Things that have been happening since the start if the killer really wants a 4k

Take it at face Value
A 1v4
Killer Objectives: Stop generator progression at all costs and kill the survivors
Survivor Objectives: Repair the generators as quickly as possible and survive the killer
Forget face camping/tunneling and "gen rushing".
Far as I am concerned, we are complaining about the same things since 2016.
Just play the damn game!
-
It helps bad killers more than it helps good killers.
And it still is a crutch.

Dunno about you.
I'm still waiting for shirtless Myers

Well it depends.
Do you solo or SWF often?
Do you like to be the target of the killer or play stealthily?
Do you mind being the gen jockey or savior?
Play what you think you will find fun. The more you play around with perks, the quicker you will find what you personally like. Sure there are some perks that are just objectively good and some that are bad, but that can be subjective from one person to the next, depending on amount of skill and how quickly they can learn, or what they struggle with.
You do you man.

Aight

They shouldn't
He is a completely loopable killer. And he already has a cooldown on his chainsaw soo..
Unless you just want to be able to visualize the cooldown?

lol

Battle Passes
I like them about as much as I like monthly subscriptions to play online

DCing is a thing in every game whether they have a ranked and casual, or just casual, or a kind of pseudo casual with a ranked system, which DBD falls into
Competitive modes punish people for DCing on purpose, as should happen.
Casual modes do not, whether punishment happens or not is up to the game makers. Generally, casual modes do not punish genrally.
The problem with DBD is that it's an asymmetrical 1v4. That has a ranked system-ish thing going on. Which some people take very seriously, and some people do not. It's mixing the competitive players and casual players, which is kind of a problem.
Now should DBD have a dedicated ranked mode? To be honest, I got no idea. But something does need to change.
Punishing people for DCing won't really help anything. And as the guy in the video states, there are many reasons why people DC, and what if it is just a mistake. How does the automated system know?
-
How do you lose to a killer camping?
Do the gens lol
He only gets 1

Yeh, i'm getting people teleporting around

i meant movement speed lmao
Ah, thanks for clearing that up.
Yeah sometimes he does seem a bit faster. But he stands straight up unlike most of the killers, they hunch over.
Clown is in a similar boat, he seems quite fast, but he is normal speed.
Mind playing tricks.

Is it just me or does trapper just seem faster?i know he isnt but does it seem like it to anyone else aswell?Im guessing it looks faster cause of his animation maybe, dont know tho
When they reworked his addons back a bit, they made his base kit settings speed a bit faster. Hag also sets traps a bit faster.
To help lessen the time you are taking with trap setting, which is their biggest issue. Since it takes away time from putting on gen pressure and chasing survivors.
-
Not really. It's fine right now.
Plus I can't count the number of times where I hook the guy with DS go after another guy, get him pretty quickly, and end up on the guy with DS whether or not I realize he may have it, only to be striked.
Didn't tunnel, just ended up on him, and it hadn't been a minute yet cause they down easily. If it activated twice, that would be some crap. And you don't always have the time to make the decision whether or not to slug and it's like a coin flip if he does have it or not.
So nah. It would just go from Crutch to Anti Tunneling Tool, back to Crutch. Cause your immune twice for 1 minute. Whether or not both times you get slugged, that's not being hooked. Plus jump in locker or purposefully get grabbed in a chase you force DS. It's time wasted that the killer doesn't have. Since 1 minute is like, 2 gens on the regular now a days.
-
I like when survivors DC as soon as they step in a trap...
Then I get blamed for it...
Cause that makes sense...
-
Oh no trapper used his power
Pretty sure in The Survivors Rule book, he just broke rule #536
"The killer is not allowed to use their power".
Quick go screech at him in his steam comments!

Good Ol' Billy for me

Can relate.
He's to strong

They always take a while
-
They did what the vast majority of the community asked for/suggested should happen.
Everyone including the DEVs knew how strong her addons were, especially Omega Blink.
Basekit Nurse is fine.
They actually did a great job on this one.
-
I like whacking Laurie

Hope I don't see them at rank 10+
Bummer if they get dragged up by their boosted friends :(

Clown or Doctor

It's allowed and bad or newer players will get the greatest use out of it.
Can't knock a new player for using it, probably one of the few perks they have that's actually worth a damn.
Bad players are just that. Whether they are practicing or not. Or just can't get better.
Good players see little to no use of it, simply because they get everyone before the gates are powered, or there is only 1 or maybe 2 left by the time the gates open, it it's almost irrelevant. Plus better killers usually means better survivors, they will get ridda totems.
TBF, only bad and new survivors complain about NOed being OP cause why do totems, where as only bad and new killers use NOed because of lack of skill.
At any rate, it's a perk, people can use it if they want to or not.
Also The Doctor recommends the totem cleansing treatment, has a 100% success rate of a NOedless game if all 5 are done. Nurse approves.
-
I agree
I got a few friends who have owned the game for a while. But they do not want to play, because even though they are rank 20, they are facing killers that are clearly beyond rank 20, maybe not past 10, but have a couple hundreds of hours already.
Just played with one of them yesterday, first match was vs. a trapper that used Iridescent Stone, Bloody Coil, and an Ivory Mori to boot, and NOed if that interests you.
A rank 20 survivors, my new friend.
Me and another friend around rank 13 cause reset, and another friend around rank 15, he plays but not a whole lot.
And the killer was rank 8. Shook his head every time he downed someone, not sure why, we weren't even being toxic. Some killers.
Either way, the MM has been screwy lately, but that is still no excuse, and this has been an issue for some time as OP has stated.
Sucks that they don't want to play since 7/10 matches are like that.

