It shows bias. You're rooting for YOUR team rather than making reasonable claims.
-
I throw the pallet down and the killer teleports to the other side while still holding teammate.
WELP.

It's a Leatherface perk. It's crap on Leatherface because of this.
And he can use basic attack to do it. It also allows Franklins Demise to actually work too, his second basic attack perk.

If you get hit by a chainsaw, you'll probably die. But in DBD, you only get knocked to the ground. Is that spreading misinformation too?
Instructions unclear. Sawed off own arms.
Thanks DBD. >:(

Whats this aversion to basic attack? It's half your arsenal.
Just use basic attack.

I agree Buckle up is worthless. A lot of Perks are worthless... it would seem easy to make Buckle Up even a little better.
How about Every time you heal another survivor health state, dying to injured, injured to healthy, the killer is revealed?
The issue with it is it shows you if someone is ready to be picked up. It doesn't speed up recovery or prevent getting slugged or whatever. And if the killer is still around it doesn't matter anyway if you can see their aura.
In the name of contributing to gimmicky perks, it could be a fake slug perk. You lie down and pretend to be dying. Maybe it gives you a protection hit for being picked up first and gives you a bonus heal speed for breaking the killers grasp.
-
My main issue with her is trying to blink through large solid object and stopping short if I didn't charge long enough, basically doing nothing and giving me the full cooldown.
I think the short blinks aimed at a solid object should phase all the way through. Would give her better control in tighter spaces.
-
The only one that needs a buff is Buckle Up which is literally useless.
Everything else can be worked into a build.
-
If you want to prevent his tracking using your blood you could zig zag in every direction. Blatantly a waste of time but will obscure your movements late game.
-
Because most of those effects don't apply unless the killer is using them on their add-ons. Sloppy butcher you stay mangled till you're healed. No time limit.

That's actually true. Good SWF's make all killers seem weak.
The mimic is a nice name :) (but I still love the name "the Doppleganger")
"The Faceless" is another name with a bit of mystique to it.
Honestly there's any number of ways to approach it.
-
@FilledPizza said:
While it does sound like a good idea on paper, it most likely hasn't been added due to how useless it would be rendered by SWF. In my opinion if this was to ever be added it would probably be Legion's power/what it could have been.
The entire game is rendered useless by SWF. Adding a clone killer wouldn't be any different. Even the "stealthy" killers aren't always stealthed. So a killer that hides amongst survivors would still be aggressive.
If they do add a doppelganger killer I hope it's called The Mimic. Even better if it was licensed like John Carpenters The Thing. We need some more body horror killers.
They could have a trust/madness mechanic that affects all action speeds.
Edit: And if they do end up adding in bots to the game, they could force you to trust AI in certain situations.

Hatchets, Chainsaw's, Corrupt Purge etc. Any special Attack doesn't work with Perks like Sloppy, StBfL, Surge. Why should Frenzy work with them?. They made it consistent so that only basic Attack's work with basic Attack Perks.
Old Legion was a Problem and very annoying to deal with so they changed him to be less annoying, why is that bad? He needs Changes but without making him unfun to play against. I find them fun to play as at the Moment, they're just pretty weak at chasing People.
They only need to give them some sort of better Chasing Ability and he'll be fine.
Just load up on chase perks. I see people panic when pallets stuns and loops don't work.

This isn't Star Wars, and the streamers were doing it with the intent of getting him removed. It is bannable to show exploits on twitch.
Dont try to white knight them after the fact, their intent was harm. Nothing else.
If there is an issue, and I show you it's an issue, you sweep it under the rug and pretend everything is ok right?

Remove all sound while phasing except crows. There, easy fix.

I don't think Billy was enabling anything, with or without him genrush will still very much be a thing, however, I do think there's a bit of truth in the rest.
Nerfing billy might actually mean survivor heavy changes or nerf might be coming down the line and they are laying down the prep work, why did they choose to nerf killer first one by one tho ? It's BHVR, logical thinking is not their forte.
The Game is 4 to 1. That also means despite the killer being the centerpiece of each game, there will be far more player feedback on the survivor side. That will always be the reason for killer first, then survivor.
It's an older brother complex. More responsibility is put in the killers hands to dole out what the experience will be. Instead of embracing the role, most killer players just want to exact their power over people weaker than them.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
Why?
Twitch streamers with thousands of viewers were in effort trying to get him removed from the game.
Some of the biggest streamers of this game were showing his backwards walking cheese all day, while saying openly "maybe this will get legion removed"
Majority of players had no idea about walking backwards, nor do the majority of players think like that - the behavior was encouraged on twitch and the cheese spread.
To this day, I blame them more than anyone, none were banned, only no-name legions who ran the "forever mending" exploit were supposedly banned, but people who showed the world how to do it,... well,... they still stream the game as if nothing happened.
Y'know I heard a funny theory that in Star Wars no one brought up the issue with the Deathstar having a massive weakpoint was because if they did, they were afraid of being force choked to death. Shoot the messenger and all that.
A problem has to get fixed regardless of whether or not the problem wasn't publicized. Steamers are just on a platform that allows them to spread the word faster.
Is Legion in a poor state and needs a complete rework? No. He's fully functional in the right hands.

