But nurses out of blink sensitivity is slower than the max sensitivity.

Maybe it's different for controller, but for PC nurse sensitivity is just regular M1 killer sensitivity

  • Nice argument.

Removing synergy from perks for a killer while only giving a slight buff (that also comes with a nerf) to the base power is a nerf. I'm a legion main; i know ######### I'm talking about.

All i know is i can turn faster as nurse while lunging out of blink. And im on console lol so thats horrible. Not to mention the club taking up 3/4s my screen if i want to charge my hit

Nurse sensitivity out of blink is no different to any other killer's regular lunge in fairness. And that's how it should be for Oni if they're to be limited to 90 degrees, (which may well be fair) imo.

  • @yandere777 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/924590#Comment_924590

If they can at least make the turn rate while in the 90 flick as fast as my sensitivity it'll be bearable at least

Exactly. That's what the dev post said it would be; idk why that isn't the case, yet.

  • @PistolTimb said:

What rank are you? Legion is an awful killer but there is some potential synergy there, if you can proc the mangled. Blood Echo is decent on plague but for most killers it's not too helpful (except maybe nurse, since Dead Hard is so strong against her).

Spirit's lunge was nerfed tremendously btw. It's supposedly been overnerfed due to a bug, but it's still a major nerf either way. Not that I think it destroys her. With recovery addons and stridor it isn't even a problem.

In red ranks I've made blood echo thana dying light pop work, but man is it easy to get bullied.

I can see it being really strong on plague though.

  • The only nerf she needs is that her traps shouldn't change the direction the survivor that trips it is facing; it's cheap af.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

It depends as they stated the flick was never intended but was that in reference to flick with the distance as it was or the actual flick itself?

If it was truly never intended did they state that as it was a nice accidental feature so they then decided to leave it in and adjust its angle?

It can be taken a few ways but most will only see it the way that fits how they feel.

They meant the stacking to get a 180 flick I think...hope...because the 180 was awful to play vs.

That said, if they do actually do what they said they would, in making it easier to look around/flick within the allowd 90 degree (I wonder if 120 would be better tbh) at the end of demon dash, I do think the Oni would be back to S tier in an insant.

I play both sides on and off but with generators popping so fast I rarely enjoyed a Killer session. After coming back and investing in Ruin it feels like I'm on even ground with Survivors.

Already scored big last night and I don't see it ever coming off my slots. Imma bout to dunk on these Survivors and get some payback for all those ######### matches in the past. Holy #########, I've been enlightened.

Do you always run ruin or do you sometimes go back and try to play without? If you're new to the game, definitely get this perk.

Unless I'm playing clown or legion (I don't even tend to run it on legion) I'll probably not run it until red rank (which i suppose is a permanent thing now with the new reset system)

At red rank though, I'm beginning to feel the need for it or CI just to buy some time. I'd advise trying out Corrupt intervention as well, since it's more consistent and basically does the same job as Ruin in buying you time to get some pressure.

  • Obviously you haven't seen the shack window into a window that leads to a strong loop on sanctum of wrath. theoretical infinite.

I literally grinded for every single one of stalker's weapons yeah compared to that dead by daylight grind is not really an issue.

Same thing goes with certain armour or weapon farming on Dark Souls but that's way more forgiving

Trust me, I've been tempted to stop playing this game because of the grind too, and I know plenty of others who have felt this way too. That they finally listened and implemented the change to perks in the bloodweb was a saving grace for me.

I'm just so glad it's not Warframe levels of painful lmao

I also play lots of Warframe so a large amount of grind is honestly not a foreign concept to me

The grind is literally what turned me off that game. It was unbearable.

I have everything done. Some of tome REALLY feels like your giving the match away tho. It not very fun playing like this. A lot of my killer match I have to dog it to get to egc. Same with survivors.

I think the worst part is that while you hav to give the mtch away for some of them, you also risk not getting the progress you earned. Happened to me for multiple challenges...the damn spine chill one that requires me to play like an immersed POS that lets my teammates die, for example, I did 3 times and it still won't register I completed it. Same goes for grabs, and I had the same issue for every 'trap X survivors in one game' challenge so far.

