Not really UB allows you to recover faster and get up from the dying state. Flip flop(my version) doesn’t have that buff you recover at regular speed and your perk is in the killers control if he decides to pick you up or not.
Here's the thing: Like Unbreakable, this essentially gives you the opportunity to deny the Killer a chance to pick you up if left slugged for too long. Granted, unlike Unbreakable, you can't just pick yourself off the ground. But once you hit 95, that Killer pretty much cannot pick you up without letting you wiggle free. At that point, it is very comparable to Unbreakable.

Not really the killer could just pick them up and negate the whole perk. With DS you could take the stun if the game is going slow. Remember even with this buff the perk will still be situational cause sometimes the killer will never slug.
I didn't say anything about DS. I said this is similar to Unbreakable.
-
Doesn't that effectively make it Unbreakable with unlimited uses?

It’s only Victor. Charlotte doesn’t see blood in that tint and I’ve watched Michi play Hag on PTB and didn’t see a difference.
Interesting. Wondering if it is intention or just a bug.
-
I've certainly noticed the brighter blood when playing as the Twins, but I've yet to see if this is just a Twins thing or if it is the same with other Killers in the PTB.
-
I've been calling him "gremblin" myself.
-
He sounds like a baby, he looks for the most part like a baby, he runs in the unsure manor of a baby, he even lives in a woman's chest for crying out loud
You and I must have different definitons of "baby" if you think Victor sounds, moves, or even looks like a baby.

Okay, well I guess legion is a trash killer that never kills anyone. Deep wound does nothing and perks like Thanataphobia and sloppy butcher are useless. Obviously you've played more than my 6000 hours and have a better frame of reference of what is effective.
Now you're gettin' it.
-
They just asked if you could show them the Aurora Borealis in your kitchen.

The reason Legion doesn't stall well is because his ability is on a timer and has no map pressure. The twins have this covered because Victor would have no cool down timer just a small transition time and by being in two places at once basically you gain map pressure. I see this fixing the legion's current issue.
I disagree. I'd rather just be able to down one person than have a few people take a few seconds to get back to gens. It's not really map pressure if you aren't actually able to down someone without having to travel to them anyways.
-
@JackTheMimic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1743891#Comment_1743891
Lousy how though? You are effectively keeping survivors off of gens and injured while having an average speed killer with a longer lunge. Victor has no limit so you could keep deep wounding everyone repeatedly so they never complete a gen BUT you'd never get a kill until you switch to Charlotte. I definitely don't see a massive stall killer being "Lousy"
Legion's power is lousy because it is not actually that useful at stalling. The way you propose it for the Twins does not really fix that.
-
@JackTheMimic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1743875#Comment_1743875
Yeah why? You stall them making them have to mend also leaving victor near them while they mend shows you where to pick up your kill. Deep wounds was never a downing mechanic (save for some one who doesn't realize they have to mend). He's literally a demon baby creature, you saying he should be able to incompacitate a full grown adult?
Yes, he should. Because not doing so would make for a lousy power.
-

You aren't making the Twins more like Legion. Victor would just have a useful power. As it stands the oblivious, and broken status doesn't matter because you have to trust that the survivor will crush him. In not doing so the survivors are better off. With this change he inflicts deep wounds and moves to the next survivor. All the while Charlotte can stand by a loop or Gen to hit the injured suvivor. How is that more "like legion." read the whole thing not just the title.
Yeah, I read it. I don't support not being able to down survivors via pounce.
-
I support making the Legion more like the Twins, but I don't support making the Twins more like the Legion.

Small creature popping out of a woman's chest, that just shrieks and wails that you can literally stomp on vs. a man-child that you hit with wood.
While Leatherface does get points for his mental state (same with Huntress), I dare say that Victor has quite a few more in his pocket.
Once again, not wanting cancel culture, but there is literally not going to be a way to prevent "Kick the baby" memes.
I mean, I'm sometimes going to think of Kyle and Ike from South Park, so I ain't gonna stop anyone from cracking that joke.

