Nurse being fixed feels like Dead Hard being getting it's validation and being fixed.
Like yeah, it's good that they are working properly, but you just buffed the best perk/Killer that didn't need buffs.
This is a bad mindset and poor logic.
-
This problem was already addressed and solved. Unless something broke recently, which I assume hasn’t, this reads like OP doesn’t really understand the Pinhead killer and mechanics.

Yeah, people on here are being a bit dramatic. Lot of good changes in here.

My expectation of BHVR are already below zero. They still manage to prove that they are too high. That's why I said "one can dream".
Lower your expectations to zero because that’s what you deserve.
-
Lower your expectations. To zero. Then realize what they are giving us is pretty nifty.
-
Yeah, I think it'll make its way into several of my builds. It actually looks like its worth using. Gearhead too is going to be a great informational perk. Literally a consistent info perk. Hit one person, any one other survivor on a gen gets revealed for ten seconds.
I want these to come out the PTB unscathed.
-
This is anticipated to be really good. Makes Dead Lock look like a really questionable perk now.
-
A perk to save five seconds doesn't compare to perks that stuns the killer for five seconds, makes chases another thirty seconds longer for one down, or reduce gen times, etc. It just doesn't do enough by itself.
Unless Remember Me catches on. Then maybe. But super doubt. It'd be at most 36 seconds of gate time and Wake Up would reduce that to 27 seconds. Too niche. Too little impact on most trials.
-
I think you need to submit a ticket to DBD support.
-
I get that you didn’t get what you wanted. These are still good changes.
-
I went out of my way to earn all four. Then never used them. The P3 headpiece is cooler than any of them.
Looking forward to my iri shards I guess.

Most Stealth Characters are not in stealth while in a chase. For example Ghostface will lose stealth and have a 32 meter terror radius after hitting a survivor and the Pig will have a 32 when she's not crouched, which she likely won't be while in a chase. Even Michael Myers will have a 32 meter terror radius while tier 3 is active.
So what stealth character are you referring to that has a 24 meter terror radius?
I’m talking about all the killers you mentioned. I feel you missed my point entirely.
Killer sneaks up undetectable, begins chase (no longer undetectable), survivors outside the first chase (maybe doing gens) has no idea the killer is close at all.
Killers that have 24 meter terror radius is really just Hag and Spirit now. This would’ve been incredible on prenerfed Deathslinger.

As I said I have messages turned off since I don't care what people want to say after a game, GG or salt. I'm thinking of others mostly young ones and protecting people from bullies and such. I was beaten up a few times myself as a child by older bullies, might be why I feel strong about this idk.
I understand your point also. Wanting to talk and having that freedom to do so no problem.
This is talking about young ones on a game rated Mature (17+). There shouldn’t be young ones per the ESRB Rating. This will go into a conversation too complex for me to continue discussing on a gaming forum.
I empathize with your personal experience. One of my favorite quotes is, paraphrasing: You do not help someone by making the world, with all its horrors, smaller. You help them by making the individual bigger.

To be fair; even Survivors have agreed that healing right now is busted and Circle Of Whatever needs nerfing.
And yet devs completely ignored that.
Edit: fixed typos.
I think COH could use a nerf. I also think the backlash to the midpatch is a bit dramatic for me.
-
It’s meant to be used with stealth characters (ie Ghostface). The idea is you start chasing Survivor A while undetectable. Survivor A knows they are being chased. With stacks of furtive up, Survivor B could be surprised because of the smaller terror radius while in chase.
Remember, some of the killers only have a 24 m terror radius. We’re talking eight meters before it’s recognized the killers nearby. Zero on Tier 2 Shape.
-
Put me down in the category of they do not owe me anything, so anything at all is nice of them. It did take me a while to get the Jake ones, but then I never really played with it.
Also to some of the subsequent discussion, they should not give away licensed (auric cell only) cosmetics to make up for the masks. That is asking too much imo.
-
I guess I’m not supposed to be happy about the Nemesis, Pig, Cannibal, Oni addon buffs. Or the Remember Me, Furtive chase, Dead Mans Switch, Gearhead, Boiled Over, Power Struggle perk buffs.
They didn’t nerf what you wanted nerfed.
-
There’s tons of good additions in this update. It’s just being ignored.

