  • my survivor queues were already back up to 7-10 minutes, now they're gonna be thirty minutes and moris are a literal waste of bloodpoints LUL. good job guys. If I have to wait 20+ minutes again like that whole first week after crossplay came just to get a match as survivor and find I'm facing mostly rank 3 to rank 1 killers afterwards I'm uninstalling permanently lmfao. Only the sweatiest are gonna wanna play killers after troll with friends bumped up in popularity after the crossplay addition and the matchmaking update goofs.

This game isn't gonna die since too many already play it, but brace yourselves for queue times approaching if not passing 20 minutes as survivors for at least a couple of months. Thank god I've preloaded Cyberpunk, roflmfao. These devs man. It's as if they honestly don't play their own game at all.

Never forget the time that smug guy went to korea and said killers are fine, to be promptly embarassed on livestream playing the hag lmfao. That's the kind of decision making that goes into these updates sometimes, people who actually don't know how to play their own game deciding what's 'best for us'. I have enough clueless politicians already deciding 'what's best for me' and don't need the stress of playing killer in this game any more nor waiting 20+ minutes in queue as survivor just to find only the sweatiest players are willing to play killers any longer after that long of a queue on top of stress outside the game.

To quote Clueless, "Di... I'm audi." It's really too bad that license BS killed Friday the 13th, since that game could have obliterated dead by daylight in a better world. And it even has the bots that DBD is gonna need next week to shorten survivor queue times a little bit.

This is the best video I have ever seen on the Nerf vs. BUFF discussion and uses many examples to demonstrate why it is so challenging to do.

More often it is smarter to BUFF, but coding wise it is easier to nerf.

I think this explains the constant teeter totter that this game is always on quite well

my recent survivor queue times on both pc and ps5 (haven't played much on either platform in recent months but played enough to get back to purple on ps5 while pc hangs around rank 14 iirc so have a feel between some ranges) tell me that killers must not be having alot of fun lately, or must be fearing they won't (on this game I don't blame them) so aren't playing killer enough to keep my queue times from sometimes approaching some of the lengths I had to wait for about the first week or so right after crossplay. I've been seeing rainbows again all the time on both platforms, both roles even, which doesn't tell me anything good about the amount of killers in all rank groups queueing up when I play.

I've noticed Hex totems get cleansed much faster if killer is running corrupt. Less likely to have NOED at end too because my teammates actually do totems if corrupt is being used.

    lol yeah

As a Plague main, I feel that corrupt isn't tat good on her. You need to find survivors to infect ASAP and Corrupt will just make them crouch in the corner of the map for two minutes. Can be okay but it's a perk slot I couldve used for another perk that's better on her

as plague you should be spitting on gens so when you see an infected status come up you know they were just on one you spat on, like a silent alarm system. if they wait for it to clear it keeps them off it too for a bit.

I have spawned as a survivor, walked 5 seconds to a gen and saw in the distance other gens being blocked. Still 2 gens done after the first chase

This happens quite frequently and that's why i stopped using it.

you should probably check the nearest gens when you spawn as killers to see if somebody happened to spawn near one and is on it, before checking for people traveling from blocked gens looking for unblocked gens or trying to hide near one and ride the corruption out. What I do often is look for bones and hexes when I notice corruption. But very carefully, especially when I see a hex and nobody is being chased (I look at their names and health state highlights to know that along with listening for cues) just in case they're checking out the hex or will get notified while not preoccupied.

It'ss till a great perk, especially being only one slot for the effect, just not on every killer in my opinion. If you're using somebody like freddy or legion you'd get way more out of using sloppy or nurses like the one guy mentioned, since you could stack M1 punishments and get around to the gens faster. To be straight up though, in those extremely slow, boring, tedious attrition matches where they're slowing everything down to a crawl (legion I hate especially for that) I honestly just suicide ont he first hook and requeue since I don't have the patience and attention span for it lol. I've finished a few matches like that (finish meaning escape), but, if it's gonna be ten minutes of that tedious nonsense and I happen to get caught often I'm out unless the killer was easy to make miss swings and bad at the loops.

Why would I run Ruin/Undying when I could run Sloppy/Nurses?

depends if you get people that only mend and do gens with iron will, dead hard, resilience etc. I use those often myself on pc and if I suspect nurses I am fine going injured the whole game, and even better for it sometimes. I don't like playing killer though, so when I do use akiller I guess I am thinking more based on how I play as a survivor sometimes. When people use corrupt, I get all the bones, and often their hexes with it before the corrupt comes down. I didn't want people doing that to me basically.

