Alf was on the best team in competitive (Oracle) for a bit. He was their backup Nurse. If you had an NBA player play 500 random basketball players with college experience or even low level pro experience in a game of 1 on 1, the NBA player would win 500 times because they're in the top 0.01% skill bracket. Alf actually had closer to a 50% win rate in comp when he was facing survivors at his skill level. It is highly likely given the way matchmaking in DbD works at the softcaps that he encountered survivors anywhere close to his skill level a few times in that 500 win streak.

There is no DbD equivalent of Overwatch's GM or Top 500 for matchmaking. It essentially throws Plat/Diamond-top 500 in the same bracket.

I'm 130+ with a mid tier killer right now. I think if I played nurse, I would be super embarrassed if I didn't have a 500 win streak.

Facts. It's honestly not that difficult to get very high win rate as killer.

I'm on a 78 game win streak right now with a mid-tier killer. Prior to that, I had 1 tie on one of the most survivor-sided maps, then another 50+ wins on the other side. 99%+ for mid-tier. Drops to 95%ish for trash-tier killers for me, but I've only been playing about 1.5 years. Still a noob. :(

Can't wait to see the results of this tournament coming up.

  • All the top players have 99% win rates. Nothing unbelievable about it. Only for casuals who idolize Otzdarva.

  • Eruption, Call of Brine, Overcharge, No Way Out.

When i saw this post i showed it to my boyfriend cause i thought it was hilarious how absolutely bad that killer is, and what do you know he went against him yesterday with his friends lol. He got completely destroyed by them, 3 gens popped on his first hook, and then they got the other 2 really quickly as well, since clown was getting destroyed he started slugging and the only reason he got a 3k was cause my bfs friends weren't running unbreakable. And after facecamping, slugging and hitting, clown still complained calling unbreakable a cancer and calling them sweaty when all they did was spread their repairs while he camped to counter deadlock lol that add on should make it so he can only have 1 bottle at a time. All pink add ons need a negative side effect. That dude is extremely toxic and when survivors do good he gets mad and even calls them cheaters at times, BHVR should look into this imo.

How does a killer get outplayed and destroyed yet 3K? That's called a win. I watched all those games from yesterday. There were a couple games where the team got an unhook and prolonged the game because he was blasting eggman music the whole time and spamming m1 hitting the hook. I'm guessing you must be talking about one of these few games where all the gens were finished and he picked everyone off while no way out blocked the exits. Your boyfriend's SWF got wrecked on one of the most survivor sided maps while Pro was meming. That's the fact of the matter. And since you don't know, pinky finger already has a negative side effect. It reduces your bottle count by 2.

He sometimes questions if players are cheating because of the high number of cheaters in the game. If someone is always making the right calls on 50/50s, you can't help but wonder if they are using wall hacks.

This guy is the saltiest Killer main out there. Nothing but negativity. And the fact that he got exiled from twitch (😆😆😆) didn't really help his mental health.

A large percent of DBD players have mental health issues. Nothing to laugh or make fun of someone about. People don't end up like this by choice.

If you're somewhat decent and play as sweaty as possible on killer, you'll win 99% of the time. The game isn't balanced around good killers. It's balanced around absolute average ones.

Also, I've played against Pro before, and I don't know if he's playing on dial up or what, but it's hard to loop a killer that hits you from halfway down a C wall. I thought I was playing against someone from Asia on a VPN

I do get annoyed by pubstompers like him though. Gets by simply by trying harder than any of his opponents. Would get 2 or 3 staged at best by any comp team.

I've watched every video he has uploaded for the last 1.5+ years. I have seen his internet go down, but I've never seen anything like you're describing. He usually has a really low ping. I've also seen him stomp comp teams.

Even though this is mainly about how strong facecamping is. The fact that clown's pinky finger comes with no negative effects is something though. Huntress gets a negative effect if she brings her iri hatchets. Yet clown gets nothing negative about his iri. But no argument that add-on less clown is among the weaker killers.

Pinky finger has no negative side effects? Have you ever played clown before?

Who are the people doing this? Where I can I find them?

Otz isn't the best killer I've seen, but I am not seeing anyone do what you are describing other than absolutely cracked Nurse mains.

