To all the people having this "do gens" lightsaber, and everyone approving this : you don't get it.
People of this forum are "special players", not the majority. A lot of people play without watching streamers or guide and quite don't understand this game.
Telling them to "do gens" bring nothing as a solution for camping. I see you coming. "Camping is legit, BHvr allow that"....
Its not. Not legit. Not a strat. Only a new player move. And survivors as new players aswell dont know how to react, they only want to save their friend. Logical. Aswell for the killer that want to protect his meat and want it to die.
On both sides, camping is not correct. Bhvr is just lazy to bring something about this indirect problem in the game.
Yes this is a problem. Look at your queues and matchmaking. Stranger things wont have a lot of new sustained playerbase.
Tbf, it's a thing new players do for sure, but also red rank killers love doing it too.

Because Tru3ta1ent runs a generic, boring, stall build, wins against crap survivors and now claims Ghostface is top 3. While his sheeple fan base eat it up and parrot the same nonsense. He's also claiming that Wraith is a good killer now.....
I didn't know tru3 said this, and actually despise him, but he is correct in stating that GF is one of the top killers. but running stall builds with GF really isn't necessary.
Also: when did tru3 say this, as I've gone up against almost entirely ghostface players for well over a month now?

No salt, just trying to figure it out. I go against him in more than half my games. From yellow down to red ranks, I see so many effing Ghostfaces. He is more popular now than when he first came out and I'm bored to death. What am I missing about him that makes him so popular?
because he's strong af; high tier, in fact, and fun to play to boot; as well as this, in some cases, if there are issues with latency (it's dedicated servers so almost every game) then there isn't much counterplay to his power either, since survivors can't pull him out of his power the majority of the time. This often gives a free, one hit down.
in red rank PC Oce, he's almost every game. If it's not him, it's spirit or billy normally.

even the new perk any means neccesary has such a long cooldown that it's yellow
MoM was far too strong in its original form. That said, the enrf it got was bad - it should have been purely safe hook stacks, since that also limited the number of potential uses to two, and would have been much harder to pull off in general without being impossible.

Nurse was the only one that really got nerfed, imo Nurse got nerfed too hard
Spirit was fine in the first place and only needed QoL changes to PB and phasing, I would have it to where she still had collision but in the phase she couldn't hear grunts of pain
Let the real mindgames begin
This. the grunts of pain are the issue.

Hey guys, just wondering is someone can lend some insight into an issue I've encountered, more so in terms of curiosity instead of expecting a fix. I've played a couple matches where everyone is playing the game as they should be and all of a sudden the match ends, only to find that both the killer and I have have been disconnected. The other 3 survivors keep their points whereas I've lost all progress and items. The thing that is frustrating is that it's the killer hosting and I don't know why I have dc'd along with them.
This has happened about 3 times in the past 2 days. This isn't a type of disconnect I've seen before.
It's one of the DC bugs that has still not been fixed, but has gotten less common.

No? The survivor can decide if he wants to take the dc penalty or not. At the momenr about 95% of the dcs are cause of small meat.
And now pulling stats from nowhere...lmao

In this case the survivor can still go afk and do something other till the round is over.
Nice, promoting not playing the game while playing the game. That is an incredibly stupid idea and you know it.

It better not mean extra nerf...I hope that they revert the changes to FF/DW, including the removal of M1 effects from FF or give some actual compensation, because with the new (old) speed they'll still struggle since now they can't as reliably slow things down...or build up pressure by gaining stacks of STBFL and getting in some hits without having the stun, for example.

Sometimes the killer needs to slug to be able to keep survivors from doing certain things. The whole new killer is based on slugging. So that's not really a good thing.
Like I said, in context. I gave an example of a time when it really is unnecessary but they do it anyway and the survivors have no choice but to wait. It's not pleasant.
I slug aplenty, so I understand well why one might do so.

Yeah, I just hope it isn't in the form of straight nerfs for any of these perks - make others viable or rework them to spice things up, as many other online games like to do when there are issues with stale balance.

