And I get looped every game. What about it?

The game population is already dwindling, and and lobbies already take forever and people already dodge lobbies. Let's not over complicate it. DBD isn't a competitive game.
Then let's get rid of the pipping system already.
Cause we do not need it anyways. And as you said, it's not a competitive game.

Making my point for me
That most survivors are? yeh
-
Leave as is. Just make it 100% reduced groans of pain.

@mmain said:
Are some survivors toxic? Yes, absolutely. Are some killers toxic? Yes, absolutely. Can the post you just made be turned around to paint killers in exactly the same light you are attempting to paint survivors? Yes, absolutely.
Most survivors.
-
People still use Self Care? I just use medkits.
Let them waste their time.
-
Leave because I feel bad the killer needs to use NOED
The less amount of time he needs to wield it the better. They will learn eventually.
-
Deer Stalker was already pointless
-
Never been called a cheater unless I guess a spot where a survivor might be, but didn't have Aura reading.
But have been called a camper plenty, I think they assume you are camping soon as you go invisible. It's funny, but don't listen to them.
Regardless of if you camp or not, it's not up to them what you do, if you gotta stick around the hook, then do so. If you feel like you want to hunt for someone else, then do so.
Your the boss :D
-
Wait...
It was a bug? How ironic, that this game had a useful bug! That didn't break the game. And they got rid of it fairly quickly, cause it's a "bug" yet they can't seem to fix any other bugs, like oh I don't know, the footsteps being quieter every new patch.
Funny...

Legion, Wraith, exist..

Thats what i thought legion was gonna do considering the cinematic when he killed david. The disappointment.
Same. I heard a lot of people thought that was how Legion was going to be based on the little cinematic. Which is where a lot of disappointment came from on launch mostly from killers who where hyped to play him. The rest of the disappointment, was from the survivors not liking Legion whatsoever. if you recall ever DC every happening during Legion's chapter.
It really was a poor chapter, poorly done killer. lackluster survivor, awful map, and overall despised and touted as the worst chapter in DBD, aside from Freddy of course, but atleast he got a banger of a rework that turned out well enough.
The Legion chapter is still an issue to this day. The DEVs are clueless on what to do with them. It's Behavior's very own FA76, of course on a smaller scale. But a disaster nonetheless.
I hope they can fix it some day.
-
Man. Not gonna lie, I started out disliking Legion, then went to "I can deal with this". And now...
Now I just feel bad for the poor bastard. I don't think the DEVs even like them, nor know what to do with them. They are kind of the bane of the DEVs existence right now.
Now they suck, killer's aren't happy. They are to stab happy survivors ain't happy. It's a mess. Wish it was as simple as Freddie's fix, did a damn good job on that one.
-
Probably another bug with the new patch.
Harder to hear footsteps, happens to often each patch. It was never really fixed to begin with. So.
-
So its a one use exhaustion perk with no passive benefits?
Now it's more like Lithe, Dead Hard, and Sprint Burst.
What's wrong? Now it's really Balanced Landing. Before it was Unbalanced Landing.
-
Good one.
I like a guy with a sense of humor.
-
And your not hooking them why?
-
It would be useful
If we got a mish mash of all of them 20-15, 14-10,9-5, and 4-1. Then do the same things except make it just a specific one for each as well, Xbox, Playstation and PC. Would like to see all 3 separately and then put together, see how the difference is graph to graph.
-
Unlucky I guess
-
What was it that the survivors are always crying about?
Something about having "Fun" in the match I think...
-
Neither of them are OP
However, DS gives you a 60 second invincibility card, either you get slugged or you stab the killer and stun. The killer has to guess if you have it or not, since there is no tell tale sign. Which at this point, the others can come and heal you.
Head On requires some set up, you need to get into a locker and wait a few seconds. Then the killer needs to go around said locker.
Sure combine Head On and DS you can do this double stun. But it's not really effective or helpful unless you get multiple Head On stuns out of it. You won't run into this often. I have never ran into it, only seen it on streams.
Out of the two, DS is stronger, especially now that Enduring does nothing to it for whatever dumb reason they had. Anti-Tunneling it is sure, however most survivors will stay injured or snag a quick heal, then try to get you to chase them. You waste your time on a chase that results in them getting away anyways, which is just like old DS in a nutshell. They are just on a 1 minute timer instead. And now it is stronger cause Enduring does not work.
It's not OP, but to say it isn't one of the stronger perks is incorrect.

