Alien/Xenomorph as killer and Ellen Ripley as survivor obviously.
Ellen looking like Sigourney Weavers Ellen of course. Not whatever they did in Fortnite but rather Alien: Isolation

Jones (the cat from the first movie) as a new perk: you get a cat controlled by a simple AI that doesn’t leave your side (x m radius). In a chase the cat creates scratch marks to distract the killer. Otherwise not interactive with. (Or survs can pet the cat when crouching near it…)
Amanda Ripley as Legendary skin.
Nostromo as map. Possibly a second map on Sevastopol.
I'm not sure how the Nostromo would work as map, with all the ladders and all, but the San Cristobal Medical Facility would be my choice for an Alien map. Chapter 5 was so terrifying.
That Jonesy Perk idea is really cool. I don't know how that'd look in-game, with the cat following you and all, but it sounds like a good Perk, maybe with a short 40 seconds cooldown.
That's what I'm talking about.

I'd expect another horror icon butchered by bhvr.
That's fair, but I don't think they can ruin Alien. They'd have to force themselves to butcher it.
@InvadeGames said:
I would love an alien killer like that. especially if they could incorporate its acid blood in some way. perhaps if stunned causes a acid spray that causes a health state damaged. not sure if terrible but sounds cool. could be a good loop tool potentially
The acidic blood is a good idea, though I think it'd be better if it only melted the Pallet if the Xenomorph got stunned, not the Survivor.
If you wanted to hurt the Survivor with the acidic blood, then injure them if the Xenomorph got hit with Head-On, only if they're healthy. If they're already injured, they get a Deep Wound.

Spaceship as map. I wanna see Alien in DbD soooo much. It is super cool franchise.
It'd probably be one of the most unique licenses. You could do so much with the Xenomorph.

Alien or Predator bullied by SWF. No thanks.
If we got a Queen instead of a simple Drone, then the Survivors would be toast. No way you could bully a Xenomorph Queen.

Honestly the size of the xenomorph would probably be more smaller didn't they do that for demogorgon?
I don't think they'll reduce the size of the Xenomorph, atleast if it's based on Alien. The Xenomorph in Alien was pretty big but I don't think it was big enough to not fit in doorways.

Alien with ai controlled face huggers, stealth, mobility and acid. Instead of hooking it puts the survivor in a cocoon.

A li’l bit of chest bursting would be nice
How about, instead of AI Facehuggers, you would play as the Facehugger and you could impregnate Survivors, and then you'd be able to burst out as a Chestburster, and then evolve into a Xenomorph?
The mobility could be vents and the acid could be an Add-on.
Sounds pretty cool.

Shadow Step and Dark Theory make Survivors look like they're cheating. That's pretty funny if you ask me

Play Demogorgon. Everyone who doesn't have him will suicide on Hook against you and you will get free kills, you'll probably get reports too but I'm not on PC so I can't prove that

You definitely have some interesting ideas there. I like your ideas to change Nemesis' perks, Lethal Pursuer change is something that I would enjoy as it fits thematically but could be really unfair for the obsession. The Hysteria change would be perfect, but I think there should be a prerequisite before 'all' survivors become oblivious just because someone got hit, maybe they had to have been injured by you before and then the hysteria kicks in. Eruption I believe is fine as is.
For the Nemesis Changes, making him 110% would be a bad nerf, his movement speed is fine. As much as I want more range on his Tentacle Strike, 10 meters is a bit much even if you slowed him down. The Rush ability I always believed should've been a thing he had. And the Rocket Launcher, as fun as it would be, it would be broken as #########.
Who cares about balance? I just want to blow Survivors up