Right now it's a function of matchmaking being messed up. All these new players getting thrown in with old players is a bad mix.
Yeah, that doesn't help either

Lot's of games have a competitive and casual mode.
The competitive usually gives an abandonment punishment. Where you can get temp bans, up to perma bans, etc...
Most casual modes do not gives bans or abandonment penalties of any sort. One that does is Dota 2, played that often. Games that do not, Rocket League, Rainbow 6, CS:GO, TF2. There are more than do and do not give punishments for casual, I am sure. But as you can see, I easily named more than do not punish compared to the one that does. If you have more, would love to know. I am sure there are games similar to how DBD is with it's matches.
The games we play do not usually punish for RQ at least in casual, and since people don't care about rank, and it's not really competitive, they are more likely to RQ or at least leave the match. Whether or not they mean to.
Unlike other games, this mixes it's ranked and casual sort of. Since there is no other mode besides KYF, and that's not something people want to do on the regular. I am sure you can see the problem here.
Should there be a ranked mode for DBD honestly, I see no point but at least it would help standardize expectations a bit.
-
No he's not that bad.
But you get better for free, and I feel most people have their mains that they already like, such as myself.
No point really other than for a variation in content for steamers and the like, unless you just really want the perks I guess, which are not to great.
Had fun messing around with him and some friends in the PTB, however not sure it's really worth tossing the cash, especially since it's licensed, therefore you cannot use shards.
At least, that's for me personally.
-
Getting punished if you win with Billy to fast, cause chainsaw doesn't count as 2 hits for some reason? Lol
-
To many to choose from
-
To be perfectly honest
Nothing has been standing out as super strong. And the new perks still need a lot more playing around with in combination with other perks.
But as far as everything prior to the Stranger Things DLC. Aside from obvious buffs to the very niche and rarely used perks. No particular perk has been a thorn in my side more than the next. Both killer and survivor side.
Is this what it feels like to do less complaining, and more of getting good at the game?
Think some people could give this reality a whirl.

Would it be fair to pit PC players against Console players?
Dunno
I play Rocket League with a mouse and keyboard vs PS4 and Xbox all the time. Controller supposedly have an advantage in the game, and I could understand why. But I seem to fair pretty fine.
tbh, we would never know if we don't at least test out how it goes. The ones that would probably have the biggest problems is killers on controller. But there would be plenty that would argue otherwise, so I don't bother getting into it.
At any rate though, I would love to see crossplay
-
Ever since I really started to play a lotta Billy and Nurse
It's like the map became my home town. Corn, corn, corn, and more corn.
Minus the beans.
Sometimes you get a random swamp like area. Kinda dampens the mood.
But hey, now when I get a map that isn't full of eyesores, it's pretty one sided.
-
Hill Billy
I think its fun to just run in with your chainsaw and watch the survivors scurry away in horror as they think "Not another Billy". Honestly, he's just good fun, and he's very balanced.
Otherwise Nurse. Cause... Nurse. I to like to "win" on occasion.
-
1v1 isn't fair? Course not
That's because its a 4v1
-
I get a lot of Swamp...
To Much Swamp...
Please make it stop...

@Swiftblade131 Are you really trying to say you’re gonna beat a good Omega Blink Nurse? You have a VERY slight chance against a good Spirit. Long range blink Nurse? No way. That is EZ mode. Doesn’t matter if you’re the best survivor in the world...if the Nurse is good, you lose.
Okay, glad we are not reading the post all the way through. Thanks.

New patch is changing the grind up to make it easier
Invalid post

The PTB is out.
Has anyone actually tested the damn perk or are we just gonna keep whining in the forum when we can get answers?
Think I already know the answer. A little bit of both :)
-
So, instead of staying in the matches to get better against Spirit, you probably RQ because "OMG so OP I don't wanna play, no fun BS killer". Sure I am assuming, but generally those who make a post about how they are bad against a certain killer often leave instead of playing and trying to get better. At least, are more likely to make a post then those who are good vs X killer.
The only thing unbalanced is her silent phasing addon, which unless you have spinechill or the killer is inexperienced, your in for a rough match, but not unwinnable, similar to omega blink Nurse.
Trust me, you can beat a spirit.
-
Gotta give it to Clown 100%
The knife twirl with the laughter to follow is great
The absolute unit is not only thicc but he also quicc!
-
Remember when you could use them soon as you downed someone?
Good times!
-
Lockers exist.
Get Closer to the hook.
Try to hide behind a gen. (Least reliable)
Go one way 5 seconds then turn around.
I think the first 2 are the best.
-
Yes, there hasn't been anything I want passed Clown.
If I see a perk I want, i'll nab it, otherwise, BP it is. I'll never bother buying survivors, since they are all the same. Plus Claudette is free so... Clown was the last killer I bought. Besides Doctor and Hag back in the day. Rest of them, I don't really want to play them and will wait for their perks in shrine if I really want one.
Far as cosmetics go. You get the Prestige clothes. Good enough for me. Makes you harder to find. The buy able cosmetics don't really help much.