Feel like games with ranks will also generally help separate you from players who are just gonna demolish you anyway.
I would like to see a month long live build with cross play enabled, and gather information on performance. Or maybe starting from the 13th to the next 13th. Could get a broad view.
Simply put, I played a lot of COD zombies since WaW release. It was all on console, so about 10 yrs worth of console. I got used to console since it was all I had for a while. I built my own PC about 4 yrs ago, got used to it. Played some more on console just a couple month's ago, sure I thought it was completely unbearable, how can anyone play this? But after a few days, I got used to it again like I had never left.
I tried DBD on my friend's console. I don't get how he can play survivor or killer with the controller. But he did about as good as I saw any other PC player do. It's just what they get used to. So with that in mind, I don't personally think Cross Play is a stretch.
We won't know anything otherwise. We could assume all we want, but that's not fair.
-
Rocket League and Paladins both Cross Play.
On Rocket League I use KB/M and fair quite well, but people say controller is way easier and will make you better. I could never get used to it, even with over 1k hours.
Paladins also has Cross Play, while I think PC players have an advantage, you can't just count out console players. Many of them are quite good, despite the advantage we may believe we have.
My 2 quick examples, not much detail, sorry.
But I have a friend who is playing the new Modern Warfare on PS4, he says it has cross play. From his point of view, while PC may be great and all, he dumped on plenty of PC players just recently. It changes game to game of course, who knows? He also plays DBD on PS4, I actually asked him about it, and he said that it would probably be fine.
We can't think so lopsidedly. You gotta let things play out first. Also that's why there is an enable or disable cross play option is most games

idk what you are talking about whenever i see a op/nerf this thread people usually also mention mori's and keys. Main reason i made this thread actually is because for some reason the use of keys has gone up drastically since the release of the lvl 2 archives. they have always been a problem but were out shined by insta heals.
The use has gone up?
Maybe there is a reason now. End Game Collapse.

Literally nobody is bothered about Billy, his chainsaw hitbox is possibly a tiny bit big and it would be nice if the sound of his chainsaw was directional but that's it. He's one of the most balanced killers in game and people do realize that.
I couldn't agree more. But toxic bums have other things to say. And based on past experience. It might not be a fun ride. Already getting plenty of DCs.
We'll see how it goes huh?

Are people legitimately this pressed about the Spirit changes?
I couldn't give less of a crap about Spirit being 100% honest. Didn't buy her. So I won't put my thoughts into her since I know the basics about her and playing her.
But it is quite clear what is going on right now. Nurse's changes where more drastic than Spirit's, I think Spirit got off easy, and it was nothing super changing. But Nurse and Billy have been around longer, people have been crying about them longer. They are gonna get the worse treatment.
Nurse's wasn't SUPER jaw dropping. But it happened. Addons like Omega Blink, and multiple blinks I agreed with, but I could not get behind the basekit, and some of the addon changes made no sense.
But the fact of the matter is. At any point, a killer that survivors are not liking can get nerfed quickly and easily, simply by DCing against them. That is something people should not be able to do.

I said Nurse base kit was balanced. You may disagree but I know people who will disagree with you too.
Nurse basekit was balanced all things considered. But if we are getting into the nitty gritty, Billy's basekit is more balanced than Nurse's basekit.
But hey, what do us, the people that play the characters know, am I right? Better listen to the survivors who DC.

