They weren't solid. It said (over) 80% in red ranks.

That’s not really a counter argument either, “Guys, by one of those trees there is a totem” but which tree? Not everyone gives precise information and you can’t always be exact on information and since we are people, we make more mistakes than these perks.
So at the end of the day these perks end up being worth more than a dollar.
I'm sorry to interrupt but that made no sense. Any communication is normally enough for anyone to find totems ect...easily. I do agree you should be able to swf. I'd like to think most would be ok with it if it wasn't for cross map talk. If it was distance based to me that would be fair enough. However as is and in rank no I'm sorry. That's just scummy.

Peanits is not a bad killer or survivor. He's by far the best dev player I've seen on the game.
Careful you got a bit of dirt on your nose.lol
-
I've seen a lot on both sides and middle angry about ruin. If they would have addressed the map issues first I dont think anyone would have cared as much.

plus for all we know those 20% of games without Ruin could easily be Nurse / Spirit / Billy / Iri Head huntress / whatever killer with crutch add-ons / ...4 survivors escaping :P
Thank you. That's my point.

That is 20% who dont need it so thats 1 in 5 killers, so why is it always needed? dont you think it seems strange that 1 in 5 killers dont?
My dude I didn't say it's "always " needed. High and high med definitely not. However if your playing a low or slow killer on couple maps that are very large its almost a must. If they would address those maps first. There probably wouldn't have been sooo much hate. Also from what I've seen with new ruin to make it some what affective you need surveillance. If you are not on a average size map.imo. Saying 20% dont. Really it is not really a valid point because the 20% isn't saying who there using, what the load out is ect..that is just saying 20% of all matches in red its not used. The 1 in 5 doesn't mean they don't on every killer that's ridiculous. I'm sure there are people that dont on any that's cool. As far as my comment 80% of all matches not killers in red. I was just poking the bear a bit. Take a breath an chill...its a game.

That depends on the player. Many good players don't ever use ruin.
If they don't rely on it and stay at red ranks what does that say about those that do?
You mean the 80% in red rank?lol

Yes, quite frequently. I even stream myself playing it.
So your either low rank or can't use logic...nice.

They might welcome it because it makes their job easier. What they wont like is the killer riot of camping slugging moris and noed as well as 15 minute long que times. Here comes ww3.
Ha I'm have 15min Qs now.lol

Hi!
Just wanted to address one common concern I've seen from the community. "They nerfed Ruin so it wouldn't be hard for new Survivors."
That's not quite what the intention was. This is subtle, but bear with me.
New Ruin is in fact really brutal for new Survivors... because it is insidious. They have no idea what's happening, and they struggle to get gens done at all. That little zap effect when you take your hands off a gen? Barely noticable to a new player who's panicing because of the L3 Terror Radius they are hearing. It's not even noticable that the gen is regressing twice as fast as if the Killer had damaged it.
What we wanted to do was not "make it easy for new players" but "make it less frustrating for new players". In playtests with newer Survivor players, it was 4k with 4 or 5 gens up almost every time. But they didn't hate their time in the game as much because those red skill checks weren't in their faces.
I'm looking forward to playing on the PTB with some of you tomorrow; see you in the Fog!
Thank you. You just proved EVERYONE'S point. You took a perk that's used 80% in red ranks an gutted the dam thing. Without fixing WHY it's used so much. To make new players happy. Instead of them having to try and get better. There's some good logic.
-
They are going to change it no matter if both sides have a negative comment about it. That's their level of ego. What I've seen in the past few years is they believe that we need them. They seem to not get we dont. There's tons of games out there...they will just keep pissing us all off ( both sides)till the game dies.
-
@Almo said:
We expected outrage when doing a fundamental change to a perk used in such a large percentage of games. However, after playing with the new version, we're much happier with how it functions in the game as part of the whole system.
Well as long as your happy. Never mind the people that keep spending their money on this product an what they want. Tho it wouldn't have been a problem if you would have spent some of that money on fixing the reason it's used so much in the first place, but that would have been to logical.
-
@Bear_g said:
It's true that this is just a video game. Yet it's more than that. It's a hobby to spend time on and a PRODUCT that has been purchased. If you went anywhere else and bought something that turned out to be defective you'd be furious. You'd want your money back or a replacement product. I understand that being toxic is frustrating for the devs who are trying to produce a good product for us to consume. Yet it's better to have comments to work with than to have a silent audience who simply...take their business elsewhere. And believe me, that is the next step. So I say bring on the salt so that the devs are at least aware of the impending doom of their game rather than just watching people walk away in silence.
Well said.
-
I suppose it would depend on what killer I'm using but yes. However I like playing both sides.
-
Love long matches
Hate those 5mins or less matches
Unfortunately it looks like I'll be seeing a LOT more. That is if I keep playing when these surv. Qs become 1hr waits.
-
@snowflake102 said:
for any thats leaving this game try this out this game needs more players:D
They're having a lot of issues. Also there devs are just as bad if not worse than our current ones.
-
Yes can't wait for the ...long Qs cause no one want to deal with playing killer, tunneling, camping ect. That a lot of killers have gotten away from to come back...fun fun fun
-
@Almo said:
We do play it. To varying degrees on the team, but me personally... I play a lot. The new Ruin is designed to be something that ramps up in power over time. If that totem isn't cleansed by the time there are 3 gens left, the Survivors will be in huge trouble. That's how Hex Perks work.
How many times do I see a Killer get moris off Devour Hope? Not often. But when it happens... oh boy there's some panic lookin' for that totem. :)
In other words to use it you have to camp the totem as well as the three closest gens. Instead of having a good an fun match.lol what a joke.( golf clap)
-
I think you got a bit of brown on your nose there.
-
@Peanits said:
I would definitely say give it a try first. Having played around with it, it can be pretty nasty once you get some pressure. Combine it with Surveillance and you also get some outrageous tracking (since generators automatically regress). You'll always know which generators are being worked on.
No disrespect but please dont try an sell this line. We wanted it tweaked NOT gutted. Not to mention the totem gets destroyed in 10sec. Just ANOTHER example of things being taken to far and over thought.
-
Why there pretty ez.

