Tell that to the loss of around 4,000 players in the last 30 days.
Shrug.
Look at the trends numbers wise over a few years. You have the massive anniversary spike, then fall-off, then another spike around Halloween, then a fall-off.
This is a game that's pretty old now. It is eventually going to peak and decline no matter what the devs do.
DbD is fine. The sky is not falling.

Pro Vengeance is a Killer main on youtube and he goes on 50-game win streaks on Killers like Clown and Doctor, currently. Prior to SBMM, he won something like 1096 out of 1103 matches. He's hardly the most mechanically skilled Killer, either; he just has gamesense and plays to win. You have those two things, you're going to win 70-90% of your matches. Against solo queue, you'll win upwards of 95% of your matches.
Here's the problem.
After the SBMM system was tweaked, people at the MMR cap will see a much wider variety of opponents. Before the tweak, someone with 8000 hours would have long waits and face only the sweatiest opponents, which led to a lot of complaining by veterans.
Now, after a certain point, someone who plays this game semi-professionally is going to primarily face people they outclass.

Because it...has?

He has. I watched him daily
I've seen him lose occasionally. Maybe...95%, with a ridiculous amount of hours - including games with hackers. That's lower than your 99%. I wouldn't be surprised if you're the best player in the world, as you seem to have found the trick here. Congratulations.

No he doesn't.

Since months I'm not losing at all. I win 99% of the games I play. The 1% losses are when I have a really bad day or play a killer I have no experience with.
Are survivors just all bad now or is the game unbalanced?
99%?
So...you're MMR capped and better than any killer player I've seen, including semi-pros. That's legitimately impressive - do you stream?

Yes. We should be able to turn the animations off.

I heard what I heard but it was awhile ago so I dont remember where it was from. Dont want to take my word for it? Dont. I dont care. Dont believe me? also dont care. Im not trying to convince you of anything. For all we know they backpedaled on it like they do with a bunch of the stuff they talk about. I hope they are working on it still.
Are you sure you're not thinking of the MMR testing and the changes after that? Because those happened a while back.

Empathy is not something I see often. Usually I would settle for aftercare or maybe even inner focus
I find Aftercare to be substantially less useful. Inner focus is...fine, but I find that it does what Empathy does, but worse.
Here are some examples:
- I'm against a Plague or Legion. I have basically complete vision of everyone at all times.
- I don't know where the killer is, then I see someone over the map take a hit and know that I'm safe.
- Someone's in a prolonged chase, and are on their death hook. This allows me to set up a save or intervene for a bodyblock no matter how far they are away.
- Someone escapes a chase injured. I can now locate them at my leisure to heal them.
The big drawback of Inner Focus is that it's radius is a little limited, and it doesn't last very long.

It was a stream earlier this year where they said they were going to integrate how much you contribute to the team into considering the impact on your mmr. So if you carry the whole match and die on first hook saving the team it wouldn't be strictly considered a loss as it is now. Sorry i dont remember which stream but I think it was around the big patch where they reworked a bunch of perks.
This fix would prevent bad teams from holding your mmr down since escaping is a team effort. It would also incentivize more altruistic plays in the endgame.
Looked over the recent streams from this year.
Nothing like this in sight.
What, specifically are you talking about?
A timestamp would be helpful.
NOTE: I'm specifically talking about the 'MMR hell' you claimed they acknowledged and declared were fixing.

Elo hell is real its where a good portion of survivors just dc after their first hook. Good luck surviving in that situation.
That seems to be most areas now. I see it just as much on Otz's streams as I do at my own likely intermediate MMR.
Even if this were true, you'd hit a point where killers are bottom MMR too.

That’s definitely a fair point. My main issue lies in the fact that BHVR were clearly hyping Haddie in the tomes so she could have a big impact in the lore. They then proceed to release her with 3 pretty trash perks and 2 time limited skins alongside 1 locked set.
Why put in all that effort when you do everything to make people not want to play her?
I don't think perks have anything to do with it, especially now where you can unlock them universally.
The only thing that's going to get people to play a survivor is either that survivor being iconic, or having some sort of actual advantage (Ace's noise profile).
There are exceptions, like Mikaela, but she fulfills an iconic archetype in that she's a 'pretty witch'.