Add on changes with a sliiiiiiiight nerf to his basekit ;)
Sounds familiar ?
Slight addon changes, with no basekit change. That is my suggestion.
Not sure where you got basekit nerf from. His basekit is fine.
-
Ah, so despite keys existing since the start, NOW it's a issue.
Thanks for having my back guys, been seeing an issue with hatch and keys since day 1.
-
I cannot agree with a basekit nerf, played with just the basekit no addons for over 700 hours, and it's basically a staple for balance.
The biggest "problem" is, in the combination of addons. Not one addon in particular. If they wanted to nerf or get rid of Moonshine, I won't cry. If they made it so Primer bulb and Tuning Guide couldn't stack, that would fine. One addon of charge time decrease is plenty.
Like I said, the basekit is very balanced, altering it to extremely is what makes it a "problem". Even though, there are some people who just need to genuinely get better.
-
Ah, I see Billy is now "Over performing"
Basekit is perfectly fine. To be honest. I stopped using addons after I ran out of them. I forgot how more or less busted the "insta saw" addons are. Went back and tried them out, and yeah, they could use a tone down. Or rather, get rid of or change the Primer bulb addon, then you can't double on the "Moderately Decreases the Chainsaw's charge time", which is what makes it so fast.
~ The Begrimed, Rusted, and Grisly chains are fine, they can't even stack so...
~ Depth Gauge and Light Chasis are for beginners if we are being honest, no real use once you get more experience.
~ Long Guide Bar and Speed Limiter are a joke.
~ The commons Vegetable Oil and Spark Plug are fine, perfect for commons.
~ Chainsaw File and Homemade Muffler are, things that exist. Nothing special about em.
~ Death and Doom engravings give what I believe to be a fair trade off, slow chainsaw charge time for more speed, but it is also harder to control, shocker. Pretty balanced.
~ Spiked Boots and Thompson Moonshine, these vary person to person. I have a few friends who love Billy, but they are actually worse with these addons. When I double up on them, personally some of the curves you can do seem unfair, but that is with lots of practice. That being said, using both is overkill. But not sure if they need a change, if they do decide to change one, then Moonshine.
~ Thompson's Mix and Carburettor Tuning Guide, I think these 2 put together are the strongest, of course that is my opinion. You get a decent bit of everything, from decreased Charge time of the chainsaw, to reduced to cool down so you can use it again faster, and also the benefits of the Chainsaw File and a lesser Depth Gauge.
~ Primer Bulb and Shop Lubricant, are slightly better versions of Spark Plug and Vegetable oil respectively. Good addons for uncommon.
I think the biggest problem here is that, when you start combining cooldowns with the addons, it can get a bit overwhelming. Primer Bulb in particular with Carburettor Tuning Guide make for a near instant chainsaw, which has a hard to match timing for a dodge. I do not believe this is THE strongest pair of addons, but it takes 2nd easily. That's what you use when you WANT TO WIN. Quick downs, makes pallets easy to shred quickly. Then there is one of my personal fun builds I like to use, that is Moonshine and Doom Engravings. Slower charge time and increased stun time when hitting objects sure, but being able to move so fast and almost as well as normal (Probably better) is just really fun.
So to recap, I do think there are some addons that could use tweaks, combinations is what makes them strong. Basekit, I don't see an issue, he can still get looped like a D tier killer assuming the Billy is question is not very experienced, of course the amount experience changes everything. It will be a shame to see him get nerfed, if he does, I always viewed Billy as one of the THE most balanced killers, and he has held that since the start, shocking players with what he can do for being as basic as he is, but he stood the test of time and is still top tier, even with minor to no buffs or nerfs. But a nerf to him, would probably drive me away from the game.
I may be stubborn to think like this, but as I said, I believed he was a staple for balance. And if they nerf that, then not only is that saying what I believed was wrong. But nothing is safe. Why nerf something that isn't nearly as busted as Nurse? It's starting to become a problem is what i'm trying to say.
If you did read all of my babbling, thanks for taking the time. It would be a shame to see something actually balanced (In my opinion) to get nerfed. Because that means there is no standard, since you would be taking that standard away.
But hey, what do I know? I don't own a company 😂
-
We are in communist Russia comrade.
What's yours is now ours!
Even though I never did anything to try to obtain the items. Seems fair.
-
Nah
Me and a friend found it back when it first launched and played it a bit, we talked about it to some of our other friends, about 5. Made 7 of us in total. 1 of them stopped immediately, 2 of them gave it a few months but stopped all together. I spent the most time on the game. My friend who originally found the game with me got his DBD account banned, so as you do, you make another and do the same ######### cause why not I guess? The other 2 who we play with play it very casually.
But I have never actually recommended it to someone. Can't bring myself to do that. I'll talk about it if it peeks their interest, but that's about it.
-
There should be a casual and ranked, ranked people won't RQ cause u can get banned quickly and people DC from casual cause it's casual why do you care? This is not a competitive game.
But hey, DBD gotta be quirky and unique and combine ranked and casual players no? Mistakes where made and never fixed.
-
I have not wanted to really play since Legion's chapter.
Nothing is compelling me to play the game at all let alone killer. Bloodweb grind was finally lessened sort of, that's great. But many of us had already had just about everything. And it was not rewarding in the slightest.
And Devotion levels still get you nothing aside from an extra 200 shards. Oh boy sign me up for grinding!
I just can't find a reason to play. When I do play, I just kind of laze around and don't try. The fun and competitive spirit I did have for the game has burnt out a while ago. And this "casual with rank" thing they are going for, is bad for the game and is mixing pools.
I would suggest, like every other game on the planet, do have a ranked with solos only, and a casual where you can have any number of SWF like normal. But in before, "iT wOuLd SpLiT tHe PlAyEr BaSe". It's a load of crap. But if no one is willing to change anything about the game. Then the end result won't change. The game just isn't rewarding in anyway. Winning doesn't feel like winning.
End of story.
-
I don't get excited for DBD's events for obvious reasons
They are all in essence the same, a special hook and generator you can do for more BP and/or whatever event points.
Bland and boring, but hey, no one wants new stuff in this community, because if they did do something less bland, everyone would through a hissy fit .
It's kind of a problem
-
That is a new one lol
-
I'm still out here sawing em' down like usual.
Putting down The Nurse and have no plans on buying The Spirit. People don't give Billy enough credit. I find Billy both fun to play and play against. 8/10 times

