  • I agree with buffing Rotten Swine.

Elixir is fine as is, imo. Remember, it works in Head Form.

    1. We make iri button basekit, it's the most used add on and massively increase the strenght and counterplay planning = if legion vaults pallet in frenzy it breaks and on top of that legion would be granted 10 % haste for 15s as well (Unbound basekit)
    2. Whenever legion enters frenzy, his movespeed is 7m/s and is granted stun immunity for the duration of the frenzy, if you drop pallet on legion in frenzy, the pallet will be automatically broken and Legion's FF speed will decrease from 7m/s to 5m/s for 3s.
    3. Performing damage action replenish full power gauge.
    4. Blinding legion no longer ends frenzy

It's just a suggestion, not a fully thinked topic.

    Yes.

Iri button is an addon similar to Severed Hands for Artist and Rusty Shackles for Hag. Is it strong and somewhat necessary against better players? Yes. Should it be basekit? Nope.

Also, 7 m/s right away, no stuns and Frank's mixtape rammed up to 11 would all feel miserable to play against.

Blinds ending Frenzy is imo not an issue.

So, even tho Legion does struggle a lot, this is not it.

    It happens.

  • I feel like her spit is too easy and using her head is quite hard. A single predrop against a rock formation can be an infinite if played correct.

And yes, her infection is just a hoop she has to get through. Nothing else.

  • I think that is a nice idea.

The speed thing, I mean. The escape attempts are, imo, a bit outdated, and I think a flat number would be better, like 6,5 seconds for example.

But the speed thing is simply brilliant. I did want to add Haste when a survivor is trapped, but this is even better.

i feel so bad because, i got enough bps on most survivors, so i dont really need offerings or bp
i got ######### load of event items, (besides purples but thats nearly impossible to grind for anyway)

i feel so bad with how much clutter bs that survivors get that arent even needed or are not even useful.
most perks are bad, most items are bad (fog-vials, keys, maps)
alot of addons are useless (toolbox, medkit, even flashlight, keys, fog-vials, maps)

on killers, that barely got changed besides maybe a couple of nerfs or rarity changes, the last time i remember was the turning addons for billy being changed, which i grinded to the extremes.

but when i really want iris or any addon, i can just grind for bp easily and get them, meanwhile, if you arent on a event for survivor, you got no reason to play, and most events have dog-######### offerings.

they really need to cut down the useless garbage, because you'll be grinding for days just to have 100 purple flashlights.

"oh just use the black wards" no, i need the bp offering for bp or spawn offering just to play the god damn game

Oh I agree. There are a lot of offerings and item addons and item variations that should be removed or at least adjusted so they are worth anything.

  • I just got a "subtle" hacker

Bro fully blocked me from doing ANYTHING because I grabbed him off of a 99% gen.

Funny how this game just allows that to happen.

I disagree. I think that by making it harder for players to play the way they want to play, the game becomes unappealing when you can't equip the stuff that you want; and it becomes frustrating when you finally do have your setup but lose the match.

Why not just have a shop where players can choose what they want to buy with bloodpoints, as opposed to having to choose from a randomly generated list of options?

This game is kind of strange as opposed to the industry trend: in other games, COSMETICS are RANDOMLY given (e.g. CSGO, Smite), whereas you get to choose exactly the character or equipment you want to play as once you have unlocked them.

In Dead by Daylight, you can get EXACTLY the COSMETICS you want that usually have no effect on gameplay (other than blending in better); however, you're supposed to grind and hope that the things that have a direct impact on gameplay will appear on a bloodweb.

You may argue that bloodpoints are earned in game and not premium currency; but I'd like to point out that most adults do not have too much free time, so if they ARE hopping in on a few matches, they should be given the chance for maximum enjoyment. After all, just like money, time is also a currency.

Because DbD is not the stock shooter everyone apparently wants it to be.

When they changed the add-on colors to "fit in with the industry" my eyes were about to roll 720 degrees.

While the grind is annoying at times, handing players everything day 1 is making it so you have no real progress ahead.

Mirror Shard seems like the scream giving away your EW3 might be more of a detriment than a plus…

Though it might be good for hex builds I suppose 🤔🤔🤔

    Otherwise, good kek. 🤘

Well, considering that he announces it both visually and by audio (Exposed Icon and the Tier Up sound), I'd say he wouldn't have any worries about stealth by that point.

Unless he would run Tombstone Piece.

  • Edit 2:

Swapped some add-ons around, added some changes to make Myers feel more fair and more thematic.

I actually think removing deep wound would be more of an overall buff for him as it'd make vaulting windows and pallets (by far the most unfair part of his kit) much easier, and would no longer allow MFT to counter him.

