Hopefully this means we’ll end up having the Bloodhunt and Withered Blight going on at the same time, unless the Bloodhunt also gets pushed back.

*laughs at wasting a perk slot*
Wasting a perk slot? So a possible 40% reduction to repair and healing speed is bad? You don’t even need to get all of the stacks for Dying Light or Thana to make slowdown Plague scary. Survivors will have to choose between not cleansing and dealing with longer repair times or cleansing to remove Thana but having to deal with a 115% ranged Killer.

Thanatophobia’s not good on anyone, don’t use it. Very weak perk numerically, you’re better off using that slot for something else.

I've had these ideas for a couple of months now. I think adding all of these ideas would bring him up to the top 5. I'm not sure about ideas for adjusting the other add-ons (he doesn't meet the current Killer add-on standards).
- Increase shock therapy range by at least 25%. The current base range is ridiculously small to the point where you won't even want to use it because you'll be in M1 range. Adjust range add-ons to compensate for this buff if necessary.
- Increase movement while charging up the shock to at least 105% (yes, this is a different stat from movement speed while just walking in Treatment mode). He can lose a lot of distance from just trying to use his shocks. Currently he moves at 85% speed while charging up the shock, which is way too low.
- Remove the shock delay. This is just dumb, I really don't understand why it exists in its current state. Is it to give Survivors a good chance to dodge the shock?
- Significantly shorten or remove (if it wouldn't make him too strong) the transition between switching modes.
- Add the illusionary pallets to his base kit. They would spawn within an unlimited range of the Doctor every 20 seconds (like the current version of the Very Rare Order add-on). If the pallet spawns standing up, then the Survivor can drop them (similar to Freddy's Dream Pallets).
- Have the Order series of add-ons make the illusions perform some kind of action to make up for illusionary pallets becoming part of his base kit. The common version should just have the illusion run towards the Survivor and swing at them. The uncommon version should have the illusion lunge at the Survivor and will switch to Treatment mode when near a pallet or vault location. A new rare version (Order - Class III) would allow the illusion to kick a gen or pallet or open a locker and then start looking for the Survivor. The very rare/Iridescent King version would allow the illusion to perform any interaction and then start hunting down a Survivor to initiate a fake chase. There is a chance to have a second illusion appear close by to catch you off guard. The Iridescent King version would also let the illusion's attacks pretend to hurt you (would most likely activate at Madness 3). This part might sound a bit confusing, but you would look and act like you're injured from your perspective. You would look completely normal from the Doctor's perspective. After the effect wears off, there would be an increased amount of electricity on the sides of the screen to tell you that everything was fake. If you happened to use something like Dead Hard and you got hit or the effect wore off right after, the image of Doctor's face would appear as you get pulled back to your previous position to tell you that it wasn't a hitbox or internet issue and that you were dealing with an illusion. You can have Survivors waste their DH on an illusion. They could also end up wasting a pallet or running for a "hook save" based on what your illusion was doing.
- This one is just personal (I'm not even sure if it's true), but the illusions shouldn't spawn on a different floor than the Survivor they're tracking on multi-floored maps like The Game. It's really annoying to check one floor because of the illusion and then find nothing because the Survivor was actually on the other floor.
- New Ultra Rare add-on: Dr. Otto Stamper’s Files. The static field becomes map wide and shock therapy range is increased by 50% but the charge time is slightly increased (10%). This will not stack with the Order add-ons (they increase madness gained from the static field).
-
Unfortunately, the devs seem to be very lenient when it comes to bans. The only reason I can think of is that they're afraid of accidentally banning an innocent player.
-
The devs are supposed to be implementing a husk system with or after the launch of dedicated servers. If the Survivor DCs, their body will stay behind and you can interact with it. The Hatch most likely won't open until the husk bleeds out or is hooked/moried.
-
99.99% chance this guy runs a super tank build as Survivor or he's baiting.
-
I would use something like this:
Ruin/BBQ
Dying Light
Thanatophobia
PGTW
Ruin can help you in the early game, but you could replace it with BBQ if you don’t think you’ll need it or want to become a tracking god with BBQ + Black Incense.
Dying Light is almost a must have on her. The downside isn’t as crippling because of everyone being sick. DL combined with Thana can scare Survivors into cleansing because they don’t like the slow repair speed.
Thanatophobia punishes them for staying sick. This plus DL can encourage Survivors to cleanse. The Survivors will have to choose between not cleansing but having to deal with long gen times or cleansing but having to deal with a 115% ranged Killer.
PGTW is a really good perk in general but Plague can extra use out of it because of her slowdown potential. It already takes a while to repair a gen with Thana and DL, but now the Survivors have to worry about you taking away 25% of their progression after you hook someone?
For add-ons, I would go with one of the Apples (start with one corrupted fountain) and the Vile Emetic (increases effectiveness of Vile Purge, meaning that the Survivor gets sick quicker). You could probably replace one of them with Black Incense (see puking Survivors’ auras) if you want to be a tracking god.
-
It’s because the game was forced to put a pallet there in order to meet the minimum requirements. It’s kinda common on Rotten Fields because that map is just a bunch of corn.

