Why DO people act toxic anyway? Was playing Survivor, lost to a GhostFace. It was a fair game. I was outplayed and I accepted that. Can't win 'em all. So I sent him a "GG, well played." I expected either nothing in response, or just a "GG." Instead I got an "ez scrub." It didn't anger me, but just made me roll my eyes and left me wondering...Why? What's the point of that? Ya don't know me, I go outta my way to avoid playing in a toxic manner, I complimented your skill. Why are ya trying to piss off a complete stranger who was only being friendly? What's the point in that? Why do people feel the need to be rude like that?
Just pathetic people IMO, i have turned messages off because of it which is a shame. i even play the most fair game of never hooking the same person twice in a row but id still get messages like that so i play more survivor, still bugs me even just seeing it because i never understand why you would wanna ruin and basically bully someone whether theyre less skilled or having a bad game its beyond me

Dev's get on this brilliant idea, let Myer's crouch!
You can see myers crouch, is honestly freaky and funny at the same time. you can bug KYF and have multiple killers, get pig and myers as the killers and it gives myers the ability to crouch haha

?
Are you talking about getting your attention?
No i mean say a survivor with a flashlight gets downed by a killer and then gets picked up by the killer if i then save the person by getting a flashlight blind the person i saved will t-bag and click it at the killer... like its bad enough to get a hook/kill taken away without the other survivor rubbing it in
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Both sides can be toxic. I agree people should just try to have fun and not bully others.
Oh i agree, but i do feel its more survivor sided sadly, like if i flashlight save someone they will t-bag and click their flashlight (which they cant use) when there isnt a need, like if i knew they`d act that way i really wouldnt bother

But I like shaking my booty to killers 🙁
although its fun and a laugh playing a survivor its frustrating as killer, i know its in alot of games but survivor is quite easy to play and iv noticed alot of people bullying the lower ranked killers because of the lack of them. i guess i just feel sorry for them and i really dont want the best slasher game out there to die because of it
-
2 years ago i was 90% killer 10% survivor but now its 95% survivor 5% killer unless im doing the new rift challenges. i changed because survivor is more chill even solo and i dont get the toxic and/or hate messages for doing well. Sadly i feel i play the game less and less though, this ruin change has made lobby q`s insane due to killer changing sides or quitting, plus it will make survivor far too easy and games too fast, i dont wanna be in a lobby searching for 15mins for a 5min game. id much rather play survivor having a long and challenging game than and easy one over too quickly
-
dont forget alot of people dont really wanna play killer anymore and alot will wait till the 21st for the new rift. killer lobbies are instant on xbox but no matter your rank you will see red ranks (friend rank 15 keeps getting matched with 1`s)
-
lol you think myers will be viable without ruin against good survivors, good luck hes F`d either way
-
i play survivor and the game will die soon, gonna be too boring and if anyone says killer is still the power role or is as easy to play is either in denial or rank 20. i have played this game for years as a survivor and although they have made balance changes times have changed, alot more people can play well so it naturally becomes harder like any multiplayer over time... ill probably stop playing myself soon with these lobby times and how easy matches are what even is the point tbh, i spent 3/5 times the of time searching for a match than i am playing.. but i guess thats because people cry nerfs because they cant learn to play... shame really was a great game but as usual toxic community that spends more time complaining and ruining the game than trying to make it enjoyable and balance for everyone
-
its was hard to complete the survey tbh, by not fault of your own though, i played the game on and off because it was a huge grind when lobby times got as long as they did, without wait times it might not of been so bad which is why this rift will be worse due to even longer wait times. either way id wanna see the total hours and how many challenges they completed
-
toolboxes can go up to 35% odd repair speed without including perks, i can loop a killer for ages even if i decided to play super safe. issue is alot of people who play survivor just wont admit it, i dont get why, even with ruin and a good team the game was easy and the killer couldnt do much, the only time or reason i can imagine people cant see how survivor is stronger is because they couldnt ever do ruin or arent very good at chases but when the game dies because the game is balanced for two survivors to escape at rank 8? which lets be honest struggle at alot of things...
-
yep, i feel that, i have never hooked the same person twice in a row but this change will force that, even more so on less viable killers like myers which is a shame, i loved random killer wheel but ruin helped some killers just get started. oh well the game will be dead because the more casual killers will quit, survivor lobby times will be too long so survivors will also quit and the game will die out. people forget the killer is also a player wanting fun, and a casual killer could never hooks multiple survivors at my skill so they will quit at certain ranks. corrupt will help for sure but its not the same for slower, less powerful killers... probably nerf corrupt too because it will give you min bronze in gen protection alone
-
Hate messages, kinda pathetic tbh but its just not needed in a game, whether you died, get camped, or all 4 people escape its not needed.
un-needed t-bagging and clicking flashlights at every pallet thinking youre gods gift then when you die you resort to my first comment..
Honestly just being a dick or taking the piss, its a game, people wanna have fun, whether youre good at looping or good at killer you shouldnt try rubbing it in their face when they just want fun too... toxic people know who they are, and they may think its fun but it just shows the kinda person they are and should probably grow up alittle, anyone that deals with it just try ignore it, dont go to their level just move on and enjoy your day/time
-
but if we was creating an extra power to fit in with the wraith then itd have to tie into his lore some what, he killed people in a scrap yard by crushing them so use that scrap yard idea and give him something like "gives him the ability to modify vaults placing sharpened scrap mental on them causing survivors to suffer the hindered status effect, after survivors interact with modified vaults 3 times they become broken returning them to default, breaking modified pallets destroys it and does not refund scrap metal"
-
"ring a ding ding let me take a swing" - Wraith
or
"Oh look at this damn blendette hiding all game"
-
He`s a killer which will punish those less experienced over all however providing you can loop well and keep track of the match you should be okay. If he is using pallets try to remember which are fake and which are real, sadly there is no other way to know other than trial and error. as for snares these will slow you down a fair bit so it can cut loops shorter, dont be afraid to cut loops shorter and drop the pallet sooner than normal. i wouldnt say there is any direct counter except playing the best you can and be observant, and waking up is usually quite useless unless you find yourself near the clock my default

