The game is balanced around sight and sound. The devs themselves have said that it’s harder to hear survivors in a chase for a reason, to give them a chance to escape. Messing with sound settings is no different from messing with visual settings, he can say it’s to “fix problems” all he wants but the people using stretched res could say exactly the same. He’s just a hypocrite.
But what if there are genuine problems with the audio that are a result of his sound settings, and he's adjusting his settings to return them to normal?

The even funnier thing is that Tru3 uses third party software to adjust his audio settings so he has an advantage when playing killer. That’s okay though apparently.
Last I remember, he was adjusting the audio settings to fix audio problems he was having in-game. That's not the same thing as giving yourself in-game advantages you shouldn't have.

Rarity shouldn't be an excuse to let overpowered things remain overpowered.

We've mentioned it in the past, but yes, we are aware, although there's no single right answer. Some people prefer 1, some people prefer 3. 1 gives you more regular updates, but 3 gives you less loud noise notification spam. I'm more of a tier 3 guy myself; I don't need a loud noise constantly going off in a chase, and I've never found the 4 second difference to be a game changer.
If you like tier 1, that's totally fine, you do you. If you prefer 3, that's okay as well.
The single right answer is to give players the ability to choose which tiers they want to use for any given perks. ;)

I swear to god she did the tournaments for her parents approval...oh well either way its chinese tradition to attend things like festivals gamers or not thousands attend every festival take it from me a chinese person lol
That's why I say "It's a stretch." OP is complaining that the Claudette costume doesn't fit Claudette in any way based on her character, but nothing about Feng's character suggests such a thing about festivals, but it's being overlooked because "eh, she's Chinese, close enough." It's a random collection of clothes that simply looks cool on her. And you know what, that's fine. I have no problem with outfits that might not necessarily fit the character's personality but still looks good on that character. There's nothing wrong with dressing Jake Park using dyed blue hair + shades, or Ace Visconti as a war pilot, or Feng Min in a "demon slayer" outfit, or Claudette in low-hanging pants + low-cut top and hoodie. Those just look cool, and that's the only excuse you really need.

Feng Min pushed her limits to prove she was the best. Sleep was less important to her than training. At the top of her game, she filled stadiums with fans who adored her. But it couldn't last forever; The pressure to be the best grew stronger and stronger. She pushed herself too far, slept too little, and her performance began to slip. She started to lose. At night, she would stay up, tormented by the thought of disappointing her parents… and her fans.
while her original reason for leaving was because she felt smothered so she could actually pursue her dreams it is clear that see you too have asked success in the gaming and esports industry to try to get her parents approval.
Despite being the one to distance herself from them the fact that she put disappointing her parents above disappointing her fans shows that she did extremely care about their opinion. Disappointing both parties did extremely hurt her but it was her parents that stung the most.
Her potentially disappointing her parents is a thing, but it's not the same as "she's doing this to seek approval from her parents". And you can't tell me that disappointing her parents stings the most when she immediately mentions disappointing her fans right after. Her habits aren't described as "I'm doing this to make my parents proud!" They're described as "I'm doing this because this is my calling and if you guys can't see that, then you aren't worth my time and I'm better off abandoning you!"

She might have gone before she was in esports? You can't just say something like that. It has never been said by the lore that she wouldn't. Not like with Claudette, where the lore disagrees with that principle.
That's purely speculation with only the thinnest of grasps. I can absolutely say "It has never been shown to be the case for Feng." I have to go with how the in-game lore portrays her. The in-game lore portrays her as someone who prioritizes her esports career above all else to a massive fault, giving up everything around her to spend hours upon hours in internet cafes and focused entirely on gaming to the point where she was destroying herself. That doesn't really mesh with the idea of embracing cultural festivities and whatnot.

Actually her family shut her out. All shes wanted was her parents approval but they never gave it.
That's not what her description says:
She felt smothered by her parents who refused to see the potential of a future in games, so she left home and spent her time in internet cafes and LAN parties where the old rules didn't apply. She spent hours playing, streaming, competing to rise to the top. Her parents became what she called "holiday parents" as she never saw them outside the holidays, and she became the black sheep of a one-child-family.