Seriously, what is going on. When I play Survivor solo, I get potatoes who don't do gens. When I am Killer I get heavily coordinated Survivors who are always doing gens if I am not chasing them.
The question is. When I play Killer why do I not go against the potatoes I am teamed with as Survivor?
You probably have a high-ish MMR on killer and a low MMR on survivor.
@ArchAbhor said:
You keep "losing" because you keep being paired up with bad teammates. When escaping 100% is a team effort. No matter how good you are if your team cant play right you will lose. Thus giving you more potatoes. Low MMR hell. Luckily the devs have a fix down the pipeline for it.
You keep getting better teams when you play killer because winning is more in your hands. So If you are even remotely good at killer eventually you will reach top mmr and face the sweat squads. It makes the game kind of unfun but once you understand the bs its easier to not get so mad about it.
Its up to the devs to fix it. My suggestion is to make your effort on the team count towards survivors "winning" and raise the soft cap on mmr
What fix...where?
There is no such thing as 'low MMR hell'. Unless the SBMM system breaks down (lobby dodges cause this to happen), you should be getting an opponent that you have a 50% chance of escaping against.

So by now it’s fair to say that Haddie is one of the least played original characters. But why is that you may ask? Well let’s look at Haddie’s short history in the game to see why she’s so unpopular within the community.
Even before her launch Haddie was being teased by BHVR through different tome stories. These tomes depicted different versions of Haddie which was already a pretty big mistake imo. If I liked one interpretation of Haddie and that wasn’t the one we got I’d be pretty disappointed for example. Otherwise it was a great idea to have a survivor being teased in the lore and a survivor who has a closer connection towards the entity.
Then comes Haddie’s launch. She releases with one of the most unique original killers being the dredge and the horribly designed yet cool looking garden of joy. Her three perks Overzealous, Residual manifest and inner focus are all Niche, Underpowered and quite frankly pretty boring perks. Since survivors are bought for only their perks 90% of the time this was already an issue. Dredge became the focus of the chapter as most killers do but to a much greater extent since he was such a departure from the norm
On the cosmetics front she wasn’t much better. She launched with the least cosmetics of any original survivor and still has the lowest to this day. Since her launch she has received 2 cosmetics and both of which have been time limited offers. One was through the anniversary event tome and the other as a prime gaming promotion. Her 1 store skin is a locked set which severely limits her cosmetic variety and potential for cool mixed sets
Now let’s say you’re a new survivor looking at the roster to decide a main. Haddie has the least cosmetics of a original survivor, 3 mediocre perks and a design that appeals to less people than most
So BHVR I only ask please give Haddie the attention she deserves since she’s one of the coolest original survivors you have created!
Sincerly one of the 2 Haddie mains
TL:DR: Haddie’s launch sucked and her future looks about as bright as adam’s or Jonah’s if not worse
Eh.
Here's the thing.
A 'new' survivor doesn't really mean much beyond perks and a new skin. Thus, unless it's an extremely iconic character like Ada or is part of a challenge, people will play them a bit to get their perks/see something new, then go back to the survivor they have all the addons, cosmetics and offerings on.
It's why you see so many Dwights, Megs and Fengs running around and not many Jonahs or Yoichis.

You know fighting games actually have depth and interesting rosters right?
Yes, but what I'm saying is - there is a limitation to that depth based on the game.
Like...I main D'Vorah. But at the end of the day, there's not much difference between her and say, Jax. All that separates them are their moves and a few slightly different numbers.

First off the bat NOT PROMPTING DCING.
So do you wonder why people kill themselves on hook like not trying to give the last person hatch I mean at the start of the game on first hook do you ever wonder why?
It can be them just wanting to get to the next game faster, because they consider the current game a total loss.
It can be straight up BM, as they feel their team sucks or the killer is playing someone they hate etc.
I frigging hate it and wish BHVR tracked this stuff and penalized people who do it excessively, as it's pretty much just DCing with no penalty, but it is what it is.

