Most people tend to go to forums to vent after having rough matches.
And then you have a bunch of people who are frustrated fueling eachother.
Sometimes merited, sometimes not.
Most of the time forums are a vocal minority and don't really represent what people really think about the game or whatever topic.

Does play with your food work while you are in Feral Frenzy? Speed Ad-ons?
Legion doesn't have speed addons anymore but Play with your food does effect Feral Frenzy. Just know that attacking will still lose you stacks.
It actually works better then usual on Legion's FF cause Fun fact: Legion is special where their power doesn't add a boost to their movement speed but sets their base movement speed higher. It's a barely noticeble difference but it is a difference.
According to the wiki anyway. Instead of the normal 0.23 m/s you get 0.26 m/s per token while in Frenzy

If you cancel your Feral Frenzy in the good place in the right timing they have no time to run.
And yes its very good at early game for easy down, nobody expect it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2585180#Comment_2585180
I I think it depends on the maps, but Blood Echos is good on small ones.
Do you have any underrated perks to suggest me ? I want to try new ones.
Play with your food is actually lowkey pretty good on Legion.
even 1 token makes a big difference and most of the time everyone wanting to stay injured can quickly make things go out of control.
It takes a bit getting used to getting the most of it but once you do it really helps the Legions weakness of downing people and can't be removed like blood favour.
It's not the best perk on Legion but it works surprisingly well on them. Also zooming around is just fun
-
@Beaburd said:
I tried blood favour a few times on legion, I liked it at first but then people started running from the tiles that get blocked off. I ended up dropping it because it started to do less and less the more people faced it.
Then I realized Legion's cooldown after exiting their power is 4 seconds. Survivors run 4m/s, so that means they can get 16m away from you after a frenzy hit. Therefore it will take you, if they run in a perfectly straight line, ~27 seconds to catch up to them again (16 / [4.6 - 4.0]). That's longer than blood favor lasts, and is more than enough time to get to a new set of tiles anyway.
TLDR:
Blood favor is decent, but if survivors know to run to another tile it does literally nothing. Use with caution, decent for a surprise down early though if they're not attentive.
Do note that you are not standing still while in Feral Fatigue.
The survivors only make 8m of distance or 13.33 seconds
But yeah if survivors can run in a straight line blood favor doesn't work so well.
You really need to be mindfull of pushing them to the corner of the map where they can't do that to use blood favor well.
Or have a multi floor map, that works pretty well too
-
Yeah I really hope they don't nerf them too fast and actually give the killer players the chance to learn bone locations and stuff.
For me facing survivor perks that actually have a cost with them and not being given for free is a godsent.
As someone who mostly plays killer I really don't want to see these perks to go to the evergrowing pile of never used perks the survivors have.

DC Penalty is not a ban. Its a temporary suspension to prevent repeated DC abuse.
That has been discontinued now for a bit, due to the game itself causing DCs until they fix it.
Nowhere have I seen any evidence that a "hacker" can brick a PS5 through DBD, much less a PC.
You are the one throwing around serious terms like "victim blaming" and making implicative accusations of others based on facts you dont know about. We also dont know your intentions either, but it seems that you are just trying to pick a fight over nothing, and jumping onto somekind of gangwagon.
Please stop, and get your facts straight first.
I know DC penalties are not a ban. It's irrelivant to what this post is about.
I haven't seen evidence either but we have someone here who's PS5 stopped working after facing one. It could be unrelated but those things aren't cheap so it should be looked into.
And not just brushed away cause he could have DCed. That's not a solution
My intention was to explain why people were bumping heads with them without the use of petty namecalling like the others did.
Not sure how you thought i was speaking fighting words when i even said it probably wasen't their intention.
Not sure what kind of accutations you are talking about either. The only accutations made was that they missed the point of the post and worded their response somewhat poorly. That's not what i would call picking a fight.
Nor do i see any facts i could be missing. This post is here for everybody to read.