Yeah, the Ultra Rare buffs are cool, but I honestly don't see why they felt the need to nerf Marvin's Blood. Same with Flask of Bleach and Stale Biscuit to be honest.
My best guess is players are using the same couple of addons on these killers when there are plenty of addon combos worth using on these characters that are just not being utilized.
Nemesis for example. My favorite combo was Mikhails Eye and Depleted Ink Ribbon. Zombies moved at 2.0 m/s. It did not feel like 2.5 m/s some of the time was really that much better than 2.0 all the time. Now its 3.0 m/s over 1.85 m/s. Not only is that seriously fast. There’s almost no room for error for survivors being hounded by one of these.
The only other buff I could ask for Shattered Stars is for it to increase base zombie movement speed, too. Then there’s no question on which one’s better.
Twins has other combinations that just aren’t popular. One of my favorites right now is Weighty Rattle and Sewer Sludge. It makes it take longer to remove Victor, and leaves them broken for a time after. It’s a great antiheal build.

Bubba got nerf the addon that were good on him got nerf by 2%. So you you use your chainsaw instead of gaining 4% movement speed you will only get 2% movement speed that a huge nerf. The buff he receive are on tantrum addon honestly i dont think you want to go in tantrum unless the survivor jump in a locker in front of you
All four of Cannibals addons were buffed. Those were decreases in the decreases in speed. He had an addon combo called Burger King Bubba because chainsawing speed was reduced by such a drastic amount with those two combined. It literally says in the notes that they reduced the movement speed penalty.
The iridescent buffs included in these notes are being heavily downplayed. Oni, Nemesis, Pig and Twins has drastic increases in their viability. Players might actually start using them now.
Buffs that OP called ‘nice’ (ie Dead Mans Switch) were significant. Furtive Chase can be used by all stealth killers and will be impactful with some imagination. Some players already determined that DMS will be OP with Artist.
-
That’s right. Three hits on one survivor or two on two separate survivors. I’m not for the nerf, but not really against it. I’m more excited about the iridescent buffs then the nerfs to uncommon addons.

You know people will read what others say no matter what, you see it here time and time again. This person said this, that person said that. I think it's more important to close this platform for toxic/evil people and protect minors than having you or others talking about how fun or not fun the game you just played was. Just press a GG button and go to the next game you will get more bloodpoints playing than talking.
As politely as possible, I am fervently against this point of view. Close your own chat if afraid of the possibility of mean people.
I like talking to people about the game just played. Even the banter. When I do not want to talk to other people I do not engage.
-
Twins are a top tier killer. I see plenty of bad nurses. Doesn’t mean she’s not the best killer in the game. Twins have base kit, no activation requirement, snowball potential.
I may be the only player that’s happy they buffed baby teeth. It should be blindness while Victor is attached as well.
-
Just close your own chat. Stop trying to close other peoples.
-
Iridescent Family Crest might actually be good now. Both Nemesis’s iridescents. Twins kick Victor iri is way stronger.
Dead Mans Switch got a significant buff. Furtive Chase will be good on any stealth killers now.
Pig had two nice buffs to addons.
There are a lot of small, simple buffs that add to the game. I was hoping for more after the precedent set by the last mid chapter but these were solid changes.
-
I think the height difference is going to play a factor for implementing him into DBD. The other cenobite may face a similar issue. The width I don’t think will matter at all.
-
Oni’s Iridescent Family Crest. Both Nemesis’s iridescents. Pigs buffs. Then the updated Dead Mans Switch and Gearhead. I want to see what those are like now.
-
Paragraphs please
-
They said the list didn’t include everything. But that was a good point aboutvthe Makeup addon.
-
I weirdly have a lot of success on both those maps. Sometimes I lose but I don’t know that its 100% because of the map.
Haddonfield has been extremely toned down. It’s mostly dead zones now with a couple of decent loops. The main building is just terrible for survivor now.
-
I would do this depending on how easy it is to implement into my gaming.
-
This thread assumes there haven’t been tons of bugs fixed for her already. Like she was swept under the rug and any good bug patched out asap. Multiple untrue assumptions.
I remember when she couldn’t blink through hills. Midwich. Chapel.