Thank you for mentioning this, I've seen a post similar to this saying that gens are going to fast because of nurse, and nerfing her would fix that.
And after the Nurse nerf, in fact the problem go worse and that Nurse got completely killed off by bugs and the cooldown bar. This is just another post trying to justify the Billy nerf, despite many survivors and killers and streamers saying that it was a bad idea to nerf billy.
And they said it was a bad idea to nerf Ruin, and to this day no one still knows why they did it.
Jk everyone knows why, because they wanted an easy game. Oh, people can EASILY hit those skill checks according to the old Ruin fans right? Then theres no issue am i right?
There are very clearly defined REASONS why but you and everyone you choose to surround yourself with choose to ignore it. People obviously took issue with it, but you choose to ignore those gripes.
I'm not giving a reason for these changes. They were already there. All I'm doing is trying to add another layer to it.
Stay salty.

Yeah - Whenever I'm playing Trapper or Clown and 2 gens pop across the map before I can even physically get there thanks to god-tier survivor spawns, I always shake my fist and say, "Damn you, Billy!"
Your logic is unbelievably flawed, as you're attributing optimal survivor play to a completely irrelevant thing.
Why are you playing Clown? Just play Billy and that won't happen lmao.
-
There shouldn't be a compromise if one side is blatantly wrong and doesn't see how wrong they are.
Compromise only works if both sides have a point.
There's also the fact that people can't think abstractly about certain issues. Games are all illusion. That's not water. That's not a rock. That's not a real spoon.
-
Oh stop lying. You know you wouldn't leave them slugged anyways regardless of seeing Tenacity or not.

@SquirrelKnight said:
Nurse is a broken killer riddled with bugs. Gen rush is not the killers fault, its another hurdle of the several safety nets that survivors have. Gen rush the game, cant genrush? Just run pallet to pallet and drop them mindlessly because they are everywhere, still got downed? That's fine, just use DS, SB, DH, and once the last gen is done reap your Adrenaline crutch and t-bag out the door.
It's only a few killers fault. Because Freddy, or Billy can deal with it easily. It was the go to answer whenever someone took issue with it. Just play Billy. Just play Spirit. You don't see the correlation between the two?
They'll have to focus on it with a dwindling number of characters who can deal with it.
I've questioned it before and survivor players don't want a mechanic that punishes them for doing well, and neither does killer. So where does the compromise come in?

If you're not on the programming team then it seems like you're having delusions of grandeur.
Was trying to be cheeky but whatever.
Continue as you are. Nothing matters. You beat someone they were a potato. They beat you they were a sweat. And getting hooked during the load screen means you're the most balanced killer in the game.
Nothing to do now but wait for the patch.

If I was in a match with an Infinite tier 3 Myers I'd be on the opposite side of the map too.

not even that they could just hit the skill checks
You had to hit great skill checks. All the time. 24/7. Without taking into consideration any other variable that effected skillchecks. Hitting regular would stall progression. Everyone just hunted down the totem.
Jeese, it's like I'm in an alternate timeline or something. Nobody had time for teammates who weren't perfect.

I mean, the perk is just too strong not to imo. When I play killer, audio clues are the biggest giveaway of a survivor's location. If your goal in a chase is to have a prolonged chase and then escape, Iron Will is extremely beneficial.
Blood trails are even more damning. A killer following blood trails can't be shaked.

