If the Killer runs far, far away to leave me on the ground, I will recover. If the Killer is busy with someone close by, I will crawl away first because I feel like I probably have better odds of getting back up if I move away while the Killer is distracted (so that I can then recover safely) than if I hope that the Killer won't just decide to come back to me to pick me up.

I agree, how would you rework it?
Admittedly, I'm not sure. I just believe that the perk in its current form is not salvageable and needs to be re-done from scratch.

Insidious. It only exists to camp and nothing else. I would just scrap it completely and make something else out of it.
-
I think the flapping arms being code for camping has kinda lost its meaning over time.

Counterpoint: We're getting a new Autohaven Wreckers as well, so the Killer is going to be a Wendigo that took up a job as a gas station attendant.

A number of these seem fairly OP for something you get right out of the gate, even factoring in that you can only use one at a time.

I use that light if I am holding a map whenever I am doing a gen, totem, or healing. Sometimes after changing my name to Jesus Christ and playing as Jeff. I really hope the crown headpiece cam be obtained in the future again so I can pick up Jeff's and complete the look.

now i know they sound different however it is not unthinkable that the entity got a person who was in the middle of turning into a wendigo and stopped the transformation process which could explain why it sounds more human than what is in the video.
Hate to be a killjoy, but if the difference is noticeable enough that you need to make up an explanation to account for the difference, it's probably more likely that your speculation is off.

I think I agree with this. I especially like the thought regarding just banning specific maps, as that is pretty commonplace in tournaments. Even a game like Street Fighter, which has just flat lines for every stage, is not above banning a beach stage because the shoreline obscures characters' feet.
-
I mean, if we're playing that game, nothing should stop someone like David from beating the crap out of some of these Killers. :P

I don't like the idea of such an OP protagonist being severely reduced in power level to fit the confines of this game.

Do you think it is something that could be looked into? Maybe there could be a cool down as in you can chose to avoid one player a day. Atleast it would be less abuseable then. I just think it could be implemented and actually be good and helpful :)
I believe every time the question has been brought up, the answer has always been no.

I'd agree with you normally, but DbD has time and time again rejected the notion of competitiveness and insists on it being a casual game. Therefore we can't hold special balance exceptions for the top percent of players (but we'll still nerf a killer who is only good in that range cough) so yeah, in this case I'm willing to sacrifice <3% of the game's population to hinder greatly toxic people and their effects on the game.
I'm not. Good players should not be obligated to "take one for the team."

Well the hope is that they block so many people better than them they only get easy games and therefor themselves become blocked by so many people they have no one or hardly anyone left to match with. This is an ok solution because abusers have to invest into it and get punished for it. Nothing wrong there.
For good players that get blocked by salty people, there's not a whole lot that can be done. I've suggested that instead of permanent avoid it becomes a timed one so that each player doesn't have to interact for a while and hopefully forget and virtually become new players to each other again. Or they can just take it on the chin for everyone else since they're by far a minority in the game. That's not ideal but neither is toxic people ruining the game for everyone and there being no mechanisms in place to even attempt to fix it.
If there isn't a whole lot that can be done for good players, then this is not an idea I can ever get behind.
-
What is your solution to players who are blocked by salty people for just being good at the game?

I believe it's actually called getting a free pallet and not losing an objective.
But nahh man you right survivors just op, buff killers.
Leaving them at a loop is actively dropping the chase, regardless of whether they drop the pallet or not. You didn't play around Dead Hard; you allowed it to succeed completely at the cost of only a single pallete.
-
I know they can get keys and stuff out of chests but I thought they show up post game info afterwards
I don't believe this is the case. I believe post-game only shows the item they initially brought into the trial (if any).

Let them Dead Hard, they drop the pallet, turn around and leave to go protect a gen. It's a big brain gamer play.
That's called "losing the chase."

It's pretty braindead to play around Dead Hard as well.
Is it? How do you play around it when they use it to reach a loop/pallete/vault point?
-
I would say being killed by a mori offering as Survivor, and losing multiple Survivors to a single Key as a Killer. I would also say seeing a player DC/intentionally die on hook in either case.