Ermm doctor keep having shock teraphy... 🤷🏻♂️ I ask the same for wraith but with a bell
The doctor had his default shock aura removed (the static field which made people tier up passively) or if youre just on about the doctors ability to shock people so they are unable to drop pallets and vault etc. then even more no, if you did that then theres no point in doctor, if you cant find people playing a killer who has 0 terror radius, harder to spot and can move faster you should try other killers. as i stated above only buff he`d ever need is a very small % to speed while cloaked or reappearance, hes a great hit and run killer already
-
billy is still C tier at best and if you judge by the current state of ranks thats a huge problem right there for anyone that does
-
21st
Survivors are: David and Jane
Killers are: Doctor and Spirit
Completing all changes will roughly get you 40 tiers of progress

What do you think about bad survivors carried by DS, BT, exhaustion perks, items etc.?
survivors will get carried by gen speeds now though too, its like making killers rank more skill based but survivor less skill based... only items i mind are 4 toolboxes because go away damn it haha, DS is only annoying when paired with strong toolboxes and swf IMO

I must be the only killer to love the ruin change.
i like the perk idea, but feel it should have been a new perk and ruin have a different change tbh
-
Terrible idea no offense, they removed that even from doctor because its a cheap idea and id rather not have killers all having similar abilities. i think wraith is good how he is, and long as he gets his speed after uncloaking hes a good killer, any buff should be the smallest of % increase to either speed or reappearance time

I play both sides but majority of my play time is on survivor and even I'm baffled with the ruin change. Heck I was even baffled with the Nurse nerf, All her problem was the broken add ons lol
im the same, the new nurse is dreadful you can just apply the same strat as huntress just keep running blocking line of sight. i know it probably shouldnt annoy me as much as it does but iv always been a solo survivor and the team i get either struggles with ruin, chases or both yet i still felt like i was doing so well and it was easy but now, random perks will be even easier and games will be lack luster