Spirit Fury and Enduring combo is really good on him. I would recommend talking out whispers because I don't think it's really that useful on him.
Ruin is also a good choice but it is very luck based and a lot of the time survivors will cleanse it very early on in the match.
Bamboozle is also a good choice if you want to shut down powerful loops quickly.
You should try these and see which one you like the most. These are the ones I would recommend out of your list.
Why do you think Whispers isn't useful on Billy? Is it because of him not really being a stealth Killer?
I've been running Ruin on Freddy for a while now and I've been having some decent luck with it.
I think I will play around with different perks on Billy after this and see what I like the best.
@Nikkiwhat said:
Enduring or Bamboozle and Dying Light are my personal optimal picks from what you posted. Dying Light is a surprise hit that people underestimate outside of Plague & Freddy slow builds. If you're decent or great as Billy, you'll be getting some fast hooks and get quite a few stacks up fast and in combination with PGTW & Billy's fast ability to zip to Gens for hard regression.
Enduring or Bambizzle are great depending on if you get window vaulted a lot or pallet slammed more. It also depends what your mindgaming is like for loops if you need Bambizzle or not
I have played with DL a little bit on Demogorgon, and while it was only at tier 1, I could definitely feel its impact.
@PalletOrWhat said:
You are already using 4 good perks. To compare my build looks like this:
Whispers (god tier) ; BBQ ; Endurig ; something else - That's actually what's best about Billy. You can try different perks. For the fourth slot I use Infectious Fright; Nurses Calling or POP for example. I have played Spirit Fury a few times, but this perk does not help you to improve your skills.. rather the opposite is the case if you ask me.
I have heard that about Spirit Fury and it definitely seems like a legitimate concern. It does seem like it would be satisfying to instantly destroy a pallet in a Survivor's face though.
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
When in doubt pick Monstrous Shrine.
Oh man how I could forget it! Most underrated perk in the game by far.
@Elk said:
Surveillance can be a good one, you get to see if someone touched your gens. The draw back would be if survivors catch on like Spirit Fury, they can take advantage of that.
What do you by them catching on? Like they keep on tapping the gen once and then leave to keep me from leaving? The Survivors I go against don't really seem to catch on too quickly then when I'm using Surveillance on Freddy.
@MrDardon said:
I run Pop Goes the Weasel, BBQ, Infectious Fright and Enduring
I hate Enduring/Spirit Fury just as same as Bamboozle because those Perk combos reward you for playing bad.
- Pop is my new Main Perk since I hate Ruin also.
- BBQ for points and information
- Infectious also for information (it works good with BBQ also. Survivors are either far away and I get to see them with BBQ or they are close and I see them with Infectious, if they are outpositioned I chase them down also.)
- Enduring for pallet hit grabs and less stun. (Some people throw pallets the wrong side around and Enduring punishes this miss play with a grab cuz of the short stun time.)
I don't really use consistent Add-Ons because I like switching them up. But that's pretty much my main Perk Build. But I switch some things up sometimes also.
I completely forgot about Infectious Fright and using Enduring for pallet hit grabs.
I can see the argument about Spirit Fury and Bamboozle. I was considering Bamboozle mainly for really big loops and areas that Billy really struggles with.

you can also replace ruin for corrupt Intervention when you start going higher up the ranks
Corrupt? That’s an interesting choice. I’ve always looked at it as a setup perk for Killers like Trapper and Hag. Is it to help slow down the gens once Survivors start working through Ruin?