I personally have great enjoyment of a killer rage quitting, especially when it's a toxic killer camping with 5 gens up or similar. And it's not just me since you see on any stream or upload how players burst out laughing when the killer rage quits.
Maybe you haven't played enough since you care a lot about points, but people like me don't really care. We earned so many points and unlocked everything possible, it's just numbers. Side note: killer rage Quittung gives every survivor 5k escape bloodpoints
My favourite is making the ebony mori iri head huntress DC after they tunneled and mori'd someone off the hook. But I do laugh when survivors decide to DC just because I downed them as a killer they don't like (such as freddy, who I admit I do hate playing vs)

Slugging is no reason to dc. And yes it applies to all players.
In context, it really can be. If it's just pressure/snowball, no reason, for example, but a killer plays scummy all game and then decides to slug for the 4k despite knowing where hatch is? Yeah no, I'm out.
Honestly, a good solution to this would be that after a certain threshold in the game, if a survivor is slugged, especially if only one is still standing, they can choose to forfeit without it being a DC and just gain the points they earned; it's not fair to expect people to wait around for that crap when they want to get on with their next game.
-
Trust me, it's boring for killers, too.
Having to run slowdown perks of any kind really limits the types of builds that can be run, in much the same way that BT and DS are often required because of tunneling and camping in some form.
incidentally, neither is fun to go against for either side; it's boring/frustrating.

Hit boxes were fine aside from a few like Hatches back when it was Peer to peer green pings. Dedicated servers threw that out of the loop and I can't even gauge my safe distances anymore, Dead hard is acting faulty and it's frustrating but I'll take dedicated servers over finding 30 minutes matches and dodging lobbies to find a decent killer with green ping. Only for it to be a killer that turns his lag switch in the middle of the match.
The game's balance is good only and I still firmly believe good survivors can bully majority of the killers as long as it's not a God Nurse or a Spirit but that actually requires the survivors to be good themselves and doesn't have the game sense of a mashed potato.
Only thing going downhill is Survivors getting exposed on for how awful they are as players and only lasted this long because they rely on overpowered nonsense.
Rank 1 Killer and Solo queue Survivor.
I'm finding that both sides are toxic AF and I have to work damn hard not to fall into the trap of being like them and adding fuel into the fire. Sorry that you blame survivors only. It doesn't matter whos tarted it, I don't really know nor care, but that does need to stop...the game is becoming painful to play as both sides because of it, alongside other issues.
-
Last few patches survivors are definitely getting a LOT more net nerfs that affect quality of matches. The oblivious status effect on Freddy probably being the worst one that is currently live, however Balanced Landing getting nerfed as a band-aid fix rather than just dealing with map design is a great example, too.
Not that survivors getting nerfed more is necessarily a bad thing, it's just objectively the case that it's happening.