I never even played SH3 and she doesn't look anything alike her original. What bothers me even more is that I took a peek at actual gameplay of SH3, and yeah, somehow the Heather from 17 years ago looks better graphically than the one BHVR has in their game.
I would definitely not say that graphics are one of Dead By Daylight's strong suits by any means, but her model really does not look better in SH3 than in DBD IMO.

Honestly, do these two look like the same person? I don't mean to be negative, I love the DLC and I think it's overall a good one, but I think they could've made a better job. She is like the female version of Quentin to me.
She looks substantially better than Quentin. What are you talking about? If anyone is the female equivalent to Quentin, it's Laurie.

Only thing wrong with the DBD model from what I see is hair. And that's always been a problem.
Anyways, this thread is pointless now that OP has been exposed.

True but even if it were competition its not that big of a concern numbers speak volumes dbd is the king at the moment and its on all platforms i dont think you can really call anything competition to this game at the moment honestly.
I mean competition in the literal sense of it being a competing game of the same/similar genre. They're not going to license an IP that already has its own currently-active licensed game to a rival product. Friday the 13th is different because the devs have ceased development on that game, so adding Jason to F13 shouldn't cause issues in that regard.

Predator is basically dead as well tbh that game is not taking off like they thought it would but yeah as far as friday the 13th goes it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to license jason out to dbd once this is over i wouldn't be shocked either again money talks.
I mean that Friday the 13th is no longer having new content developed for it. Predator is still live competition for Dead By Daylight.

Yeah i just posted as some people think just because he has his own game it'll never happen was just posting showing the open invitation was put out there.
The important thing to note is that Friday the 13th is basically dead (beyond any maintenance and currently existing player base), so Jason is basically open season. I wouldn't say the same for, say, Predator.

No need to punish. Simply double, maybe triple the kill score on that one hook so that the killer can at least safety pip.
The problem is that that doesn't do anything for the remaining Survivors who are now screwed because someone decided to ragequit.

I have since edited this to word it better.
It's not even a matter of wording for me. I just don't think the connection there that you propose makes sense. If it doesn't make sense for Claudette to be wearing more revealing clothing due to the description of her character, why would it make sense for Feng to go to a festival similar to the one you describe or wear garb similar to the one you describe based on the description of her character?
To (mostly) quote you, "It is never shown to be the case for Feng."

Base trap time: 2:30
Annointed Plan: +0:30/3:00
Tampered Timer: -0:30/2:00
I can't remember how long it takes to actually search a box, but you can easily combine the Jigsaw's Sketch with Crate of Gears or Tampered Timer to real metaphorically light a fire underneath a survivor's rectal area. Adding boxes does also reveal that you are indeed The Pig much quicker as they are a unique part of her kit and a dead giveaway as to who you are. Same with the Plague's fountains. Sometimes as a stealth killer, it's better NOT to reveal your identity early on, so this might also be a factor to consider.
If I recall correctly, I don't think Annotated Plan is actually +30 seconds. I think it's closer to 15? I don't remember for certain, but despite both add-ons using the word "Moderately", I don't think the absolute values of the time modifications for the two add-ons are the same.

Not really? She is a person who would probably go to those, since they would be relevant events for everyone involved. Not only is it a spiritual thing, but it is something that brings people together. They have these kinds of things all over the world. From Asia, to Europe, to the US. Think of it like a fairground in the US.
It certainly makes more sense than the new Claudette cosmetic set.
What makes Feng Min seem like a person who would go to cultural festivals? Her description paints her as a die-hard video game addict/Twitch streamer/esports professional who shut out her family increasingly as she got older and became entrenched in video games.
-
The Feng skin makes sense. She is Chinese, so going to festivals makes sense
This one feels like a stretch.

It's not about that. People from DBD dev team who design character faces make them look as inhuman as possible most of the time. Recent Zarina's face looks like she's both at her 20s when you pull her from a locker and at her 40s when you just look at her from afar.
Laurie's, Quentin's, Tapp's faces are a whole new story. I think they made them ugly on purpose, I have no other explanation here.
Tapp I think is fine, ignoring the fact that he doesn't look anything like the actor who played him. Laurie ain't great, though, and once glance at Quentin the Hobgoblin says it all.