Pro Vengeance went on an 800+ game win streak with variety killer. Last time I was watching him, he was trying a nemesis streak. Looks like he lost it at game 188. He is at 112 wins in a row with leatherface right now. Looks like he went on a 109 game win streak with Wesker when Otz was struggling to reach 30.

I've played less than 2 years and am not as good as many people. I know there are TONS of people a lot better than me. But I've won 109 out of the last 115 (vs non-cheaters) using low and mid-tier killers (95%). So it seems really odd when everyone thinks 76% is super good. It's not.

  • Played 4 games tonight. 4 games with cheaters.

Just to clarify, the figure stated in the summary is his average win rate (percent of games he gets a 3k/4k); his average kill rate over the same time period is 3.048/4 = 76.2%. As you said, devs have noted an average kill rate of 61% according to their stats, so Otz is sitting comfortably above the average. Now whether it is impressive or not, is up to personal opinion. I personally think it's quite an impressive feat to maintain that high a "win rate" on most killers (shown in slide 12).

Just think about how bad the average player is. Otz is definitely above average, as the numbers show, but his stats are not impressive when others go on 100-200 game win streaks with mid-tier killers (which would be over 99% win rate). There are people who are just way better. If you play variety killer and can get 175 wins in a row with nemesis and then go on a 100 game win streak with legion then do 200 games with Bubba under the current mmr, I would say that's top class. People just watch popular streamers like Otz and don't understand there are levels to this.

At high MMR, when every survivor team you face is Seal Team Six no less…

High MMR is a myth. It's just essentially like red ranks in the old ranking system. Strong players get paired with just about everyone aside from the very new players.

The strongest players are winning 90-95% of their matches playing weak killers and 99%+ of their matches with strong killers.

  • Otz mediocre killer confirmed.

  • I've played 5 games tonight. 4 games had cheaters. One of them had two cheaters. Out of control. Well, time to go to bed.

  • This allows me to dodge cheaters when I keep getting paired with them.

  • Anyone know why you can't click on the killer's name and see their steam profile anymore? I guess that was changed this last patch?

  • I ran into a number of new cheats this weekend I had never seen before. One match had a survivor who had a very fast medium vault. Had another wiggle out after 3 wiggles. He said Meg was cheating with a breakout effect (perk wasn't equipped). Not sure which of them was cheating.

Saw a few gens auto completed without proccing tinkerer and one who finished a gen 1 second after tinkerer procced even tho she was alone on the gen with no toolbox, but that's nothing new. I also sometimes hear the stagger grunt from a survivor falling when I'm like in the middle of nowhere. I can only assume the survivors are flying or something.

Well, it made the Devs feel good about themselves, and that is kind of the whole piint of virtue signalling. Same thing with making David gay. How has it changed the game in any way? It hasn't, but the Devs can now pat themselves on the back.

At least now when I tunnel Davids for being annoying scabs I can look forward to being called a bigot.

We get harassed and death wishes in after game chat for years, but if a small, very vocal group complains that a Bubba facecamped their Claudette, then everyone must have their cosmetics taken. I'm sure part of it is a PR thing.

  • Agreed. It is super loud and drowns out the sounds of people you are trying to follow.

  • Should we be reporting this? It happens all the time. It has happened three times today so far. Feels like it should be punishable like any other exploit.

" only had exit gates opened 2 out of the first 50 games" - holy .... I'm speachless.... I didn't know that was still a thing. That just can't be very healthy for the game. Press F to pay respects to SBMM.

Yeah, seems WAY chiller now on average. I main a bottom-tier killer, too. If you play really late at night, you can still get some tough matches. Probably lots of cheaters, too. But most of the time, it's not anywhere close to as bad as before.

Props to the devs for making some positive changes to SBMM. The game is much more enjoyable for me to play again.

  • Like others have said, this doesn't look like cheating, but there are sometimes players who have the globe next to their name who are cheating. I would guess they are Epic Store players?

  • I wonder if they rolled back people's ratings or implemented rating decay. I haven't played in maybe 3 months, came back for Legion and SBMM changes, and only had exit gates opened 2 out of the first 50 games. When I played late last night and today, I had so many super tough matches.

Edit: Games have gone back to being easy overall. I think there may be more very strong survivors on average late at night (and cheaters).