Devour Hope for delicious matches every now and then. 🤩
Any other Perks for boring ol' meta. 😜
I used to run DH a lot and it was really fun when it worked. Definitely want to go back to those times.
Thanks for the help guys!
-
I really hope so. I'm pretty sure the devs can change the requirements on all platforms, but not the descriptions unless the achievement becomes impossible. Maybe it should just be something like grab a Survivor after blinking X times.
-
Not really. A lot of the pallets there are pretty unsafe.
-
Three reasons:
- Some players like bullying lower ranked players for a week.
- They're trying to get back up to red ranks ASAP, and the lower ranked players are caught in the crossfire.
- Survivors are trying to use up their instaheals before the nerf and Killers are trying to play as much Nurse as they can before her changes.
If you really want to try out different Killers, then I would wait at least a week after rank reset before playing again. Give players time to get back up to red ranks.
@Thasard said:
Well, rank reset is when you are unequally paired up with people you should have no right to be paired with.
When you go in as a Rank 2, you should be playing with Ranks 8 and up. When you drop down to 10, you should be playing with Ranks 16 to 4 per matchmaking. Even though there are some deviations because survive with friends and the game literally trying to find you a game before you quit and play something else, you are still likely to play with players that will pummel you.
Also, it doesn't matter when in the month I play, provided the game is working (there have been a lot of game forced DCs as of late on PS4), I'm always playing to immediately destroy Hex: Ruin because most killers check that first and then I go where they are running away from, and then gen rush to attempt someone from escaping.
How do you know they're leaving their totem? Do you just check everywhere behind them? That seems like it could end up being a huge waste of time.
-
I never show mercy during my Killer games. Even if it looks like I'm showing mercy, I'm not. You're still going to die, but there's other things that I need to focus on first. Just don't go out of your way to make the games unfun. Like don't target one Survivor and make their experience as miserable as possible or go in intending to make the game last an hour. If one of those things happens to occur even though you aren't trying, then don't sweat it, especially if it's a Survivor complaining that the game was unfun. Their idea of fun could easily involve bullying the Killer all game and the fact that you killed them fair and square is upsetting them.
-
Soon, hopefully in the next patch. Seems like the devs are finally cracking down on the rest of the OP stuff in the game. :)
-
Hag
Billy
Freddy
Huntress
-
I hate how loud the Killers are, especially Demogorgon. Their SFX volume needs to be lowered on their side.
-
That's hilarious and sad. That player most likely has it pasted somewhere, ready for any match.
-
We can mess with Freddy's slowdown after the problem of gen speed is fixed.
-
I really hope they’ll change it. Nurse’s add-on rework makes this nearly impossible to do against decent Survivors. Maybe it could be changed to something like just grabbing a Survivor after blinking? The devs definitely can change at least the achievement requirements on all four platforms (they’ve done it before).
-
Doctor because of his laugh, power, and looks.
Freddy because of his new power.
Demogorgon because I really like that it's a monster.
-
If I feel like the others are focusing gens on one side of the map, then I'll try to move to the other to help prevent a three gen strat. If I see two gens close to each other, I'm going to do one of them ASAP just in case a third gen is nearby.
The one gen that I'm not entirely sure what to do with as both sides is a shack gen.
-
I do, and I don't want to go back to those times. MoM was broken as hell.
-

The purple one now gives you a borrowed time effect for 15 seconds, and the red one heals you passively for 8 seconds.
That sounds pretty good.

