Even if she hitted me twice and put a bear trap, I could even accept. What she did was just too much taking advantage of someone trying be nice.
I stayed to see the end. She had 0 mercy on the rest of survs. Neither let hatch for last surv after a 3 vs 1. Last one tried boop and he was killed with hits on hook.
And There are many killers like this guy that need win at any cost and show a lot of toxicity in game.
So should every pig player stop playing the game everytime a survivor feels like meme-ing?
I would argue that you throwing a hissy fit cause they didn't want to meme and were just playing the game is the real toxic behaviour.
You offered to boop so the Pig HAS to be nice now. Last survivor offered to boop so the Pig HAS to give hatch now.
Sorry but that just sounds like entitlement to me
-
The reason you wiff is probably because survivors in that state are faster then the hitbox cone that you shoot out when killers attack
The reason you get hit while you play survivor is probably latency. Killer being closer then they appear and either they already hit you before you sprint bursted away or they were right on top of you.

Sprint Burst is stronger and this is not even a discussion IMO. Sprint Burst makes every area safe, this is not the case with Dead Hard. You can be in the biggest Deadzone, DH does exactly nothing, Sprint Burst means you are safe. Let alone that it is more frustrating to see Survivors sit on a Gen until the very last second, just to see them zoom off without any risk at all.
When Balanced Landing got nerfed, the players replaced it with DH or Sprint Burst (and some probably with Lithe), if DH gets nerfed, there would be so many Sprint Bursts, it would not be funny at all.
Not really. The difference of distance sprint burst and dead hard gives you really isn't that big.
They are both strong but saying sprint burst is stronger without discusion really isn't the case.
They both fill different roles. Sprint burst makes every area safe. But Dead Hard allows you to play unsafe everywhere and still get away with it.
Sprint burst also won't help you if a trap is in the way, or a hatchet is flying at you. A blight who knows you have it will simply dash after you.
Just being aware of dead zones and not being in them also kinda negates what sprint burst does most of the time. Sure it's not always an option but it's more an option then it's not
Personally i would 100% rather face sprint bursters then dead harders. Sure they will always get to a tile but they atleast have to play it properly then.

Legion
Discarted mix tape (common)
Frenzy fatigue is now silent
Stab wound studies (rare)
Hitting a Survivor highlighted by Killer Instinct while in Feral Frenzy reduces their deep wound timer by 35% and increases the reduction by an aditional 35% for the next survivor hit highlighted by killer instinct hit.
After the 4th hit feral frenzy ends
So bassically if you can stab 4 survivors in a single frenzy the 4th one will be downed
Frank's mixtape (rare)
Feral Frenzy also applies oblivious untill mended

That's 56m of diameter. That's a quarter-ish of Mother's Dwelling, iirc. You can place them whenever and wherever you want. They are infinite and offer an extremely powerful effect.
If I could chose to save Ruin for a 3-gen and place it in some obscure spot to force the Survivors to break it while I kill off their teammates I would take that ASAP
untill they break the totem ofcourse.
which to be fair is an argument in favor of the hypocrisy the op is talking about so touché

