It injures but instead of 3 chains hitting spawning on an injured survivor it's now 2 =worse antiloop
Basically killed all his addons. I'm pissed about the others being nerfed... like chainhunt will never activate now.
Thank you for making sense of the EF adjustment.

I don’t mind missing an attack but the scream and confusion from it appearing like a successful hit feels terrible.
-
People still play a lot of killer despite complaints
-
Now - we play the game.

That doesn't sound very healthy. Nobody should play a game to make other players feel miserable.
That should be a red flag to you and maybe it's time to play a different game, or seek professional help?
They are mourning. I’d let them be for now.

I think it would be interesting to head from high level Gunslinger mains who still play him and do reasonably well and if they had to adapt at all to not having quick draw.
I have had some successful games with Slinger post nerf. The adjustments I’ve had largely deal with the terror radius.
M&A is now counterproductive. Give up on sneaking on survivors (unless using Tink or Plaything) and allow the TR to scare survivors you are not involved with.
I use to pair Monitor with Whispers, but without the Monitor surprise factor, this combo no longer works. Dropped both perks from my build.
STBFL remains one of his best perks. The m1, shot, m1 combo still works.
I’ll be playing him more this next week, but the toughest adjustment for me remains the terror radius.
-
Killer queues are slower than survivor queues.
-
It feels like the only way to stay competitive.
-
There’s a lot of talk of his advantages that don’t exist in high level play. Yes he can hit over things, but survivors do not use resources until they are injured. So they loop then W-key to the next tile. This is normally okay but what’s going on is:
Chases that normally take forty seconds, take well over a minute at the start of the match
No resources are used so once they need to put up blocks, killer has to contend in late game
The whip is not advantaged enough to use. I think he could start at tier 3 and it does not compensate for survivor strategies.
My point is not that survivor is busted. My point is Nemesis is too disadvantaged.
-
Good thing there is a sale on right now and many of the skins can be bought for the equivalent of $2.50. That work for yall any?
-
Hooks grabs shouldn’t be a thing. It’s expounded on by his instasaw.
-
Always there. No good

It's a 6,000 point meme. To actually use it in chase literally slows you down more than the survivor is looping and the time it saves from pallet stuns is offset by the extra loops survivors get from it. I like idea of giving Hillbilly an addon that gives him an enduring effect, but would rather it just be like base enduring off the bat and if Hillbilly suffers a pallet stun, can break pallets faster.

I find it pretty neat with Fire Up + Brutal Strength + Enduring. It's terrible though.
Fun fact, Big Buckle was supposed to be changed with this patch, but they didn't have enough time to go through with whatever change they wanted to make. So we're just stuck with this terrible TR reducing add-on for at least another patch.
That is a fun fact. My suggestion for Big Buckle is just make it a yellow addon version of the Iridescent Brick. Reduce the terror radius of Hillbilly during a chainsaw sprint by 8 meters. I think this could combo well with the other yellow addons: engravings, boots, and quieter saw all make sense with a simple addon like that.
Pighouse Gloves could also just be a rare version of this as well. Reduce Hillbilly's terror radius by 8 meters while sprinting and another yellow addon like increased steering. People would play an addon like that that gave more "Drift King" Billy options. Even the iridescents could use an increased steering effect as well. To be chainsawing around the map silently, it'd be nice to be a little more maneuverable.

If this many people are just leaving games the issue might not be the lack of penalty. It might be the game itself
Yet they queue up again. There’s a whole lot of bad logic in this thread.
The first player I catch almost every game quits out. How is BHVR suppose to fix that? Filter them out with a penalty.
-
If a Cannibal is around a hooked survivor for twenty seconds, he automatically DCs and the killer gets a two minute video talking to from the Head of Game Design on fair play. He must complete the video and answer ten question quiz all asking if he will face camp again ten times. Nine wrong answers and banned for a day.
-
DC's every game when penalty is off. Hackers when DC penalties are on. This game has issues.
-
Discounts only apply to sets. Sets are considered all three pieces or two pieces if one piece was previously bought. The game does not apply discounts if two pieces were bought.
-
From the in game news section:
I would ask that these things were made more available online to see sooner.
-
Looks like the sale just went live. Anyone willing to share?
-
Last year there were about four or five blighted/halloween outfits that could be purchased for shards. Prior to that it was only auric cells mixed with events that allowed the players to earn up to two outfits (or six pieces).
This year there was one new blighted outfit so far (Nea) that could be bought with iri shards and a non blighted related set (Hillbilly).
The details of the sale for today was not made clear yet.
-
I don’t see the issue. I believe players can grief others; but this definition of griefing is too loose.
-
There were two bloodpoint rewards given away. 200k for the Tuesday Steam error. 666k for logging in during Halloween.
It makes sense that you’d end up with 866k if this is a players first login in a few days.