I do agree though that they should make the injury part of his power much less free since it's literally point and click simulator in its current form.

Maybe, after locking onto a survivor, he would have to time the grab?

I need to explain this so it makes sense. So, imagine this: You lock on for a grab, start the leap, but the skill check happens during the leap, not after. If you hit it, you grab the survivor, and everything goes like normal. If you don't, you just go in the direction you went, without grabbing on.

I’ll go in the opposite direction and say bring back the original Pain Res.

No, I think the current design is much healthier.

Imo, Pain Res is in an ideal place right now. Is it strong? Sure. But it's not overly broken and unless they try to bring back the "rewards for not tunneling" system, there is no reason to change Pain Res.

  • @ShameOnYou said:

Whoever decided to change the Tab key binding needs to be fired. I cannot play the game because I am handicapped. Dead by Daylight hates handicapped people. The UI designer needs to be transparent and just come out and say it.

Possibly close to the truth, considering...

    • The add-on color changes
    • Myers having no VFX to announce he entered Tier 3
    • This.

I think that they don't do this intentionally, but they do neglect large amounts of accesibility issues that exist.

  • @Shaddoll_Serpent said:

Seems a lot like Krasue. Braindead, soulless, boring, with 0 skill expression potential. There's a very worrying trend where they're making killers both too easy and too strong at the same time with no interesting depth to allow any skill expression potential. Myers isn't necessarily the latter, but I think he could use some tweaks to be a little harder to play and unique. I don't agree with removing the turn rate cap, the cooldown needs to be longer, and that addon (I think it's the brush) needs to be nerfed.

Versing him is literally just camping or predropping every pallet preparing to stun/make him break it on the other side and never greed unless there's something to chain into as giving him pallet control results in instant death.

I can get the turn rate being kind of too much, especially now that he can freely use it.

But for the love of the entity, do not increase the cooldown between his strikes again.

The 6 second cooldown felt awful.

In those six seconds, you have no power, and the survivor has ample time to hold W especially if you broke a pallet.

Maybe this is a hot take but I absolutely loathe playing against new Myers.

I'll preface this by saying that prior to the rework, Myers was the killer I enjoyed playing against the most (well, tied with Xenomorph, as I'm a diehard Alien fan). This isn't to say that I escaped against him particularly often compared to other killers—I probably died more than I escaped against pre-rework Myers.

I don't hate new Myers because he's OP or I want him nerfed, I hate him because the rework removed every single thing that made him unique as a killer, that was fundamental to his themes and identity as a character, removed everything that made him frightening or made matches against him tense. On top of that, the rework added accessibility issues that disabled survivor players have highlighted several times.

I hate the Slaughtering Strike, I hate that there's no Exposed status when it's in play, I hate the changes to the musical sting, the speed increase, and I especially hate the basekit Tombstone.

One of the things that made Myers scary was the potential threat of being tombstoned. Nothing was more terrifying than an eerily quiet beginning to a game, only for abruptly, one of your teammates to get tombstoned. The tension, the panic, the fear, it was unparalleled. And the way survivors adjusted their playstyle when they didn't know if Tombstone was in play or not? Brilliant. Now it's just an annoying inevitability. It's not special, it's not scary, it's not tense. If you get hooked for a second time, you just kind of automatically assume you're gonna get grabbed and stabbed.

And truly one of the most terrifying and excellent games of DBD I've ever played was against an infnite tier 1 wallhack Myers, shortly before the rework. Me and my three friends all died, of course, but it was incredible and horrifically scary. Truly if that Myers player is out there, you're amazing.

Additionally, a key aspect of Myers in the game has been the slow stalking approach—it's unnerving because it's unlike any other killer in the game. It's persistance hunting at it's finest. It's the same uneasiness that's provided by the creature in It Follows. Which is something fairly unique in DBD. Or it was, anyway.

After the re-work, Myers just feels…generic. Nothing about him stands out as distinct from other killers in the line up. He's boring. I'd say I like going against him more than I do Plague or Legion, but y'know, that's the bar being on the floor and managing to step over it. Not much of an accomplishment, y'know?

So yeah, I hate new Myers with my entire bitter little soul. He's spectacularly mid and very boring.

As a killer player, I despise the overabundance of audio queues, and the fact that the one visual queue was removed is kind of backwards.

And no the glowing knife does not count, I hate that crap.

  • Honestly, the effect could be kept as a part of it, it's pretty inoffensive. Or added to a different perk, like Hex: Two Can Play for example.

  • The PTB Furtive Chase could be reused for Shadowborn.