Smashing pumpkins is fun and i've had a couple of times where the speedboost allowed me to get a hit i normally couldn't.
The blight serum addon is just fun as well so glad i can use it again.
Other then that it's nothing tooo special but imo it doesn't really need to be.
My only complaint would be that the seeds are a bit too rare. I generally need to go through multiple bloodwebs to get a couple and especially if you play multiple characters it can get a bit annoying

he can't really afford to ignore someone all game unless you're cracked out of your mind.
This struck me as odd. I always try to ignore one person no matter the perks i run. I would argue that spreading your attention to all survivors is delaying your first kill way to much and will really bite you against time efficient survivors.
Other then that I do agree stbfl is slightly overrated. The thing is that it's just a fun perk to run. Getting stacks is a mini game in itself and the faster cooldown is just pleasing to look at

I love when you people "try" to justify the boons are only survivors time wasters but never talk about the other side the killers.
Using your example your suvivor has used about 20 seconds of its time to find and bless the totem, good.
Lets play two scenarios here:
Killer its unaware of the position of the survivor and the totem, after a failled chase it imediatly notices the survivor healing at an abnormal speed wich makes it tink theres a healing totem nearby, lets say this is a quick chase and takes about 20 seconds. Then killer decides its a bad idea to leave the totem around and goes to search for it, for the sake of the argument it takes him about 15 seconds to find and snuff it out. Killer has spent 35 seconds on all this, and im being generous, those are 35 seconds the other 3 survivors have had free reing to do watever they want. Generators without perfect skill checks and tool takes about 80 seconds to be done from new fully repaired, so basically those are 3 generators that are half repaired. But wait, now lets add items and perks, in an optimal scenario those 3 very same generators most likely will be at 75% repair if not almost fully repaired...so mind telling me how the time wasted by 1 survivor its equally as valuable as the time wasted by a killer?, the anwer it isnt.
The same can be applied to scenario were the killer its imediatly aware of the totem, the only diference is that on this scenario lets cut those 35 seconds to say 15, altought those 20 seconds do make a diference on the other 3 survivors its still a situation where the killer its loosing valuable time snuffing out something that will easily be reapplied at another place with little problem.
Now heres the fun thing, in team compositions this boons are far, far FAR from useless.
I got on a game yesterday with what clearly was a team of at least 3 people. About 2 minutes from the start of the game i was unable to track down the survivors anymore, guess what boon they where using. By pure luck i found one of them moving aorund, wich in retrospective probably was there to distract me. The boon already made it hard to track and find, it was by pure luck i saw it and managed to snuff it out. The survivor imediatly vaulted away. Guess what they had already set up on a diferent area, yes another one. Tracking them became almost imposible. By this point they already had 2 gens completed and i was guessing they had already a few worked on. That game became a 3 hooks for me and those where by pure absolute luck with a full escape with ALL gens repaired. The game was indeed a bit longer, but the beneffits where obvious.
Boons are a tame waster for killers that just make things frustrating and overcomplicated. Im a pyramid head killer so i have a few tools that make my life easier, but i cant imagine how frustrating this will be for M1 killers agains healing boons when they are back or killers without tracking perks (like me wich i started playing not to long ago so im still using the basic ones).
Boons need a rework, they arent balanced at all
And that's probably why i don't have issus with boons.
I don't stop and drop everything i'm doing to find it. I have a general idea of where totems spawn so it really doesn't take a lot of time to just go near totem spots and listen for the sound queue.
In my experience boons have not been a problem. Not on the ptb and not now. I have never had a match nor have i seen a match outside of one scratched mirror myers where boons were so oppressive they won the survivors there game.
They are strong when used right. I'm not calling them weak. But there is a big difference between strong and not balanced at all.
I would take boons over the preboon meta every time. Atleast the survivors actually have a cost to pay for them

Zero cost?
Costs two perk slots minimum.
I mentioned that in the same sentence
-
Old Undying had a chance to make people cleanse 5 totems of a map wide powerfull effect with zero cost to the killer outside of the perk slots.
Boon totems have a set radius and need 14 seconds + travel time to set up first and then again each time they are snuffed.
If that travel time is 6 seconds you just got a pop for free. Realistically speaking the travel time will be much more then 6 seconds.
If you as a killer snuff 5 boons then the survivors could have done 87,5% of a gen instead. Not counting travel time so you can most likely double that.
The comparrison really doesn't make sense

We see and treat them as completely different people.