IMO, the only good Trickster skin is his prestige. Think Kakihara from Ichi The Killer.
The colour variations are ok, but everything else is just silly.
Agreed about his prestige. The Tome weapon do be looking cool do.
-
I’ve been trying new charge time addon combos on Hillbilly. Black Grease and Mothers Helpers. Doom Engravings and Tuned Carberator.
Black Grease doesn’t add a lot to chases. MH still remains the mvp since pallet stuns are more common and flashlights are avoided.
Tuned Carberator remains a bummer to play with. Hope they can find a better handicap than this in a future update. 110% Hillbilly is a bummer.
-
My guess, since that’s all we have right now, is that the outfits unlock when the last cell of the Halloween tome is selected. Like how when the regular tome levels are completed and we get a tome specific charm and some rift fragments, we get an outfit instead.
-
It’s currently believed to be tied to video tape.
-
I guess noone likes Hillbilly anymore. I’m surprised because I definitely still love this killer. Thank you for the above suggestions. They aren’t live unfortunately so I can’t get a heads up feel before getting home from work.
-
Just saw this happen on Dowseys stream. Rule set + Video Tape.
-
Wish Billy got more attention in general. Took me a while to find a YT video of his new cosmetics. It looks like his weapon from it is in the first picture.
Also awesome it’s available for shards. Most of his cosmetics aren’t.
-
What if Pig brings one of the addons that gives her a extra trap? She had two, maybe three, get this extra trap feature.

Pretty late to the party considering this PTB is about to go live, but is anyone else disappointed with some of these addon changes?
Myers seems relatively untouched, the only thing that really changed was that they killed BK Myers (RIP sweet prince).
Ghostface pretty much got a nerf to his best addons, even if his basekit recovery is OK the majority of his addons are still bad.
Hag got one addon changed, and it was a minor buff. She still has 3/4 terrible Purples, and the one Iri that did get changed is still terrible.
The other addon passes I can kind of understand based on Killer/Addon performance or what they Devs had in mind for them, but these 3 had a really rough time of it. I hope the Devs look them over and give them some much needed love again.

The feedback i've seen is that the problem is, is that none of his add-ons are better than the recovery ones. And if you use his add-ons now the recovery is 1 second longer than before.
They made the perfect adjustment to Ghostface. His problem is that players feel like they have to bring recharge to feel competitive. This gives us flexibility to try other addons without feeling like we were DOA for not bringing chewed pen.

Well with myers
You can now use pink tombstone and vanity mirror in actual normal gameplay
And hey you can get the flower more common
I think Memorial Flower going common was a huge buff. Vanity mirror will probably get just as much play as Scratched now that it’s buffed. I’m excited for the couple of adjustments for Myers.

Myers: eh. not disappointed. just expected tbh.
Spirit: Not disappointed. Confused on MD ring.
Deathslinger: Disappointed.
Blight: It was 1 addon.
Nurse; Simliar to myers. Not disappointed. Just kinda knew that it wasn't gonna be much.
Trapper: Happy.
Ghostface: He literally got nerfed by 1 sec.
Plague: Not sure. It's hard to say.
Oni: 1 addon.
How’d you feel about Hillbilly’s adjustments?

Sadly, there's nothing political about being upset over BHVR associating with a money laundring company that ruins the enviroment.
This is arguing about ethical something or another related to crypto currency. It’s only political. It’s definitely not a discussion about the game. Just a vessel for political arguing like chips are a vessel for guacamole.
This isn’t holding feet to the fire. It’s embarrassing. Y’all are making a bunch of threads like a puffed up pufferfish.
-
Class NFT arguments under political discussion and remove all these threads. Take it somewhere else.
-
I’m looking forward to his addon buffs in a couple of days. Plan on playing him a bunch.

