You shoot one to swarm and then you fan with three. It's not that hard to make it work.
I think being able to do three into three would be too oppressive. If someone's holding W and successfully evading the birds, just ditch the power and chase them in the open. If they go to a loop and actually try to use it, bird - or place one bird to trick them into thinking you're setting up and then follow them out of the loop. She's a 115; she doesn't have the trouble handling this that other ranged killers do, and her power is good for zoning.
I think we’re going to find she won’t be winning any tournaments any time soon. Some people think S and she aint it.
-
Artist needs significant buffs to her cooldown. Incredibly bad, but has potential. If the artist shoots a bird at a W gamer, she loses even more distance. Noone would actually loop her so no resources are used
-
It has to be a threat of the crow. It’s meant to cut off the survivor and scare them from taking the hit by avoiding the path set. Eating the m1 is often the best move.
-
Figured I'd separate my vote from the original post.
I feel Spiked Boots is his best Very Rare addon. I think the turn speed allows for more hits with zig zaggers, makes cross map navigation easier, gives me the zoomies feeling, and helps with snipes. He feels more versatile with these imo and is one of the few addons imo that make him feel like a better killer.
Have to say I wish his Very Rares didn't all have drawbacks to each one though.
-
There’s two problems with it. 1.) It’s a one time use and seems to only be good in theory. 2.) It does not undo progress on gens.
I would recommend fixing one of these. 1.) It activates every fourth hook by the killer, including DCs. 2.) It activates once, but resets the gens back to zero as well.
-
I agree that overheat was exaggerated. His addons remain in need of buffs. Every single purple could use a buff. The two green charge time addons are agitating that they are in the control of the survivors to activate. Then there’s Big Buckle; it’s too restrictive just like Pighouse Gloves.
I agree his basekit is fine. I will disagree that any of his addons are powerful or competitive to the level of the top killers like Spirit or Blight.

I had some interesting matches couple days ago. Was playing late at night so I got the same three man SWF three games in a row.
I was playing the Artist. My build is BBQ, Pain Resonance, Pop, and Franklins. Mind yall I run Franklins on Artist because if you’ve played her a bit, she massively struggles with flashlights. Not blinds, but burning the crows.
First game I got a 1k. Second a 0k. Stole all their items. Teabagged in exit gate? Got your medkit.
The third game. Them again. Let’s go. I won every chase. Multiple cross maps snipes. One player DC’d only halfway through the match after getting downed at a distance. Other two didn’t have a chance after that. Gens never moved forward and I got their items a third time in a row.
That DC tells me that even though they had good matches before, I was putting a lot of pressure on them. They were winning. And they broke first. Didn’t see them after that lol.

Please explain me, if you are at main building, and you notice that friend got wounded. So according to your build - you can intervene (hypothetically).
How do you know, that killer is chasing around shack - without comms?
Id like to learn that technique for soloq
“How do you know without comms?”
Terror radius and vision.
-
All math in DBD like this is additive.
-
My favorite interaction back when I was playing on PS4 was when a player (who DC'd with a four man swf) was explaining to me how OP Clown was and that noone felt that way because noone else plays the game as much as he does. And I know it was a he because they left me a bunch of angry voicemails over PS4 that are all saved and lovingly shown to anyone who'll listen with me.
-
It's not the comms. It's the collection of good players making good plays.
You don't need comms to know situationally when to bodyblock, go for flashlights, do gens, run the killer. The primary reason people like to swf is to reduce the solo queue teammates that mess up the match by making bad plays.
Also, don't forget: it's not a swf if you win the match.
-
I’ve felt like OP before. After a while I just start using them again. It’s purely tied to bloodpoint goals now. If I’m prestiging, all the BP offerings are getting used up.
-
Pain Resonance is enough gen regression alone. If more is needed: Next would be pop. Then probably Corrupt. For further kick damage, Oppression.
I would not recommend Eruption since kicks from Surge and Pain Resonance does not activate Eruption.
-
Either it didn’t update or the challenge wasn’t done correctly. The challenge like the one OP mentioned that I remember was one that came with Elodie. You had to do a gen and escape with NO perks equipped.
-
As killer, AFK. Use the time to report on Steam.
As survivor I usually try to get to the exit gates as fast as possible to release the killer from the match or suicide run to the killer with no wiggle when downed.
Basically try to make the game as uninteresting as possible.