Maybe they can make hemorrhage brighten the blood stains like Bloodhound does. And for Bloodhound, they can change it so you can see blood tracks through walls. It would make perks like Lucky Break more useful.
I like the idea for Bloodhound, but I don't think brighter blood alone would make Hemorrhage worth it. It needs to have a more prominent effect IMO.

I'm honestly not against in-game voice chat at this point. Just make it opt-in so people who don't want it don't need to turn it off every time.

Dev #1: Killers want Ruin and Thrilling Tremors to synerg-
Dev #2: YOU CAN'T. BECAUSE...UH...*scribbles onto a post-it* I was just given a memo from the higher ups. There's this Survivor perk we're totally adding to the game that blocks gens so it pauses regression. Yeah. That's it.

It's going to encourage tunneling to get players out of the game faster. Besides, if you tunnel a player, you don't deserve a mori.
How is that much different from what you can already do in-game?

I have never seen the original Fright Night but I liked the newer one and I can’t believe I forgot about Alien! Oh, 30 Days of Night and 28 Days later were good too!
I guess I like some horror, I just hate gore filled movies like Saw.
I enjoyed the newer Fright Night as well. I have a friend who SWEARS by the original one and refuses the acknowledge the remake. :P
SAW is a franchise I will likely never bring myself to watch, despite maining Pig.

I’m in the same boat. The only two horror films I liked are Jeepers Creepers 1&2 (which wasn’t really scary) and Scream. A good third runner up was the prequel to The Thing, which I think was more suspenseful than it was horror.
There are VERY few I've seen and enjoyed. I actually enjoy the original Halloween as well as the most recent one. Fright Night and Alien are also good.

The wiki is official. It's officially endorsed by the developers and the owner (a good friend of mine) is in contact with them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1301114#Comment_1301114
The 48% thing on the wiki refers to the maximum amount of luck you can get right now, using what's available (Up The Ante and offerings), and not a hard cap. Unless the wiki explicitly uses the word "cap", assume there is none.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1301673#Comment_1301673
That's not how probability works.
When I say that it's not official, I mean that it's not actually maintained by the developers themselves.

That's because the game did not exist on console at the time Bill was released, and they didn't have the rights to put him on other platforms for a while. It's the same reason Freddy still isn't on the Switch version.

The wiki is not official; only community-run. It is possible for it to have incorrect information. The devs have repeatedly stated how luck works. Up the Ante does not interact with chests in any way.

Five bucks. I got the game via PS Plus, and almost every character that I didn't buy using Iridescent Shards someone else bought for em as a gift. The only one I've bought myself so far is Ash (though I intend to buy Ghostface too).
I ended up rebuying the game on PC along with all the chapter DLC (up to Ghostface), but it was all on sale, so that came up to about 60 bucks total. Then I dropped 5 bucks for auric cells (also on PS4), so I guess it comes up to about 70ish dollars now?

Doesn't Adrenaline bypass Exhaustion? I don't think Slow-Release Toxin would help against it.

Leatherface is generally considered one of the weakest killers in the game, so I highly doubt he would be worthy of any nerfs without any significant buffs first.

Why would they release a generic offering to promote licensed content, though? It doesn't really make sense.

I was kinda hoping this would be a thread about WHAT your suggestion for a rework would be.

@Unnamed_1 said:
Everyone will probably tell you the same as I do: The RBT's are not for killing in the first place. They are more a timewaster with a consequence if you ignore it. If the Pig would get a notification everytime someone trys to use a jigsaw box it would give this killer a somewhat unfair advantage even more if the number of jigsaw boxes decreases via add ons and the pig then always knows possible locations from which the survivors are not likely to move in the next 30 seconds.
Solution: The Pig gets points depending on how long a Survivor is wearing a Reverse Bear Trap, and they receive the points once either the Trap is removed or the person wearing it dies (regardless of how they die).
-
Question: Has there actually been any confirmation as to whether the next Killer will be licensed or original?
