Wiggling isn't actually affected by the amount that you press/hit on your keyboard/controller. The only way that wiggling can be affected is through breaks like break-out.

You can mori people once you've hooked them twice. So instead of hooking them to kill them you get to mori. How is that like devour hope?
Because with Devour Hope, you hook to get the Moris.. Not mentioning the fact that killer gets insta-downs on third hook.. lol
-
@gatsby said:
I think there should be a perk that lets you mori people on death hook.
Prevents sabo, decisive, flashlights and means you don't have to lose hooks when you kill people. Also, some people just like the animation for moris. It'd be a decent perk, but not crazy overpowered or anything.
devour hope?

She officially became a killer when her father 'kills' her. I think the Archive story shows a side to spirit that the players wouldn't otherwise have known - and it also shows that this bloodlust ran in the family rather than the father being ran to insanity.
Spirit seems like her storyline is of one girl that endured a life of torment, abuse and fear. She got far in her life - all the way up to university but life desensitised her. She never got to experience the normal life of a child/teen - which is why she is still so child-like in her entity-esque state, her face and voice all sound really childish in my opinion.

What did i ever do to you that you guys need to: Teabag, blind me at every opportunity, and genrush harder than anything else? Yea i know there will be survivor mains saying "just get good" how do you imagine that? I am rank 14 right now and only get SWF with flashlights, full prestige and red ranks. Anyway, why?
PS: Im on ps4. But STILL this goes out to everyone who does this.
Avoid it, fortunately for killer players, you can be exclusively selective on what lobby you play against - see something you dont like? Keys? Flashlights? Medkits? Neas? Megs? Leave the lobby and queue up against. Killer queues are almost always instant so you don't feel the impact of dipping the lobby because the game doesn't necessarily punish you outside of a 3-5 seconds cooldown - which is just a mere cooldown.
I've become more selective in which lobbies I choose to engage in and that allows me to avoid overly cocky players that try to sneak in a flashlight last minute or so..

The Nurse is the most op killer. I dont think it is really important if a killer is hard to play or not, it just matters what the killers potential is. I always assume, when we talk about op, we also considere the full potential of each killer.
Nurse is far from OP? What even lol.

I just played against a 4 player buddy group. It was the most horrible game play I’ve ever had. They knew where I was, they knew where each other were for healing. They can communicate all the way across the map, and I’m running around with the Hag like an idiot. This was the least fun and most frustrating experience I’ve had with this game.
I did t get more than one hit on anyone, because they knew god loops, and when they lost me, they knew EXACTLY where to go to heal within seconds.
I’m rank 17, going against a 4, 3, 7 and 2.
each one had adrenaline, 3 had DS,
Prove thyself, 2 had Borrowed Time, 2 Sabateur.
I never had a chance. This was tilted, one sided and completely unfair.
I have been championing how much fun and how amazing this game can be, but if this kind of gang up is where it’s going, I’ll be out, quickly.
This has nothing to do with SWF, this has to do with the fact that the game is even pitting you against red ranks when you're not even green ranks?..
But anyway, communication should be available to solo queues, this is literally a team game that punishes you for not being altruistic and wanting to help your team, makes no sense to have no form of communication whilst playing the game.. lol.

If you cal 2 kills on Hawkins a draw then you must not have been around before the DLC release. Hawkins has the highest kill rate of all maps, pair that with a one hit down survivor and a couple of potato teammates and YES, that was absolutely balanced.
Hawkins also usually has the highest amount of infinites, along with being a safe haven for balanced landing players. It doesn't matter how you perceive it because altruism is part of the game - which means that if the killer got two kills, then yes, it is a draw. If a killer gets one kill coldwin or lampkin lane, does that mean that they won just because of a kill rate? no - it doesn't because whilst Hawkins (69% kill rate) and Coldwind (53%) is a 16% difference, both are still over 50% - and this is a 4k kill rate.
You're also behaving as if you didn't willingly put up the Hawkins offering - which says to me that you're comfortable with the loops and confident in running the killer on this map. Not only this, but you were put up against a deathslinger, who is 4 ranks below you. Wow, what an accomplishment on running a killer that can be disadvantaged on this map, who is technically less skilled and shouldn't have been put in the same lobby as you. But also interestingly how one teammate had a key?
I don't even understand why you put up the last screenshot, the killer literally dc'd because they were placed in a match that they technically should've never had to play in the first place.