Long distance chainsaws

Welcome to the joyous land of battlepasses!
Now being hammered into every game I bother playing, won't stay that way for long! Fun times to be had!
-
Time to start playing Spirit... Was a good run Nurse.
Glad they haven't touched Billy...
-
There are small things here and there I dislike about battle passes. I always expect DLC in games, plus the game costing money, that's normal.
But as far as I am concerned about battle passes, I just don't like them. Sure it gives money to the DEVs, and if you don't like them you don't have to buy them.
I didn't like them when they came to Rocket League, not in Paladins, not in Dota 2, not in Rainbow Six, and I do not like them coming in here. If you ask me for reasons, I can't honestly give you any "real" reasons, I just don't like them. Simple.
Maybe it's simply because it's a new trend happening to every game ever. And I hate that kinda crap. Kind of like Battle Royals. Cute and charming in its own here and there, but when everyone is milking it, no, please stop.
-
Take them in strides my friend!
I myself am building a wall of these messages on my steam profile. I view it as an achievement of sorts. Similar to getting banned from China.
They will never learn, I enjoy a good read and laugh from time to time. Laughter is healthy for you after all, so every time they tell me kms, well I think my age range raises :)
-
Try to hide
That part of the game seems pretty absent the past couple years.
-
However, punishing people for actively DCing is one thing.
They won't punish people for killing themselves on hook. It won't get better if they start doing that, I can promise you that much. People would just stop playing altogether.
The issue is, that this game does not have a comp. and casual. It has a casual game, mixed with a competitive system. Which is not a great idea.
Most games separate these 2, and punish those who leave comp. matches, but not casual matches, as there really isn't as much at stake aside from team/points, compared to ranked.
They can't just go around punishing people for not wanting to play. That's why a casual and competitive mode is needed. But I doubt that would happen.
It's a tough situation. But as far as I am concerned. They should continue to punish active DCing and let the killing on hook deal be. Will it be the same problem? Yes, everyone knows this. But again, they really shouldn't go around punishing for killing on the hook.
It would get messy quickly. And the last thing this game needs, is more messes.
