have they ever released stats on the lowest kill rate?
Yes, the lowest three on PC were
Plague: 52%
Clown: 50%
And no shocker, Legion: 50%
On consoles, both XBox and PS had Huntress (52%)
Plague(50%)
and Nurse(40%)
No shock there since they all have to aim very precisely for their power to work. Although its odd Nurse got changed to be harder when she's already hard enough on console.
EDIT: Here's the link for the graphs.

In my brain, the survivors as a whole should = a killer.
That's honestly why I want communication to be implimented into the game, so that the game can be balanced around 4 quarters vs one.
Alone, you're very weak, with others you grow in strength.

Likely not, in fact posting about it will likely help get rid of it faster.
I suggest reposting this issue in the feedback forum tho

Honestly. Buff legion or rework legion. #fixlegion
Please be quick with this devs. I know you're gonna knock Spirit into the ground because some lame-o's don't realize people play her all the time because other killers can't compete...
But can ya put that to the side and actually let the other killers... Ya know... COMPETE.
-
In reality it should be 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4 vs 1

@S_Panda said:
Your 2 examples sound like the usual matchmaking, 6 ranks in range of the killer (Excluding the 20 which I hear gets put in matches asap so they can "enjoy" the game rather than queues)
That's still a pretty big margin that's usually saved for longer wait times.
I myself faced ranks up to 4 and as low as 18 in the same game as a rank 11, only waiting 30 at maximum per game.
I dont know about you, but I would persoanlly enjoy a tighter margin.

The causals obviously.
Look at Overwatch, hell better yet loom at fortnite. And those games are actually suited for competitive play, and have huge competitive scenes, but the lifeblood of both are casual. Remind me of the dbd competitive scene is going again?
Meanwhile you have a battlepass and stranger things crossover that did so well it has its own edition, not because the demogorgon is anywhere near the best killer but because it's fan service for casual fans of the game and show
That explains the copious amount of competative Twitch players on both Fortnite and Overwatch, as well as OW's ENTIRE LEAGUE. Believe me, I played my fair share of OW, and that game would NOT survive on casuals alone, even in Quick Play.
Even with Stranger Things release, Dbd never hit over a 25k playerbase (At least on PC). Stranger Things saw an increase to 23,458 players and dipped to 20,384. The Archives and event boosted it up to 22,431 players, and if history repeats itself, will dip once again. The game is gaining more of an audience overtime, even if it is rather inconsistant. But that is because the game is becoming more competitively balanced (give or take).
Compare the game now to what it was a year ago. A casual player isn't going to be active in feedback, trying to improve the game, they're just gonna go to a different game.

The game SHOULD be casual. I agree that spirit doesn't need to be nerf as hard as she's going to be (If the past is anything to go by) but i think this game being "competitive" is what leads to the toxicity and horrible balancing in favor of survivors since they can win more constantly. Compare the number of escaping streams to 4k streaks. I looked on YouTube and only found one at 32 and he didn't count hatch escapes. I seriously doubt anyone has ever got 50 4ks in a row. This is all because survivor is considered the "competitive" aspect of the game
Wrong. A casual playerbase is not a committed one.
Who do you think will play more consistantly? The rank 15 who likes the look of certain characters and is looking forward to other games OR the rank 2 that has menorized every map layout, uses top tier perks they grinded for, and gives plenty of feedback to the devs because they lnow the inner workings of the game better than the devs themselves?

This is not a post about balance. I survive against Spirit, too, but I dont have fun.
Fun is subjective.
Do killers find it fun that they have to deal with jungle gyms, god loops, and Farm maps in general?
Do survivors find it fun that their team falls like flies while they carry the team?

"######### no one asked for."
No dear, it's just ######### you in particular aren't asking for. Plenty of people want her nerfed.
And plenty of people want Legion nerfed.
Just because there's a crowd that wants something doesnt mean they should get it.

@antgnstea said:
It's not about Legion getting a buff or nerf. It's about powers of the killers. If every killer get exposed downs with their powers, they would be too strong. Imagine Huntress getting NOED with hatchets.
There is a reason why perks say with their basic attack. And yes it would be same thing if Legion could have downed with frenzy. In frenzy Legion moves faster can jump over pallets and windows. It would be unfair to other killers and survivors.
With that in mind, doesn't Nurse benefit from blink hits? Spirit with phasing hits? Wraoth with decloak speed boost hits?
Hell, Huntress doesnt even really need Exposed status since Iridescent Head exists.
(Back to Legion) Maybe if the survivors had to be injured and exposed to be downed? And yes, double tapping would work as well since you have to drain your power completely for one down.