Fact: Hillbilly takes more mechanical skill to beat good survivors with engravings then nurse.
Half of Hillbilly’s addons are handicapped. Engravings included.
Nurse is unlimited potential. Therefore perpetually #1. To discount that potential always gets suspicious eyebrows raised. I think arguments for map dependence are fair. But the potential is always present.

Honestly, I'd rather have wiggle stay as it is. Something tells me the skill check thing is going to backfire.
I think it’ll be a good idea. It will probably work like the (I think Yellow?) Glyphs that had back to back skill checks. That was probably a test for this just like how Executioners cages were a test for Hook Struggle skill checks.
-
It is too strong. What I’m trying to contemplate while playing is does stomping the totem out do as much damage to the survivors as it should? Booning takes 14 seconds minimum. 16 to heal. Thats a 30 second use of time. Boons are snuffed in (most of the time) considerably less time.
The issue seems to be: how long it takes to reach certain boons (Dead Dawg, Iron Works, RPD, The Game, the new map) for the killer. The area the boons reach in multiple floor maps. Then, after those considerations, comes the healing multipliers and distance on one floor.
In my opinion a nerf is justified.
My feeling is that boons should: A) be snuff-able from a distance, a killer on RPD could do an action to snuff the library totem on the third floor, from the first floor; increase the time to snuff to five seconds to makeup for survivor time lost, B) those booms can only provide benefits to the same level as the boon; making survivors have to travel a lot of distance to take advantage just like the killer would have to travel, or C) don’t allow totems on floors above or below the base ground (where the exit gates spawn) to be boon-able.
-
Was hoping for balance adjustments in the update. Bummer. Hope there’s quite a bit more for tomorrows Part Two.

Don't.
But in all seriousness if you're seriously wanting to improve as Billy here's some things you'll need to know.
1. Be prepared to lose. A lot. When starting out you need to get familiar with Billy's chainsaw and this takes a lot of time. Don't feel bad when you lose and don't resort to just m1ing everyone. Pay attention to survivor patterns and as you get more advanced you can use those patterns to path for flicks.
2. Find your sense. Billy's chainsaw uses the controller sensitivity not mouse sense. On PC I recommend keeping this at 100 for maximum range of movement, on console only thing from 85 to 100 is fine but be careful with 100 as it can be hard to track survivors that are in your face.
3. Q and E. Most of the best Billy players use Q and E to steer the chainsaw due to how sensitive the chainsaw is when using the mouse. This allows for more precise flicks and control. But of course this is all personal preference.
4. Addons. I actually recommend running no addons to start. The reason for this is you need to master Billy at his weakest first as it sets the foundation for the more advanced stuff. Engravings can be put on here in there but I'd recommend setting your muscle memory early so you have an easier time later.
Finally 5. DONT RUN BAMBOOZLE. Now yes bam is a great Billy perk however, it is significantly more beneficial to learn without it. It teaches good habits and makes you have to be creative to deal with windows. Learn without it and throw it on once you already grasp his basic mechanics and chase interactions for a stronger Billy.
Hope this helps and I encourage questions 👇
- Billy is completely capable of winning pubs. (I don’t play tournaments so can’t speak to that side.)
- Getting used to the initial chainsaw turn speed is critical to playing Billy and curving. I’ve mained him for years and still oops every so often. A lot of players drop him because they can’t make sense of this mechanic.
- I don’t know if this is a brag but I just use the mouse. QE I’m sure can be mastered but I personally dislike switching from moving with my left hand to my right. He’s perfectly fine without this. I should also note I play at a very high sensitivity on mouse. That may be why I do fine with it.
- No addons is a common learning strat for any killer. I might actually suggest instead to bring the two heat related addons instead. Air Filter and the yellow cooldown addon. Go crazy with the chainsaw until you develop a better feel for the whens and wheres of a chainsaw
- I go in and out of Bamboozle on Billy. Some players think it’s unfair, but my killer experience tells me that generally vaulting a window is a no no. Even with fifteen percent faster vaulting speed, the killer generally loses too much distance by the act. Set ups are usually more productive, but don’t expect hits with it. (Cannibals a different story because of the nature of his saw taking so much longer.) I tend to prefer Enduring over Bam for my chase perk. Want a second chase perk? Spirit Fury.
All in all Billy has one of the simplest powers in the game with lots of small intricacies that help increase his skill cap. It is incredibly satisfying ending a chase in seconds instead of the W / M1 chasing that other killers require. High reward at high risk.
-
I really struggled with Deathslinger post nerf. Not so much anymore. Maybe my MMR leveled out but I think it really came down to: getting used to the new ADS speed and knowing when not to shoot to gain distance on wriggling survivors.
-
I think this could be a QOL change for hooking downs, but would leave Victor completely defenseless. I would like to hook slugs faster but hasn’t been happening.
-
I don’t really look for bad lists. It is interesting seeing the old tier lists though. There was a time Trapper actually was the best killer in the game.