Another big difference between billy and the top killers is their freedom of movement of attack.
Nurse, spirit and hag can adjust their attack based on what the survivors do.
Oni and blight can pull of some flicks no matter how long they have been sprinting
With Billy outside of the first fraction of a second your chainsaw is pretty much a straight line in short distances.
The smallest sidestep of the survivor is enough to make you miss

I've seen this argument every time. Guess what, there's 4 Survivors in a Trial. If one blesses a Totem, everyone gets the benefit. Sure, 1 person isn't on a gen but they're using their time to save their team later on
Unless you are able to snuff it before they can get vallue of it. Then that survivor wasted time for nothing.
You are only seeing the absolute best case scenario and ignoring all the downsides of boons
From my experience playing against them and watching streamers they are strong when used right but straight up detrimental if the killer gets on top of it soon enough
The fact that there actually is a time cost with boons already makes them so much more healthy then all the other meta perks survivors get to activate for free.
-
Reblessing a boon takes time.
14 seconds+ whatever travel time.
Let's say it takes 6 seconds to find a totem, go to said totem and go back to your gen. Which is really unrealistically low but for example sake.
Then the survivor spend 20 seconds or 25% of a gen to activate their perks that the killer can negate in 2 seconds.
That's bassically a free pop goes the weasel the survivor gave to you just to use their perks. And again that's assuming a real low amount of travel time. In reality it's a lot more.
Sorry but if survivors are able to waste their time relighting boon totems over and over again and still escape then you were outmatched and would have lost without the boon totems too, only faster.
-
If i see nothing but the new survivor I'm running a full hex build with toth.
It's 48 seconds uninterrupted to bless a hex with toth up
By the time they get through the hexes they are long dead with most generators still up.
-
I hope so too.
That chase music is amazing

A boycot was never the right call anyway.
Trying to screw people's job just because their boss has choose to work with planet destroying companies isn't really right.
Mc. Lean, a developer that recently left made it pretty clear that most employees did not know about this.
So if we were going to boycot bhvr a lot more innocent people were getting punished then guilty ones.
The ones who made that deal would live comfortable lives if dbd would die the next day with how much they already made.
The employees not so much. But people didn't think of that.

The problem is thanks to BHVRs idiotic concept of sbmm you can 4k against babies and the game will consider it just as good as beating literal gods. A few easy games and you're straight back to struggling for every hit.
This is false.
The lower the mmr of the survivors you beat the lower mmr you gain from beating them and vica versa.
Mmr is an indication of what your opponents skill should be. If you are using the best of the best perks then it will eventually give you survivors that can deal with them.
And if you let yourself be carried by those perks then yes you are going to have a bad time without them.
Try playing perkless for a while. Expect to lose the first few matches but afterwards it will make you a lot better and less reliant on said perks
-
Boon: YES-ED (Yeah, Every Survivor Escapes Death)
Once the exit gates are powered and there is at least one dull totem remaining in the environment, Boon: Yeah, Every Survivor Escapes Death activates and lights its Totem.
Survivors inside the boon's area when it activates instantly gain a healthstate.
Aditionally if a survivor would go from healthy to the dying state while within the area they enter deep wound instead
-
At first i wasen't going to spend money on the game anymore but I've abandoned that idea.
Mc. Lean reaction made it pretty clear that most employees at bhvr did not know about this.
And i don't feel it's right to screw with peoples job just because their boss is a moralless jerk