I have over 1400 hours on this game and honestly you have to be lucky not to have bugs in your game
4/5 times of using dead hard the endurance effect does not work, I have many clips where I'm doing a perfect dead hard but it's just not giving me endurance and I get dropped anyways this is ######### frustrating
I get bugs where I'm stuck in a locker and the killer can't open it, bugs where I get dropped infront of a locker and the killer can't pick me up, bugs where you drop a pallet and the killer still hits you (probably just bad latency issues from your servers) Bugs when you use for the people on a downed teamate while the killer is using mori, bugs when I use specific offerings or items and they I can't use them when ingame,
Just a total garbage game, the more you play the more these bugs becomes obvious and the more it gets frustrating
Just Ircks the ######### out of me when this stuff happens and it's constantly
To ask the obvious question: Why would you put enough time to get a pretty decent diploma into a game you hate?
Otherwise:
- Dead Hard is a bit subject to latency, but it's not that bad.
- Never seen the first locker thing, but yes to the second. These have mostly been fixed though.
- A lot of this is latency, and that's hard to fix because the other side is 'how was that not a hit?'.
- I've literally never seen the other ones, and we've been playing for a similar period.

I dont mean original in terms of licensed or not. I mean how interesting/unique a killer plays.
And well it didnt bother me too much but after seeing what they are capable of with Wesker im really let down with most killers.
IMO the only interesting killers in their roster of 30? are Wesker, twins, nurse, blight and maybe Huntress and billy.
Why do the majority of killers even exist? Whats the point of an insanely boring killer like Freddy? Oh he can put down some snares on the ground that slow survivors down by 1.5% and he can sometimes fake a teleport. Woop de doo! How exciting.
Oh but snares arent all we got we also have trapper, he is super original, this guy can put down traps that trap survivors if they arent careful. And we have Hag this gal can put down traps and teleport to them if survivors arent careful!
And dont get me started on Dredge whom i consider a Sadako rework more than an actual killer in its own right.
Why is the roster this unorignal and boring?
Hmm.
I'd say that there are a lot more idiosyncratic killers than you think.
- Artist is incredibly original with her birds.
- Plague is completely unique.
- Hag plays differently to any other killer.
- Dredge and Onryo share a bit of DNA, but Dredge is fantastic overall. He's got a lot of simple and easy to understand tricks, but you can do all sorts of cool stuff with his remnant.
- Blight and Nurse actually both feel very one dimensional to me, compared to, say, Artist and Dredge.
- Nemesis has a lot of unique quirks.
- Myers may seem simple, but he's actually 3 different killers in one, informed by his addons. Ditto Demogorgon.
I could go on. However...it's like a fighting game. After a certain point, it's difficult to do something completely wacky because the game plays a certain way baseline.

I personally don't care if the killer wants to play for hooks or fun chases, by all means have some fun since you've basically won the game for free.
But it feels like the overwhelming majority of instant dc games end up with tunneling, face camping, and slugging at 5 gens anyway. It's not just 'playing the game', it's like the killer wants solo q to be extra miserable. Do you want 100% SWF games? Cause that's how you get 100% SWF games.
That's not what I generally see. Those games happen, but they are pretty rare.
Think of it this way.
If a survivor DCs, the killer is already losing out on BP and some emblem points.
If they facecamp and/or mass slug on top of this, they're getting less BP and probably depipped themselves. Folks who'll cut off their noses to spite their face definitely exist, but they certainly don't represent the body of killer players.
'Tunneling' is different, as A. This seems to mean something different for every survivor, B. It frequently happens inadvertently, C. It's a lot less effective now and D. Chances are the killer is just trying to wrap the game up fast so everyone can get to a new match and they don't get grizzled at in postgame.