They could get creative with how the infection effects survivors and how Nemesis 'Evolves' as well, like if a survivor fails a skill check whilst healing they 'bite' the survivor they are healing and infect them, and Nemesis could then get more passive effects like movement speed after breaking pallets with his tentacle or gain a Rush ability.
His kit is nerfed due to the presence of the AI zombies that neither he nor the survivors can interact with in any meaningful way.
I had an idea that survivors could sneak up behind a zombie and grab them, do a few skill checks and kill the zombies, failing skill checks causes infection and then damage on the survivor when they are infected. And to encourage this, when there are no more vaccines left, survivors can extract a vaccine from the zombies there are attempting to kill.
I think Nemesis is a massive waste of potential and all he was given was a weaker version of Pyramid Head's kit.
Those are pretty interesting ideas, especially the 'bite' one, though I feel like that'd be a bit too punishing, especially with the harder Skill-Check.
If you were to remove the Zombies, yu could have infinite Cure Samples spawn in Supply Cases, but you could also spawn Cure Synthesizers on the map that require the Cure Sample to create the Cure, which would make Survivors waste more time
If you were interested, I've remade the whole Resident Evil Chapter, reworking both the current aspects of it, like Nemesis and the Survivor Perks, aswell as introducing my own spin on it.

Sure. But there is a reason for that bias - and that reason generally comes down to 'feel'. Feel can be as importance as balance sometimes.
DH 'feels' bad, because it'll often completely deny you hits that you earned.
CoH 'feels' bad, because you can site it in places where it's time consuming to snuff and covers 2/3 of a map (RPD library, Eyrie main structure etc.).
Trickster isn't a strong killer but feels annoying as hell to play against (ditto Doctor).
This can also work the other way. Twins are a decent killer but feel horrible to play.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886427#Comment_2886427
I think that where a lot of bad blood comes from is when something gets nerfed in a way that doesn't simply 'balance' it, but removes a lot of the fun and variety from that thing. Freddy would be my best example - he went from probably too strong (but really fun) to feeling awful and being very mediocre. His addons now, for the most part, may as well not even exist.
People look at things like this and go 'well, I need to be as vocal as I can be to prevent any nerfs, because if that thing that I love gets nerfed, it's going to go too far, and hit it right in the fun'. And feedback turns into a nest of whataboutisms and twisty justifications.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2886411#Comment_2886411
Mm. I'm going out of my way for a while to play a lot of survivor. I'm curious as to whether this will change my opinion on anything - I will say that man oh man that camping change needs to happen ASAP.
Even if the camping change comes, which will probably just be a nerf, Killers will just use the next best thing.
Bandaid fixes won't do anything. As long as BHVR doesn't change the core aspects of the game, those being Hooks and Generators, camping won't go away, nor will tunneling or "Gen-rushing"
Hooks and Generators need changes. Going for Hooks as a Killer is not worth it, as all 5 Generators can be finished before a Killer gets 1 Sacrifice if they spread Hooks, and having a Killer that goes for Sacrifices also doesn't feel good, as most teams crumble once the Killer finds and focuses on the weak link, usually not having time to finish all 5 Generators

I would like this too. His entire kit is generic anti-loop because of the ai in his kit, which sucks.
Maybe give the T-Virus side effects based on how long a Survivor has been infected.
Skill-Checks become harder and the Great Skill-Check Zone becomes smaller and smaller until it is fully gone. Maybe once 45 seconds pass, the Survivor becomes Oblivious and has the Blindness Status Effect to imitate the actual side effects of the T-Virus, that being necrosis of the brain
-
I have a better idea. Delete the Zombies entirely and focus on Nemesis' T-Virus. Make it actually threatening and not just a blue pain job

Father Campbell's Chapel also plays worse and runs worse than before.
Ormond is the only half-decent rework. And maybe Haddonfield, we'll see.
Ormond still sucks imo. The main building still sucks, like most main buildings, and Pallets are still pretty dense
-
Bias is a big problem when it comes to DBD, but there's no way to stop that. You have 2 polar opposites with completely different problems that the either side just can't see unless they play the other side, which most people don't