During one of the last no DC penalty phases, once I'd given up on finishing a real match while everybody was DC left and right, I played around with many builds and after a couple of days of goofing around I wound up doing fairly well after working out a no mither build too. If people wanna geta little better at the game that's probably one way to do it, it would have been pure hell working that out if I hadn't been goofing around.

Yeah that was last year ago(IIRC) when Ruin finally got nerfed to how it is.

It's just a story I found hilarious that still applies on topic. Not everyone has this perk or that perk for reasons that they probably don't have said characters unlocked.

not to mentiont hat it can take millions of bp to finally unlock the basic tier of the perk you want per character depending on how many teachables you already have. That's why I mainly have only ash and kate with every perk at tier 3 on my pc account, and on my ps5 account mostly just use laurie since she has ds and wglf at purple already. Once I get BT from bill, between those three and spine chill or swapping spine chill for small game sometimes is about allt he teachables I'm gonna bother withon ps5 unless we finally get a progression merge with our pc accounts some day lol.

  • @EldritchElise87 said:

Corrupt is only better than any other gen perk on killers that need a long time to set up, so trapper, myers and to an extent hag. In any other case ruin, pop, even surge or oppression give more utility as long as you can pressure gens enough to get the worth out of them.

I haven't really used him more than a few times so I never tried the two perks together, but would pop and blight's gen kick perks go decently together? if you kick the gen you know they're gonna go right backt o anyways. I wonder if overload could go with them too, but that would need to be on a really active and mobile killer since that's three perk slots already. I thought about looking at those perks and trying it out, but I avoid killer like the plague.

To the guy above me, the type of perks you used are often used by the clowns that have given me the hardest time, they seem good choices for that killer to use just based on my own survivor experiences against them on him.

  • Borrowed Time perk and Dead Hard for the one unhooking, along with Deliverance for the unhooking hooker

or justd o gens like the other guy said, unless you'd be the only one doing gens then it would be pointless and you'll know it's a hatch match

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

That's actually a pretty common bug rn. You can get blinds without being on the killer's screen. It's pissy but also it's dbd.

Though there definitely are people who use these aimbotd and they're honestly pathetic.

Ironically, they just claimed to have 'fixed' a bug that let you sometimes see through walls while hugging them with a fleshlight... I wouldn't be surprised if the fix somehow led to this new bug lmao.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Why would I use Corrupt Intervention when I could use Make Your Choice?

Personally, I wouldn't use it with the undying/ruin combo myself to save the perk slot unless I was playing the trapper or hag, which I don't use and I prefer avoiding killer much myself to begin with to be honest. I feel corruption just nudges people towards looking for bones rather than taking them as they find them, which can hurt the ruin/undying wombo combo and take a perk slot thatc ould be used for something like sloppy butcher for better slows.

  • @Greatamygdala said:

    Maybe they don't have plague.

I have a friend who finally saved up enough to buy Hag and her Ruin got Nerfed the next few days lmao

they nerf it again or are you referring to the previous nerf? I haven't played as much lately, and as a result I don't often see ruin because of the ranks except on ps5 where I played enough to get to purple again very recently (on pc still 14 iirc). I started noticing ruin/undying once I got to purple on ps5 and I decided to knock out the 20 bones rift challenge lol.

The devs need to award Hook Rescues AFTER it's a safe unhook.

Initial unhook gives you 1500 BP. THEN an extra 500 for safe hook rescues.

Unhooking unsafely should greatly reduce the bloodpoints given to the survivor.

currently, it's an instant 1k and then 500 if they go a bit without being hit... it should be nothing immediately, 500 awarded and referred to as "Unsafe Unhook" if hit soon after and then the safe unhook reward should get bumped up to 1k to discourage hook farming and lazy or naive unhooks. It would be a good training mechanism for new players too.