  • Less people buy stuff because they're unhappy with the state of the game.

So they probably decide to force us to buy stuff by giving us less free stuff.

Agree. Basekit Plague is fine as is, but her iridescent addons do need to be nerfed and I'd even say Iridescent Seal just needs to be reworked completely, getting corrupt purge on every generator is very overpowered even for an iri and also completely goes against Plague's design of needing to be strategic with the fountains as the addon gives her her power anyway and it greatly diminishes the effect of survivors choosing not to cleanse to limit her power

Maybe something like the Dredge's Field Recorder?

So instead of getting it for every complete gen, she gets it at the start of the Trial and when all gens are done.

  • The main thing you have to do against her is coordinate.

Everyone has to be on a same page.

If you decide to cleanse, ideally do it all at the same time, and with some luck, you can overfill the fountains and give her 1 use of power instead of 4.

If you don't cleanse at all, prerun, loop normally. She is just an M1 killer then.

Also, hide when you hear the TR while she has red puke.

  • This idea does solve the issue of Leeched being basically just a roadblock.

I like it, but I do see a small side problem: as Regurgitate has a very fast cooldown and Krasue can recover fast from it, it may end up creating a strategy of spitting at survivors from point blank/using some maps large amount of geometry to quickly shred through health states by using Regurgitate over and over and then just M1 downing.

  • Update/Edit:

Reworded some parts of the post.

    Removed Ruin from the post.

Adjusted Shattered Hope and the Invocation changes.

Added the newer perks like Hex: Overture of Doom and the new Teamwork perks.

  • Nice add-on rework.

    It seems nice.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

Dead Survivors still triggering certain perks is a recurring bug in this game. Dead Survivors sometimes scream against Face the Darkness, for example.

    No way XD

Sometimes the bugs in this game are comedy g

  • I find this suggestion rather normal.

Weird colisions are annoying to pretty much any killer that has a dash/projectile, so fixing them would be very good.

Aren't we supposed to be in a QOL update anyways?

  • Honestly Slippery Meat should have a different effect altogether.

But this would be a nice thing to add to it.

Also an acceptable alternative solution, though it does comes with some additonal trade offs.

Having a speed boost gives Hag a lot of compensation that hurts people not using S tech disproportionately. A lot of using Hag traps is in your quick reaction decision making, and if the Hag is doing other things and a Survivor hits a trap, she has to decide immediately whether to take the trap or not. A speed boost would reduce that window and make it easier for her to score hits in general with slower reaction times, which might be a little much on none S tech users.

It also allows for a wider net on trap placement at loops to effectively zone. If she gets a speed boost after taking it, it means she can place traps more central at loops and cover a greater effective distance cause she has the ability to close the gap faster once the trap is triggered.

Those things aren't necessarily bad, but they are factors to consider. 😅

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4034909#Comment_4034909

I think it does a good job of disorientating and jump scaring me... I am always alarmed when I hit a trap I didn't expect, and the camera jerk assists with that jump scare. I also don't want to remove the ability to bait trigger a trap, but I want it to take actual skill by takimg a glancing paths and timing inputs to change direction. It's too easy to do with both no camera jerk, and full camera jerk.

I also as a Hag player like using traps as a flashlight protector, cause it messes up pathing and aiming the flasglight, which as a 4.4 melee killer is very much needed. It's one of the many reasons I don't want to use Rusty Shackles... along with: -

    • the fact I hate the fact it removes the jump scare
    • that it allows the Hag player to leisurely take a triggered Trap and removes the snap decision making of Hags gameplay...
    • its also a pain cause it loses the familiar crack of a trap and means I have to stare at the bottom of my screen for the input prompt

I don't consider S tech to be the targeted counterplay.

Hag already has a counterplay that is intended: wiping traps away.

S Tech is, imo, the same as crouch tech. The much easier counterplay that was never supposed to be a thing. The only difference is that Hag is much weaker than say, Blight, Billy or Krasue, and also has additional counterplay that works every time.

  • New skins, sure.

New mori, maybe, if we get purchasable mori animations this might be possible.

Climbing on walls, celings ect.? That is never happening. After Kaneki released we got an explanation that verticality is almost impossible to add into this game, and ideally a killer never truly leaves the ground.

Only exception is Twins and Victor is famous for how buggy he is.

And he is right, the perk is useless now.

  • The way I would "solve" it is by speeding up the Hag by 10 or even 15% for a few seconds after she teleports to a tripped trap.

    They can't S tech against a 120/125% killer, right?

They just remapped the bindings and aren't allowing tab to be rebound? I'm at work so cant check, but is this real?