Oh, I'm not saying they shouldn't keep this in, just that the connotations of Victors form learn farther towards a child than say, a massive man with a chainsaw.
Not so much when we're talking Leatherface in particular.

It's not. At worst, it might be silly if you use it as someone is coming to rescue you.

One thing is conventional showing of violence (otherwise we'd get a lot of gore and we get splashes of blood at best) and the other is LITERALLY showing how the baby is getting killed with all details (let's call things their names, instead of saying "nah, nah, he's not a baby, he's the same age as his grown up sister, so it's okay". He looks like a baby, so he is a baby).
It's not a baby, though.

Almost no one who is unfamiliar with the game (= has not played / does not play the game) will look at him and think he is not a baby.
Almost no one who is playing the game, but has not read the backstory, will think he is not a baby.
Why? For the reasons outlined in my quoted post above.
The moral of the story, then, is "Do your research before making conclusions."

He's not a monster. He's still human. Even though he's in the same age as his sister, the option of kicking him and throwing to the ground reminds some people a lot about harmful abuse against children. That's why people are so butthurt about it. I would be careful about adding this to the game, as DBD can be banned in some countries for that.
We already crossed that bridge with reboot Freddy.

Maybe Tampered Timer alone. When a Pig player combines two of the three slowdown purple add ons, it very commonly results in a kill. That’s what Firebrand is arguing about.
When it takes longer to search a box, there’s more boxes, or the timer is reduced by thirty seconds (the three strong purples), I would say a head pop is likely in four tries. The naughty part is if the Pig player manages the boxes and pushes survivors off, it wastes more precious time.
Otzdarva discusses this in his addon series and even has a great Pig video released in the last month or so where he highlights this.
It really does not (from my experience). Even if you go Tampered Timer + Crate or Tampered Timer + Sketch, more often than not, you are basically going Crate + nothing or Sketch + nothing.

@Steel_Eyed said:

They are good add ons. You’re making the case that it’s bad for game health, but those addons are very strong. She has green versions of those same addons. Then the exhaust and mangled can cause some problems.
They are good addons. I do not know that Pigs should or should not play to her strengths, but I am arguing they are strengths. You are sideways walking towards the same conclusion. See what I mean?
I would argue that Tampered Timer is not even a strong add-on. It does absolutely nothing unless it makes a Kill, and even in the best-case scenarios with the best add-ons to make that happen, that does not happen very often. I'll still use it because I love getting RBT kills, but using Tampered Timer is more often than not going in with no add-on in that slot.
Also, Bag of Gears isn't good either. Its effect is quite minimal. Its only arguable use is pairing it up with Crate of Gears to make Crate of Gears just a little bit better.
Slow-Release Toxin is actual garbage, and Rusty Attachments is only marginally better.
-
I wish I could play more against the Pig. She is one of the Killers I see the least when playing as a Survivor.
One thing to keep in mind is that Pig has a lot of really bad add-ons. Any add-ons that affects Skill Checks or inflicts a status condition onto Trapped Survivors are not worth using. Her best add-ons (read: her only good ones) involve either adding more traps, making them better at stalling, or speeding up the process of an ambush.
-
I've never accepted the whole "Scorpionz is really good as Pig, so Pig must be good" argument because the fact that a player is very good as a particular character does not necessarily mean the character itself is good and (by itself at least) is more of an indication of the merits of the player than of the character itself. See: Gimpyfish and Melee Bowser
I personally think Pig is not very good because neither half of her power is consistently good/useful. Her ambush is only good at certain loops (ones which are usually less than ideal) and, no matter how good you are with it, will always depend in the end on whether the Survivor makes a mistake. Her Traps' ability to stall are fairly dependent on variance and can range wildly from "quite solid" to "near nonexistent." Her stealth is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it, her anti-loop is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it, and her stalling power is below average compared to other killers more dedicated in it. The fact that she can do all of it but not do any of it well kinda puts her in an unfortunate "Master of None" situation.