lol bait them to your teammates..or find a swf.
Idk what you play on. But i'd be down to help you. If you play on PC otherwise..Idk what to say lol
I really do appreciate that sadly I haven't switched over to the dark side yet soon tho.lol
-
@Peanits said:
I'm assuming you mean the challenge where you need to use Dark Sense and power four generators? If so, you only need to be on the generator when it finished, not for the whole time. I'd suggest slapping on Bond. Always try to work on a generator that someone else is doing, that way you're less likely to miss out. It might take a few tries, but it's definitely doable.
I give that a shot ty

no its not lol.
what do you normally do in a game besides gens?
Lol I'm normally getting chased most of the match. I'm lucky to get 2 gens.
-
@ChiTenshi said:
If you're talking about the challenge, you don't need to 100% fix 4 gens. You simply need to be fixing a gen when it's getting about to get completed and that counts.
That's all well an fine but normally 2-3 gens pop about the same time. Just sounds like its going to be luck based instead of good work
-
Do 4 gens in 1 trial. In red rank that's going to be nuts.
-
I really dont see it as a buff. Just a change making him less annoying to face. Still it will be a nice change.
-
Done looking forward to the results.
-
I play both so a couple thing the secondary should have been totems not hooks, but you were going for the meme so that's fine. The others should have been doing both tho. Can't die from noed if there no place to spawn it.
-
Some killers its REALLY ruff with out it but pending what build you're running it's not really needed. Having said just got my adept for oni an demo. For me these 2 diff need ruin.

I didn't know that. Thanks a lot, really. I was struggling on this one!
Np hope it works for you. It should did for my kid too so.
-
I'm done with 3. Waiting on 4. Hopefully it isn't to crazy. Also the flashlight save you still get it if you dont save. As long as you blind while the killer is carrying. That how I got mine.
-
If the coms were based on distance I would be fine with swf. With cross map talk it feels like cheating to me, but that's just my 2 cents.
-
Lol yep it pretty bad just went against a rank 17 killer fun fun fun...not

Oh it's just this kind of thread. Probably no point in responding then.
No no need I was just curious that's all. A few chapters ago. I'd hardly ever see people bring stuff in red tanks. Now I seem to be the only one not doing it. That's all.

No one cares if you think survivor is easy or not, regardless they are useful.
No need to be all like that it was just a question.
-
@badster said:
Because they’re useful? What is this post lmao.
Lol useful? See I dont get survivor is pretty ez already.

No but it does feel that way on some, however if your insta hook for the saves things like that I'd say yes.

Fun for survivors? Yes
Fun for killer? No
Fortunately, I always pay with shards so I don't mind the nerf, but I feel bad for people who paid with their hard earned money.
I dont even like going against him hes so easy to 360.lol
-
@Xerge said:
I also think he is fun, but his dash attack seems almost useless, I only use it to catch up with survivors and sometimes I'm lucky enough to catch them off guard with it. However his lunge attack is strong, unless you are running around a TL.
I have more fun with him than with Billy, but maybe that's because I haven't mastered Billy yet since I rarely play. Oni seems easier to control, at least for me.
It is true oni is easier to control the dash, but with add on you can that nice turn with Billy.
-
@Helevetin_nopee said:
I think hes fun, its just insanely easy to 360/get 360d with his power on console due to the framerate.
That kind of my point. If I'm playing or facing him hes ez to beat if there's good survivors. I think if the second button was gone and he swung on release of dash it'd be better but that's imo.
-
Meg,nea,ash...
Meg - war paint
Nea - on reason
Ash - Da its ash lol
-
Please no...hell no...after seeing what going on on pc not looking forward to that.
-
I have everything done. Some of tome REALLY feels like your giving the match away tho. It not very fun playing like this. A lot of my killer match I have to dog it to get to egc. Same with survivors.
-
@EthanW said:
Hes fun for me, plus I actually feel like I can apply the best pressure with him than any other killers
I'm glad he is for you. I think if his mechanics were thought out a bit better he would be fun,but hes still a weak billy.

which is rarely the case because ruin is brought every round (even though i’m not affected by it because it always hit my greats)
That's the point. Red rank we normally hit the greats.1 In a chase 3 on gen. Boom 3 done 2 to go so that's what 5-6 min.? You think those fast matches because of a mori isn't fun for survivors. Well those 5-6 min. Done gens aren't fun for killer.
-
The game can fast by survivors hands too. Especially with no ruin.
-
What the point there getting matched with EVERY rank. I just had a 20, 4 , 5, 17. Yes I asked if it was swf to them and no they were not. Needless to say no one was happy.