@Centernova said:
Now for once this wont be a #########-post on this account, although i am going to use this one to keep my account that i post on for genuine stuff private , because this is most likely going to be trash talked by certain people who don't want to hear this kind of stuff
HITBOXES (Still not fixed, been broken since 1.6.)
My current thoughts on the game have me honestly losing hope for it, at the current time dedicated servers have broken perks, (note it has brought some good things but here's some of the bad) , made getting hit through windows much much easier on green ping
I.E. here's proof right here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_NFysTLpc19FKaHzOJtKfLHrvpAS5HpT/view , video wont post so here's a google drive , ping to the dedicated server was 60 for me pretty good! although hitboxes didn't seem to like it , my friends ping (person who recorded this) was 65-70, and i got hit through god pallet while the killer was on the other side but i don't use nvidia so it wasnt clipped.
Killers (Characters, Not players)
Since spirit is getting nerfed pretty soon i'm not going to use her as my main point but nurse has been broken for years now, and she just got nerfed a couple updates ago, and spirit (i know i said i wasn't going to use her as my main point but this needs to be addressed) has been a low skill cap killer , yes i notice tracking comes into big play while playing her but considering most survivors are RUNNING in a chase theres scratch marks and considering it the survivor isn't using Iron will you can be heards so scratch mark juking isn't really a option since she can bump into you and hear you, and in the future update she is going to not be able to bump into you which is nice :)
Killers (Players)
Now i'm not trying to discriminate as one side because i play both sides majorly survivor but i do enjoy playing killer, Killer is a power role which i do understand and survivor shouldn't hold the balance in the game although survivor is nerfed almost every update as killer gets buffed, Many perks have been nerfed, gutted, from what they used to be, This game is one of a kind and i wouldnt like to see it go away but almost anything enough killers complain about is nerfed, I.E. Meta perks isn't something that should be complained about these days You can barely survive with them, ######### survivor is literally someone living off of scrap from the scrap yard, rarely you get great things, sometimes you get ok things and most of the time you get nothing
SURVIVOR (Players, And feelings about the side)
Playing survivor at the moment most definitely is not enjoyable, and you can ask any survivor out there who is half decent that the game is going downhill atm for survivor, its really hard to enjoy a game with a semi decent killer , and with killer queues being so long you cant really find anyone trying to have fun, and its usually just the same build, Why use a fun build when you have a hour long wait time to most likely get bullied by survivors just because you want to have fun, survivor is honestly just annoying to play at the moment and i'm not surprised why killer has such long queues
General Thoughts About The Game ( My Thoughts )
The game is very very unfun to play as survivor at the moment, currently hitboxes seem to be worse then they used to be which is honestly kinda disturbing that you can break hitboxes this badly, killer holds all the power now, survivor have barely any chance to have fun,
Queue time
Killer queue times take about 30-45 minutes , as survivor takes about 10, still pretty long just to get a 15 minute game, which makes it undesirable to use fun perk builds on killer, maybe sometimes on survivor but why use a fun build when you're most likely going to get bullied while using it then have to wait 30 or even 40 minutes to use it again?
Conclusion/End
To end off this post, Dbd is going downhill atm for survivors, killers hold TOO much power nowadays, and survivor seems to get the ######### end of the stick, its very hard to even enjoy playing one game like it used to be. anyways that's it to this post, Thanks for reading it even though it will probably get drowned out by everyone who doesn't want to hear this :/
Honestly neither role feels enjoyable to play right now. Hitboxes are a big issue as is player behaviour (on both sides)
Matchmaking is horrific; when I play survivor at red rank I often get a similarly ranked killer with green and white rank teammates while I'm solo. And the ability to dodge this is going away. In reverse, I find when I play killer, the ranks always seem to be much higher than mine at any given time and this leads to a pretty toxic environment when they realise I'm not as experienced at killer as they are at survivor.
As well as this, dedicated servers literally broke the game more than it already was; dead hard is a great example of this 9(although we are yet again being told its being worked on, as has been said many times throguhout my time playing this game) It either is pressed and a full second later isn't used, or is used, you become exhausted, but don't actually perform the action and are downed for it despite timing it perfectly to gain distance and make the killer miss, while reaching for the pallet's safety.
In converse, there's a bug that I've reported multiple times that makes playing killer feel horrific; I will spam M1 or M2 and the game just won't register I want to lunge or use my power, and it gives survivors enough space to escape to a pallet, stunning me and elongating a chase, even if only by a few more seconds. this needs to be dealt with and yet the devs are silent on this.
Another bug, related to long lobby times for survivors; the grouping system, is broken beyond comprehension; it can take an hour just to find a game because after waiting for 10 minutes to get a lobby only one of you will be put into it while the other(s) will be kicked back to the menu screen with the message 'an unknown error occurred.' this happens so often that sometimes I'll not even get a game in before I give up. Meanwhile I could play killer for instant queues, but for reasons state above, I don't really feel like it; it's not fun, I don't gain anything from it - not even as a learning experience.
-
The blood is not exactly like stalking...you don't need to keep the survivor in sight to collect it; they can't stop you collecting them unless they heal and you'll still passively get it.
It makes sense it's on such a bar really, with how snowball-y this killer is; he comes across as a better billy, at this point (yes I agree there is similarity here; we all see it but that's not necessarily a bad thing) but that doesn't mean this sets a precedent for all future killers. Ghostface had to fit lore, for example. And being a stalker made sense; we already had one stalker who wasn't a pure stealth killer and the design of GF actually fits stealth in general, so it fit well for that playstyle in-game.
Hag's teleportation is completely irrelevant to all other killers in the game right now, and demogorgon's teleportation is moreso a reverse of Freddy's; where one gains power over the course of the game, the other loses power over it. but remember, both of these were again limited to being lore friendly.

technically (it is an issue with the spirit since she still has that BS)_but the survivor is still quieter than base.

You are the one who does not understand. I know how the game processes this already, but I'm saying that it is illogical.
Iron will (at level 3) ENTIRELY removes the injured sounds from a survivor (according to the perk description on Iron Will. The percentages being additive don't make any sense in either context.
it is not illogical to apply the percentages to the base value; in fact, it is consistent. It is an incredibly simple concept.
-
@FlamingkittyUmad said:

This entirely ignores the point about "hearing something that makes no sound"
Except it does make sound; it makes 50% of the sound it normally would. It's not hard to understand.
It applies both percentages at the same time; therefore it has to be additive; neither perk is prioritised over the other, as that would be unfair/unbalanced and render the other pointless in a matchup.