They switched the match details menu to TAB, because now you get the settings when you press ESC.

Even though they likely could have done it so for example pressing ESC twice would take you straight to settings....

    Hello everyone,

this weekend was horrible for me as a Solo/Duoque player and I have s simple question for my fellow Soloque mates. Why do you queue up when you won´t do a thing.

This is a rant about the mentallity of some Soloque players and why the game often feels impossible to win.

On Saturday i started DbD after a long time to see "How the maps got butcherd and holy ######### some loops are really horrible". My first game was against a bubba, which got his first down 20 seconds in the game on our Vittorio. Well no problem, one gen was half way done. I went for the unhook, healed Vittorio up and went straight back to our gen. Than the s***show started and my mate called out "Vittorio went into a locker."

Short story… Me and my mate and the other random finished all except one gen with 3 people, while Vittorio was hiding all match. He got like 6k BPs after the game.

Beeing me I asked him "Dude why didn´t you do anything? We could have won that round" and he answerd the following; "Well this game was over when it started. I looped the Killer for years and you guys didn´t finished the gens, so why should I do something to help you losers escape?" I was completly buffled. What is wrong with people in Soloque? Are they just this desillusional?

"I looped the killer for years"

    Reality: 20 second chase.

If that happened to me I would start laughing. The guy must have a clock going at the speed of a wind turbine.

  • 🤷

    Really, I have no clue.

  • They should listen to people like Mintskull more.

But that is my personal bias.

  • No, no don't encourage them.

You have an in-game gamma option, use it.

The game is called Dead By Daylight. There shouldn't be any daylight at all.

Ill spend money when the game is fixed. <3

    Amen.

  • Lights Out, but it's fully about staying hidden and gens are replaced by a different objectives, like carrying lanterns to lightpoles to speed up a timer that will eventually power up the gates.

    - Alternative is a sandbag mode where the last survivor standing wins.

Swapping POVs at random, sometimes everyone is in 1st person, sometimes everyone is in 3rd person.

Thing is she won't really work as long lines are visible, because line visibility basically makes drones useless outside of chase.

And even use of drones in chase is highly limited. Quite often she is just M1 killer with stealth and her stealth got nerfed for some reason. Lower CD was not worth a trade in my opinion, at least not for how I played her.

    Stealth mode could come back.

  • I am unsure if I want to see Bone Seller reworked, because I would be very much fine with her getting just buffs.

But I would like more than just a few number buffs and removals of downsides.

  • Well, this is what happens when we let AI decide stuff like this.

The Go-Next detection system is a joke.

  • I don't think ALL of these at once are necessary.

I would also like it if Visionary would guarantee a rare map the first time you open a chest.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I never used either of the medkit iri add-ons back when I played survivor, but I've always been of the opinion that iri add-ons across the board should be strong. Neither were gamebreaking but whatever, who knows why the devs make the decisions they do.

    I agree.

The devs seem to think otherwise though. With every new item, you get awful iri add-ons (Crimson Stamp sucks and is against the idea of maps, Potent Extract directly nerfs you, and Blood Amber's downside make it awful).

    To the topic:

I think that the add-ons could do with a simple nerf and be fine.

Syringe shouldn't have been affected by healing speeds at all (so a 24 second heal every use), and they could make it so you have just 4 charges in the medkit to compensate. Or it could get a Vaccine-like animation to slow things down.

Styptics could get a similar nerf too.

But no, Exhaustion perk stacking and crappy Streetwise it is.

  • I was always of the opinion that a strong killer like Blight should not have amazing add-ons.

Nurse, a killer that is very similar to him in terms of power, has about 6 good add-ons, and the rest are gimmicks.

Blight should be the same. For that reason I believe that add-ons like old Soul Chemical and Summoning Stone were better design for him than, say the speed add-ons.

  • I would like it if her power encouraged placing down drones ahead of time like traps, instead of plopping them down to force survivors to leave a loop.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The issue never was Skull Merchant, it was the meta she was released in.

I mean, the obnoxious and annoying killers named Knight and Singularity (who work similar in regard of completely shutting down whole areas of maps) are still in the game unchanged, just because everyone focussed the hate on that poor girl.

My biggest issue regarding her still to this day is that she got butchered while Singularity just stayed the way he is (and he is WORSE than her as he is far stronger than she ever was → especially chase). There's no killer better than Singularity when it comes to locking down a 3 gen.

I wonder what would have happened if Singularity would have gotten the hate of the 3-gen-meta and not her. He was just safe because people considered his design "cooler", I am certain of that.

To add onto the Singularity problem, he is the main reason why Haywire must stay awful.