They also mentioned that they wanted to do only a "small tweak" to the nurse or that the end game collaps is gonna change EVERYTHING or the Legion rework is gonna make legion really strong etc. You should not believe everything what the devs say^^

They are not ignoring the problem they have a post on this very forum stating the changes coming when dedicated servers are fully implemented and how they plan to change the system so they have been brainstorming a better solution.
The problem was the p2p nature of the game as they couldn't tell exactly why someone dc'd be it the game or them pulling the plug so could lead to false bans which is never a good idea and why the percentage is probably higher than even they would like it to be.
Keywords: "When Dedicated Servers are fully implemented"
Dedicated Servers right now are in no way close to being shipped out. From what we have now, it seems like a years+ worth of work to even consoder implimenting the servers.
If they can't even iron out GF stalk, Wraoth unclean during stun, and Headshot Huntress, how on earth are they going to track survivors for bans?

I'm not the one saying she "does the job well", I'm using the term the devs themselves used. If someone is talking out of ignorance or malice is the OP.
My bad, man!
Although the point still stands to anyone who mixes the two.

@FriendlyGuy said:
It takes skill, but not that much as other killers on red ranks. It's way more difficult to be a good trapper than a good spirit.
Mainly because, at those ranks, survivor usually outweighs killer when it comes to perk economy and usage.
It takes a lot more concentration for a Trapper to do as well as a Nurse or Spirit when the map is the size of Texas, survivors are running Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Borrowed, and DS, and know the maps and loops more than they know their own mother.
High rank play is not too balanced.
-
@White_Owl said:
You designed a killer that performs their job well and thats........bad?
Would you say the same if survivors overperformed in their job? I think not.
Overperforming is bad in a pvp game, which ideally should be as balanced as possible.
"Overperforming" and "Doing the rjob well" are two completely different things.
Mixing them up is either out of ignorance or malice. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it was the first option.
-
With killer, the only way to elimimate stress is to keep a calm mind and play smart. Whether you down the survivor or have to leave them behind, you have to know when to make choices and when things have gone on too long.

Those 3 builds are an effective counter to most any Killer in the game. Not just Spirit, any Killer can be dealt with rather well when you can simply vanish after a window/pallet vault.
But as that build isn't in the "loop as much as possible" or "annoying the Killer" metas, no one wants to bother with it.
I know I love me some Iron Will and Urban Evasion.

"But those are perks and I shouldn't have to switch off the perks I can use to counter the other 16 killers extremely well but don't have as much use against the spirit"
(I know you're joking, I just wanna reply to this XD)
Then stop complaining about Spirit and make a build that beats a majority of the cast. 1/19 games lost.
"But I face Spirit all the time!"
Then change your build.
"....But the 19 othe-"
AAAAGGGHHHHH

she is a dumb killer to go against. just dc.
Nah, I got Iron Will and know my loops around her.

It's only an issue with really BIG Open Maps that gives line of sight to everything, and even then Legion doesnt really care if he's seen.
He likely sees you anyway.
-
For clarity, I personally want NO changes for her. But, if there is a discussion happening, I might as well get my two cents in before ideas circulate that will get her gutted.
-
The premise of the game is great and deserves its audience... Sadly decisions for the game are made poorly.
-
I think we found someone who never touched killer.