That's so dumb it hurts my eyes....
I have ascended.

The player makes the grind larger on their own. It’s the players choice to unlock more and more teachables. Often this leads to players unlocking so many teachables early that it makes beginning the prestige process when it’s easiest less and less feasible.
You, the player, made the grind what it is for yourself.
-
My highest MMR killer has to be Billy.
BBQ / Pain Resonance / PGTW / [Flex]
Flex usually includes Enduring, Bamboozle, or Tinkerer depending on the addons I want to bring.
Before MMR I would run BBQ / Enduring / Spirit Fury / Bamboozle with no gen regression but it doesn't feel like that's possible anymore.
-
Addons need buffs. Iridescents could both come with turn rate. Very Rares could lose their negative effects. Overheat addons should be more liberal (activate in more situations). Rares should not activate by survivors decisions but the killers.
The rest of the uncommon and common addons are fine. Maybe unnerf the bumper Billy addons. They use to reduce the collision by more before the Sep 2020 nerf.

I've been playing him a bit more myself, and the backlash to his changes were definitely partly an overreaction.
I'm still not 100% sure what should be done to improve him from here, but I still support a few things. I think his terror radius should be reverted, and the difference made up with a lullaby radius instead, and maybe buff his movement speed up to 115% so he can actually loop better.
The changes he got were mostly... fine, but needed to come with more positive changes than he got. ADS movespeed and the stun reduction were a good call, though- he does feel nicer to play in those situations.
His advantage over other ranged killers is that he doesn’t have a lullaby. This opens him up to many perks Trickster and Huntress shouldn’t use like Hysteria, M&A, Tinkerer. He even has at least two perks that give him undetectable or survivors oblivious.
The only middle ground I can think is reduce to 28, but I don’t see it happening.
-
I’m still testing, but I have to admit my current feeling is the change was not as bad as I initially thought. I had to get used to the ADS timing. This last week of playing him has felt like normal DS gameplay.
-
I’ve been having a hard time getting my hacks to work as well.
-
Stridor was carrying a lot of Spirits.
-
Krampus. Wish they made more skins like this.

I would like Twins to be the first killer that me and my friend can play together as. One as Charlotte, one as victor. Comms.
As they are now, I would like all Victor hits, healthy or injured survivor to result in a switch back to Charlotte. Or for a mechanic where Charlotte reappears closer after downing a survivor. The hooking phase for Twins is a core issue in my opinion.
Victor should be able to vault windows because of the Haddonfield / two story house issue.
I would recommend an addon pass as well since their current addons do not feel impactful enough. I appreciate about six of them. The Hemmorhage addon buffed to include mangled.
-
If I have maxed deviousness. 2,500 Dev and 700 Sacrifice points could be a lot to give up. But if I’m only getting three hundred points for a kill, I’ll gift someone else the 7,000 instead.
-
It probably had something to do with Head On getting released.
-
My first assumption is OPs definition of toxic is too liberal.
-
Some killers got it bad, some killers got it good. Played Clown, Deathslinger, Leatherface, Doctor much during this event?
-
The radius for boons makes sense for Shadowstep and Jonah's new perk. COH just buffs healing too much imo. Reduce it to fifty percent or (going nuclear:) remove the self care option (unless a survivor brings self care).
-
I would expect the mid chapter PTB in two weeks. The normal timeline is going to be off due to the holidays.

Where'd you hear that? The last time they released map statistics, Rotten Fields was near the top of survival rates - if not the highest.
Rotten Fields has been changed/nerfed twice since those stats.

All Coldwinds suck. There's not a single good farm map
Abbatoirs not that bad.