I am trying this one now.
Aura readings for teleport power + some slowdown.
I used to play a 'Battle Dredge', but currently I enjoy:
- Discordance (Legion). Just so good, you'll often know where multiple survivors are.
- Save The Best For Last (Myers). Hopefully the obsession isn't on the ball.
- Call of Brine (Sadako). Good regression, good info. Dredge can get to gens easily. Slight anti-synergy with Discordance, so remember which gens you've COB'd.
- Eruption (Nemesis). See above.
With your perks:
I actually like that build a lot, but I'd drop BBQ for Floods of Rage.

the build that you described is dangerous ONLY if you let her to catch you.. In a certain sense it works like oni: don't get injured and he won't be able to use his power (in that case don't get downed). Regarding the chase aspect her power is awfully weak and need to be buffed properly
Even on a pure M1 killer, that build is a touch of death sometimes. 'Don't get hit' isn't realistic, as - especially now - she is going to catch you eventually.
-
@SuperAggroCrag said:
because BHVR killed pop and ruin so pain resonance is the best gen regression perk now
I'd disagree. PR is strong, but has some major drawbacks.
- You aren't pushing anyone off gens with it, and while that 15% is nice, chances are that the gen is still going to pop.
- Scourge Hooks are very vulnerable to RNG, and if you get all 4 stuck in one corner of Eyrie, and the enemy team is savvy and ensures they never go down there, you're either burning a slot for Agitation or you've wasted a perk.
I like PR on slower killers, or killers where I already have extra work (Hag, Trickster, Trapper, Huntress). I'll generally couple it with Agitation, Gift of Pain and Floods of Rage for maximum effect.
However, I also really like Surge - on instadown killers, it can be incredible, Pentimento+Plaything (you've either got permastealth, or they're taking a huge penalty), Call of Brine (good regression, great info) and Eruption (monstrously good on fast/traversal killers).

I'm curious of other people current survivor builds right now. I sorta want to try new things
Honestly, my go to is:
- Lithe. It's always been my favorite Ex. perk, as nobody expects it on survivors that aren't Feng. Can buy you so much time at crucial moments in chase, and doesn't have the drawbacks of SB.
- Windows of Opportunity. It has a stigma as a 'noob' perk, but this saves my bacon at least once a game. It's so, so nice to be able to see which pallets are still usable, or which windows are open.
- Circle of Healing. Self Care is now a noob trap. This allows me to heal myself, heal others at lightning speed and distract the killer. If I've got a Medkit, I'll run Built to Last or Kindred instead.
- Empathy. People sleep on this perk way too hard. It can tell you where the killer is, where someone who needs a heal is, what pallets are being dropped etc.
- Off The Record. Incredible anti-tunnel tool, gives you a lot of peace of mind. It lasts forever. I don't run this anymore, as I'm not seeing anywhere near as much tunneling as I used to.

Nerf being a meme comment.
Seriously though is she just really annoying to verse as a survivor?
I have been getting destroyed on most killers, got her as a daily and have noticed people play very different vs her compared to others.
Is playing lesser used killers a good idea because survivors dont know what to do as much, or is it something else?
Match was one after another ( same map - no offerings ! )
ORRRRRR
Is this something else entirely and people are trying to play around perks, and that is messing them up? What a meta shakeup that would be haha
I'm not a fan of her kit overall (her Ambush is mostly useless outside of her mediocre Iri) and requires too many addons to be relevant.
Her traps...ugh. I hate 'RNG'd to death' mechanics, especially when they are an instant mori.
That said, no, she absolutely does not need a nerf. I'd like a rework, to shift more of her power into her Ambush and away from traps, but balance wise - she's completely fine.

Hello DBD community.
I wanted to get the thoughts and feedback of players regarding the ol' "Depip", especially now that Ranks have been reworked into Grades. For those unaware, if you don't fulfil a certain amount of emblems in a match, you will be given a 'depip' or a -1 to your current grade pips.
When ranks were used for matchmaking, this somewhat made more sense. If you did badly in a match, you would go down and be matched with lower ranked players. Now that this system is solely used for Grades and therefore bloodpoint rewards each month, I was wondering if this depipping design was still necessary.
In my opinion, whilst it's not a common or even likely scenario to depip, it is still possible and can sometimes make a bad match feel even worse. For example, if you are a survivor who's been caught first and camped to death, you can depip. If you're practicing a new killer and you've had some bad RNG, or only have a single perk, you could depip. This can add salt to a wound, and whilst you can no longer dip below a grade once you've achieved it, it's still a sting to be 1 pip away from Gold 1 and then see yourself be 2 pips away.
I've considered that the depipping system encourages players to make sure they're trying each match and making sure they're trying to win, and whilst this may be true, I wonder if the benefits of that outweigh the negatives of the scenarios above (i.e. being camped to death), as these players would now just safety pip if such a system existed.
Likewise, depipping could solely be reserved for those who disconnect as an added incentive not to.
Regardless, I wanted to see people's thoughts on whether depipping through normal gameplay should still be a thing or if removing this and making safety pipping the lowest you can get is a more beneficial system in the end. Both sides have negatives/positives.
I think it's okay on killer. It's very hard to depip before Iri, and even then I can usually safety off 1k.
On survivor, absolutely. It's way too easy to depip/too hard to pip, and frequently feels completely outside of your control sometimes.
Facing Twins? Get a camper? Get a DC? Get a knockout slugger? Good luck pipping.