@se05239 said:
Nerfing the top killers is the fast way to please the majority of the playerbase.
Personally, I only believe Prayer Beads are an issue with Spirit. That's it. I like playing against them.
Majority or vocal minority?
And even if it is the majority... I dont think it's hard to see who makes up a majority of the playerbase im this 4v1 game
-
Imagine knocking someone's mothod of playing killer when he regularly slaughters teams with said method.
-
These Pre-Legion comparisons are a little hyperbolic, let's be honest.
Pre-gion, when played IMPROPERLY, gave him that annoying feel that you clouldnt escape. Nothing could help you since his power was made for tracking, but used for offense.
Spirit actually LOSES tracking when using her power, and has to depend on survivor voices and scratch marks to track, or make guesses. Now, with that in mind, here are changes I would like to see float around:
Spirit:
When phasing, survivor sounds are omnidirectional, and she has no collision with them.
Prayer Beads:
Moved to Ultra Rare, switching with Father's Glasses. Reduces phasing sound to 5 meters, but slows down phasing travel speed.
-
Jessica Rabbit is shaking in her heels.
-
It doesnt really matter since it will still show you that NOED is triggered.
-

Readies Prayer Beads
My prayer was answered, but not in the way I thought.
-
Because he is here to make you cry. And if you cry over an admittedly lowtier killer, I pray you dont come in contact with Spirit.
-
Saboing is kind of odd since the killers goal is to get to the hook. If there are no hooks, the killer can't do his only job.
It's like if Pop Goes the Weasel didn't break gens by 25%, but completely destroyed them.
Sabo needs to be very carefully looked at or it will really hurt the game.

Could be because of her exclusive lunar event hound mask from early 2018.
It'd look similar.
I always thought that was a fox rather than a wolf. I'm thinkin full on WOLF PELT, eyes gouged out so she can see through the sockets, fresh blood still streaming down her back, even wounds on the pelt to see where her hatchet had landed on the creature.
-
I was mod match as Legion and a "Rank Updating Error" happened and made me lose a pip.
Needless to say I was a little miffed.
-
As Killer: Big maps and/or my Ruin right next to a generator all the way across said big map.
As Survivor: Other survivors who run halfway across the map before they stop so I can heal them (this is why I run Self Care nowadays)
-
Depends if the dude helped me out a lot or not. If we're the final two and I see him on the hatch, I'm gonna try my darndest to give it to him. If he was annoying, I'll be enjoying my Survival points while Struggling.

I was shot and murdered in L4D because I didn't follow precise orders of a Russian kid screaming in his mic.
As absolutely hilarious as that is, the fact you remembered it so vivadly states it's more of a fond memory of a funny moment rather than a constant occurance.

Define how being stealthy or playing as Nea to play effectively is "Toxic" ? is it because you dont have the skill to use your eyes and find other players to down them cause of their model, thus it's "toxic" because you get outplayed or what?
Where did THAT stertotype come from? playing effectively and acomplishing your objective is not toxicity, yet you killer mainsk eep trying to parade around that it is.

Still wouldn't work. I can see people getting sandbagged because they refuse to chat.
That's a little extreme, dont you think?
I've played my fair share of games, and I dont think I've come across anyone, let's say in Overwatch, who wouldn't heal me as Mercy because I wasnt communicating.

@White_Owl said:
Survivors currently have a chat box before and after the match. How many times they used the first to coordinate, tell their perks and define strategies? And how many times they use the second to insult someone or complain or in general to be toxic?
Now apply this to voice chat. Now you should understand.
So nothing will change if VC is implimented?
-
I was playing Huntress versus a pretty well organized team. I didnt get any kills but I did manage to avoid getting blinded by a flashlight!
They were pretty good sports after the game too, wishing me luck and all that.

Oddly fitting

@Bravo0413 said:
Imagine playing the game and then you get in a lobby with a person who's annoying AF, screaming, overall obnoxious because this is DBD and imagine the killer in the voice chat as well some survivors would most likely be annoyingly loud just for the competitive advantage..... I support the devs decision of not including voice chat in game
"Imagine someone is being annoying and nobody has the guts to tell them to shut up or mute them."

The cynic could argue the survs managed to get the the best killer "slightly adjusted" and now go for the next best target.
In reality theres always been people salty at spirit because she's actually invisible and doesnt have to give a headstart, like wraith.
I think people are just salty she doesnt play like a normal killer. The whole "Standstill is not a Mindgame" meme is proof of that.

Jeff and Legion.
Yes, Darkness Among Us was my first DLC purchase when I got the game. Do I regret it? Considering Jeff is my most played survivor and Legion is my most played Killer, both having nearly every perk I have unlocked on rank 3 and even Prestige 1 for Legion, giving me that sexy dripping knife...
...My only regret is not being able to put points into any other character without regretting it. (Excpet Hag, she cool)
