have however seen plenty of Survivors complain about it getting a rightful nerf so maybe Killers aren't the childish ones
-
You should probably censor the name
-
Weren't all of these broken?
And CoH is still meta, it just punishes bad Boon placement
-
I love the nerf. It's everything I've asked for. It punished bad Boon placement without hard nerfing the other Boon Perks, as most suggestions would've nerfed all Boon Perks

Why should I lose a pip for being camped and tunneled? Camping and tunneling doesn’t make you SKILLFUL at this game. 🙄 I’m a red 2 so obviously I’m capable of running the killer but I lost so many pips yesterday due solely to camping and tunneling. Actually sometimes when I’ve even come out of the match with 20,000 points I’ve still depiped! The depip long system is unfair and needs to be reworked. I don’t care if you all think I need to get better. So do killers who cry about the BCH perk! 🙄
Nothing other than playing Blight, Hillbilly and Nurse makes you skillful at this game. DbD is a really easy game to play on both sides.
Yes, the Pip System sucks, but you shouldn't feel rewarded for dying.
Grades have nothing to do with matchmaking or skill
