  • I used to be just a Doctor main who would sometimes play other Killers like Spirit, Billy, and Myers.

    Now I am a Doctor and Freddy main who will play the other Killers even less.

  • I've played one Killer game so far at rank 6 on PS4 and it took about two minutes to find a lobby. It might change as the day goes on though.

  • Two reasons:

    1. The Legion exploit was game breaking. It was basically an automatic win for the Killer.
    2. It's a Killer exploit. The devs love Survivors too much to ban them (the old Crotus Prenn Asylum and Wake Up exploits are good examples of this).
  • @Ghostingmyteammates said:

    they made those addons that way so they are not stressfull against survivors. one of the devs themselves said this.

    @Ghostingmyteammates

    I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. Remember, Survivor fun is the most important thing in this game. We got lucky with the new Freddy.

  • Wouldn't that be a good thing? Now when a Survivor goes for a save near you, you'll be able to hit the unhooker instead of the hooked Survivor.

  • Hell no for two reasons:

    1. It'd give every Survivor team the power of an SWF and the devs would probably end up taking a while to start giving Killers the buffs they need to deal with every Survivor having access to comms.
    2. It would tremendously increase toxicity.
  • No, because this would tremendously increase toxicity.

  • 801CE446-C454-41DF-9BBD-FDFBA98A1283.jpeg

    Thankfully it’s going to be fixed tomorrow. Sucks they couldn’t punish anyone for it though.

  • Watch them nerf Dream Pallets (like giving Survivors a way to tell if a pallet is fake), make Dream Snares really good, and make the Pallets part of his base kit instead of Snares. He will also be blinded and slowed right after he teleports for a few seconds. Can't have it being useful, right?

    Hopefully the devs ignore all of the inevitable "Freddy OP" cries tomorrow and prevent another Killer from becoming garbage.

  • There isn't an F tier and Freddy was never that bad. You just had to learn how to play him properly.

    Leatherface, Trapper, and Plague are the Killers that need buffs the most now. I don't think we should rework them because it'll mess up players who have stuck with that Killer from the beginning.

    Being sick against Plague does nothing to hinder your progress, meaning she is a 115% powerless Killer after breaking everyone. At least she can hear the Survivors easier and they're always injured. Trapper's power relies heavily on the Survivor's skill and can easily be disabled. Without his traps, he's a 115% powerless Killer who has to hit the Survivors twice. He also has to take a long time to set up his traps. Leatherface is the worst Killer in the game because he has no power unless he's very close to a Survivor with no nearby objects or he's running the strongest add-ons.

  • No, you should get good at looping.

  • I don't think Balanced Landing is the problem. Nerfing the perk would hurt it on all maps instead of just the one it's broken on. It's more of Haddonfield being heavily Survivor favored. It still has a lot of loops that are basically infinites. Trying to chase a Survivor through them as any Killer other than the top three (Nurse, Spirit, and Hag) is going to be hell. Heck, Spirit and Hag will actually struggle without the right add-ons. Nurse is the only Killer that doesn't need add-ons to combat the insane loops on Haddonfield. It needs to be the next map that gets reworked. Badham might have been easier to fix, but Haddonfield has been broken for far too long. It's the only map where a Killer DCing does not surprise me at all because of how unfun it is to play on.

  • His shock therapy needs more buffs than just increasing his movement speed. His bugs need to be fixed too (especially the one where the stun won't apply at the right time, that really hurts him).

    Also, the Moldy Electrode only increases charge time by 10%. Your first buff idea for the shock would actually end up nerfing it. The High Stimulus Electrode increases the charge time by 30% but increases the range by 75%. You'd be giving him a worse version of that. I would give him these buffs for his shock therapy (the first two are basically what you said):

    1. Increase shock therapy range by at least 25%. The current base range is ridiculously small to the point where you won't even want to use it because you'll be in M1 range. Adjust range add-ons to compensate for this buff if necessary.
    2. Increase movement while charging up the shock to at least 105%. He can lose a lot of distance from just trying to use his shocks.
    3. Remove or significantly shorten the shock delay. This is just dumb, I really don't understand why it exists in its current state. Is it to give Survivors a good chance to dodge the shock?

    As for increasing the Snap Out of It time to 20 seconds, that might be a bad idea because some Survivors will get bored just holding M1. Maybe it could be increased to around 16 seconds (same time as healing and Mending), but I'm not really sure about that.

