  • I mean, it's a purple add-on, that is utterly outclassed by a brown one.

That is a great reason to not run it

I've been playing Artist a lot and I will post my feedback below:

→ She's lacking mobility, which would make sense as she is able to injure and down cross map. Problem is that it works only against noobs.

→ Her put crow in a loop is boring, force to w from survivor and isn't competitive enough

→ Crows auras give a lot of feedback to dodge

I'm sorry to all Artist mains, but I can't see her being any better than bottom of B

Wrong post. This is about the RPD achievement being awful.

  • You…. can do that already….

Did I miss a revert or smth?

Edit: Nope. You can change loadout names by hovering over it with a mouse, it then shows you the prompt.

Are you by chance a console player?

  • The one we keep hearing about yet it never comes.

I wouldn't be surprised if they say: yes yes we will make another version of it ect. ect. and then forget about it a year later.

Nothing has been cancelled it is still being worked on. The game survived for a decade with tunneling and camping, it will survive until the new system is ready.

Something tells me that it will be equivalent to the Skull Merchant rework.

  • I would do this if in the future the devs would want to nerf Pain Res.

It's much better to make it so tunneling is off the table than just lowering the percentage.

Otherwise, this is not that pressing of a problem.

"All I hear anymore is entitlement and whining after the update"

Did you miss the last two ptbs?
    fog vials?

    Last year, more like.

Add in also the AFK prevention, anti-tunnel, anti-slug.

  • Good for you.

The issue is that the entire pallet update was a mistake start to finish.

The first one, which added a ton of fillers, was the developers way of trying to nerf Blight and co. in the worst way imaginable.

This update, they overcorrected, so now the pallets are trash 80% of the time.

So we learned that this whole pallet update was a mistake and it needs to go back to the 9.0.0 version.

Put some more pallets on Rancid Abatoir, Haddonfield and other maps that REALLY need it, and end it there.

  • @Leon_Loves_Cheryl said:

The main tiles (like TL's, jungle gyms etc.) should be the preferred loops for survivors, whereas fillers should just be…well…*fillers.* I think it's fine as-is.

Except it's ALL fillers with how maps are constructed nowadays.

Look at the newest maps: Greenville, Fallen Refuge, Freddy's.

All of them have maybe 2-3 structures, and the rest are fillers.

And if I got it correctly, Disturbed Ward for instance had some loops removed. So there are now more fillers.

  • I feel like the old effect was mostly fine.

It took a certain amount of intelligence to use well, like behind structures.

The only complaints were it being used in an unavoidable way (reaching a pallet) and use alongside syringes.

I think I would give it a hefty charge amount downside instead.

  • It's a good Lethal replacement.

The stacking effect is largely not really that good.

And Supercharge is there I guess.

  • The One sounds like a good choice.

That said, BHVR named Chucky "The Good Guy" so anything is on the table.

  • Whatever suits you best.

About stopping buying, I never even started to begin with.

I am not spending large amounts of cash on dbd, especially not now that everything has gone wrong.

  • I only want QOL for Carmina.

I don't trust BHVR to rework her well. Plus, she is pretty much perfect.

  • Hag. Old, but a good old design.

Artist. Difficult? Yes. Fun? Yes if you know what to do.

Houndmaster. Honestly she would be great if not for all the bugs and Snug's odd antics.

    Twins.

I've seen a lot of survivor players complaining about the new pallet update. I, as a survivor main, tried it myself and discovered the pallets are actually quite fine

With the new update, a lot of M1 killers are actually viable and the killer range as a whole has become a lot more playable. Already super strong killers haven't been made much stronger by this update and can now be safely balanced around the more interactive pallets

    Big beHaviour W

    This is actually impressive.

    Good post.

  • I am happy that it lasts this long now.

Because, the previous one did not, and it felt like a chore to get.

Plus, this is not Fortnite. The pass is lengthy and takes a lot of Fragnents to fill.

Stop making this game more like Fortnite, it only hurts this game.

  • 4 Man Rancor was never better.

  • It's a good and rather healthy perk.