Once again your logic has no weight to it..hexes by and large are poor because the design is poor..most hexes shouldnt even be hexes..ruin didnt magically make other hexes weaker it was the only one worth the risk..the answer should be to being what's lower up, that way everyone gets more enjoyment out of these things
It raised awareness by being prevalent in every match. If you didn't learn to find a hex fast, you suffered. Same with playing against a killer who will win unless you do the objective as fast as possible because you're not given time to breath.
Nowadays it's more Haunted Grounds Roulette. But that's an issue with suffering the effects, not actually finding and breaking them.
-
Most survivors need to run Iron Will because I always hear "How did they find me?!?"
-
@immortalls96 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1470256#Comment_1470256
No because billy has 0 bearing on matches where Billy isnt present..common sense
If you're at the top of the meta, you are the meta. Leaving everyone else to sputter.
It's the same logic as old Ruin. You learn to deal with it immediately and all other hexes suffer since they have no lasting power despite not actually being in play.
-
F13th bots were awful though. They'd run to a Cabin, lock the door, then yeet themselves out a window when you got in. Then they'd stab you in the neck 200% of the time when you caught them.
As for a single player mode? No. It wouldn't work as it is right now.
As for a new multiplayer mode that uses bots as mobile objectives? I think that'd be more likely.
-
@immortalls96 said:
There is no weight behind this theory at all
Besides the hundreds of threads stating he can't be nerfed because bully squads will bully him? Lmao.

They should flat out nerf Aura perks and Spine Chill. You already get so much feedback from the UI and the killer themselves.

I don't think that will happen. People said the same after the nurse nerf.
There's still 2 more killers at S tier. Freddy who feels like they threw several ideas at the wall, and Spirit who people are hotly debating right now.
-
They'll have to focus on it now. There's more than 1 killer in the game, and Billy will be on the same level as them.
Gen rushing cannot be ignored now.
-
@MeatBycicle said:
You should tell the other survivors to stop gen rushing then when they aren't playing against a Billy. Unless every survivor is mistaking every other killer for Billy.
No you misunderstand.
People use Billy to combat gen rush.
Gen rush was to combat Billy.
Pot kettle, kettle pot.
Gen rush effective against every other killer except Billy. Sad killer faces.
Billy nerf.
Nothing to obstruct stats about gen times.
Gen rush nerf.
The two were enabling each other. So with one out of the picture, the other will need to be changed as well.
-
@Hoodied said:
Not true, I get genrushed whenever I play any killer, not just billy
And they can fix that now that there isn't a solo S tier killer who can effectively defend against it.
It's forcing change.
-
Fret not dear killer mains and survivors alike. For the rein of King Billy will soon be coming to a close.
Those killers who were mocked or often ignored will now join hands in equal harmony. And they shall call you brother, Billy.

@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
As if.
You can thank me in the near future when 3 gens don't go off at the beginning of a match.

-
Yeah survivors shouldn't have control over the match before it starts. Lock them down too. The game should be about adapting with whatever you have when playing survivor.
-
Whats your playstyle? If you follow injured sounds to track people she's top tier. If you don't use headphones you'll have some guesswork when phasing. But she can quickly traverse the map using her power if nothing else.
-
Still chewing on Skilled Huntress and Bill's protect 250 people. Yeesh. Not even an in-game counter for how many you did.
Mori'ing 4 people with Michael and sticking everyone in the basement for the tome was easier. Oh and obligatory console Nurse comment. Gen grabbed someone phasing through a second story window. Lolol.

It's a quick hook state and a mori if they get hexed again. What else do you want?
-
It's not Cowadoody. The game is about positioning and setup, not clicking heads.
-
It's function is pure profit and psychological validation for protecting your teammates.
If someone is running WGLF they're damn well gonna protect me from going down instantly again if they want their bloodpoint stacks.

PS4 Pro has a lot more issues with it than optimization. It blue screens if you have the PS store open too long. You want me to believe you can handle 4k but then eat yourself when trying to access the market?
I don't have much issues myself with DBD, but then again I am on a gaming monitor. Regular TVs would need a lot more bandwidth and refresh speeds to function properly.

So you tell me there is no difference between 4 good Players in solo Q and the exact 4 players using voice coms? That's straight up false. The amount of informations you can get with voice coms absolutly superior to any perks and skills a solo survivor can bring into a match.
Also, it's also the fact that red rank survivors are absolutly potatoes and the good players are just playing with other good players in swf. What's left? 99% of potatoes in solo Q and 1% of actually good players who go solo Q. Rank, matchmaking etc all these factors make solo Q unbearable.
I've had randos coordinate a hook save with zero communication with a face camping killer. We all met at the gate, crouch coded to go for a save, and off we went to save them.
All it takes is one good looper and everyone else doing their part to win. The basics are so simple. And whats that everyobe says in every single killer thread? Survivor ez. Just do gen.
There's also in-game items that communicate position like the map marker. And rando specific perks like bond to find people quicker.