Im in the same boat the devs are a different breed I have 2k pluss hours I've been playing since doctor's release I took a couple breaks here and there I took a break when ghost face came out and came back when pyramid Head came out me and my long time friend who has way more hours than we started playing immediately I found that playing killer was just anoying and not fun but survivor was alright but it became very stale then came the Billy rework and we both agreed that it was so unnecessary and there was way more bigger priorities in the game that could have been done for example balancing the game more we saw that the devs were taking unnecessary changes that nobody really wanted and that's pretty much the turning point when we just both kind of agreed that this game was not going to get better I really wanted this game to succeed because there is no other game like it but the way and the direction that it's going is not good and it's kind of sad but it's true he quit a few weeks ago but I kept going on it cuz one of my friends who just got internet and it was his first time playing in three years so we started grinding the hell out of the game and that's when it really came to me that it's not getting better and it's becoming worse he instantly became a spirit man and even playing spirit and he got decent with her he's right now in the boat where he's really hopeful for the game kind of like I used to but it's starting to Dawn on him that the devs are not taking the game in the good direction even right now I was super excited for Halloween event cuz I actually thought it would give me more of incentive to have fun but it looks like they're not even going to be earnable the cosmetics and that just shows you what the devs priorities is even the event cosmetics of the past becoming free for everyone which was a really kick in the dick for people who actually took the time to earn those which my friend actually worked his ass off during the first moon rise event to earn the thing men and David cosmetic only having two days to grind it and once he saw that it was free it really turned him off in the game and it really did me too which I never was able to earn them back then cuz I didn't play as much I never want to use it cuz I know I didn't earn it but the devs just don't care about anything but you know those cosmetics that it's really ruining the game because they're putting away too much time into it they have a great design team cosmetics look great but it's just not going in the best direction sorry for the really long posts but if this is true that these hollow blight cosmetics aren't going to be earned I think I'm quitting the game because that would be turning the most anticipated event into a complete cash grab and that's going to be it for me I hope that they prove me wrong and improve this game but for right now I think it's time for me to go away because there's just more games coming out that have more my attention and I won't have time anymore for dead by daylight cuz the grind isn't going to keep me anymore and I think the grind is really the only reason that most people are playing because when you look at it the grind is the only thing that really keeps the game together and that's no longer a thing that's keeping me liking the game and I think it's just time to go

    holy paragraphs batman

I agree. A lot about the game has been bugging me lately. It runs like crap even though my PC is well beyond what the game needs, even on lowest settings I can get stutter at times. Theres bugs, bugs and more bugs, all the sound issues make the game frustrating.

Then they nerf a viable killer just because survivors cried but with no compensation.

The reason it bugs me so much is how it was done. We all knew what they put out on the ptb wouldnt be the final product, we all knew he was getting nerfed harder....so why both with putting that version on the ptb in the first place?

Secondly its the spineless attitude they have. “Its not intended as a nerf”, umm everyone and their mothers can see its fully intended as a nerf. Why not just grow a backbone and say “yeah we’re nerfing him”. You say to address feedback from both sides but cleary this was all about survivors complaints.

No serum this year either. They aren’t even pretending to be in this for the love anymore its all about the money. People say they were worse under Starbreeze but remember under Starbreeze they even had free dlc and were much less predatory when it comes to taking your money than they are now.

Basically a cash grab company with no respect for the fans trying to milk a game for every penny they can before its dried up. Along with a development team who have such little respect for the players they can’t ever be honest or truthful with them.

    I’m out too.

when I moved it off of hdd and onto even a sata ssd a lot of those stutters stopped, afterward most stutters which were few seemed related to packet loss or in game bugs like the one dead hard used to have (maybe still does for some people) or the poorly optimized spots/look direction in maps.

that may be but it's not reason to be complacent about a still broken game. I was there at the beginning, it was a nightmare, and back then there was a clear cut win/loose condition. now it's just as much of an unbalanced mess with no clear win condition. Remember it took the director being baited into going to Korea for some PR points only to find it was a trap to prove a point about the game: four killer mains sat him down, roasted him on live tv for how broken DBD was and then stomped him into the ground, absolutely bullying him with every broken mechanic/tactic they could at the time. That was the first time the devs updated something in favor of the killer, it was also a brief moment of humility, something which has long since been forgotten.

    That is still absolutely hilarious

DS has been nerfed 2 times and reworked once.

Killer meta perks such as BBQ has never been touched. Killer perks have all been buffed with the exception of Ruin which I can argue is just as strong.

I think killer perks need some nerfing so they are not abused every match and hand their 4K to them on a silver platter.

Killer perks need nerfing and survivors need more better perks.

Do you not even realize that BBQ encourages focusing someone else, rather than 'tunneling' or 'camping' after hooking you? Do you guys even read your own posts afterwards just to see what you sound like? I swear survivors in asyms often sound like spoiled chillens that literally just want something to constantly complain about and get attention over, without even caring if it even makes sense.