Kate released alongside Clown in Chapter 8.
Leatherface was Chapter 5.5. The Nightmare on Elm street and SAW chapters are between them.
Right. Last one like this was Ash and Ghostface. Ash was considered a Paragraph but I guess they’ve moved on from that terminology.

I’ll be saving this til the nineteenth as well. Add it to the pool of saved stuffs for the new Character
-
- Script Users - Anticheat needs an update. The amount of PC script purchasers has increased exponentially since SBMM. Close the game engine to users ability to write scripts. Let the players who bring perk picture changes be disappointed and close it off. This alone could prevent many of the hacks. I'd also recommend hiring more personnel to review games/players and begin banning the negative parts of the playerbase. I'm tempted to include adding boxes to the player's FOV to prevent stretched res. I think it's a shame that people only feel competitive with these unfair advantages.
- Hook Grabs - I think the two-health-state hook grabs should be removed from the game (obviously, injured players could still be grabbed). I believe killers being able to hook grab a healthy survivor encourages camping. If killer didn't get an insta-down (the hook grab is the equivalent of a chainsaw hit no matter what m1 killer you're playing as), I think many of them would be less inclined to face camp. Even those classic Cannibal killers would be less incentivized since most of them don't revv the chainsaw when survivors approach; they hook grab. Another potential adjustment is just make unhooks take considerably less time. The amount of game delay provided by lazy 'strategies' is I believe an issue in the base game mechanics.
- Hillbilly's current state - I agree with GeneralV. Although I am excited at the buffs Hillbilly's getting in the mid-patch, I would prefer addons without activation requirements and fewer downsides. More fun addons is the path I am wishing for. I have made threads on how his addons could be changed, but glad he's starting to get attention.
Many of the things I felt were issues are supposed to be addressed on 10/19/2021 (Pig addons, Wraith's All Seeing, Trapper base kit, Ghost Face charge time addon requirement, and even Hillbilly's addon buffs). This game has consistently progressed in what I feel has been a great direction. I hope it continues to.
-
Truetalent: The hacker player is the competitive spirit without the skill.
-
Legion. Base kit slowdown (that can be further modified by addons) with effectively a one shot chase ability.
-
I hope they take his addons out of the control of the survivors.
The changes coming with the mid patch, I’m excited for them because it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
Just wish for a few more adjustments to addons. He’s so very close.
-
When there's a cheater in the trial, I just don't play. There's nothing else to do.
-
I’ve definitely had some bad losses on this map but I have won far more than I expected with this maps reputation. The middle roads of the map is a couple of pallets short of a dead zone.
It needs a rework (no doubt) but I try regardless. Would encourage anyone reading this to as well.

Like I said, some windows will let you close the gap. It’s just a matter of knowing which ones.
True. Just want to reiterate this is general advice for new players.

Ignore this guy’s first tip.
Sometimes vaulting a window lets you close the gap if you play it right.
Very few places should a killer vault. I cringe when killers vault T L’s. It’s better to not and learn to play around them, which is the correct move the majority of the time.
-
You get 200 boldness points for starting a chase.
-
The answer is: we don’t know.
-
I think it’s well designed. People with oblivious status end up giving easy hits to an active killer (reason to search out the totem), doing the totem becomes a side objective for the player (and removing dulls prevents the perk from further activation), doing totems deactivates DS (a dilemma), and it encourages hooking multiple players (not camping).
I quite like running it and playing against it.

Considering the cheating is resulting in a lot of 5 minute matches, the devs are getting an ear full from killers complaining the gens are too fast. It's kind of relieving to find out this is why. The cheaters out there are getting bored of being super blatant, so they're being secret jerks about it making people think they just played poorly.
Honestly, I would like some of my offerings back...
This is happening more than people recognized. I remember playing a survivor match that in the chat screen was trying to tell the killer a survivor was cheating, but they never saw it.
The cheating has gone down for me these last couple weeks but right after SBMM was released I had hackers most of my matches. They’d be popping gens behind the scenes and trying to save teammates. Hiding it until their lack of base game skill forced them to dead hard multiple times. Oops. Might as well show off all the scripts now!
A lack of reaction to this will unfortunately hurt this game. It’s a bummer knowing that 1. People are blaming poor games on balance when it’s actually a kid with a script program, and 2. Players ARE recognizing script users and walking away from the game.

Her being a cheap killer was gutted I guess.

Separate original chapter. Most likely available for shards as only licensed characters have been locked.