Survivors are 4 players. Killer side is just one player in a race against the clock.
A clock survivors are winding back each time they place a boon.
Outside of stacking the healing speed effect (which bhvr seriously needs to look at, a simple 3 second delay after being hit before you can heal is all it takes) they really aren't that big of an issue.
The fact that the boons have a cost of time alone makes them so much more better designed then all the current meta perks where they get all their powerfull effects for free.
Boons as a concept is one of the most healthy survivor changes we had in forever.
In order to have their powerfell effect they have to give the killer what they vallue most, time.
-
Boons also only affect things in a 28m radius. Aren't active at the start of the match. Takes 14 seconds to place and another 14 seconds everytime the killer finds it and spends 2 to deactivate it.
If you are going to compare them then compare them fully.
Just think how worthless hexes would be if we had to spend 14 seconds to place them, they only affected a 28m radius around them and the survivor could disable them in 2 seconds.
-
I don't really know. I don't watch streamers that often but the ones i do still have well over a 85% winrate even with accepting meme builds
My own games were rough at first but now they also are mostly very chill
-
I too miss ancient Freddy.
His weaknesses could have easilly been smoothed out with some buffs.
Add incapacitated to survivors tagged with his power and 90% of his issues would have been gone
-
God i hope so.
Especially with the tv show coming soon.
-
Those who celebrate the nerf are being a bit delusional
Not that much has changed.
The new ads sucks but once you get used to it there are very little shots you can't make that you could before.
And the zoning that people were complaining about can still be done thanks to the increased movement speed.
Just keep aiming and move to the survivor. They are still in a lose lose situation most of the time. And this time without the skill of no scoping. This is especially enhanced with addons.
The only real hard hitting nerf is the terror radius one but that can be easilly manipulated by perks.
In return he also has addons that reduce his stun to almost nothing.
I almost wouldn't even call this a nerf. More a side grade
-
So you did.
-
Sprint burst in general gives you 4.2m of distance from the killer over 3 seconds and has to be used instantly or you have to hold it and not do gens.
Dead hard in general gives you 3.8m of distance from the killer instantly whenever you want.
Dead hard is way harder to deal with
-
Rule nr.1 distance distance distance.
If you have an oppertunity to create more distance between you and a killer then 9/10 it's worth it.
Don't do fancy spins after getting hit but use the speed boost to run in a straight line from the killer.
Killer breaking a pallet? Straight line away from them.
Rule nr 2 learn the maps.
Once you learned how to make effective distance then you just need to learn to run towards tiles that you can use.
This requires knowledge. After playing for a while you'll learn to recognise these at a distance. Using the perk Windows of Oppertunity (which is getting buffed soon) will make this learning process easier and make sure you don't run into death zones.
Rule nr 3. If you want to beat them, join them.
As with everything in life, learning how things are from the other side will allow you to learn to deal with them much more effective.
Play killer too and look at what the survivors you go up against do .
The more you learn of your opposition the better you can go against them

how does it help to see the entire map behind him? I can see legion on both pics, thats all what matters to loop him there. What is this pseudo argument lmao
If you can't see how it could help to see the entire map while yourself standing behind cover then i don't know what to say.
I just hope you are trying to troll here. Or trying to grasp on to your easy mode. I don't want to believe anyone could be that dense to not see how the second picture is so much better for the survivor then the first.
You don't even need to play dbd to come to that conclusion
Not even to mention the ability to reveal ghost face from behind total cover. To see under cars you normally can't or over loops you normally can' or to see everything happening in front of you while breaking a pallet or being in fatigue as nurse.

I don't know what you're trying to prove here.... a haystack is a piss poor example of painting stretched res as a 'bad thing'- You can still see legions head even without it, if you're going to post examples use GOOD ONES. Reminds me of when I got called a cheater for seeing the killer through the wood board jungle gyms before they changed the textures to prevent that.
Let's completly ignore in the first example you barrely see the top of Legion's head and in the second you litterally see the entire map behind them.
you people can't actually be serious right?

Treat people with the same respect you would want to be treated yourself.
I wouldn't want someone to snap at me for calling gg. So i won't either.
That said mcdonalds wifi for me is a bad connection. Nothing more, nothing less. And if you want to see more insulting meaning behind it then with all due respect it doesn't matter to me. I won't change my meaning for yours.
Treating people with respect is a good thing. But if you try to avoid everything that other people might find offensive then the only way you can be a "kind" person is by isolating yourself and never talking to anyone ever again.
Cause the bar of what is and what isn't offensive will keep being pushed out each time you accept a new boundry. This works both negative and positive ways.
Respect is what matters, kindness is a trap that makes you lose your own self.
-
Concept wise i think they are great.
Survivors get a powerfull effect but give the killer what he vallues most for it in return.
They bassically give the killer a free pop whenever they bless a totem and it's up to them to get vallue out of it.
Obviously the edge cases like stacking healspeed need to be looked at and the radius could be slightly less but overall i think these perks are infinitly more healthy then all the meta perks now where survivors get their powerfull effect for free
-
@DawnMad said:
Honestly the distance gained isn't really important, those two perks do very different things.
- Sprint Burst triggers at the start of a chase and let's you get to a safe area. This both wastes a few more seconds of the killer and makes it safe to do generators in deadzones.
- Dead Hard is used in a chase to basically give you a new health state in most cases. In a pallet loop, if you did a mistake or the killer outplayed you you can use it to reach the pallet and be completely safe, so same as another health state. Against killers like Huntress, Blight, Nurse and Spirit it lets you dodge a hit and completely counter their power once per chase.
So in an organized team which loops the killer perfectly and doesn't do mistakes, Sprint Burst is much better. But in most teams Dead Hard is much better because most good survivors don't play perfectly and 3 health states are much more useful for them.
Also I did a post like this once, from the wording I assumed your movement speed gradually reaches 250% at the first 0.2 seconds so I found a lower number for Dead Hard. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/251677/numbers-for-exhaustion-perk-distances#latest
Yeah but people often use it in arguments and I was curious just how much distance it gave and decided to share.
I know these theory numbers aren't the end all be all but still pretty interresting and just fun to look at.
Yeah but i assumed that as you gradually gain speed and also gradually lose speed those would cancel eachother out.
-
Top is a lot to ask but it honestly looks like a great addition to the genre.
It looks a lot better then the other assymetricals outside of dbd.
The only thing that's holding me back a bit for me is that it's free to play.
In my experience ftp games are just a beacon to toxic players. But that's a completly personal thing so i am having high hopes for it
-
This is not holding the game hostage.
However griefing is also an offence and the case could be very easilly made that this is griefing.