  • You have few enough killers already, and with tunneling being unfortunately necessary once you start hitting the near purple to purple/red ranks if you even want a couple of kills you really should start learning how to hide better or loop better if not both unless you want thirty minute or longer queues as survivor or to only get quick matches as a killer you're clearly not gonna enjoy playing if you guys get the nerfs you keep brainstorming through your immense wisdom all the time.

And no, I'm not killer main (99% of the time I am survivor and wouldn't appreciate longer queues myself but I won't blame kilelrs for it), I already hate playing killer much as it already is since either it ranks up way too quickly or you are forced to become a calculator to be able to have any fun while avoiding pipping at the same time. You would even lose some of the sweatier players if the devs went too far listening to you guys, and the only people left willing to play killer more than a few roflstops of themselves would be the sweatiest kind of killers that I doubt most of you guys would enjoy facing. Imagine waiting in lobby for thirty minutes for it to throw you a red rank killer, even rank 1 kilelr sometimes, even though you're brown or grey ranked survivor just to be able to get a match going for you because no killers in your ranks had fun playing any longer? It's an honest case of "you think you do, but you don't". I'll tell you one thing, if you didn't quit, you would certainly start figuring out how to at least hide better then.

  • If it gets save progression, you wouldn't lose access to things like unlocked trainable perks or Most cosmetics (outside of ones only available on one of the platforms because of license issues) as long as you bought each of the dlc on the other platform that you want access to including to their perks. That's how it works with cross platform progression and same account, even with final fantasy mmos you still had to buy a separate license and the expansions again between pc & playstation but could add the license for the other platform onto the same service account and use the same characters and progress them through either platform.

You do need to buy the game and expansions again on the other platform to mention that again, it's the way things are done usually which is a platform rather than developer or publisher issue. Imagine if you let people bring their friends and their playstations over to your house to hook them up together using your internet and electricity to lan up with each other. Sure, they paid for it and it's theirs... but to play at theirown house on their own network, not on yours at your expense. I kind of look at it that way, each platform wants a piece of the pie, and that pie would be a portion of the resale of the license on their own platform.

To be safe on what to expect, always expect to have to buy a game and dlcs again even if it has cross platform progression. There are exceptions, but they're generally in ftp games and not all of them have done it either even. Fartnite is one exception, where I could access my 'save the world' (the Real fortnite) characters and unlocks on my ps4pro after the unannounced eac insertion to that game was giving me issues with it and I stopped playing it until it landed on ps4. On ps4 I was able to pick it right back up, but, that will not Usually be the case. Most of the time, you will be paying for things again even if you use the same account between platforms.

  • It would screw with her ability to 'mind game', which would in effect take something away from her gameplay rather than add onto it. Kind of like the politicians pocketing some of those extra monies for themselves even if they try and launder it cleverly in contracts and kickbacks they can write off easily. It just feels like being bamboozled. Being told it's a good idea for the person affected rather than only taking something without actually giving anything in exchange.

She has no idea which box will unlock a trap. It’s completely random and there’s no indication available for Pig or the survivors.

weird, I could have sworn I read somewhere they had a way to find out which box had the key. But also something about the key not being in the same box for every survivor(like once somebody unlocked it, it would move to another box or something like that), but that she could tell somehow when a box did have one in it.

  • @Lavos99z said:

Stop. It is easily reportable and I'm sure the devs are aware. Stop this garbage and help people if you see them stuck. You're making the game worse than it already is.

What do you honestly expect after 4 years of swf and they finally get thrown a bone lol. I'd do it too if I cared to play killer much. Not to their whole team, but to get one guy out of the game quickly if it was a 3 or 4 pc user lobby.

  • I haven't played pig yet honestly, but what I've read is that the pig is able to know which boxes will unlock the traps and that she can patrol them with that knnowledge when she knows somebody needs to go to it. Whether that knowledge is form an addon or from a passive trait, Idk since as I said I haven't used her and only got her for surveillance for now.

  • @immortalls96 said:

I've always enjoyed her..I enjoy playing against her more than most killers as well, I think if you look at it as a new way to chase shes a crap ton of fun..my friend doesnt like her as much but even says it's a personal thing. So yesterday we were playing survivor and went against a cherry blossom spirit..that's the purple pl e addon that increases her passive phasing..now it's not used much because spirit can't see it happening and it's up to chance whether it actually helps mind game a tile.