You have that reversed. Campers would get less hooks not more.
@D3spair said:
I stand by Tru3Talent suggestion that the game should be balanced by number of Hooks instead of Kills.
Balancing around hooks would be good but the matchmaking really shouldn't resolve around that.
If it did then a killer could get 3 kills with 3 hooks and go down in mmr. Meaning he faces less experienced survivors which means their camping is going to pay off even more.
Eventually you'll have a low mmr where it's infested with campers and potato survivors. And good luck getting mmr by escaping out of the gate when every match is against a camper with teammates who don't know how to deal with it.
You would create a low mmr hell
Gaining mmr means you should face stronger opponents. Usually it's because you are too experienced for who you are facing now.
But i would argue that a person who gets 3 or more kills by camping also should start facing stronger opponents who know how to deal with it

Thank you for telling me that, since it takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem and Thrill of the Hunt has a 50% reduction now I thought it would take 21 seconds because 50% of 14 seconds is 7 additional seconds. Why is it 28 seconds?
It doesn't actually add time to the totem but makes the survivor work slower.
Look at it this way. If you drive 50 miles per hour it takes you one hour to go 50 miles. If you go half that speed so 25 miles per hour it will take twice as long or 2 hours to drive 50 miles
-
Nerf overall but the added time really isn't something to be scoffed at.
For killers who can interrupt actions like doctor or killers who can easilly detect a survivor on their totems like demo the new version is probably better then the old one.
28 seconds is a long time to not be interrupted. (Yes 28 seconds)

"Boons are nowhere near that" Yea....Sure. No scratch marks or auras. Which means no nurses calling even. 100 % healing + infinite healing
Nothing game changing about that..... Nope
Not untill you spend 14 seconds to activate them. That's 17,5% of a gen you could have been doing. Not counting travel and searching time.
Realistically you probably come close to 25% of a gen you could have done. Just to activate them. If the killer comes across them before you get value of them it was pure wasted time. You practically gave the killer a pop for free.
Not to mention they cost perk slots. If a lethal pursuer nurse is on you in less then 10 seconds and you have both boons you're running with half a build. What are your other perks?
One is probably dead hard. What is the fourth? If it isn't decisive have fun getting tunneled and never activating your boons in the first place. Pick that and you miss out on unbreakabill and you aren't blessing any totems while on the ground. If it isn't Iron Will then your lack of scratch marks becomes useless the second you get injured. Opting for any of those means you miss out on BT. Being able to heal in 8 seconds is useless if the killer smacks the other survivors 1 second after they come of the hook.
These boons are Lucky Break all over again. People only want to see the best case scenario and choose to be completly oblivious to all the cost and downsides the perks have

Sad no killer perks got buffed to be worthy, I guess it's nice trapper is abit better

Cleansing a totem only takes 14 seconds, 21 with thrill (assuming no dull or hex totems have been cleansed already).
A single chase lasts about that long assuming the survivor isn't bad or the killer isn't godly.
So bassically everything in this game works with "charges"
Cleansing a totem takes 14 charges to complete. Survivors normally work at 1 charge per second. So it takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem.
If we add the 50% penalty of thrill then the survivors only work at 0.5 charges per second
So it will take 14/0.5= 28 seconds to cleanse a totem
-
While i agree that the notification removal was unneeded people are underselling the buff it got quiet a bit.
28 uninterrupted seconds to cleanse a single totem is a lot of time. Especially vs killers like doctor or perks like infectious fright that can interrupt the cleansing action without being there
-
I'm almost afraid to tell you the normal duration is like 0.25 seconds.
It nearly doubles it.
Too bad double of nothing is still pretty much nothing
-
inscription came out on the same day so I'm playing that. For now
-
Won't that make them useless though?
They aren't map wide, they aren't active at the start and to activate them you have to give the killer what they vallue most, time.
You could spend all that time setting them up just to be gone in a couple of seconds if the killers happens to go near it. If they were a one and done deal no one would use them and we'd go back to the boring old meta.
And before anyone starts comparing them to hexes that are a one and done deal. The only hexes that are used are ruin and devour with undying to protect them cause those hexes straight up win you the game if they aren't found.
Boons aren't anywhere near that. Do we really want those perks to become like third seal where you see them maybe once every 100 matches as a meme but all 99 other matches are the same old meta.
Survivors finally have a couple of perks that are strong but have a cost asociated with them. Lets not make them not worth using so they go back to their strong perks they get for free