High end refers to at least top 1% of players. Simply as that. Best players in terms of skill, mecanics, knowledge on the game.
I'm counting scrims, tournamments , matchmaking games vs very good players, evidence that I see from other players profficient on other killers playing with very good survs, etc.
In a normal rank 1 game most people is average on both sides, I'm not counting that. Every high end player destroys at rank 1 on both sides because the huge difference on skill. Here I'm counting high end vs high end.
Rank is not a thing here, I'm at rank 1 since the first week I started playing the game back in 2017.
then youd know huntress and billy have no chance against them, hell i dont think billy has ever hit me with that thing unless i messed up by going into a dead end i thought a window was open... im not here to argue though everyone can have their opinion but from my experience billy, huntress are lower, so are some others while others move up but once again thats my experience and my opinion

This tier list is not an opinion. I take experience from tournaments played by me and a lot of evidence taken from other high end players that I see.
In a tourney you should never use a killer lower than A tier or you are pretty much screwed. Maybe Ghostface with a little bit of luck can also be competitive.
Huntress and Billy are very good choices vs very good survs on practically every map, even on bad maps for them they still perform better than B tier. Considering the players using the killers are proficient with them.
its your opinion... and im still yet to see some of the ones you played so high do as well as you claim, against more casual survivors sure but top end, definitely not. but thats YOUR opinion to mine, im sure most of us have had experience in the game for example iv been rank 1 for 2+years playing each killer and survivors. and if the tournaments are the ones i think you're on about isnt that where people just piss about and have fun than more competitive... game by nature isnt competitive, survivors the power role, can you imagine huntress as slow as she is keeping pressure without ruin against a good team with knowledge? me either
-

It's almost imposible that I miss 5 hatchets on a single chase. If I end it because of that I had 2 or 1 hatchets at the start which means I downed 1 or two survivors earlier without realoding to continue the snowball.
Wraith chase potencial is pretty low vs good survs, easily rushed. Low slug/snowball potencial comparing to A tier.
The tier list is make around high end players, assume those killers at played at max potencial. Same on surv side.
wraith is hit and run not 1v1, huntress is a better 1v1 but if people block line of sight and keep running youre wasting way too much time due to your speed... you say high end but what does that even mean? iv never seen a billy get chainsaws against the top and huntress gets destroyed by lack of pressure.. if youre just counting red ranks that doesnt matter as ranking is flooded with noobs who should be purple ranks at best
-
i dont get why billy and huntress are so high up tbh, billy is very loop able and he wastes so much time trying to get chainsaw hits against people who can loop and huntress will not have any pressure on the bigger maps even more so with the ruin change.. i guess this is your opinion though so you can place them where you like, but some of the killers you have placed high i find some of the easiest to loop
-
teachables like BBQ,POP,Corrupt,Thana,Nurses will be good ones to learn early on.
Although people say nurse is the strongest i feel the time it takes to learn her and all her add-ons isnt worth it and i dont feel shes as strong as people make out. the killer is more your choice, which one you enjoy playing and can play well. personally i avoid huntress and bubba as playing against them is the easiest (for me) but id say try them all, youll soon find out which are more fun to you and which are stronger in your play style
-
but dont people play the killers to get their adept first or is that just me? i couldnt imagine only playing a killer if i had a full well built loadout for them... of course ruin makes a difference in how good you do but other perks can help too, if you really wanna learn the killer shouldnt you play them at their weakest to see what you need to improve on?
-
although i disagree with this and my opinion is quite different to yours, im just glad youre happy with your picks and have your own opinion. too many people wanna compare dicks and see which can swing the most but in the end everyone plays different and has different preferences