It's his least favorite addon for her and I agree because it's not even fun to use as you dont USE it..its just there..then..I had an idea, what if spirits passive phase only happened during her wind up?

So it would work like this..spirit is no longer stuck in place during wind up,, but her passive phase only happens while she is channeling her power, what this would do is make her flickering a conscious move to make by the spirit so she controls her flicker mind games so she doesnt have to commit to a phase , and it would help survivors know when shes possibly going into phase..it wouldn't just be a hold still mind game any longer..plus it would make spirit decide whether or not to hide in order to not give the information away..I think this would add considerable depth to playing spirit at high level without taking away her core aspects..just a thought but I liked it the more I thought on it

This feels an awful like when politicians try to make tax increases sound as if they're doing you a favor.

Terrible advice, if you are being camped the best thing to do is wait the whole duration so the team can do gens and punish the camper. Sucks for the person being camped but it reduces the chance of them getting any extra kills.

uh no, the terrible thing to do is sit when the queues were still 10 minutes staring at the screen, and then stare at the screen another few minutes when instead you could have spent the time staring at the screen killing a few minutes off of another queue. just like killers don't log on to open up an entertainment serving soup kitchen on their computer solo survivors camped or tunneled into oblivion don't as well. If you wanna do the gens, do them on your own time. My queues were faster again finally last night, and I deranked enough to stop having nothing but red rank killers, but if my experience had still been the same I would still have been playing that way otherwise I would have expected compensation for the time I'd given to only provide enjoyment for others at the expense of my own enjoyment and my own time. There is a reason why your employer pays you, because if they didn't and you didn't enjoy the work you wouldn't do it. Especially the more tedious and unstimulating it is.

I've literally fallen asleep on the hook before, with a lot of coffee in my system, from the boredom on exceptionally bad days. And then been bitched about it afterward because I was apparently unhooked and only awoke because of the end match jingle that plays shocking me awake. What do they expect me to do? Sit there and stare at the damned screen all night in matches after doing it in between them too while they get to play? If I'm unstimulated long enough in a match on a night that's been especially brutal by an unlucky day on dbd the tedium builds and I begin nodding off within an hour or so of too many boring matches in a row. It's just the way my brain is wired. So actually, you are spared potentially unhooking a guy that may have already fallen asleep in my case. You could do something more valuable like gens with that time, or something more profitable like gaining bp if you're chased, and I could keep myself occupied on youtube or shitposting somewhere while I shave some minutes off of another queue. It's a win-win.

  • I was hoping you were gonna tell them to git gud so that I could then say that is not the way to end my ten minute survivor queues

  • it does become easy finding gens eventually, but I noticed during the mmr bork there were lots of new players because they were posting on steam discussions about the matchmaking. So those sort of perks exist for them, gotta retain some new players to replace the ones who leave over time. The perk I'm interested in is the one with iirc 14% unhooking speed to go with wglf and maybe replace BT for when I need bloodpoints. Ye, it's selfish, but with my current matching recently against only red rank killers (maybe due to lower rank killer shortage?) and roughly ten minute queues when not longer sometimes on some nights if it continues into the new chapter I'm gonna need something to keep me going since no matter how fast and instant killer queue is now for me I don't have fun playing killer in this game.

Thank God this game doesn't have loot boxes. I don't play multiplayer games, but I made an exception with DBD. But if this game ever starts creeping into that territory, I'll drop it like a bad habit.

yeah ironically I picked up eso, after leaving shortly after it's beta and launch periods, when it came out with the "one tamtriel" overhaul and left it again shortly after when the lootboxes came and I saw how wiitartay their forum fanboys got over the announcement of the lootboxes coming ("crown crates" or ######### ever they called those). I went the entire last decade not feeding into any of that just to get wheeled into raid shadow legends last year lol. But we all make mistakes.

  • Edit: Exististence is painful for a meeseek. Mister Meeseek next survivor please. Do it for the lulz.

  • It depends on your killer and the map. Killers like ghostface you waste half of the perk on since like original Twitch in league of legends you could spend most of your time undetectable already if you want to and use the addons for it especially. But some killers, it is really good for. I have no clue if you cans till hear the spirit while it's active on her, but if you can't, then it could be great for her to grab some poor soul right off that gen. It is good, just less universally useful than other perks like pop or corrupt. It was almost decent before they buffed it, but now it's good though since depending on where you are on slower killers you still have time to get to the gens on some maps. But that's what makes it a gamble though. I'll tell you what though I used it a couple times on pyramidhead when he was new and liked it then, but the killer itself was still catching people off guard was all since you could bust them through the walls and I got middlewich a lot back then. And some gens in that map you can smack then pretty well with him without being visible if they stay on the gens. It marinates them for the chase and easy incap.