If 3 gen is your thing it's kinda gross honestly. I've personally subbed out Discord Ants for Call of Brian and haven't really looked back.
On a map like Lerys you can really feel the zombie pressure as theyll hang around the 3 gen. Perfect for the War of Attrition when survivors stop fearing you and will gen tap the millisecond you go to the next gen
I won't deliberately 3gen unless the game is gross already, but you'd be surprised at how often even fairly experienced teams do it to themselves (and then give me an earful in postgame).
DDS is the map where zombies tend to do really crazy stuff - my favorite moment where the same zombie hit one survivor, dropped down and then downed the survivor I was chasing. POG zombo.

If I play killer I barely bring it because of the fact once people realize you constantly go after Scourge hooks they'll just Sabo it and will keep Saboing it even if you drop the survivor to wait for the hook to respawn. Why rely on Scourge hooks when you can use other hooks.
I rely on them on 110 killers, as having to hoof it over to kick a gen wastes a lot of valuable time.
I use Surge on instadown killers and generally CoB or Penti on others.

Second, she needs to have this feature addressed before any buff.
Or how about we buff her and fix this feature?
Yes, Pig is a good example of why this is needed, otherwise you reduce a bottom tier killer to near unplayable status.

Because it...sort of is.
She feels like an early beta version of Dredge.
Without this strategy, unless you're on a very small map, Condemn may as well be meaningless.
She's also the only remaining killer with a mandatory brown addon.

Killer should go easy and maybe do bit of farming in this situation if there are cakes or party streamers so everyone can get some bloodpoints and it's good opportunity for killer to max out all bp categories. It's fair to kill everyone after that or give one hatch though. Some killers just hard tunnel one out in that situation well that is unfair but then better just move to next game.
I had a game a few months back (even made a thread with postgame comments), where I'd brought streamers and another survivor had brought one of those cakes from last anni.
They had a DC on The Game, on an early first down.
I decided 'okay, let me ease up and make sure they get some BP out of this, ditto myself'. Didn't AFK, but I'd injure and then drop chase.
After about 5 minutes, another survivor DC'd, I killed the third one and gave the 4th hatch.
Postgame I got cussed out massively. 'Just end'. 'Everyone report for taking game hostage'.
It's a lose/lose, I swear.

Yeah, Loud Noise Notifications will attract zombies. This includes perks like Tinkerer, Discordance or Call of Brine.

I literally never thought about Call of Brine. Going to be trying that tomorrow.

Does discordance really attract zombies? do you know how the actual mechanics of that actually work?
Note: genuine curiosity as I've not heard of this before, my text may seem like I'm calling you out which is not the case
Yes it does, as it produces a loud noise notification. I've tested it personally.
Another great combination is Plaything+Retribution, as the sound of people doing totems also attracts zombos.
Ink Ribbon+Yellow Wristband, Discordance, Plaything, Retribution, Pentimento. It's...honestly scary to play against, especially on smaller maps.

Can be original or licensed, you pick the killer, survivor(s), legendaries, etc
For me it would absolutely be a second Stranger Things chapter. Robin and Hopper as survivors, Eddie and Joyce legendaries for Nancy and Steve, Vecna killer. Hopper's perks would be based around how he is DBD's "tank", so to speak, and Robin's would be based around her intelligence.
Killer: a gigantic spoopy spider that can drop down on top of gens. Stealthy. Can lay egg sacs that release small spiders that crawl up people's screens.
Survivor: Uh.