In the same vein as Grim Embrace is.

We need more stuff like that. Ravenous and None Are Free were good meaning attempts that kind of fell flat.

  • It is ONE of the things that combats tunneling, but it is not a full solution.

The survivor in chase still likely dies, and has their experience ruined. Unless you are a god-tier looper.

It definitely is not a good argument for tunneling killers.

  • Allow me to adjust: Well, whining has done it again.

Not every killer main wanted all loops to be 50/50.

  • It's just how these are.

    Deliverance users get found first.

4 medkit lobbies get put against a Plague.

Hex totems spawn right next to survivors.

While I think they've improved I just feel they could go back and make them match the rest of the more recent cosmetics so some characters don't look gross and unappealing while others look much better.

making things dirty and stinky looking will make less people buy it, they should focus on marketable and respectable designs for icons. Most RE fans and SH fans hate the characters in DBD who are legendary bar Sheva (coz she actually is the quality a legendary should be visually)

Of course, goblin survivors should be fixed up.

Grandpa Daryl should get a new voice.

You are spot on with your post here. I wish BHVR would listen way less than they currently do, because they seem to listen, but not really process what they are listening to. Back then people complained that BHVR would not listen and back then they already listend, they just did not blindly follow the biggest complainers.

If we just look at what happened in the past months, it is honestly a Joke:

They tried to implement meaningful Anti-Tunnel and Anti-Slugging changes TWICE. They pulled it back both times because people complained massively and brainlessly. The right solution would have been to push the initial changes to Live with punishments for tunneling and benefits (not just BPs, but actual gameplay-benefits) for not tunneling. And then work from there, like reducing the punishments if needed and/or increasing the benefits - but this only works if people can actually play under those changes and adapt to them. And basically all what was left from all of this was a Nerf to OTR (a Perk which did not need a Nerf in the first place, even tho this is a minor issue since 40 seconds is still long, but still a Nerf) and 5 seconds of extra Haste after Unhook.

They implemented Fog Vials as a new Item and instead of just letting people play with them for a bit and see if they are actually problematic or Killers would just need to get used to them and new-toy syndrom wearing off, they butchered the new Survivor Item basically immediatly and now nobody is using Fog Vials at all. And since they also managed to nerf Keys and Maps in the same Patch (imagine making the worst Items on the Survivor Side even worse), this resulted in:

    • Chests now even being less viable to open so that even more Survivors will just stick to Gens, since you get more garbage in Chests now
    • A fun and balanced Perk like Dramaturgy being worse because you can now get more garbage
    • And the Bloodweb cluttered with even more Junk than before, while the Survivor Bloodweb actually NEEDS an overhaul because there is so much useless stuff in it on top of the sheer amount of different Bloodweb Items (that they also nerfed Syringes recently on top of that… Some people call it a Buff, but it is obviously a Nerf since healing over time is stronger than getting rid of Exhaustion, the only difference is that with the latter you actually see it happening as Killer, while healing over time was not something you would usually notice)

And last but not least the Pallet Density Update - SOME Maps had Deadzones and those Deadzones NEEDED to be addressed. But other maps which were completely fine also got changed - they added a load of Pallets but also nerfed the Tiles themselves making them weaker or removed some Windows from Main Buildings or some Breakable Walls. But instead of just reverting it to the previous state (which BHVR btw. NEVER does, whenever they messed up, they try to make it better just to make it worse… In German we have a word for it "verschlimmbessern") for most maps and only keeping it for the Maps where it was actually needed (e.g. Haddonfield, some Coldwind Maps), they did a complete 180 and further nerfed the Tiles AND removed Pallets again so that in the end it is worse than before.

And obviously they did listen here again - if you look at their Polls, aside from Haddonfield it was said on all of them that the Maps would benefit Survivors, so they listened and made it completely killer-sided.

The worst part - you will not even see more M1-Killers which people claimed were weakened by it, because why would anyone want to play a M1-Killer like Trapper if they have access to so many far stronger Killers which are also easy to play? But now those strong Killers dont even need to bother with that many Pallets anymore, since most can be easily mindgamed and are not 50/50 but rather 75/25 or so at this point.