No need to resort to insults. It was a genuine question. The way I played her (At rank 1 might I add) she does just like any other mid tier killer.
Clown, however, has no power in red ranks. People just run through his gas. It does nothing.
sigh, his bottles by default reduce survivor movement speed by 15% they also stop fast vault at windows. my point being is at default no add-on plagues puke is weak, any decent survivor will make it a chore to hit them whether youre breathing down their neck or not, and even after all that hassle you have injured them and then your power is useless. clown can still use his, im saying clown at base default no perks or add-ons seems better, theres almost no need to waste time puking with her default. as for add-ons clown has only very few good add-on unlike the plague and plague gains bonus strength from the broken effect but mainly when paired with perks. and you havent asked a question, iv said why i think her default is bad and your only reply has been its not hard, clowns bottles are pointless... no argument, evidence or even a decent example thats why i havent replied to you. we can all use add-ons to make killers good and plague gains a huge power increase by using them unlike the clown which his best ones is probably reduces survivor movement speed even longer and effects lasts even longer. you also never read into the question i asked in this post which was "So do we test viable as default or with changes?" and "i guess im just curious on how most people judge who is stronger than who"

Well mainly, tell me about your Wraith experience.
listens in excitement as Wraith main
haha that last part got me, well from my experience he`s an underrated killer and is one i find fun to play as. By default by no means is he the strongest but he has alot of promise, his increased speed and 0 terror radius while cloaked is amazing, it allows for better map control and easy scouting with survivors having little information on position, direction and range. i see alot of people say "spinechill counter" but straight of the bat using a perk to gain small info which a normal terror radius killer gives you isnt bad and most other killers have counters similar so i avoid that argument. his ability to hit and run makes him very deadly in the right hands making him a good killer, although his add-ons arent the strongest of all killers they make him a bigger threat whether that be by increasing his map control or masking his location even more, and by my standards he`s a good killer and can succeed on all maps unlike some others that can struggle
-
@Boss said:
Going by your first sentence and me barely playing either of those Killers, i'm actually more interested in your judgment on all of them.
missed this comment, by all means ask away i have played at rank 1 since console release and do own every killer and perk so iv had time to analyse alot of things considering the amount of variables in game

Do you use your puke at long range or something? Use it when you're breathing down the Survivor's neck. It's not that hard.
i guess i go against more adept survivors that know to loop or block the line of sight from your puke, with add-ons its easy, without its far more time consuming. but you sound like someone who cant have a discussion and think their opinion is flawless and not up for debate... thats not what im looking for in this post, more of a discussion and reasoning than "no youre bad, my opinions right"

@Marcus said:
Clown legit has no power without add-ons. I take default Plague over Clown with perks and add-ons IMO. And Plague is good even with just yellow and green add-ons. And you usually are gonna use these types of add-ons on every killer.
his bottles do still do work, and yeah clowns add-ons are great at all tbh and thats why plague ends up being better. my main issue with add-ons is the cost, sure you say average game is yellow and green which is 9k BP which isnt much but when you look into the amount of BP used to obtain those add-ons you use then it becomes more of an issue, im sure we all have our favorite add-ons and ones we hate and never use, but you still need to buy the ones you hate to get to the ones you like and doing this for all killers gets very costly indeed. i guess this is why im so for the ability to sell items/add-ons at reduced BP
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Wraith is another add on dependent killer. I think that’s the reason this group is considered weak compared to the other killers.
There isn’t much reason to ever play without add ons though.
I have been playing Plague lately and I think her cooldown addons are her best out of the non-iridescents.
i dont feel he is as dependent as some of the others, while they do help him you can gain bonus movement speed and 0 terror radius while clocked catching and injuring alot offguard, but he is more of a killer focused on 4v1 not 1v1
-
@Awakey said:
Slowing Survivors by a miniscule amount vs. having them broken or having the most powerful ability in the game if they cleanse is a no-brainer.
Base Plauge is vastly superior to base Clown. It's not even a comparison.
and on maps where its so easy to avoid the puke? let alone the time taken to get them broken? dont get me wrong when plague is built up shes strong, but the time it takes to break someone who can loop times is long. the clown shortens loops and can even stop you getting to them, but if clown say had the same strength add-ons he could be just as strong and thats where he lacks the most.