No, they do not. You are approving of one of the most toxic things a killer can do to a survivor in this game. The mere fact you say if the killer has already killed the other 2 survivors they've already won shows you're either being disingenuous or you're just bias. You should know it is not impossible for the last survivor to win if 2 are dead and 1 is slugged. I have seen so many 4th survivors finish the last gen, get the 3rd survivor up and both escape. If a killer has to play that toxic to get 4k then they didn't win anything. All they did was make the game miserable for others so they could think they got some kind of victory when really all they did was leave a survivor on the ground for several minutes at a CHANCE they would find the last one. For them to get an entire bleed out bar's time to search the map for the 4th survivor is unfair. Slugging ruins this game. Its not fun. Its not fair and it is VERY toxic.
I have seen so many 4th survivors finish the last gen, get the 3rd survivor up and both escape.
Its not fun. Its not fair and it is VERY toxic.
You said you've seen countless Survivors escape that situation, but in the same message you claim it is unfair? Hipocrisy much? Or are you making 2 different, contradictory claims to try and disprove a different claim and failed miserably to do so?

I do agree that Onryo does have a strong mechanic in her TP (that isn't brought up as a powerful strength enough, probably due to 100s cool down) but I have games where Zombies literally put in so much work, I can't even say I won the game because the mechanic gave me all the momentum.
Zombies can be dicks at hooks, especially since they never lose collision, even after a hit. When they work, the effect can be worse than a bubba saw. Unfortunately Onryo cannot command such a swing like that (and to be fair, neither can nemisis really, it's a chance thing, but the fact he has that and a chase ender over the Onryo?)
Keep in mind I'm one of the guys whose constantly playing her at higher MMR (maybe you are as well). I see so much potential in Onryo and just love the design overall. I want to have a few gaps shoren up, but I really think once she gets a few touches, she'll be just as good as any mid-high range killer (nemisis, PH, Demogorgon, etc ) which is actually all where she needs to be. I want the chance to stuff good SWF's if I'm playing right every now and then, not a killer that just loses her power with almost no risk reward to their main mechanic.
I won't disagree that Zombies can be powerful, it's just that they're so inconsistent that it's hard to value them and I tend to just ignore their existence.
With the upcoming CoH nerf, I feel like Sadako will enter the A tier, right behind Demogorgon. She can already deal with CoH pretty easily, as Totems usually spawn next to Generators, where TV's also spawn, but with the upcoming nerf, snuffing the CoH Totem will hurt thr Survivors time wise if they want to re-bless it
-
Onryō has the mobility and the 1v4.
Nemesis has the 1v1.
I find that the 1v4 is more useful than the 1v1. Sadako also doesn't grant 4 Health States.
@Hitari said:
How is Ghostface, Trickster and Deathslinger worse than clown? Both literally sh1t on Dead Hard users, which alone makes them way better.
Clown deals with Dead Hard easier than Deathslinger and Ghostface ever will. Deathslinger relies on getting in a chase, which is hard for him yhbaks to his movement speed and Terror Radius.
Ghostface relies on fully stalking a Survivor, which might get them once, but then they'll either never heal after or they'll heal and look around them 24/7 so they can't get caught again.
Trickster relies on map terrain, which like I said cucks him more than it helps him.

I love Onryo, but there is no way in hell she is worse than any killer with direct anti-loop. She may not be MUCH worse, but she still has a chase reliant on survivors not paying attention.
But I almost agree on Trickster... I have seen some really good ones though, and while maps certainly counter him, he's very annoying when that isn't the case and the person can aim well/is on PC.
Like I said, I think the 1v4 and map mobility is better than a 1v1 that can have up to 4 Health States

Maybe.
But that's three things for BHVR to fix (and they already attempted to fix maps but....yeah) so I figured I'd be realistic
I don't think they tried to fix maps. All they did was make them look nicer, which wasn't even successful imo, Coldwind and Autohaven look worse than before. They didn't really try to balance them, or made them worse than before, like Gideon

Gen speeds are fine imo. It's maps, Survivor spawns and Generator spreads that need some work to be more balanced