    A couple of other buffs I would give him to bring him up to top tier are:

    1. Significantly shorten or remove the transition between switching modes.
    2. I was thinking about adding the illusionary pallets to his base kit and have the Order series of add-ons either buff them somehow (maybe make them similar to Freddy's Dream Pallets) or do something new instead (like have the illusions run towards the Survivor and swing or perform some kind of action).
    3. This one is just personal (I'm not even sure if it's true), but the illusions shouldn't spawn on a different floor than the Survivor they're tracking on multi-floored maps like The Game. It's really annoying to check one floor because of the illusion and then find nothing because the Survivor was actually on the other floor.

    Yeah you all are ridiculous. $10 is a reasonable amount for the cosmetics. You all are not even considering the time and money it takes to make these cosmetics.

    On top of that cosmetics comes out between every chapter. And I say within each chapter the average person probably buy 1-2 cosmetics. Based on that we looking at 4 chapters = 8 cosmetics purchases = $80 a year.

    Now it’s fine that you all are never going to buy the cosmetics because there are plenty of us who are fine with the price.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/049/66TF4DJX9JPF.gif

    @Iceman

    Lol sounds like you play waaay too much Fortnite, NBA 2K, and Black Ops 4. You’ve been desensitized to overpriced microtransactions. The only skins that your argument could have a chance of working for are the recent event skins. BHVR has grown enough and DbD has a big enough fanbase to where they can lower the prices and still make a ton of money. They unfortunately let the greed get to their heads when pricing these cosmetics. Also, are you really trying to justify cosmetics costing more than a character? Chapters are $7-8. Paragraphs are $4-5. Individual characters are 500 Auric Cells ($5). You can buy 2-3 new characters for the price of a single skin in a game that normally costs $20-40. That’s absolutely insane.

  • @Onionthing said:

    Wait for a sale? They happen you know ...

    @Onionthing

    They're pretty rare, don't last that long, only for specific cosmetics, and don't even lower the Auric Cell price. You have to save up 21.6k shards in around a week. If you didn't happen to have a lot of shards saved up by the time the sale happens, then you're screwed. I don't think we are told about it until the day of or before the sale, so we have no time to save up shards. It's basically "Hey do you happen to have a lot of shards on you? We're going to put select cosmetics on sale for a week! Oh you barely have any shards saved up? Oh well sucks to be you!"

  • I agree 100%. When the store first I launched I was fine with them because I thought the devs needed to make their money back from creating all of these new cosmetics and that they'd lower the prices soon. They didn't, and now we're stuck with $10-15 outfits. New characters already cost $4-5 and Chapters cost $7-8, depending on your platform. A single skin should never cost more than a new character. There's so many cosmetics that I want but I refuse to pay the current prices. Here's how I would fix them:

    Event cosmetic piece: 300 Auric Cells

    Event outfit: 700 Auric Cells

    Uncommon and Rare cosmetic pieces: 100 Auric Cells

    Very Rare cosmetic pieces: 200 Auric Cells

    Very Rare outifts: 500 Auric Cells

    Uncommon and Rare outfits: 300 Auric Cells

    I'd also release a 100 Auric Cell pack for $1 and a 300 Auric Cell pack for $3. I'm not sure if I'd make the Common cosmetics come with the base game (maybe they could be unlockable through leveling up the character to 50) or just lower the shard price because they're literally just color swaps. They just do something like change your blue shirt to a green one. That's all. Nothing special.

  • Lol you can loop Billy and dodge his chainsaw so easily. He’s far from OP.

  • Why did Freddy get the Dream Snares in his base kit instead of the Dream Pallets? A lot of players believe that the pallets are the stronger ability and that they should have been in his base kit instead of the snares.

  • This is why I think the Cypress Mori should become part of the Killer's base kit. Or maybe just give the Killer a free Ivory Mori until they complete the ritual.

    @johnmwarner said:

    Uhm, Rancor? Devour Hope?

    @johnmwarner

    What if you don't have those perks or Killers (Hag is not included in the base game on PC)?

  • You have got to be ######### kidding me. $10 is already insane. Now they're trying to charge more? BHVR really has been consumed by greed. Unfortunately players will just eat these cosmetics up no matter what, which makes the devs think that these prices are fair. At the most, non-event or licensed outfits should be $5 and cosmetic pieces should be $2. Licensed/event outfits cost $7-8 and the cosmetic pieces cost $3-4. The current prices are insane and probably wouldn't have been accepted by most other game communities. This isn't even a F2P game!