That talks about survivors bodyblocking the killer to take hits or to try to get another survivor of their shoulders.
If you bodyblock the last 2 survivors without them able to trigger EGC enough you will get banned

What could they possibly rework about the healing system that's not "Heal guy until bar is full"?
They could add a delay of like 3-5 seconds after being downed before you can be healed.
It won't fully solve the issue if stacking becomes to big but it will severly temper it.
Cutting out WGLF of the options to stack healing will make it pretty difficult to reach high enough speed

I feel threatened…
[Mods this is not real fear and in context it cannot be taken as such in any interpretation]
And they say sarcasme doesn't work in text form
-
If survivors are smart and see this they will 99% the gens and let a survivor that didn't get their mask off through the hatch.
So for you to have 1k you at least need 2 survivors with a stuck rbt
-
I wonder if it took so long because of the achievement they had to change.
I heard that's quite a hefty process
-
I'll gladly do bones in a couple of seconds if it means survivors keep themself off of gens for a bit.
If survivors drop everything to constantly relight their boons then you have a massive advantage
-
Or play thrill of the hunt and laugh how survivors give you free pop goes the weasels over and over again
-
Great.
Pretty powerfull effects but takes time to activate.
This is how good perks should be. None of that dead hard stuff where you just get your perk for existing.
If you misplace your boon and the killer can snuff it repeatilly then you are wasting so much time not being on gens you are bassically throwing the game.
If you can place it in a good spot the effects are really impactfull.
Honestly one of the better designed features in a while
-
I honestly hope most if not all of the changes hit live.
The perks in the ptb feel like they will actually shake things up and i would hate to see them be nerfed in the live version and never to be seen again 2 weeks after release.
I just want this stale meta to finaly break

Who says it has to take 14 seconds? Just let the Killer set it with the press of a button.
You are basing this cause survivors can choose where there totems are.
So if you want that benifit then you should take the cost of time associated with it too.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
-
Blood favour seems amazing now.
Not sure about being meta but it's definitivilly hex worthy now. Stbfl or any power that recovers fairly quickly can really mess survivors up if they choose to ignore it
-
Do you really as a killer at the start of the game where you are weakest spend 14 seconds activating your perks?
That's around 70% of a generator if survivors split up. Or do you want to have the benifit of choosing your placement without the cost of time that everybody seems to be ignoring
-
Yeah I'm loving this there is so much to test out.
The bad stuff of the patch also isn't as bad as i thought it was so it's pretty much all positive so far for me

Would be kinda crazy if it would cost real money and shards don't you think?
-
Because people are so propagandized by their "devs are bad" mindset that they will subconsciously ignore anything good that's done and focus on the bad things. And make those up if there aren't any.
It is kinda scary to see how selective the human mind can be with the information it accepts. Makes you wonder if anything we preceive is real or if it's just what we want to see

its not me wanting to be rewarded its me feeling like thiers a double standard when it comes to boon and hex totems,
previously a survivor cleansed a nex and its gone for good. fine alright i didnt defend it and i lost the hex.
but if i cleanse a boon totem it stays there to be reapplied as many times as a survivor feels like and if they bless my hex its gone for good just feel like a double standard of play.
again its all speculation as we dont know the perks but hexes are a commitment and a rick while boons are a vuff area you can replace as much as you want it seems
Almost as if you're playing an asymetrical game and things don't have to work in the exact same way for both sides.
With that logic boon totems should be lit from the start of the match. After all most hexes are too right?