  • tier 59 despite the fact i struggle to even get a game the past 3 weeks lmao

  • I don't think it's possible to decrease a killer wait time of 0-20 seconds, even at red ranks...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/922185#Comment_922185

Yeah and? Will you run into constant four man swf squads literally every single match you go into all day? Not likely. Anway, at first glance who's going to be able to tell right away?

    "Hey, is that you?"

    "No."

Thwack. They already got hit or they could run off the gen thinking it's you when it's really their friend. Hell, sometimes it could disrupt a team by causing extreme trust issues. Plus perks could help this killer out entirely.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude. I understand why it can't happen because of swf. I still hate how one feature can change so much and prevent different things from happening.

Almost all my games in this region are at least 2 man squads, normally 3-4. So yes, some of us would.

A: stop being toxic and chill. No need too be rude.

B: If this game wasn't competitive why is everything ranked based, with rank reset? If the game was only casual then the game wouldn't have a ranks. You can play how ever you want, but the game is competitive.

It's rank based because otherwise we'd end up with brand new players going up against players with 1000's of hours every game.

This has pretty much been the survivor ranks I've had to face since rank 12. I'm not wrong in saying matchmaking has been complete trash since the recent update, right? Only reason I won this match was because the survivors seemed to think unhooking other survivors directly in front of me entitled them to a free escape and that I would take the clicking flashlight bait.

My experience as killer for multiple patches, even while I was rank 12 was 4 red ranks...and when it was anything else, even if only one purple, I've been able to see the difference instantly, every time.

As survivor I still get similarly ranked killers to my survivor and killer rank (red) but the survivors are always random ranks..

Earlier on my friend who is red rank survivor went solo queue and got a rank 18 killer with similarly low ranked survivors. It's nonsense.

  • This is the perfect change tbh; it felt inconsistent up until now so free movement within the maximum will be great. I'm glad the stacking was removed; a lot of players abused that and it was pretty gross. I didn't use it and didn't struggle with it in red rank, yet am not exactly a great killer so most people that used it shouldn't suffer from the loss of that bug anyway.

  • @WhoDatNinja said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/908621#Comment_908621

Glad to see other players do it too. I play both im rank 2 in survivor and rank 4 in killer and if i can get 2 to 3 kills as killer on average with no perks or add ons then i think we have more baby killers than anything in high ranks. I honestly think survivors need more buffs considering how easy killer is and have always been.

This honestly just reads as bait, and I tend to defend the side you're fighting for lmao

There are definitely some bad killers in red ranks, mostly because (insidious/face) camping doesn't affect emblems nearly as much as it should.

But if you look at the other role...there are literally so many immersed players who cause their teammates' deaths who pip off finding the hatch and doing barely any gen work that get into red rank. Granted, those players won't get past rank 4, but they're still red.

  • Pretty sure the longer queue time has more to do with lobby bugs tbh.

Given my queue times comes from playing with someone and constantly getting the 'unknown error occurred' bug almost every time we get a lobby. Which has been happening ever since dedicated servers came out...and I tested that it's worse for the Australian server than it is for the European server, which is really quite odd.

I took a break from DBD when Shattered Bloodlines came out. I came back after Demise of the Faithful was released, and in all my time playing I have never seen the snow plow. I saw it in one of Noob3's videos, and it looked like a really strong loop, so maybe that's why they got rid of it? From what I saw, it supported Balanced Landing and had geometry on the tracks of it that survivors could easily run up but killers couldn't, giving survivors an unfair advantage at this particular loop.

Do you remember which video it may have been? Interested to see as I will have seen this video but just don't remember the tile at all.

  • I don't think there ever was a snow plow, to memory.

I agree with others with regards to it being a bad map, those tiles are horrid for any killer and it's just a smidge too bright, much as I love the artistic design aspect of it.

  • Interestingly, in this situation, by using his DS he actually gave you freedom to kill him - he gave up two health states just to allow you to grab him. Not a trade that is in any way worth it.