I am honestly sick and tired of BHVRs kneejerk reactions all the time. Those three things I mentioned were done in WEEKS after introduction or announcement of a feature because people complained massively. But instead of just bringing it to Live and see from there, they listened to the loud complainers and immediatly took action. It must be so frustrating to work at BHVR to create something, just for the person in charge to come back to you in two weeks to change it completely what you have been worked on before.

And the "best" part about all of that is that DBD is now in a worse state than last year at this time - when they asked us to vote for labor of love (LOL is fitting here…) and AFTER they "Operation Health"-campaign AND with actual content updates delayed because of all of that.

Sorry for using your post for my rant, but you were 100% right with this post and it was just fitting to put it here. Usually in Surveys (except the last one) they ask how likely it is to recommend DBD to a friend and if they would have put the question in a Survey, I would have hit a big 0 on that one.

    No problem.

These sledgehammer solutions are really infuriating for most of us.

It's her hair for me its awful and the fact all the survivor legendaries are caked in so much dirt for no reason, meanwhile the new Rick Grimes cosmetic is pristine no dirt on it at all.

I did a really quick fix on blender to show how bad it is (mine isn't perfect either) the one with the oversized wig is her actual one

    They never make any sense.

I think it's a thing of the cosmetic design evolving.

The earlier cosmetics were more bland, dirtier, less flashy.

Now the cosmetics are like a neon sign.

    "Health update".

Its always one extreme or another with these balance changes. Say Haddonfield is survivor sided and they gut it into a tiny dead zone. Says there's too many strong pallets on maps and they remove 90% of them.

Like what is the logic when making these decisions. How is this a healthy change.

Where? I can't see it anywhere. Never saw one.

Are we playing the same game? If so, what update did you get that I didn't because I am still waiting for her to be fixed… xD

I just had the slowdown bug today my friend, sadly.

Her dog still gets stuck when you send him out for a search. Sometimes he just quits all together going to a location. Theres a bug where when the dog is supposed to vault the window even with the prompt he just keeps going straight. As I mentioned above the very annoying slowdown bug still exist. Her FPS drops massively too when getting a grab its awful. @SoGo

I didn't get a chance to play yet...

But I encountered most of these bugs before, and I'm not sure if I saw anything about them in the patch notes.

  • @Deadman7600 said:

All I [at least] wanted was to have a similar pallet density as when Springtrap released, because most maps were fine when it came to pallet count. I also made clear that decimated borgo and Haddonfield needed more pallets and their buffed form wasn't the worst in the world. The thing we have now is something nobody advocated for, its not an example of "killer crybabies" its an example of BHVR hearing about an issue that could be fixed with a dinky lil hammer and choosing a sledgehammer. I only ever heard people say to revert the pallet changes, not skull merchant pallets.

Every time BHVR makes a mistake the community pounces on the "other side" when there is no other side, pretending there is just obfuscates BHVR's incompetence. It's a video game, these roles shouldn't be your entire identity.

Who wants to play on a map full of 50/50's? Survivors don't, they have less ability to actually survive longer chases. Most Killers I know and know of wouldn't want this either, we actually like challenges, we want to have to try in chase because that's where ALL the fun comes from. That's the point of this game. It's not just survivors who'll hate this and they shouldn't and won't be the only ones up in arms about it.

BHVR, fix it and stop letting your community take the blame for YOUR actions. And stop pretending you "hear us", you don't and clearly never will.

    I don't blame killer mains.

I blame the whiners who want every single facet of this game to be bent in their favor. Those people are the ones who ruin every balance post by insisting on a reward for them.

  • Simple answer.

Tiffany was made a year or so ago.

Cybil has been in the game for at least 3.

Reminder there are people who legitimately think that the devs favor survivors.

They just listen to those who complain most and obey every pathetic braindead demand they make.

We need old BHVR back, the BHVR that did what they saw as best without sifting through the swamp of biased people and attempting to appease everyone.

I really appreciate that BHVR is trying to listen, but I think they listen way too much.