I try it all the time, almost always get a knife to the chest in answer. :(
But then again I respect that they might want more of a serious game in between getting boops :)
One time I got away with it was with a Pig who seemed a bit confused by me and my friends trying for boops after our teammates died. She retreated and hid the rest of the game after we booped her ? I hope she wasn't new and thought we were trying to be mean...
Ugh. This meme. It was fun once.
The problem is that, whilst I'll always give a booper hatch or something, or let them get away if the game is already in the bag, people love to do this during your first chase, then DC/cuss you out in postgame because 'sweaty try hard'.

I was playing Clown and there was a lot of ggs, especially when I got 0k. I switch to Plague then 4k 20 matches in a row and not a single gg. Very strange.
I say 'GG' when it's been a good game, win or lose.
I don't say GG on a blowout, I'll probably say something like 'well tried' or 'that game was cursed'.

As expected… all replies basically saying “I’m allowed to do it and don’t want to waste my time”. No one admits its not sportsmanlike. No one cares about the other 3 players who get screwed. Just selfish people who won’t take responsibility…
And you don’t have to stand around while people do gens… you can down them, hook them, kick gens, do whatever… just don’t slaughter them before they have a chance to do anything.
I think I’m done with this forum for awhile…
No, the replies are saying:
- Why are killers expected to show 'mercy' for survivors, when survivors are never expected to do the same?
- Not all survivors want to farm, many just want to move on to the next game. How the hell is the killer supposed to know what you want?

It's not sadism to let people play the game, albeit in a way that will ultimately fail. Leaving them slugged for 4 minutes is sadistic and is contributing to survivors just dc'ing out of games. They don't dc because they are having fun....
Why are you trying to shift this to 'slugging people at 5 gens'?
This isn't a thread about people being BM. This is about the OP's demands that killers ease up on teams when someone DCs.
If this isn't a Motte/Bailey attempt, why not make your own thread about this?
The motte-and-bailey fallacy (named after the motte-and-bailey castle) is a form of argument and an informal fallacy where an arguer conflates two positions that share similarities, one modest and easy to defend (the "motte") and one much more controversial and harder to defend (the "bailey").[1] The arguer advances the controversial position, but when challenged, they insist that they are only… -

It's true...but the current game state is pretty broken. When survivors don't have any hope of a fun engaging match...ever, why would they continue to log in. Now this isn't a problem for killers to solve, it's behaviors disastrous last few updates plus some underlying base game problems. But killers can help the experience without going full farm. Maybe stop slugging at 5 gens...maybe tunnel a bit less when there has been a dc. Again, no obligation... but the game only works when everyone is playing and having fun.
Shrug.
I joined when this game was extremely survivor sided.
Now the game is fairly balanced (killer versus SWF) or a bit killer sided (killer versus solo) depending on how survivors approach things.
I think, between the time I started playing (early 2020) to now, I've had a total of 2 survivors give me a kill on a blowout game.
I started learning survivor last year. I'd say I've seen maybe 500, likely more killers in that time give someone hatch or a gate.
What I'm saying is:
- 'Killers' aren't a monolith. There are some mean ones and some nice ones. Ditto survivors.
- By the numbers (and I'm sure anyone who plays both roles will back me up on this), you are more likely to be shown mercy by a killer than a survivor, even though there will be 4 survivors to every killer.
- Many survivors expect to be let go if they're the last survivor - again, I'm sure any killer player will confirm how often we get BM in postgame if we don't give hatch. However, on games where all survivors escape, there isn't even a consideration of giving them a charity kill.
It seems that there's a double standard here, where killers are expected to abide by unwritten rules of sportsmanship that survivors aren't. Why?