Yea again where's ur facts? look I don't care how many of you say I'm wrong it's written on screen as one of 3 examples of griefing just cause you all are "interpretating" what the devs mean that's on you until u have facts proving what your saying then I'll shut up n apologize till then it's written in game on screen under griefing and trolling as for the achievement that says take a hit while carrying someone this can be achieved without body blocking. Ty GG #ProveMeWrongWithFacts
Well i deleted my 40+mins of recording due to space consumption. like i said that is the only form of bannable body blocking, not only that its not worth the effort to do so, submitting a ticket, collecting all the proof they need is time consuming and not worth it. you can also view what actions are bannable through DBD, while most of them are the obvious there is a category all to do with working with the killer etc. which is a hard one to prove and get the ban for but it is still an issue they look into, obviously alot of people over use terms and over react to alot of things.
-
Im trying to compare killers by their default status, having to use strong add-ons to make them playable seems like an odd way to go, but then those killers who are stronger without add-ons their add-ons then to be more lack luster. so with perks and add-ons the plague does beat the clown, but thats due to add-ons. its hard to judge due to so many variables in the game. i guess im just curious on how most people judge who is stronger than who, i tend to judge it on a mixture of completely default and when theyre all kitted out and what it takes to make them strong
-
Okay right listen. body blocking isnt bannable unless youre taking the game hostage, by taking the game hostage it means forcing a user to quit in order to play the game. the only real way this can happen is if a killer has killed 3 people and traps you within a corner, in doing so you cannot move, you cannot escape, you cant even die by endgame collapse. so yes it can be bannable but that is the only real reason, i have even had experience from this and was trapped by the same killer every time i was the last survivor, i even left my game running and 50mins later im still stuck in a corner when he could of easily killed and hooked me and so forcing me to quit. he was banned. personally just quit and move on though, you get what a 1min ban and its not gonna happen often and isnt worth the hassle or bother
-
well the challenges are easier to do this time round, shame they arent more focused on the 4 characters a bit more tbh, we still have random perk challenges in there and very basic challenges, but it is free stuff since you get cells back. i do hope they make it less of a grind in the future due to the lobby times which is where i spent most of my time, luckily i took a month break ready to grind again. for anyone curious i believe you need to do 30tiers of gameplay if you do every challenge. (every challenge = 40 tiers)

for anyone that doubts gen rushing being a thing, a single well built toolbox can increase repair speed by 35% thats then not including prove thyself, resilience etc. for even more detail for those less experienced a solo gen takes roughly 80 seconds by default, with a toolbox that increases repair by 30% drops that solo gen to 57 seconds, imagine that x4, imagine that with prove thyself.. it exists, sure some people over use it but when you understand loops etc. and can actually do them right it will take the killer alot of time to get you, then mixed with the fact it takes 2 hits and its 12 hooks to get a 4k... its just math really..
well done me for providing stats, staying on topic and not arguing with everyone, woohoo!

i can heavily relate to what you just said, just yesterday i have been playing plague with black incense and the very rare add on that increases puke effectiveness (i forgot what it was called) and i have been getting 3 to 4 kills every round, and i honestly felt bad and decided to play her without add ons, and my god it was a day and night difference, her power was way too weak and the puking took forever to injure them, and i was playing on blood lodge so not a lot of LOS breakers, and i still barely hit ppl with the puke. and if i was playing on an indoor map without add ons then god i don't know what would've happened to my brain cells
i think this is the reason i dont enjoy playing her as much as other killers, knowing each game i have to put 8k or more BP into add-ons each match so shes more playable just to get a short return because of how difficult it can be to pip/gain BP back. which is a shame because she can have a good build going for her, but i also dont wanna splash out on a killer just to play them