  • @freshmeals said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/111720/bing-bong-your-second-chance-is-gone

Lol DS has no counter play and is available throughout the entire match noed has a very easy counter is literally only active for what I'd guess is about 5% of the total match time. Do you not see the irony in your statement.

DS is not active through the whole match, what are you talking about?

Idc what your stance is, on a topic I'm not taking sides on tbh, but at least tell the truth.

  • Yes, standing there looking at a hook instead of playing the game while also removing the ability of one other person to play the game and turning it into an M1 simulator for the remaining 3 is 'fun.' Nice bait.

  • @TheCrookedMan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/903593#Comment_903593

That's not how averages work. 3K don't happen on average until it reaches 75%

70 is closer to 75 than 50. Modal result in this instance is most definitely 3k.

  • Yeah in Oce the other week after not having played killer in 2 months aside from dailies, I found every game I was getting rank 2-3 SWF groups vs me at rank 12. It's consistently an issue, since it's not like I was in queue for a long time, either; killer queues are instant for me.

Getting those ranks now makes sense, tbf, but it didn't then and I know plenty of green rank killers getting the same thing.

Weirdly as a red rank survivor I rarely see a killer below rank 5, but when I do...oh boy do I feel bad that I didn't realise, because it always means wrecking them hard.

  • @Vetrathene said:

    Wow they Banned @UlvenDagoth :( #bufflegion #ftopayrespects

    @Spooky13 said:

Legion feels a lot better to play now. The thing is, Legion was nerfed at first due to exploits like moonwalking and Frank's + Stab Wound's Study. Now that these are gone and Legion has their old movement speed back, can we please keep the speed and make Feral Frenzy activate Sloppy and STBFL?

That would be the dream. Don't count on it though because 'muh consistency' which is most certainly a thing which plagues this game and risks destroying it.

  • Actual idea that doesn't change power (I'd like to reverse the most recent nerf with regard to on-hit perks, but ignoring that, I mean) would be to have his Killer Instinct add-ons changed to something that might actually get used...since Oni, who is already way faster, in his incredibly lethal/uncounterable (at high skill level) power, gets 2 add-ons for speed when using his power, Legion should get these too, in exchange for the aforementioned Killer Instinct add-ons.

Fact is that big maps make Legion obsolete, since they can't get across the map to get that elusive second FF hit if the players are actually playing to counter Legion, which at red ranks they'll usually have the common sense to do in my experience. So let them use their non-lethal power to zoom across the map - it breaks nothing.

Also ultra rare add-on ideas would include: not removing scratchmarks, or blood (as separate add-ons) in FF. I don't get why they have to limit tracking in this way pre-hit. Wouldn't it be cool to use an add-on spot just so you could change style and use the power for a bit more movement while not missing out on vital information shown to you on the map?

  • @anarchy753 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/896831#Comment_896831

Seriously, what do you think the fix is then? Pallets should slowly move towards survivors in case you ever get caught out of position and can't make it through one in time?

You weren't close enough or didn't react fast enough to get the drop without taking a hit. Move on and play safer next time.

It's way too obvious that you only play one side. The number of BS hits I've gotten on survivors is astounding.

The fix is pretty obvious: stop forcing dedicated servers on us when they're blatantly not ready and only getting worse.

  • @anarchy753 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/896791#Comment_896791

You mean when the killer is in range to hit them? Nooo, how could hits happen then? In fact, most of these hits happen because survivors think they can juuuust squeeze a 7th loop out of this particular pallet and it turns out it was more like 6.95 loops of distance. Make a mistake and you can get punished for it.

    Helpful troll.

Yes, running to a pallet for the first loop,. realising you can't make it, and so putting it right down, but they get the hit despite not even being near the pallet or having an animation for a swing. Yes, totally the survivor's fault.

People with an axe to grind like you totally disgust me..