    I don’t get this Billy used to be the second best killer in the game but everyone says spirit is better there wrong I just had a game with billy at rank 10 and 5 and he downs people so easily and people say he could get looped just m1 them and take the stun or use enduring and spirit fury you don’t always have to use the chainsaw if there about to vault or drop a pallet you m1 them with your hammer people say billy is not good anymore but he’s awesome spirit is a tad overrated

    @Firestone45

    Are you trying to say that two games made you believe that Billy is better than Spirit? If so, then lol.

    Billy gets looped easily by good Survivors. He can easily become a powerless Killer. Spirit's mindgames are really strong because they're able to effectively trick Survivors and end loops before they can begin. I think you're either not going against good Survivors with Billy or bad with Spirit and don't want to get better.

    It wasn't created for your opinions. It was just an idea that I liked to share.

    @Bludge23

    Aren't you supposed to give opinions on a forum?

  • Some Survivors are little too attached to their items.

  • I use Ruin, BBQ, PGTW, and Surveillance. However you could probably switch the last two perks out for something like Nurse's + Sloppy. If you want a gen grabber build, you could switch out PGTW for Discordance and use a speed add-on + Prayer Beads. Running M&A on that build instead of BBQ will allow you to get closer to Survivors before they hear your TR. Replacing Surveillance with Haunted Ground or Make Your Choice can be really good as well due to the Spirit's mobility.

  • @Redd said:

    Plague. Would be worried about the diseases. Not afraid to take on any of the others with a 12 gauge and hunting rifle.

    @Redd

    Good luck hitting Doctor when you're going insane.

    The Plague

    Imagine being chased by a 7 foot tall woman puking at you then you start dying from the plague.

    You have to hide and fix generators while dying from a devastating sickness knowing that the crazy lady is after you.

    You couldn't even trust your friends because they could be infected. If they save you you're killing them by giving them a fatal illness if the big lady doesn't first.

    If you try to cure yourself she can use your sickness to turn her puke into acid she'll use to burn you alive.

    @Bbbrian2013

    At least she'll try to kill you instead of just letting her disease do the job. You won't be suffering for long.

  • You’re right, the BP bonus does need to be removed.

    It should be a part of the Killer’s base kit instead. Shorten that grind even more.

  • Doctor because he'll probably torture you.

  • I really, really hate anything allows players to play dumb with little fear of punishment. Borrowed Time is one of those things because the Survivor can unhook in the Killer's face and not have to worry about getting punished for it. I think the only thing it needs is to expose the rescuer. If that happens, then it also needs to apply to the i-frames when unhooking a Survivor (if you're unhooking a Survivor when the Killer is close by, you're basically telling them to put you on the hook and let the other Survivor go) and come with a fix to the Chaser Emblem where Killers get the proper points for an instadown.

    @Mat_Sella said:

    or, or...stop camping the hook. thanks.

    @Mat_Sella

    Do you need your no-skill saves that badly? Is getting into YouTube montages that important to you?

  • He really needs to be able to reset traps without picking them up. It makes no sense that he can't do that.

  • I think you should've gotten out of the low ranks and started playing at the red ranks before asking a question like this.

  • People have more fun playing the weaker Killers.

  • No because it'll probably end up becoming bugged to where more maps than just Badham are affected. Why would this happen? Because it's DbD.

  • You know that Badham was reworked right? Some people are just trying to see how their main will do on there.

  • His Doctor ideas are pretty interesting. Heck, all of his Killer changes seem interesting.

    I love the suggestion for fixing Haddonfield. That map is horrible for any Killer not named Nurse or Spirit with really good add-ons (maybe Hag if you bring the right add-ons).

    If the hook states take 30 seconds longer, then struggling needs to change from mashing a button to stay alive to pressing a button to stop struggling. I don't want to be mashing one button for 90 seconds straight. However, I would still prefer secondary objectives over increasing the gen repair times and hook state duration.

  • BBQ and Chili because of the double BP and it can give some pretty good information.

    Mad Grit because of the bug in the PTB. It's hilarious.

  • @Peanits said:

    Doctor is definitely on the list and we do plan on revisiting him at some point.