It's not really the intention of this thread to start a flame war or add to the echo chamber, so I would appreciate it if you wonderful people would keep your comments slightly constructive. That's all I ask.
On to the topic..."Waffle, wth? Why does NOED need a change, it's the only perk to counter genrushing!" NOED needs a change mostly because of two MAJOR reasons. I'm sure you've heard them a million times, so you'll stand hearing them a couple times more.
NOED Punishes Solo Queue Survivors
Swf know how many totems their teammates have cleansed, and rough estimations of totem locations can be called out as well. Without this information, cleansing dull totems is an unreliable strategy unless you use up some perk slots. Not only can you not keep track of where totems have already been cleansed to save time, but you also don't know whether or not your teammates will cleanse the totems they find. Removing such a key counterplay is definitely an unnecessary punishment.
NOED Rewards Camping
NOED is in the survivors' hands if the killer doesn't apply enough pressure. Camping is easy effective pressure, and is therefore easy NOED value. It is very to put the survivors in a position where they can't possibly do gens fast enough and do totems, meaning mileage from NOED is basically confirmed with this strategy.
Why This Needs a Change
The gap between swf and solos makes it extremely hard to balance the game. Will this patch make swf crush killers? Will this patch make killers crush solos? Reducing this gap through any possible means could go a long way for the health of the game. Camping is an unpleasant strategy and the non-interactive nature of it makes the game extremely boring for all of the players. Reducing the effectiveness of this strategy would be in the developer's best interests in order to not discourage players.
Feel free to bash me in the comments and call me lazy, I won't stop you nor am I sure that I can. If you agree NOED needs a change, I would love to hear your suggestions and perhaps the developers will find inspiration from the community towards making a change that would improve the experience of many players.
My only pet peeve with NOED is the speed increase. You want to make them instadowns? Cool - remove the speed boost.

I don’t know what you’re trying to prove - only one killer out of the three games you had was actually “skilled” to play against the survivor team.
in one game - it was pretty much a tie, one game the killer dc’d and one game, yeah, you got out - congrats?
Survivor isn’t easy if you actually play against someone who is meant to be playing with you instead of getting paired with purple ranks. Lol

All of the maps should be small. Helps level the playing field for all killers.
Why should the playing field be levelled? If you make maps too small, stealth/mobility killers essentially become useless because there is no point to being stealthy/ having mobility on a small map.
a killer designed to be slower should not be having the same ease as a mobility killer in getting across the map. Lol

The only reason Spirit feels easy is because 95% of survivors go full potato against her. It doesn't matter the rank either. They just make stupid decision after stupid decision. Get someone in that 5% I guarantee you will change your tune. She's not actually as easy as you think. You are getting false positives because majority of survivors don't know what to do against her.
Most people think that running to create distance is a good strategy, but most don’t know when to stop running and when to engage lol..

@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
My biggest issue with NOED as a solo Survivor is games where I will cleanse 3 or even 4 totems and be the most heavily punished by NOED because the circus that is my team couldn't find one. Matches like that tend to feel very frustrating and unfair because I was the only person who bothered to put any effort into countering the Perk and yet I still get slammed up the butt by the local sweaty Freddy main.
Experiences like these happen so often that I think NOED should not be bound to a Hex at all, but should go with a mildly different approach: A token system based on the amount of totems that haven't been cleansed yet, for a total of 5 tokens.
- 5 to 3 tokens (0 to 2 totems cleansed): Same effects as current NOED.
- 2 tokens (3 totems cleansed): The speed boost of NOED is cut in half.
- 1 token (4 totems cleansed): The Exposed status effect is removed from Survivors.
- 0 tokens (5 totems cleansed): The remaining speed boost is lost and the Perk has no effect.
This would keep it relatively close to how it works now—a Perk that punishes Survivors for not doing bones—but makes it a lot more interactive and fair for solo Survivors without too heavily nerfing its potential. It also counters a really dumb strat of finding totems but not doing them so that if NOED spawns, you can just run to every totem you've found and see if it's lit. It also helps reduce those annoying situations where the fifth totem is stealthier than a Blendette and no one can bloody find it.
So basically a weaker version of Devour Hope?