Dude Deathslinger was never considered S Tier(Let alone A tier) even before the nerfs by anyone who plays killer as he was simply too slow to win most games as speed is considered the best stat in the game for killers and he has the worst overall speed in the game.
He's obnoxiously slow as he has the highest amount of self slows in the entire game at NINE from his power let alone for a 110% killer.
He also can't defend generators very well nor can he reach generators further spread out then a hard 3 gen.
I think you are really discounting how good he was at chase and the effect that had on generators. He was one of the best at getting downs quickly.

Honestly, I can’t complain about his thoughts on most killers. Twins is crazy good, and the ridiculous downplaying most do with them is hilarious. I agree they’re top 5, maybe not 3 but Victor is one of the strongest powers in the game. I’m also glad to see Billy and Slinger up there, as both are still very good killers. People like to over exaggerate their demise. Billy and Slinger both just went from S to A tier killers after each of their respective nerfs.
Was a good watch, like to see other people’s opinions who know the game.
I agree. The lowballing of these killers (Deathslinger, Twins, Hillbilly in particular) always made me feel awesome when I achieved better results played with them then the tier lists said could be done. This list feels reasonable.
The only one I’m tempted to place down is Artist because I believe the counterplay already exists and is really damaging.
-
Deathslinger was S tier in his prior list and I think it was reasonable. He’s able to make shots on players in an eighteen meter radius around him. Mixed with the shorter terror radius, he was soooo good in chase that he didn’t need gen regression at all. He would just tear through survivors in chases.
They 100% nerfed that, but if you play with identical builds, you can achieve the same results. I’ve been doing really really well with Slinger these last couple of weeks after reverting back to my prenerf build.
Thing is monitor was always highly useful on him. Now it’s practically mandatory. STBFL remains one of his best perks; giving him access to the hit-shot-hit combo. It still works. It comes down to getting used to when to pull the trigger. The insta-ADS shot is gone. Adapt.
-
I like running Endfury on him with Pallets mixed with blindness addons. It can get to a point that survivors think real pallets are fake when Spirit Fury triggers lol.
-
The devs of this game went out of their way to make this the easiest rift they’ve ever released. Rift fragments take only five hundred points to earn (nerfed from 800). Then they gave us a special Halloween tome with two levels within. Each having tons of fragments. THEN they did daily Christmas giveaways, often giving five or ten fragments every other day. If anyone complains about completing the Tome on here; it would be ludicrous.
I know I am not answering the question. The answer was stated above. Do challenges and maybe you’re too late because they made this easy mode already.
-
The problem with DH seems to be something like: even though you’re hitting on your screen, you are not. So it forces the killer into cooldown even though the lunge or killer power is not completely used up. Demo lunges, pig dashes are stopped. Neme whips have no effect even though there are other potential hits like a pallet. The m1 lunges are stopped short.
-
Updated first post with results to this point. Lopro is the leader by far with ten out of sixteen votes. Spiked Boots seems to be recognizably a good addon as well with four votes. Tuned Carberator has a couple of votes of confidence; and surprisingly made a couple of second place spots in the lists above. Pighouse Gloves is considered bad by all so far who spoke on it.
-
Snuffing a totem grants the killer 25% progress. Once reaching 100% the killer can mori one survivor upon downing them.