SWF was always planned, but they also said way back in the beginning that they would never add voice to the game because it was designed to be played without it and not having all those known quantities that come with it.

Apparently, they never heard of Discord when they planned for SWF, which shows a severe lack of planning, foresight, and basic game design common sense.

Actually I may have not remembered it entirely correctly, and the guy I quoted here I think is actually right about it. The livestream I am thinking of was giving reasons for why voicechat did not coincide with the experience they intended to create, and I may have mistakenly associated that with swf (not insensibly) since it's been quite along time since then.

Here we go again - SWF was planned from the beginning. But the Devs only had time to put either KYF or SWF into the game on Release so they went for SWF. They said it during one of the early Livestreams.

It is simply wrong to think that Developers would plan a Multiplayer Onlinegame without the intention in mind to have friends play together.

Also, the feature was added shortly after the release, you dont create something like that in a few weeks from scratch.

But hey, try to de-justify SWF by repeating this over and over again that the Devs were not planning to include it, as wrong as it can be.

I watched an early livestream, I think it was on twitch, where they said the opposite of you and rather said what the guy you quoted did. This was back during, or right around (can't recall if before or after but was right around) beta. I suppose they said that because they needed people that were only interested in killer side to play the game. I've believed that was the reason for saying that anyways for four years myself. Whether they meant it, or only said it to not scare killers off I'll never be certain. But it always rubbed me the wrong whether or not it was true for either reason that they said it.

Sometimes letting you die is the right play. I just lost a game to a face camping NOED Spirit (console), we had 4 gens done, but she ended up with a 4K, because I tried to save my teammates, and so did they. That's my fault, and also my other teammates. If we had just done the last gen it would have been possible to make a play or at least get 2 or 3 out.

Then we can have an actual chance at not going into 2nd hook: due to potatoes who refuse to leave their little "patch" (safespace).

just try to escape, and don't kill your wrist and interface trying to struggle if you're being camped or believe you're gonna be found too quickly and tunneled out of the game. get a jump start on the next long queue. as abonus, more people might play killers the more do this, making those queues shorter eventually if that's the case. making it a potential win-win-win

Wraith main, my man. I too main him. I’ve been running a gen slowdown build on him lately and has been working out quite well actually. BBQ, PGTW, ruin and discordance. I might switch out something for corrupt occasionally also. I know it’s not a conventional build for wraith but hey I’ve been enjoying it. Slap on some windstorm addons to go vrooomm.

corrupt might lead to them spending the time finding your ruin totem much more often int he early game, I'll quickly scope some totems on that side of the map to get some points off of dull ones and hopefully break a hex and get some work done without being corralled onto the mid map gens or possibly being cut off going too soon to the other side of the map depending on how ######### it would be for hiding or getting around safely at that point in the game. To me, it's better than being the first guy seen and possibly caught, which would lead to a big chance of being tunneled from my more recent experiences. corrupt alone is fine, and I might combo it with tremors (and pop, since you can stall two gens periodically with those two together and find somebody that won't leave a gen with tremor and maybe find a good one to pop on), but I'm choosy what I use with it. Tremors is a good way to get amini corrupt on some gens mid game as well as finding one being worked on, it's long cooldown and short duration but great when you're having trouble finding people or stalling gen repairs. But maybe I'm just thinking that way because I don't have the fortitude to play killer often to not have to rely on those sort of crutches.

That being said healing speed might need to be looked at next patch cause you can heal VERY fast

not self-healing, and not even when being healed by another survivor who isn't using perks or a medkit to buff their own speed healing others either. if you hit the current speed of healing others, you'll just face more flashlights forcing you to waste a valuable perk slot on lightborn or have a Really bad time, or more survivors will start running iron will+resilience and then once too many are doing that even solos are gonna give you a lot of really bad days since they'll all have buffed gen times plus vault speeds. We have akilelr shortage already, it doesn't need to become worse. Some survivor nerfs will simply lead to them capitalizing on other strengths for even more annoying gameplay. And you can't nerf everything, there would be no point in playing. So soon after crossplay, we need a couple even afew months to see how things look once they fix the mmr before they begin to carefully consider any further nerfs and even buffs.