Easier fast vault. Atm you cant fast vault 90% of the time anyway even if you should because you stuck to the game's rules on how you get it, but dedicated servers mess with it. So a perk changing that would be insane. (Although I'd prefer they just deal with it rather than doing this, like how BT and DS are now things in the game to avoid certain issues but can be incredibly oppressive to killers even when they do everything they can to avoid it)

Lerys is so survivor sided it hurts, the game is survivor sided, hawkins is almost balanced with a slight survivor advantage. And lets see...DS, BT, Dead hard to start. plenty of other viable perks; if not op. Toolboxes are still really good with how fast gens go without them already. Medkits are still good, and stypic is still powerful.
Hawkins is very killer sided...

I think the nerfs to killers are getting out of hand, and seems way more consistent and constant then any buffs. While there has been a rework to freddy, and some changes to survivor items and mechanics; the fact of the matter is there are still a ton of weak killers that need some love. When are we going to get this?
They're going through them one at a time. Doctor should have been next (for a buff) but I think they saw the spirit as really troublesome or thought it fitting to change her with the new chapter. And to boot, she's not really going to be any weaker outside of prayer beads, so I don't see this as much of an issue
-
She's miles stronger than legion still; she still gets to ignore loops. One blink nurse may sound like a gimmick, but for one, it takes survivors by surprise, and two, she can use the blink once she's gotten to a good range for it; she still gets to skip a large portion of the chase with her power.

You can also grab people out of windows or lockers. Most survivors when unhooked run to a locker for DS tech so that’s an easy grab.
Doesn't change the fact that if you know you're going for a grab, you should just pick spirit; that other ways of grabbing don't matter when the main/most common use of Spirit's phase walking right now is to deny survivors the ability to even get a chase by grabs, so naturally most people will go for that.

They're adjusting Prayer Beads so you know 'when' she's phasing, just not 'where', which is significantly better than not knowing at all.
Her tracking capabilities are fine. The indirect issue with her tracking was caused by the collision, but that's being removed.
I know, i addressed the prayer beads in my previous comment. Perhaps wasn't obvious what i meant, sorry.
Her ability to hear survivors without them having information on when she's phasing or where she could be (since sounds are broken and the one time we got to be able to hear her footsteps in any capacity, it went away with a hotfix like a week later) is the issue. I can know a spirit is phasing, but it doesn't matter because of how fast her power activates and how fast she moves inside it. unless I'm running a build jsut to counter her, that is not going to change...and that build is counterable by her perk build too, rendering it futile to bother.
Some issues are addressed, but not the most important one. Scott Jund actually made a video on this explaining my issue much more eloquently.
-
It's annoying the others aren't available, but people will be entitled and annoyed these ones are available to all anyway.
I actually wasn't aware of these ones or the dodgy deals related to them.

This is what happens when everyone blows through the first level in a weekend and then complained that they had nothing to do. Now they made level 2 so you actually have to work for it and people complain about that. Is this community ever happy about anything???
I didn't make that complaint tbh, and I don't know of anyone who did.
The 'work' it requires is grind...in a game where all you have to do is grind, endlessly. It's not clever to then make multiple challenges that must be required in one game that are not down to skill, but entirely RNG...and have them block off further progress. No, it's terrible form.
And on top this, the challenge progress is a buggy mess.
For the first tome, I had to complete most of the challenges 2 or 3 times before they worked survivor side, and second tome I'm having this issue for both roles. And when some challenges conflict, ie survivors want to be chased and unhooked so they can then unhook that person, so they run object and related perks to try and tilt the killer/draw aggro when at the same time they're up against a trapper trying to get the 4 traps in one game.
(from experience, although I did get those traps I had to work for it as they all knew where they were most of the time; I had to be sneaky...and then the challenge didn't proc, so I had to do it again)
Then the challenge that requires you perform a grab interrupt...may as well say 'as the spirit grab a survivor when coming out of phase walk' and we all know people DC for that killer, right or wrong. Yes, I know she's not the only one that can, but she's the only one that's good at it outside of a face camping Doctor and that's just a big fat nope from me.
-
...by nerfing OPness, one patch after getting rid of something OP that survivors had. K.

Wouldn't really call them nerfs, more like, removing the "training wheels".

Now if its a ahole killer then by all mean should be punish, they already wont pip and they will miss out on alot more bp.

While Kindred being a base mechanic would be cool, camping itself prevents one player from playing the game, and it happens in low ranks quite frequently, which people tend to ignore. That however is a big factor in people continuing to play from my experience.
It happens almost every game in red rank, and in low ranks too, which is one reason why a lot of survivors intentionally derank to stay in the mid-ranks, also meaning they end up bullying killers in order to avoid the stress of red ranks.