Playing without the meta on both sides sucks. I doubt the new MMR will do anything, but you never know, especially when it comes to the DbD devs. They're more unpredictable than a Survivor trying to dodge a Huntress Hatchet

What if the block list reset daily and you had limited use? This way you could avoid cheats etc, but killers aren’t penalised long term if for example they get blocked for good plays?
Least killers could also use this for gen hackers as well so at least they know they won’t bump into the same person that day after reporting them.
Or what are your thoughts on a casual playlist, E.g no rank and less to little bp?
I know a lot of killer mains hate survivors using meta perks and I’d honestly love to use something other than that in a less sweaty game mode haha, would be nice to see everyone chucking in a bit of variety
If it was a daily reset and you could only block a maximum of 3-5 players, it'd probably be fine.
A casual mode wouldn't work in DbD. No one likes the meta, so everyone will just flock to the casual mode and that will then become the "competitive mode"

As I've previously stated, I believe Sadako is in a pretty good spot currently. That doesn't mean I don't think she could use a few buffs, along with some nerfs to balance out the proposed buffs, to feel more "threatening", especially her Condemnation mechanic.
Here are the changes I thought of:
-Sadako should not have a Lullaby while demanifested.
She's the only stealth Killer we currently have that has a Lullaby and also has the Undetectable Status Effect.
-Sadako should not lose speed while demanifesting.
I don't think Sadako should slow down when she turns Undetectable, as it makes her feel clunky and doesn't really serve a gameplay purpose.
She should however keep her slowdown whenever she does exit her stealth
-TV's should have a 24 Meter Condemn-Radius.
16 Meters is a bit little in my opinion, and 24 Meters would also fix the problem with TV's spawning in a wonky position, not allowing them to condemn Survivors.
-Projection TV cooldown should be lowered to 60 seconds.
100 seconds is too long, it's longer than a whole Generator.
-Bloody Fingernail Add-on should be base-kit.
Her current speed boost upon projecting to a TV is a bit short. Either make the Bloody Fingernail Add-on base-kit or buff the base-kit by 25% and nerf the Add-on to a 25% boost.
-Condemnation now builds up passively, 1 stack every 25 seconds, once a Survivor gets 3 stacks of Condemnation from either Projection or from turning TV's off.
This would make Condemnation more threatening if a Survivor decides to ignore it.
-Holding a Tape would increase the passive Condemnation build up by 20%.
With this change, holding a Tape while having 3 or more stacks would be extremely dangerous and would force Survivors to quickly remove the Condemnation.
-Well Stone Add-on should be buffed to 7.5 seconds.
If turning a TV off disabled it by 75 seconds, this Add-on should be buffed aswell.
-Fully condemned Survivors should be Exposed.
This would help Sadako deal with how quickly the Tape can be inserted after getting a hit.
Here are a few nerfs she could have to balance out her buffs:
-Turning off a TV's turns it off for 75 seconds.
This would make turning off a TV more practical and useful, while also making Survivors interact with the Condemnation mechanic more.
-Cabin Sign Add-on should get nerfed to 7.5 seconds.
If the Projection cooldown were to get buffed to 60 seconds, this Add-on should get nerfed aswell.
-Condemnation stacks, when carrying a Tape, should increase every 35 seconds.
With Sadako's Condemnation being more potent now that it passively build up every 25 seconds along with the range of the TV's being buffed to 24 Meters, holding a Tape earlier on shouldn't be as punishing.
These were a few buffs and nerfs I thought off that Sadako could receive to be more potent. If anyone has feedback or changes of their own, they'd be greatly appreciated
-
It's because people still haven't learned how his Power works. There's atleast 1 complaint per week saying that chains shouldn't hit them while solving the box and that the devs should fix this "bug"
-
I don't want any new maps. They're never going to make a good and balanced map, and if they do manage to make a somewhat balanced map, they'll ruin it by changing the way tiles spawn on it creating infinites or just spamming a bunch or Breakable Walls next to God Windows