About an hour ago, i was playing a normal match and was about 5 minutes into it. Everything was normal till the game force closed on me for no reason and gave me an Easy Anti-Cheat error #00000001. Now I checked on everything on my PC for any possibility of this error occurring and sure enough, nothing was wrong at all. Simply just the Anti-Cheat being faulty as usual. I get back into the game hoping that it didn't give me an in-game suspension and what do you know, i received a 24 hour ban. This implementation of a DC ban is ridiculous given the circumstances of the game's horrible dedicated servers and incredibly faulty Easy Anti-Cheat that could easily wig out and kick someone out in the middle of a match or shut down their game entirely and they get falsely banned for a set amount of time. A suggestion of a replacement for this terrible DC banning system is to maybe do a -75% bloodpoint earning for a set number of matches.
I don’t want to be that person - but why have you even reached 24 hours suspension? At most, I’ve only ever had 5 minutes.,. Lol

This issue unfortunately is at your end.
There is no way for the game to tell if you cut WiFi intentionally or not so in your example the dc penalties are working as intended otherwise there would be no point having them at all since players could just pull the cord from any machine bypassing them.
The only thing that needs worked more on in in terms of dc penalties are when it is down to the game itself and not something at your end.
I agree, I’ve had weird glitches where it was the game’s fault that i was disconnected from the game (eg. Game crashing or just randomly throwing me out of the game even though my internet is still running perfectly fine)

But why to ignore them? Do you really enjoy more holding M1 and stay hidden all the times if killer come than doing more things and getting better emblems and more BP? I admit that when I was a Novice I was obsesed with scaping and more scared by the killer, until I finally realize that is more amusing to do everything than just holding M1, even if I don't scape.
personally, I play with my friends and we take turns in running the killer / doing gens.
im not too good at running killers but will gladly do anything else in game. But my point is - you HAVE to do generators to escape. People aren’t going to go, “ooh hey, I’m on this gen by myself? Let me go find another survivor” THEYRE just going to go on gen and get it done.
but to say that the game is survivor sided just because they are doing what they’re meant to be doing is a bit silly.

And what do you do if the 4 survivors are a bit good (no necessary to be a pro)? They can stay in a chase enough time for 2 gens to be done and popping, what do you do? Just Kicking gens all the time?
Genrush is a problem in the game, anybody who don't notice this is survivor sided. Even if you see main killer streamers with 4k hours in twitch they say genrush is a problem.
BuT ThIs Is OuR ObJeTiVe, WhAt dO YoU SuPoSe We HaVe To Do?
Break dull totems, you can disable an endgame NOED and you get 1000 boldness points for each which is very good. Unhook survivors an heal them, tank them a Hit if the killer is a tunneler a lot of Altruism points.
Some survivor think the only things are Obetives and Survival and Boldness and Altruism. You get more BP and even get better emblems at the end of the game and pip more. I personally prefer to get chased, search for totem and rescue team mates than just holding M1. I prefer to do that things even if I die than just hold M1 for X minutes and scaping, it's way more amusing and you get more point than just holding M1.
A lot of survivor have the obsesion of only do gens, they even repair while they are hurt without Resilience equiped or Stay in a generator to do this at all cost even if you are coming despite getting hit or downed due that risk GOD, that's so stupid.
But this is just not true. Killers have instant knockdowns, moris, perks that essentially track gens or regress progress - hell, there’s even perks that that stop survivors from escaping.
survivors have to SHARE their scores, I’ve never seen two survivors get 30k in the same game. Getting a 30k is much easier as killer than survivor. Dull totems are a side objective - survivors don’t have to do them at all and can ignore them.
Survivors are “obsessed” with doing generators because it is their only form of achieving escape unless they are the last one alive - but even then it is unlikely that one will survive or find hatch before the killer.
-
@Thatbrownmonster said:
I just had 2 matches in a row where I chased a survivor, while using corrupt intervention and 3 gens poped
I think survivors are soo terrified of working on the same generator because of the recent nerf that they split making gens pop even faster then before
Anyone else feeling the same?
They nerfed the speed when survivors work on the same gen. it’s not by a lot and I don’t even think about it, you just got unlucky unfortunately.
if you find that you are being gen rushed - you’re spending too long on the chase or you’re not applying enough pressure on survivors. Noticing what gens survivors go to and want to complete and scare them away and try to destroy it each time they touch it.

Yeah you can... Do both. An extra 16 seconds won't hurt you. And if you choose to Gen rush, immediately do the bones that you annotated the locations of in your mind before you rush out in the open to do an exit gate.