  • That's BHVR for ya!

One day, they throw in 20 new pallets, yeeting years of balance out of the window.

The very next month, they sledgehammer it and oops, now every loop is a trash pallet.

I would like to say I'm surprised... but I'm not.

Where is Autoheaven realm? Gas Heaven went from S tier survivor map to S++ survivor map, and you did nothing with it, really?

Hey, at least Haddonfield got nerfed, right?

  • Sable is the most popular character.

It's simple, the Megheads simply bought her and continued to play exactly as bad as they did before.

  • I feel like it should have the actual effect reduced to 40%. It is apparently 66% now and it shouldn't be.

And of course, it shouldn't affect Freddy Snares and Clown Bottles.

  • Honestly, it is kind of unfair but BHVR likely doesn't want to bother with this.

  • The only nerf I agree with is the one of Vigil, and even then it should be 40% as it was supposed to be.

    Otherwise, no.

  • Old BHVR had the problem of not listening to the community enough.

Now they listen, but it seems like they give in to every demand.

  • It should be at the number it was supposed to be. 40%. It's 66% now.

  • Welcome to old DbD.

Shame this is a bug and not a thing you can achieve with Reagents.

  • It's basically only good for avoiding saves and saving few seconds.

Not having access to hook centric perks is such a small bonus it is pretty much obsolete.

  • Conviction could use a bit of a nerf, mainly making it so it triggers around the 40-50% mark of recovery, not 25%.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/453793/my-item-revisions-vol-4-toolboxes

Bringing toolboxes more in line with each other is a good step because there should be no insane difference between a brown and commodius toolboxes.

However, Sabo toolboxes and their addons should be reverted since they are way too free and strong since their recent buff.

I also wouldn't mind if toolboxes either show your aura to your teammates or you see their aura whenever you hit a skill check on a generator - triggers when you have a toolbox equipped and not only when you work with it. It would help SoloQ a little bit more when it comes to coordination.

However, for the addons, I don't wanna see straight up nerfs or boring adjustments. I wish toolboxes' addons would also enable different fun like killer's addons can do. I have this similar issue with Medkit's addons that they are either boring number things or nothing special. It would be fine if they had a weaker perk version effect or something special that is fun, helpful, but not stupid broken.

    • Giving you the ability to gain a weaker version of Chemical Trap (more gen-progress and a bit less hindered duration).
    • If you finish a generator with a teammate, for the next 50 seconds you both have an increased repair speed of 5% (thus, stacking could be a problem but I rather wish the devs would go back to a stack-prevention like they tried with haste).
    • An addon that always shows you the aura of gens that regress (Rockie Spirit - sure maybe we need to rework or buff the perk then but that wouldn't be bad either).
    • After finishing a generator, for the next 30 seconds, you see the aura of your teammates and for 5 seconds the one of the killer.
    • Whenever you work on a generator, your teammate see the aura of the generator.

I generally know that some addon changes/reworks would replace or outclass current perks but I just dislike BHVRs philosophy that SoloQ needs perks to have less SoloQ issues. In my opinion, these addon could also have addition effects that help SoloQ in one way or another when it comes to coordination. These are the type of additional effects that wouldn't make SWF stronger but SoloQ better.

So, I'm fine with the toolboxes changes but for the addons, I want a little bit fun, uniqueness, and ways to help SoloQ.

I think a partial revert would be better.

Cutting Wire and Hacksaw can go back to what they were, but I would knock down Alex' Toolbox sabo speed to 75% instead.

  • Nice changes.

I would probably exchange Hindered for Deep Wounds.

  • I don't think praise is the ideal response.

BHVR has told us after 2 PTBs, that actually, none of this is going to live, forget it.

That stings, especially since parts of this were undeniably very beneficial.

  • I feel like we should have kept the range, and reverted the logic for it filling up.

Because that way, it won't harm you if you are just passing by.

  • Remove the activation condition.

Make it so it lights up on the first M1, and already starts giving the effect to survivors.

I guess so you don't get limited by drone cooldowns while also not allowing stealth spamming.