Ones that come to mind:
Monstrous Shrine
Territorial Imperative
Beast of Prey
Object of Obsession

On a scale of 10-11, how quickly would you profess your love to shirtless Clown if you could?
-
Need? Not really sure.
Want? Rework.
-
I think they'd have to do more than just open chests.
-
I forget who initially said it, but someone made a good point about removing the aura-reading from Undying: If you take that away, then Undying literally does nothing by itself. It needs to do something other than move other totems.

Tunnel by chasing and slugging them on the ground so they lose progress and have to be picked up to even attempt at getting the trap off. Effectively, 2 people can't do gens. You can hear the trap making noise. When you hook, BBQ lets you know where the trapped survivor is at to intercept them. 3rd person has to unhook the survivor then the 2nd survivor can be slugged so the 4th has to either pick up the survivor or stay on a gen. Go to the nearest gen and try to find the 4th survivor. Push them off, Ruin activates and starts regressing the gen while you chase the 4th. 2 survivors are effectively trying to get the trap off while the 3rd can do as they please. Intercept any trapped survivor you see or hear on the way and keep them slugged. Continue the chase until you catch the other person. If the 2 people wait too long, their head pops. At this time, Ruin has regressed almost all of the progress. Keep doing it until everyone has traps and rehooking/slugging until everyone is dead/head popped/slugged for the win.
This basically sounds like you're just saying that the plan is to just outplay Survivors as the Pig. Which...yeah, I mean, that's kinda the plan.

I never said tunnel the survivor. I said check the boxes to slug them and waste more time while chasing someone. If you keep downing people while someone is slugged and trapping them then gens pop, you're effectively screwing your team.
If someones' head is about to explode from you popping the gen then they trap anothers' head and then tunnel the first guy then the 4th guy pops another gen, you affectively got 2 people to be tunneled
You mention right here tunneling twice.
If you are going out of your way to check boxes, you risk losing gen progress. Unless you check boxes en route to other gens, you're wasting YOUR time, not theirs.

If someones' head is about to explode from you popping the gen then they trap anothers' head and then tunnel the first guy then the 4th guy pops another gen, you affectively got 2 people to be tunneled, slugged and out of the match for awhile and the 3rd has to either pick someone up or be chased then the 4th has to stop to do something. If the 3rd gets caught before the other 2 are picked up, you got 3 traps and the pig can just check the boxes, slug, check boxes, slug until they find the 4th one or until a head pops. What is hard to understand? Oh and Ruin just destroys whatever progress you had when you go pick up the slugged. If you just focus on gens, the Pig WILL kill all 4 before the gen pops if they check and keep downing box users.
What stops the gens from being done while you spent all that time tunneling the first Trapped Survivor? In the best-case scenario, you are occupied for nearly two minutes, which can very realistically lead to multiple gens being popped in that time. Then you have to spend all that time again trying to down someone else while the remaining Survivors finish off the remaining gens. Then you have to factor in that your plan doesn't start until a gen pops, which means you've already lost progress when you've begun to crouch tunnel someone to death. Unless the Survivors are potatoes and go down fast, your plan of tunneling someone to death is just going to lead to a competent team just blazing through gens and rendering multiple unused traps useless.

@TAG If you're playing like the way I've described, gen rushing literally is why the team dies. The counter is letting your teammates get the trap off but if Ruin is active with Undying, you will end up dying either way.
How is gen rushing the reason you die? Gen rushing means the Pig has less time to get her Traps going before the gates are powered and her unused ones go to waste.
-
Spike mentality is valid mentality. I judge winning as a Survivor by having 3+ people escape, and if I am playing to win, I am aiming to fix those gens ASAP.
-
I assume this is referring to the Dwightcrow charm. Yeah, the way that was handled was terrible, to say the least.

I don't think I'd put Pinky Finger at S tier. I think it's significantly worse than Irihead.
I would move Judith's Tombstone down to F. I think it suuuuuuuuucks and is one of the weakest perks in the game.
Amanda's Letter...ehhhh. I think I might move that to D? Not certain. I don't think the aura reading is worth the loss of the RBTs.
Those are all the ones I really have an opinion on, at least.

Certain Pig players constantly check the boxes and interrupt players who are trying to get the trap off their head. That's why Pig has such high kill rates. It's not magic, skill or a lot of effort. It's literally NOED combined with using a tracking perk and heading straight to a box where a player has no choice but to try and get the trap off. They don't try, head pops. They try, they get grabbed by the Pig. No chase needed. Just death.
How do those Pig players stop the gen rush, then?