    @Peanits

    Yes! Can't wait for zappy boi to get some love! He should be pretty easy to fix because he doesn't require anything too big. I have some ideas for Doctor buffs to help get him to top tier, mainly just number changes:

I really don't understand why this exists in its current state. Is it to give Survivors a good chance to dodge the shock?
    4. Shorten or remove the transition between switching modes.
    5. I was thinking about adding the illusionary pallets to his base kit and have the Order add-ons either buff them somehow or do something new (like have the illusions doing things like moving and trying to attack the Survivor), but I'm not sure about it.
    6. This one is just personal (I'm not even sure if it's true), but the illusions shouldn't spawn on a different floor than the Survivor they're tracking on multi-floored maps like The Game. It's really annoying to check one floor because the illusion and then find nothing because the Survivor was actually on the other floor.

  • I have no clue. It was fine before 2.6.0. You used to only have to make sure nobody escaped. Now you have to get a double pip (Merciless Killer, sometimes the Ruthless Killer message will show up instead, however it's just a bug and you should still get your double pip). With the new ranking system, getting a double pip can be a decent challenge to nearly impossible. The previous version was 100% fine and it baffles me as to why the devs changed the requirements.

  • Depends if both players can access it. Like that one small loop on Suffocation Pit where a pallet is between some rocks and I think some crates, both Survivors and Killers can climb onto the rock, so it's not bannable. If one side cannot climb on an object at all, then it'd probably be bannable. Besides, I'm pretty sure it'll be very hard for Billy to find a spot that he can climb onto and chainsaw off of reliably.

  • Scrubvivors are already calling him OP and crying for nerfs unfortunately. It seems to be hard for Killers to get and keep new tools that are at least halfway decent.

  • Do we have to get the perk or will the Entity eventually eat it if there's nothing else left? I'd much rather take an add-on I like or a Mori instead of a perk that I might not even use.

  • What? You realize this would make the grind absolutely horrible, right?

  • Leatherface needs a rework because he is basically a 115% M1 Killer. He's the worst Killer in the game right now.

    Doctor, Trapper, Plague, Pig, Legion, and the other M1 Killers need add-on and base kits buffs and bug fixes instead of a full-on rework.

  • I don't think so. It would be a bad idea anyways because Freddy's already using up an add-on slot for the pallets. It would suck to get this cool new rare add-on only to have it rendered nearly useless because of an item.

  • Our lord and savior Herman Carter, also known as the Doctor.

  • You should still get points if the doors are open for Gatekeeper because you're still able to prevent Survivors from escaping, it's just much harder. The game isn't over until the last Survivor dies or runs out of the gate. It would suck to pull off a last minute comeback only to have the the Gatekeeper Emblem just completely ignore it.

    @anarchy753 said:

    Mostly I like it BUT:

    • Devout currently requires 9 hooks min for iridescent, toned down from 10 because DCs and deaths on hook ruin it, however a minimum hook requirement promotes healther play. They would be unlikely to remove this as a requirement.
    • Instadowns should be based on killer powers, as it means effective use of the killer. Instadowns from perks are perks to make the game far easier and should not award double points.
    • Plague's power should be classed as an instadown if they do not cleanse for X seconds.

    You'll always struggle with Devout against hook suicides and DCs. That's why the hook requirement needs to go. Survivors shouldn't have that much control over a Killer's Emblem. I would just say screw promoting healthier play and give Killers control over their Emblems.

  • Between this and the Emblem system, the devs are simply trying to force Killers into playing a certain way.

  • We need a secondary objective instead of just increasing gen repair times. People are already bored of holding M1 for the entire match.

  • I wonder if the devs even thought about the Emblems before changing them in patch 2.6.0. Killers don't really have any control over them. Gatekeeper is basically "bring Ruin or PGTW or you're #########", Devout and Malicious can easily be ruined by Survivors DCing or dying on the first hook, and Chaser outright punishes some Killers for using their power. Here is how I would fix the Emblem system for Killers:

    Gatekeeper: based on how long you were able to keep the Survivors from getting out the door or Hatch, not how many gens you can protect. Survivors are currently in control of this one because they can just gen rush at the start and make getting points in this Emblem really hard.

    Devout: Each hook stage and DCs give you full Emblem points. Survivors can easily deny you your Devout points by DCing or suiciding on hook. This change would prevent them from doing that.

    Malicious: DCs and deaths on first hook give you enough Emblem points to compensate. Same thing as Devout.

    Chaser: Putting a Survivor into the dying state straight from being healthy will give you double the Chaser points and maybe lower the amount of chases required for Iridescent Chaser. This will not punish Killers for using their power.

  • Anyone who isn't Nurse or Billy is a mediocre noobstomper, even though there's tons of evidence to prove otherwise.