She’s susceptible to ‘bully’ squads. Her power can be taken away. And a committed player can make tunneling quite difficult for her by negating her power. I’d say this is the core weakness of her after learning her power.
Literally recommend running Franklins on her. I do not recommend it on any other killer.
-
There’s a yellow addon that hinders survivors for the first three seconds (5% debuff).

Killers get a one hit down at hooks. All of them. If they didn't have that, I wonder if they'd play the hook stand off game anymore.
Ive brought this up before (quote above is a thread made some time ago) and stand by that this is the worst part of the base game mechanics that still goes on today.
Giving killers a one hit down (two health state grab) where survivors are at their most vulnerable (hooks) is busted. The logic used above that survivors shouldn’t be safe unhooking in front of the killers is poor logic.
1. Without a grab, it’s still unsafe, 2. The logic is double edged sword: killers shouldn’t be guaranteed a down just because they exist by a hook, 3. It’s a lazy win for killers.
Survivors shouldn’t be entitled to survive is a common phrase in these discussions. Killers aren’t entitled to kills either. This is a core game mechanic issue.
-
There are solutions to this issue within the game (some were already listed above) and the compounding grind is a choice by the player (unlocking more teachables when desired characters are incomplete). I’m player level 12 on my steam account and I have managed to P3 level 50 every survivor and killer.
That’s my experience, then I talk to players with higher player levels then me and listen to them complain that the grind is too much. They’ve grinded just as much as me!
-
The perk needs buffs. If it just gave forever 9% gen speed slowdown, I’d expect many players still wouldn’t use it.
-
It’s just timing. Once you get a feel for where you’ll be in 2.5 seconds and where the survivor would be, you can chainsaw at pretty much every loop.
And tip from a regular Billy player: don’t stack engravings. These are the addons you always see from the Billy players mentioned above that ‘play not to win.’
-
@Sakurra said:
They added overheat because hillbilly players could constantly use their chainsaw to go in point B from point A. They could cross the map very easily. That's why.
This is it. Hillbilly’s nerf coincided with the map reworks.
-
I think it was a result of the map reworks. Just take a look at the patch notes from that era to get a feel of the climate of that time.
-
I thought this was mentioned in the patch notes? Either way, this is a fix for double engraving addons. That’s a great Hillbilly add on mix to lose consistently.
-
Remember - It’s not a swf if you win the trial.

The Severed Tongue is insanely underrated, love that addon. Even then these addons kind of pale in comparison to the Festering Carrion and the Thick Jar, wish they would make some part of them basekit so running other addons is more appealing.
This has been my sense as well with Severed Tongue. The no distance lost is way better QOL then I realized.

Severed Hands is bugged innit? Survivors sometimes get swarmed for seemingly no reason. I'm surprised it hasn't been killswitched TBH.
That’s who introduced it to me. Was it someone else? I hadn’t seen this bug at all in my matches. It’s usually working exact The way described. I also bring Discordance and see them all getting birbed.
”Birbed”

It's a problem, but you will not get any empathy here bud.

I love dbd, I’ve played the game since release, but why are killers tunneling so much lately? It’s almost every other game and i only see nurses, blight, bubba and trickers because it seems they’re the best killers for being a complete d*ck. The game is super unfun, I don’t have complaints with killer because killers is overall fun even if I’m losing honestly. But playing survivor is so boring and unfun. What y’all think about this? Are y’all having the same experience?
-
Noone cares about an opponent pressing the ctrl button when they’re winning.
-
My problem with Billys addons at the moment is there are two that are activated by the survivors, which makes it literally not in the killers power to use or not. Objectively terrible.
Then!
Every purple addon has a significant drawback.
Then!
Two addons require forcing the chainsaw to overheat, which is completely useless in a chase. Too restrictive.
Then dudes left with just a couple of addons that make any difference whatsoever to winning matches.
-
That explains her rattle

Are you talking about the killer one with the glyph challenge on the right You need to collect it in order to save the challenge on it's left.
I noticed I forgot to put a line between the line and the end of the archive but I don't think I need to lol
Yeah you're right. Shouldn't have questioned it lol