As a survivor main, I feel like if I'm not running one of the exhaustion perks I'm putting myself at a pretty huge disadvantage. Lately I've been running Dead Hard a lot because I feel like it adds a kind of mind-game to chases that other perks don't, and it's easily the most fun for me to use.
Browsing the forums, I've seen a lot of negative input about perks that I wouldn't have expected to see, and I'm curious to know where Dead Hard falls on that list.
To be clear, I'm not asking "Is Dead Hard fair", I'm specifically asking: When you're playing killer, is Dead Hard fun to play against? If you don't think it's fair and it's not fun to play against, if it was nerfed in some way but the idea behind the perk remained the same (I-frames), would you have fun playing against it?
from a killer and survivor perspective, I find the perk to be a waste of space. It is still glitchy and at times doesn’t work.

I thinkl your issue is you get potatoe survivors. As you can see alot of people have stated how they think the game is either pretty balanced or a bit survivor sided. I understand you have had your games of which it was a lost cause so because of that I can think of 3 things.
- Your not a high rank killer thus giving you potatoes.
- You just get potatoe survivors due to the matchmaking system.
- You get god awful teammates when your on the game.
Also the devs themselves have said not to use the statistics so you using it is pretty pointless, and as others have said it only affects this map and none of the others. @DuckCast Makes a good point too. You seem to think everything you can do with the killer easily means they are OP while anything similar on survivor is ok. Just because you seem to have good games as killer doesn't necessarily mean your a pro or that your opinion is more important. I'm not saying your opinion isn't but you should be respectful to others that share there opinion respectfully.
Using the logic of another person that has been arguing that red ranks are essentially meant to be “flawless players”, I am mostly (if not entirely) put against red rank survivors, I’ve never lost on the map as a perkless killer.
I’m not a pro, I don’t consider myself even a pro on the game - but to continually have my opinions discredited just because I hate a map and struggle on it is annoying - so, yes, I am going to progressively get more aggressive. I don’t see my opinion or experience as above others - but it’s what I see, it’s what the stats back up and that’s that.
only because Devs say not to use something means you shouldn’t? The stats are there, they show a comparison of performance on those maps.
yes, those stats don’t really consider ingame conditions but it’s the only thing we have.

I think you misunderstand. People say ranks are meaningless because people like you believe you can be “boosted” on a game that requires objective play to rank up.

Ranked is messed up because people don’t have an outlet to practice and get comfortable with playing different things.

What's wrong with Spinechill?
It’s a very pointless perk, they have to be in range, and it can give false information on whether the killer is going towards you or not.
the little boost is not worth it. I used to run the perk on a regular and often times - it was a waste. It’s only okay if you’re running up against a stealth killer where you can’t hear the terror radius or a Michael.
point is, there are better speed increasing perks or perks that give you information on killer location.

This game is not friendly to new players - in general. The tutorial does a poor example of explaining things and the game lunges players forcibly into a ranked game where they’re pitted against people immediately.
DBD is genuinely the only game that I’ve played where you’re forcibly made to play ranked in the beginning lol.
there isn’t an environment, where the killer/survivors can learn without the stressing of not doing good enough in the game. I personally only got confident enough after watching a streamer for two months and talking with them constantly about the game - where I got to a point that I felt comfortable to revisit the game again.
the DBD community is always going to be very toxic - especially to players that show signs of weakness because everyone seems to have some sort of superiority.
i ran into a t-bagging wraith that slugged me and my friend and was proud of himself for the game - despite running nurses alongside sloppy butcher (a cancer combination), NOED and pop whilst we were on the game (the map). It was a terrible experience and this cocky wraith who genuinely thought he ‘outskilled’ a red rank survivor team was trying to show it off despite running perks that are cheap as a combination.
moral of story is - people don’t care and unfortunately will be toxic. One of the first things they should’ve done is to introduce a casual game mode

And that is one of the mistakes that Killers capitalize on. If you can properly predict the Killer, you will NEVER get caught if you can keep LOS broken. And like I said, your rank clearly means nothing since you can't perform a basic task expected of high-rank survivors, which means you are objectively boosted. Chances are you were one of the baby survivors whining that Ruin checks were "too hard"
I never complained about old ruin, it helped me to hit great skill checks. I’ve been playing the game for nearly a year and only recently found the forums.
I love how you think that every “high skilled” player has to play like the 1% that can read into everything the killer does and counter it. This is so ridiculous

atleast dedi hits will never happen after the mid chapter comes. They fixed vaults, from what i saw on the ptb. Ofc,if it makes it to live.
That’s good to hear, as a someone who mostly runs lithe as my exhaustion perk, it’s always been a gamble of whether the game decides to waste my ability by getting me downed even though I’m running with haste or if it lets me create the distance that I intended.
hopefully these changes go live:)