See here's my problem if I don't have any chance to jump in, how is it fair game. See the meaning of fair is for both sides of anything to be able to beat the other side by being better not having a given advantage.
A 1v1 isn’t supposed to be fair though. Killers are always supposed to have the advantage in that situation. What’s most likely happening is that the game is registering the Killer’s button press before yours. You’ll just have to get there faster.
But if we decide to give a 10 second timer to closing the Hatch for some weird reason, then it should take the Survivor at least 15 seconds to jump in. You can be interrupted while jumping in.
-
I wonder if more money is put towards the cosmetic and event design teams. It seems like they’re the top priorities. Some of the things you listed should've been added or fixed already.
How did Friday the 13th pull off dedicated servers while battling a lawsuit but DbD took three years to add them? Why are there so many perks, items, add-ons, offerings, and even Killers that are either nearly useless or have serious problems? I know that not everything is going to be top tier, but they also shouldn’t struggle so much. BHVR also seems to just slap on things like Devotion, Prestige, and the ranking system (especially the ranking system, that thing is HORRIBLE). Gen rushing and SWF strength are some of the game’s biggest problems and it’s taken the devs years to think about addressing them. Problems that big should’ve been fixed by now.
-
Because in order for the devs to notice a Killer problem, it needs a decent sized uproar most of the time.
-
Hopefully.
-
Doctor. At least the other Killers aren’t trying to make you suffer and will kill you quickly. Doctor will do all kinds of experiments on you (including trying to resurrect you multiple times) in the name of science. He’d keep you alive until your body is completely useless to him.
-
You want a stronger Doctor? Alright, I’ll give you one:
- Increase shock therapy range by at least 25%. The current base range is ridiculously small to the point where you won't even want to use it because you'll be in M1 range. Adjust range add-ons to compensate for this buff if necessary.
- Increase movement while charging up the shock to at least 105%.
- Significantly shorten or remove the transition between switching modes.
- Add the illusionary pallets to his base kit. They would spawn within an unlimited range of the Doctor every 20 seconds (like the current version of the Very Rare Order add-on).
- Have the Order series of add-ons either buff the illusionary pallets somehow (maybe let the Survivor drop them if they’re standing) or do something new instead (like have the illusions perform some kind of action).
Most of this idea came from @Mister_xD.
There you go. Super strong Doctor.
-
It's way too easy to stop the regression. Forcing the Survivor to repair the gen for two seconds would be a good idea. If you want to stop the regression right in the Killer's face, then you deserve to be grabbed or hit.
-
Legion
They’re basically a 115% Killer with no power in most situations. Unless the Survivors are close together, chances are you’ll only hit one of them with your power.
-
I have the most fun with Doctor, Freddy, and Demogorgon.
-
@thedevalex said:
Freddy in general is crappy fps
I haven’t really had any problems with Freddy up until today. Now that I think about it, Doctor was hurting my FPS more than he normally does, so I’m starting to wonder if it’s the patch, and not the Killer or the map, that’s causing problems.
-
Most of those are unsafe though.
However, playing Freddy on Hawkins ######### with your FPS. I just finished playing him there and it did not feel good at all. Everything felt choppy.
-
I'm surprised that this wasn't in the game when LF released. Can't the devs make DCs count as hooks for BBQ like they do for the Devout Emblem?
-
Killers aren't playing with you because you're a full SWF. They're probably afraid that you guys are going to be one of those toxic/super sweaty groups who just want to make your experience as ######### as possible and deny you BP during the Bloodhunt.

It's not 4k, it's merciless killer or whatever. They changed how the game determines what makes you a merciless killer.
It was a still a 4k after the Emblems were released. You could still get the Adept if you got a 4k, even if you were a Ruthless Killer. The devs didn't change the Adept requirements from just a 4k to Merciless Killer until 2.6.0. The achievement descriptions were never changed though. They've always said the same thing.
-
I'm surprised the devs haven't done anything about this. The Hatch should stay closed for at least 30 seconds after a Survivor DCs. Besides, DCing is never an intended strategy while slugging is. Hopefully the people who do this get punished in some way.
-
I'm just going to play normally. I already have BBQ 3 on my Doctor and Freddy, so I'll be getting at least 70-90k BP a game. Just need to get it on my Demogorgon. I'm hoping to get both Demogorgon and Plague to level 40. I might prestige Demogorgon if I think the bloody outfit is worth it.
-
What if we have a Mori daily? That's 60k BP.
-
No, please no. He doesn't need another nerf. He didn't need it last time and he doesn't need one now. Slowing a Killer down while using their power should only exist when it's absolutely needed.
-
I started playing after the Victory Cube was implemented. It was a simple but flawed system.
You would get points for each hook state the Survivor reached and when they died. Getting four sacrifices was a double pip. Crybaby Survivors couldn't DC or suicide to deny you hook points (which was my favorite thing about the Victory Cube). However, it encouraged camping a Survivor to death. Killers who only cared about pipping could make you have a really ######### experience. It also didn't count your gen pressure or anything else, meaning that if you did a good job at slowing the game down but couldn't get more than one kill, you had a chance to depip. If you got multiple hooks on the Survivors but only managed to kill one, you could also depip.
If you got gen rushed but capitalized on Survivor mistakes during the endgame or brought NOED 3 (back then NOED only had the instadown part at tier 3), you would double pip. You were getting the highest reward for doing poorly most of the game or bringing a perk.

