It was never any competition about it, Dredge cosmetics always wins no matter what.

It's time like these i wish we were able to choose menu background and music.

This would be a great chapter. I feel like his use of the ball would be super similar to Pinhead and his teleporting hooks, however.
Super creepy classic film and would be great to see.
Actually i think it would be closer to that of Twins with the Sentinels and Dredge's teleportation between lockers with the Dimensional Fork, but even then it can still be different enough from those powers to stand out from them enough.

Anything that Dowsey says or claims should always be taken with a grain of salt.

I would give Jonah even more tomes.

People on dbd twitter are talking about this it looks like such a cool franchise I can't believe Im just hearing about it does it have a good survivor and map option?
Yeah i'm aware and you're right, it's a really great franchise and i cannot recommend it enough for people to watch.
Frankly I'm super happy that more and more people are talking and learning about it and i really appreciate Paulie for spreading the word about the franchise and hopefully increasing it's chances of coming into the game.
As for Survivor, assuming it would be a full chapter and not a paragraph, it would have to be Mike and Reggie as the main Survivors with Jody as a Legendary skin for Mike and Reggie's ice cream vendor outfit for him.
In terms of map, for me it should either be the Morningside Mausoleum from the 1st movie or the Mausoleum from the 3rd movie.
-
Why settle for a measly minion when instead you could go for the giant cosmic eldritch spider goddess in the sky?

BHVR: "Really, we don't know what to do anymore. Lady Dimitrescu's kill rate wad waaaay over the top and through the roof. We nerfed her 4 times and reworked her twice, but nothing seemed to work! So we had to kill switch her."
Inb4 they give her the pyramid head treatment and nerf her butt.

The most requested legendary skins for me will always be a Butterball & Female Cenobite skin for Pinhead.
-
Female Cenobite and Butterball legendary skins for Pinhead as well as a blighted skin for as many licensed characters as possible is all i'm asking for here.
-
No and good riddance to it.
-
No thanks, they frankly look like downgrades to the moris we have on main dbd.
-
Only good one imo is perhaps Ace, other than that they're all pretty bad.
-
No.
Never again.
-
Should keep the live version as the music survivors hear while the ptb version is what the killer hears.

Yeah I liked PH's PTB theme more. I think it fits with him way more.
Gonna have to disagree with that, the ptb version has more of a SH1 vibes to it while the live version sounds closer to that of SH2.
-
No.
Hope they never bring any of it back.

Butterball & Female Cenobite legendary skins for pinhead.

as i understand it bhvr originally got the rights to pinhead from park avenue entertainment, who lost the rights last december after a lawsuit from clive barker. i think this might be why pinhead's voicelines were gone for a while and were re-added with doug bradley after the licenseholder changed. maybe asking someone from bhvr directly could help though, i might be wrong
They didn't lose the license completely, the ownership of the first hellraiser movie within the US is what they lost to clive, they still retain ownership of the first hellraiser internationally aswell as every other hellraiser movie.
It the same deal with a Nightmare on elm street between craven estate and new line cinema.
The voice lines were most likely gonna come regardless of Clive getting part of the license back or not.
-
I hope they never bring it back.

Not in a ######### million years would i ever miss going back to playing old dbd again.
I say good riddance to it all, especially the old aesthetics and the original versions of all the maps that got changed during the Realm Beyond.

there are a bunch of legal whats-its that have to be addressed before he can make it inot this game, however, trapper is kind of this versions jason.
I would LOVE jason to be in the game, but realistically speaking, i wouldnt hold your breath for it to be any time soon.
Since the lawsuit is over, i expect at least 2-3 years to pass before he'll be up for grabs again.

DBD needs Jason
He is the only missing link (Besides maybe Chucky?)
We have Freddy, Ghostface, Myers, Bubba and Pinhead
With Jason, the whole crew is here.
Not only that, it will also mark dbd as the first game ever to legally do it.
It would only add to the growing list of things dbd has been the first ever to do.
-
I for one am frankly glad that they're gone and do not miss 'em one bit, especially Autohaven.
-
Same here, along with the cosmetic for deathslinger and doctor.