First of all, ever since I installed the game, I've been playing survivor with at most 4 killer games in my whole dbd career. As survivor I've seen bad killers get away with 3k or even 4k and it has always felt unfair.
Yesterday I bought the Artist and today I tried her out. I only had 1 perk slot available on my first game and somehow I got 3k. Maybe I'm playing a strong killer? I just like that her ability let's me detect survivors since atm I don't have any aura reading skills unlocked. One of them was a prestige 7 Leon (but it is Leon after all and we know what Leon does). Afterwards I got only 1k and could have possibly gotten two or more in endgame if I had realized my hook was gone from my kill. And then I got another game with a relatively more co-ordinated team maybe they were 3 man sfw, idk. I just got into the lobby while all three of them were on. And I got some hooks on them. I played bad and I was pretty laggy,I'd get stuck on walls or rocks and stuff. And I feel if I was less laggy I could have done better and maybe got away with a kill or two.
And the last game I played, also really laggy. I got a hook before the end of the last gen pops, so I decide to camp and I have NOED to see how well it delivers. Needless to say I got away with 3k because people were trying to rescue the hooked person.
So I'm asking you, why can I get away with this having played only 4 games of killer this season?
And as a survivor I have to try a lot harder? Obviously I'm much better at survivor than at killer.
- It appears that there is some sort of MMR decay. I'm 90% sure, because I took a few months off (was facing quite challenging opponents), then I came back and melted faces for about 10 matches.
- Sometimes you'll get easy matches as survivor. Sometimes you'll get easy matches as killer. Both roles can be demanding in their own way.
- Survivor is a team role. If you choose to do this role without the ability to coordinate (ie. not an SWF) you will have a sub-optimal experience. Unfortunately, it's impossible to balance survivors around both solo and SWF.

BHVR and Killer consider it totally sportsmanlike and fair. Game isn’t broken at all.
Okay. Story time.
I used to ease up on a DC team, to give them a chance to farm and pip.
When I did, I got survivors threatening to report me for 'taking the game hostage' and cussing me out for not immediately ending the game.
When I didn't, I got cussed out for being nasty and not giving them a chance.
Sometimes, you just can't win.

There’s a VERY SMALL % of killers that will farm in this situation. I’m referring to the VAST MAJORITY of games that happen all day long.
I used to let people farm.
I'd say maybe 1 in 5 teams will DC themselves, or be obnoxious in post game - because *not everyone wants to farm*.
How is the killer supposed to know whether you want to farm or not?

No. You prove that it’s sportsmanlike to destroy a 3 man team.
Is it not equally BM to trap survivors in a game they don't want to be in for longer, and force them to DC?
Tell me - what exactly is the correct response here?

Pro comps don't bring it, at least those i watch in tournaments. And even if they do, they probably do it to see the killer's aura.
But they definitely don't need it to organize who goes for a save.
Basekit Kindred without the killer aura showing is a fair buff to narrow the gap with SWF which already have this info without the perk.
As along as we deny any QoL buffs to SoloQ, Killer buffs will always be limited.
Yes.
I've seen it in tourney comps, but I'm talking more about semi-pro stuff like HCS.
But people in this thread are demanding that it be added, aura intact. Which is what I was responding to.

No it does not buff swf.
Yes, it absolutely does. Which is why organized, high MMR SWF teams regularly bring Kindred.

When i see good SWFs or high MMR Teams, i actually dont see it much.
Go watch the recent HCS! event. I think every single organized team had Kindred+Open Handed, as it's basically wallhacks.

4 stack SWF already knows who is gonna safe and where the killer is. So, no, it doesnt buff SWF's. Cause they already have that.
Stop acting like SWF's are so hardcore that the whole Solo Q needs to suffer. They already said that sweaty 4 man SWF's in high MMR are just a low percentage.
And yet - plenty of HCS groups and high MMR SWFs run Kindred.
Why?
Because, especially on indoors maps, the ability to see the killer's aura is insanely powerful.

Survivors should have Camaraderie as a basekit and Kindred.
The devs are nerfing the crap out of Survivor perks, but giving them MUCH NEEDED AND LONG OVERDUE basekit changes.
Here's to hoping in 2023!
Nerfing the crap out of...what, exactly?
Dead Hard needed a tweak, because something like 75% of higher MMR survivors were running it. It's still a bloody good perk.
You also got/are getting:
Baseline BT.
A buff to baseline BT.
Baseline UB.