  • @anarchy753 said:

Maybe drop the pallet sooner? Going for a stun is where they become risky, you want your 1000 stun points then you're risking the animation pulling you into the hitbox of the swing. You can always put the pallet between you and the killer, stunning is where it gets risky, as it should be.

easy to say when most hits are through pallets that survivors have JUST ran through and they pressed space instantly.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

If he really is an uncounterble mess then the inevitable nerf is coming.

Yes, most definitely. But not until the mid chapter in 6 weeks. For now, red ranks will be dominated/more homogeneous than before as a result.

  • I prefer to use more fun/memey builds but vs red rank players you can't really do that, as either role, I find. It does remove a lot of the fun, though.

  • Exactly. It was broken af, with no counter but to be immersed, but at least one could play the game.

Events are one thing, and I only saw like 4 people annoyed. And Halloween themed events probably should be around Halloween.

This is not a thematic event that changes gameplay very little.

This is a bug that honestly since me playing from month 1 of the games launch, is probably the worst set of bugs ever to the point where survivor is basically unplayable because one bug triggers into the next one if the killer wants to be an asshat.

"Oh, you can't wiggle? Time to put you in the basement so that you can't play anymore."

This isn't Wake up and SP bad

    This isn't multiple killers glitch.

    This isn't infinite mend glitch.

All of those while sucked, you could still play the game.

You as of right now, as a survivor literally don't get to play the game if the Killer decides he wants an easy win.

Edit: Also, to further exasperate the situation, lets say you get put into that situation. Well not long from now, you won't be able to DC or YOU will be punished.

So you have to sit there and wait for the killer to kill you or YOU get punished for having the audacity to want to play a game.

Tbf you couldn't play with infinite mend glitch and as far as I'm concerned, after they made the message in-game warning people, they should have banned those that used it, since at that point, there was no excuse (although really they should have just disabled the add-ons) but I do agree.

    You also forgot:

this isn't the redhead's pinky finger glitch

  • @ScottJund said:

I am very glad no one is realizing how strong he is.

With all respect, neither your opinion nor mine matters when it comes to whether something is a valid report. What matters is the opinion of the community team. It's up to you if you want to keep doing it or not, I'm just letting you know that reporting people for things that aren't actually bannable is a waste of your time and the community team's, and could potentially have consequences for you in the future.

By their own description in the report section, IT. IS. VALID.

  • @Fibijean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/893004#Comment_893004

False reports literally do nothing except make it harder for the devs to punish people who actually do the wrong thing. It doesn't affect the reported players in the slightest.

You can also get banned for abusing the report system by consistently filing false reports, so it's probably something you should care about if you want to keep playing the game.

Sorry but bug abuse goes under reportable actions as an exploit. :)

Yeah, this basement glitch has ruined a couple of games for me. But with every patch comes issues. Some that even the developers don't catch. That's just coding, sis.

They knew about it; it wasn't just missed. It was literally happening on the PTB and reported regularly. Unless the devs are now admitting they just don't listen to us at all.

  • @beatddb said:

Weren't his "shadow nerfs" a shorter power lunge and things like that?

His lunge in power is just as big as PTB

  • He's disgustingly powerful. Quit looking foi a reason to whine ffs.

  • It's a mistake that made it in; it's most certainly a change from the dev build that is likely subject to change up until he gets his changes.

That is, only the description has changed - the doctor change itself has not snuck itself in.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886289#Comment_886289

I know killers can "give up" by opening the exit gates and starting the endgame collapse. Are you suggesting something similar to that?

In a sense, yeah, like faster bleedout could be an option, since survivors can already kill themselves. 4 minute of slugging when the game is already lost isn't fun. Things not being overly fun and yet being heavily prevalent are a big issue for this game, for both sides, right now.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886200#Comment_886200

Because your thread was JUST about slugging, which can often times be the best move to make. This thread however shows a situation where the game is already over... EVERYONE is down, not just you.

This. I'm all for legit slugging as a tactic; but slugging like this for the hell of it, or the game is clearly over, the survivor should be able to give up without incurring a DC penalty/losing the points they gained in the game.

I do think something similar should be in place for killer too, although there is always potential to turn that around.