Only truths can be found in this thread, morb on.

When i checked the player count at the time on steam, …
Funny how the people who posted about Steam Chart numbers the last few months all of a sudden stopped talking about them now that May had a 7% gain. Hmm…. 🤔
Something i noticed prior to the anniversary stream, the numbers on steam chart had halted around 29K and was fluctuating primarily between -300 to -700 throughout the entirety of april and some weeks into may, however while it was still in the minus, it was slowly rising through the red numbers until it became green again in may, then the anniversary stream came and now the numbers are rising faster.

Twisted and mangled horse abomination skin for Dredge when?
Would also have distorted horse squeal sounds as SFX when attacking.

Ok, i'm not gonna argue that, I just wanted to point out the thing that "bothered" me from her release, that she's not a killer. I hope she'll get motivation in chapter books, but, let me say clear, the 90% of players won't be bothered by dwelling into books lore. Most of them will stop at killer description lore. And I believe 90% is optimistic estimation, in reality it is much much higher.
As a regular average player, I see her as another victim of circumstance, not a killer. Amanda is a killer. Sadako is a killer. Rin is a killer. Anya is a killer. Carmina? Not in a slightest.
Anyway, it's all was just a suggestion.
Yes i'm aware alot of people don't bother with the tomes, however i do think there are enough who do and that it's more than what you assume it to be, but without statistics to back up how many then it's anyone's guess really.
Yes i'm aware it was just a suggestion and if you want her to be more like a killer, then more power to you. I was just giving my thoughts on the suggestion you were providing and the idea of rewritting or adding some more elements to carmina's lore and to the extend rewriting of any lore in general, which i am honestly 100% against and don't think is needed at all, because i think creating consistency between killers and survivors by make most or all killers evil prior before being taken and most or all survivors good people prior before being taken would drag the quality of the lore down.
We may not agree with one another and that's perfectly fine, we can just agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I have bought everything this game has to offer.

That's completely not true. We don't want to rewrite because "someone don't like them", we want to improve them because now they have huge holes in it.
But if lore is totalitaristic area and word of developers is the law, and community have to obey or else, why this subforum exist anyway?
But that's the thing, what you call an improvement will not be considered an improvement by everyone, and so once a lore has been rewritten then someone else want to rewrite that rewritten lore another way because they think it would be better, and then someone else wants to rewrite it again, etc.
Also the base lore for character is just an overview of the lore itself for that character, it does not go full depth on details in the lore for that character, that's why we have the tomes to give us more details and explaination on things and fill out the holes of the character that was missing from the base lore. It's also why i rather have more tomes for killers like Hag and artist because there is room for more exploration of the character than what is currently shown and told.
If we're going to have more evil female killers like Julie, Susie and Amanda then i rather have newer characters be that instead of changing existing character's lore just for the sake of it.
I never said that the lore was totalitaristic, if the devs changes it because the community wants it then i'm not gonna stop it, i just don't believe it's the right move and i would frankly be a bit bummed about it.
-
I don't think we should rewrite stories just because people don't like them.
If we were to rewrite stories everytime because someone disliked one, then we would be rewriting them forever.

I agree, sadako doesn't necessarily need an anti-loop to be good.
Her problem is that she is basically bad at everything she does. Her teleport is bad, her stealth is bad and her slowdown is bad.
if she was good at the things she was supposed to do l think she would be a decent killer.
All the more reason to look forward to her mid chapter update whenever it comes, i know i do.
-
I always use charms that is related to the character's lore, power, weapon and a figurine of the character itself. If the character ain't no character specific charms then i just throw something random on them every match to get something different to look at everytime.
-
It frankly depends on what you're looking for in a killer in terms of power and playstyle.