Nah, I understand Pigs addons and heard people explain the negatives. I do not care for one of her iridescents, because it does not feel strong enough. But her purples, greens, yellows, and brown addons are almost all good except for like a hemorrhage yellow status effect and the three skillcheck addons. Everything else has a place, purpose, and use. Just be creative. She’s very good.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1738640#Comment_1738640
You actually make the case that her addons are good. I agree with a lot of what you say.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1738629#Comment_1738629
A lot of killers have bad addons. When you max out a killer you get pretty free range to pick and choose your favorites. I feel I only have a strong case that four of her addons are not particularly good (to me).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1738626#Comment_1738626
Glad you agree on concept. I think four seconds (30 to 26) is well and good enough. Just gift the brown away so that GF players don’t feel like they have to bring both addons for charge. But also 16 seconds is too short a time. With this the GFs will be in the 20~ second range and be free to play other addons without significantly knee capping themselves by not bringing charge addons.
Like I said, she has a lot of add-ons aren't just bad. They are useless. She has multiple add-ons that, when used together, are arguably not even an improvement over addon-less Pig.
She has:
Two good browns
Two good yellows
One good green
Two good purples
Zero good reds

After playing these killers quite a bit, Pigs and Legions addons are quite good.
I agree with GF to an extent. Ghostface needs the thirty second base reduced, but not allow stacking of time reduction so people can be freed up to use his other addons. Ofherwise double charge time is king.
No way for Pig. She has far too many god-awful ones IMO. Like, not just bad. Actual trash-tier.

Mori spamming was also a temporary inconvenience.
Mori spamming could last for much much longer than 4 minutes, if I understand it correctly. That I would imagine is much more comparable to holding a player hostage, whereas this is closer to body blocking a Survivor wearing an active Reverse Bear Trap.
-
I'd have to look at some other Killers, but nearly half of Pig's add-ons are downright useless. So she's certainly up there, at least.
-
I don't think the devs are in the market to ban people for what is at most a very temporary inconvenience.

I guess it depends on your rank. This stuff doesn't fly in red ranks.
I don't know if that is something that is dependent on being a red rank or not. If the Killer is slugging you and being occupied nearby, moving away can give you an out. If the Killer is attentive, then it doesn't make a difference. If the Killer is slugging you and then moving far away, then it would be better to recover as moving around would do nothing to put you in a better position.
-
@aEONoHM said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1737745#Comment_1737745
No, it really isn't. The only reason you should start crawling instead of recovering is if you have Tenacity. That's it. As a slug the ONLY thing you can do to be useful is recover. If you're not doing that, you're wasting the time of anyone coming to get you.
People are trying to get you up ASAP because you're out of the game when you're down. I'm seeing a lot of WGLF too, which is a great anti-slug perk.
I'm sure you mean well, but you're wrong about this.
I personally disagree. If the Killer is distracted with someone else, you could use the opportunity to move away first. If the Killer loses sight of you because they were busy, they may eventually decide that you are probably long gone and abandon you rather than risk losing gen progress, creating an opening for you to be rescued. If you just sit right there to heal first, you risk the still-nearby Killer being able to get to you before a Survivor does.

I had someone accuse me of cheating because my M1 attack had no cooldown while carrying someone. I told them to read the perk "Mad Grit," and they assured me that they already knew what it did and continued to accuse me of cheating. :P
And no, they absolutely will not ban you for this. They don't ban without video evidence, and any video evidence they could provide for that would either be insufficient to warrant a ban or obviously prove your innocence.

Someone pops the last gen, resulting in three Survivors with active RBTs (one was already active). I immediately force open the gate to start the EGC. Two RBT kills (one ran out of time, and the other was slugged and died trying to crawl out the gate), 0 escapes. Fun times.