Not to mention, you should also the clown's fear perk (forget the name since I usually only see afk macro killers using it to probably assure they get more bp or xp time themselves through stalling while we farm off of them), nurse's calling, thano, sloppy and probably others I'm not thinking of. You probably haven't looked too hard into what you could do about it if the obvious and more popular perks haven't crossed your mind. sloppy is pretty powerful on some killers because of the enormous stall it leads to or the hefty punishments when you ignore it. Try combining sloppy with freddy or spirit, that might work well for at least one of them. I haven't tried that combo (think unluckily I got it on neither) nor either killer even more than a few times myself yet, but it could end up being a good combo on them.

  • that's old news, same with tunneling in multiple games. so say you ran into the same guy ten different matches, and you camped or tunneled him in 4 or 5 if not more of those games especially multiple times you met him in a row. That would be considered targeted harassement/griefing and could get you intot rouble. Unfortunately, even if it's simply done because they are the easiest to catch in many matches and you remember that fact when you see them in lobby (especially if they roll with a twf) or if they are often the only survivor you can even find (especially if they roll with a twf) since they only see the raw data and have no understanding of the context of the match.

So this could actually be abused by twf were it not for the fact they don't know who the killer player is in the lobby nor until the match is over with, the only saving grace from this being abused to force killers to have to tunnel out objectas an example or else stand ina c orner all game every time they would have been able tor ecognize a killer player they didn't like or just decided to troll. This is one example why survivor lobbies should never be allowed to see the killer's name/profile, at the least, even if they ever let them see the killer type again. when the game came out, I remember they used to be able to find the killer's profile through recently played and decide to dodge or troll them... thank god they can't do that any more

Do you prefer to not have Whispers or run Whispers? I ask because me as a Killer I love knowing when someone is near to pinpoint exactly where they are so hiding is very hard for survivors. However if I don't run the perk it makes finding the last survivor pretty rough and makes me feel dumb knowing I might be looking in an area that no survivors are in. Just a curious thought would love to hear other peoples ideas behind their choice. One reason I could see why people prefer not to is to save that perk slot for specific builds, to not waste a slot, or to make the game more challenging.

it'll probably take some getting used to like spine chilld oes, but once you get a feel for it like spine chill it'll always be able to work and provide some extra information like knowing good spots to phase as spirit or where to crouch and creep as ghost face... so long as they're not using spine chill ha ha ha. the problem is being limited in perk slots for killer because you also need something to delay or notify you on gens like sloppy or discord, and if using some like says urveillance they're best used in combo like surveillance+ruin and with only 4 perk slots I prefer less guesswork. So the list of kilelrs I'd go with whispers for over something is limited myself. But , I'm not an experienced killer, so much like with when I first started trying out spine chill I'm probably not using it well.

You can't have 70% gpu usage and not be hitting the 60 fps cap (assuming you are using vsync) Your gpu still has 30% headroom and can only be limited by a terrible cpu. Running 4:3 will not fix this problem if you are cpu bound.

    I am running a 1st gen i7 860 and a gtx 1060 and sit around 80 fps.

no no you're right I'm 99% of the time at steady 60fps, it's just afew specific spots, even directions faced in them, on a couple of specific maps where my fps can suddenly jump almost down to 50fps and with their shoddy vsync on it's really jarring. Trying to disable their vsync in gameusersettings.ini and even through nvidia control paneld oesn't seem to work for me, and I don't want to risk making configs read-only or messing with anything other than gameusersettings.ini nor any other settings in besides the preset options for visuals so I prefer to keep those solid 60 fps and have to tank my visuaks to the point my usage on older maps is closer to 60% and most others closer to around high 60s to 70% usage just to avoid those janky drops into the 50s on specific maps mainly middlewich and the orville.*

It definitely is a gamble. Some days I have games where I'll be matched against people far more experienced than me, and other days I'll have matches where everything will go just right. It's almost like the game does this on purpose to ensure that you don't abandon it completely! 😄

I've suspected the same myself, but then again i played raid shadow legends for almost a year and their suspicious lootbox drops every time I stopped spending for a month or two and only did cb and barely rushed through dailies most days even made me paranoid. Now I look at any binge of good fortune/luck suspiciously especially at periods my interest declines and the login frequency, durations and activity while on games can show it to devs and their algorithms. The matrix has you.