The guy in the video glosses over some important aspects of Jonah's lore to support his whole horrible evil irredeemable CIA war criminal reading. The way he words it, you'd think Jonah dropped the bombs himself with a big grin on his face and then sent taunting letters to the grieving families. The rebels in his story are not good guys, they used civilians as meat shields by deliberately including civilian whereabouts as decoys. The CIA had no way of knowing that this would occur, and it is ultimately due to the rebels that those civilians lost their lives in the first place. Jonah is just a small part of why it happened. The person who dropped the bombs is just as, if not more responsible than he is, as he just decided the messages. Pretending he's worse than the killer cast is just ridiculous.
And a good portion of Jonah's lore is based around him struggling to deal with being somewhat responsible for the deaths of those civilians. Just because he doesn't have an artist level "oh boo hoo my entire life is defined by meaningless tragedy" three paragraphs of mopey introspection in his lore doesn't mean he's not deeply wracked by it - it's mentioned a lot in his lore and flavour text. He's not going to embezzle money from the CIA because it is the rebels who put civilians in the line of fire. And sure, the CIA struck the decoys, but they are involved in a war and of course you are going to try to kill people in a war, that's a major part of it. Every soldier in history is a terrible terrible person by that logic, which is ridiculous.
The whole Pinochet reading works fine with artist, I don't think it works here, and I don't think it's even intended in the first place as it's never mentioned outright, alluded to, or even given a substitute Pinochet character to avoid the being of controversy. Jonah's lore isn't fantastic, but it's extremely overhated and I feel people just like to dogpile on it without really reading or thinking about it because "he CIA bad man ugly I don't like him".
######### thank you.
It honestly annoys me to no end when people don't read the lore themselves and instead just watches someone else's take on the lore to just blindly repeat what they've been told as if it's their own opinion.
That's why The Archivists Vault is the Superior dbd lore channel on youtube.
-
I have no desire whatsoever to play either of those two and threads like these only reinforces my decision to sticking with DBD even more.
-
You need to fill out the survey after each match 7 times, there are no rules on how you do it as long as you just fill it out after each match 7 times individually and follow the 3 requirements listed on the survey.

They could add dbd skins to fortnite like Trapper, Wraith and Billy
and the original 4 survivors
Didn't they do a DBD inspired game mode in fortnite last year?
-
They've had friendly conversations with Fortnite over twitter aswell but you don't see them making a Fortnite crossover thou.
-
Urgh, should have known it was one of Pixel Bush's own unofficial fan take on the lore.
I really wish people would stop treating his takes and rewrites on the lore as canon when they're not.

Lore wise it'd be Pyramid Head. He literally forced his way into the Entity's realm to punish it and until it repents it will continue to be punished, food stolen (cages) and its flesh literally torn into (rights of judgement)
I'm not sure where you get that pyramid head forced his way in from or that he's there to punish the entity, since the base lore says he and the entity had an unspoken agreement.

Mike, Reggie and Jody from Phantasm.
-
Mikaela
Like all dirty no good witchcraft performers, the only way to save us from their wickedness is to burn them in holy fire.
I would also throw Hag in aswell.
-
No i don't, in fact i say good riddance to old dbd and the sooner we give all that remains from old dbd the realm beyond treatment, the better.
-
The way I see it, one might aswell do it in case the reward is any good and even if it ain't then you still got it done and over with.
better safe than sorry.
-
My thoughts on the game hasn't changed, it seems like a solid experience i might have given a shot, however i don't support games that priorities money over accessibility by doing a epic exclusivity deal and i certainly don't support NFT companies such as Boss Protocol who is directly a part of the game's publisher Boss Team Games.
-
No, frankly i don't want them to, in fact I want them to commit to what they have created and expand upon them with multiple tomes.
The base lores are mere overviews of the character's lores only and does not tell us everything while the tome lores only covers specific parts of their lives in details, they are all incomplete told stories and the more tomes we get to expand upon the character's lives, the more of a full picture we get of them.