I only played a single game as doctor but i get the appeal. Driving people insane is great! Watching people run around freaking out is hilarious! On the survivor end however the frustration i experience is extreme. For the same reason im garbage in a chase the random place ment of skill checks just destroys me lol I cant hit them.
Freddy pallets are great but question. do SWF or the perk ummmmm i forget what its called but it notifys you of toems and traps i think counter this heavily?
I will now investigate these cosmetics and see if i could pretend to be Keanu for a bit
We talking the movie or the comics?
I think the cosmetics were similar to Keanu's E3 clothing.
Doctor is definitely very fun. I've been playing him since September 2017. It can be harder to do good with him at high ranks unfortunately.
Freddy's pallets can be hard countered by SWF and Small Game, but they also rely on memory and map knowledge. SWF players can still make a mistake and Small Game could also detect a nearby totem instead of the Dream Pallet. They also are wasting time if they throw them down outside of a chase. If you're chasing a Survivor while slugging another one and someone else is dropping your pallets, then that's three Survivors not on a gen. You set them up quickly and are not slowed while doing so.
-
The same perks I've been using on my mains for months. BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving, and Overcharge for Doctor and BBQ, PGTW, Surveillance, and Ruin on Freddy. All of these perks have helped me out a lot and I love using them. I don't think I'll ever replace them.
As for the newer perks, I've been having fun with Surge lately.
-
Killers (not ordered):
- Doctor is very fun to play as and I love his power. His cosmetics are also badass.
- I love using Freddy's teleport to surprise Survivors. It's also really satisfying to trick Survivors with the Dream Pallets.
- I love using Demogorgon's power to control the gens and intercept Survivors. Using Shred is also very fun, I can't wait for 3.2.1 to come out so I can start breaking pallets with it. I also love the roar cooldown. Sometimes I'll find myself trying to imitate the Demogorgon's roar while playing.
Survivors (not ordered):
- Laurie because I'm a big Halloween fan.
- Jeff because his cosmetics can make him look like Keanu Reeves from E3.
- Adam because he has a cosmetic set that looks like Killmonger from Black Panther.
-
Upon missing an Ambush Attack, the Pig will be stunned and unable to crouch for 4 seconds.
-
It's because the majority has unfortunately never reached rank 10 and the devs are balancing around them.
-
I use Ruin, PGTW, BBQ, and Surveillance with a Dream Pallet add-on and Red Paint Brush.
PGTW is god tier on Freddy because of his gen teleport.
Surveillance tells me what gens are being worked on so I know which gen I need to teleport to. Really powerful with PGTW.
BBQ also helps me with teleportation because I teleport in front of a Survivor or to a gen that's being worked on. It's really satisfying to teleport in front of a Survivor and hit them because they weren't expecting it.
Red Paint Brush forces Survivors to run to their wakeup object if they want avoid my pallets (the ones I encounter like to wake up, so it helps slow the game down).
Dream Pallets can catch a Survivor off guard and if a Survivor decides to drop them when not in a chase, they end up wasting time. Freddy puts them up quickly and he isn't slowed down while doing so. It's also really satisfying when a Survivor thinks that they're real and drops them, only to see the pallet explode and Freddy's claws slicing through their body.