Recently bought Legion using some shards I had saved up, and have been enjoying them a fair bit. I was curious if y’all had any favorite builds with them or thoughts about how they stand right now. Making them a part of my main killers is definitely something I’m thinking about.
context im rank 1 survivor and killer, have been every season since console release and own every killer. Now i will say legion is not the strongest killer, his changes where both good and bad but some little tricks will help.
- when using frenzy judge the distance of how far the next target is, dont go crossing a full map for another hit, youre wasting time and others have mended and probably healed too.
- when hitting multiple survivors with frenzy its sometimes good to stop at 3 people unless the 4th is close, usually by the time you get a hit on the third survivor the first has mended and starting to heal or do gens again.
- if people are injured throughout the map and tend not to heal or arent healing much dont be afraid to use your frenzy to cross the map
- Never and i mean never hit the same person with frenzy, you give them a free sprint burst for no reason if you do
- You can still break generators while in frenzy
Perks i use: Corrupt, thana, pop and BBQ
-
for anyone that doubts gen rushing being a thing, a single well built toolbox can increase repair speed by 35% thats then not including prove thyself, resilience etc. for even more detail for those less experienced a solo gen takes roughly 80 seconds by default, with a toolbox that increases repair by 30% drops that solo gen to 57 seconds, imagine that x4, imagine that with prove thyself.. it exists, sure some people over use it but when you understand loops etc. and can actually do them right it will take the killer alot of time to get you, then mixed with the fact it takes 2 hits and its 12 hooks to get a 4k... its just math really..

NGL be so frustrating if they made a huge difference in hat you got in different prestige levels... reason for this is i have every survivor and killer level 50 with 4/5 pages of perks which let me tell you is a ridiculous grind and i do not wish to go through all that again at prestige 3, i also dont want perk tiers removed or its be too easy then, i still feel a store/button to sell items,add-ons and offerings you dont would be a better way, allows you to sell those you will never use for a few BP back, iv discussed this before but no one took an interest sadly, i even balanced the numbers if it was to be a thing
-
so i play probably 85% survivor, 15% killer both rank 1. but i dont like the change tbh, i always did solo survivor for games to be more challenging and tense yet still fun at the same time, most games i could hit ruin skillchecks unless i was having an off day so id just get the totem which lets be honest isnt hard at all once you understand tiles. Although i believe ruin needed a change this was the wrong way about it, its made it too easier now for everyone to escape for the sake of new player. new players hardly went against ruin, you barely see it until purple ranks before it all changed. but now we have another hex not many people will use while games get easier, i also feel it takes a huge part of learning and skill from the survivor side, struggling with ruin would make you learn to hit great skill checks, lead better chases because the gens are going slower and even teach you map tiles while you looked for the totem if you needed to. but now... well if the killer doesnt break off a chase from me im expecting 2+gens per chase
-
just reward shards each level they go up in once per season. so 25shards per rank..
- 20-19 = 25 shards
- 19-18 = 25 shards
you get the idea, after rank reset it will calculate how many ranks you are from 20 and providing the right amount of shards. (475 shards for hitting rank 1) like people say ranking up isnt insanely hard, not only that shards are hard to get otherwise for casual players and it would also allow people to play both sides for a small bonus reward. get both to rank 1 and you get a nice 950shards each month
-
i would suggest playing at a different time, i play on xbox and have done since its console release. have been rank 1 killer and survivor every season i play however connection plays a huge part, even if youre host with good connection their individual connection to you will affect some of the things youre talking about, i also think auto aim messes up attacks more often than not. so dependent on whether i want fast killer games, or better connection killer games are completely different times throughout the day, same as ranks tbh. But you need to remember some killers are very lack luster in terms of power and pressure they can create, some killers require a good build with good add-on unlike others where add-ons dont matter as much. Good perks i run are corrupt, pop, sloppy, thana, haunted grounds,BBQ,nurses, infectious,STBFL and monitor. dependent on killer, survivor items or map if im picking
-
taking a break most probably, dont forget rank reset happened recently and alot of killer tend to finish at rank 5 to go back a bunch of ranks. personally i only play when the rift is active and i have something to aim towards. but alot of killers dont wanna put up with the weird balances that seem to happen while having to put up with a huge amount of rude and toxic players, you will also find alot of killers play survivor too which is more fun and stress free.
