If a killer gets a 3k or a 4k just by camping then the survivors are mediocre, because camping is not op at all and dont need because is already a weak strategy, just do gens and leave; also, tunneling is also a bad strat against good survivors with ds, so no, dont need nerf, also ds is already on a great spot and survivors in general are in a great place.
Camping is only effective against survivors who dont do gens and run around the hook while the killer camps, the bad play is on the survivor and not on the killer.
That is much easier said than done. If a killer starts camping and tunneling from the beginning, the other 3 will barely, if at all, have time to do 5 gens.

Maybe you're just not that good at survivor and have yet to reconcile with it.
That goes for folks blanket agreeing with a lot of these suggestions too, which from a mechanic stand point are really unbalanced and just kinda bad.
These tactics are so strong, It doesn't take a good killer to win.

That is... on point, actually.
Especially when you mention that EGC sucks. It is a pity that most people do not share that vision of ours.
With how the hatch doesn't spawn until the third person dying and the whole EGC, it seems so killer sided now. I don't like it. Glad we both agree.

Why do I find myself agreeing with Sluzzy more every post they make?
I'm glad you are seeing my perspective better now. :)
-
Why should it be? It's a decent perk at best. You have many killers that don't even care it exists (Bubba). Wait it out if you are worried about DH.
-
If you get slugged near an Exponential boon totem, the killer is going to know it. This one is so bad. The killer hears the loud Boon chimes so he won't ever slug without snuffing the totem. If boon totems could only be heard by survivor ears only, it might have some value.
It needs a buff. Unbreakable is way better even though it is only 1 time.
-
If we looking at usage: BBQ tops them all, way more than 80%, but hasn't been nerfed.
-
Dead Hard already gives a much lesser distance compared to say Lithe or Sprint Burst. So it really already has a huge cost to having the few invulnerability frames that it has. It's a bit more of a skillful perk. The only frustrating thing is watching the survivor scream and then watching them run away. You didn't hit them but felt like it did. They are fixing that in the next patch.
It does nothing against 1-shot killers, leaving survivor with only 3 perks. That's a big downside already. Less distance. Not viable against 1 shot killers.
-
Oh no.
-
Decisive Strike needs a massive buff. It punishes the survivor for the playing the game to keep it. Killers can wait out the timer rendering it useless. If it is supposed to be a real anti-tunnel perk, make it not have a timer, make it use-able more than once, and make the stun longer. Blight, Huntress, Nurse, and a few other killers can just instantly down after being stunned and so it is not an anti-tunnel perk at all. It is way too weak to be even hinted at being an anti-tunnel perk.

So killer sided that after 4k hrs of killer i have to retire. Bro stop with those bs bait posts.
There is a lot of killers that don't even play because there is not much challenge to it.

Not at all. Every blight uses the killer meta and exploits high mouse DPI settings so there is no counterplay.

Well I don't think we should balance the game around swf. We should buff solo survivors and then buff killers accordingly. All I'm saying is that generally killers are more well off than survivors and there's a lot of evidence and firsthand accounts to prove it.
If good killers can already deal with SWF for the most part, then killers don't even need buffed. Only survivors.
In a random match, the killer shouldn't win as easy as they do.
-
@CyberDragoon656 said:
So any other evidence that shows that the game is survivor sided should be ignored but just cause one video from otz which the stats he put out needs to be put into question and scott who barely plays killer now.
Not to mention both do not have the most recent patch and both are being paid to play this game so they have more time than most.
Well, it is not fair to balance the game for high experience survivors all working together, but not expecting killers to git gud like Otz. I think this is how the game is overall killer sided now. Way more expected from survivors to win.

I hate Blight but nah it's fine
Losing by default to something because it is OP makes it not fine.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
You have a CoH, Deli DS, and 3 DHs. Plus it was coldwind.
If anything this match was just unfair stuff vs unfair stuff, and the side who played worse lost.
The Blight build was way more unfair. Survivors don't have anything that could stop it.
You know the unfairness and how OP it is because killers can win with that build almost blind folded. The 4 survivors have to be sweaty, on comms, and make no mistakes and even then they might lose to it.
It desperately needs a nerf.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Do Deadlock and New Dead Man’s Switch add to this?
Yes on Deadlock for sure but I don't find it as strong as say Ruin or Tinkerer on a fast killer. I don't know what the New Dead Man's Switch does.
-
@espooked said:
Tinkerer should definitely be a one time per gen use, that perk is definitely not OP but on certain killers it's kinda busted. Just take these builds for granted, some people are bad at the killer and need it in order to win. Congratulate him for needing the training wheels and move on
That would be a good way to nerf it. One time use per gen or give it like 4 stacks and once they are used up the perk is no longer usable.
Or remove one of its effects - either the gen notification or the oblivious would help.
-
@AngyKiller said:
No. If Survivors get 16 perks in a match; Killers get up to 4 Slowdown perks. Limiting them would just increase the 'genrush meta' and We don't needs matches to drop below 4 damn minutes.
You can't look at it like that. Survivor perks help individual survivors. Killer perks affects the entire match.
-
@Exxodus21 said:
1st death and only 5k points. I now understand why you think the game is killer sided 😂
He slugged a lot and tinkerer told him where the others were at.
-
If SWF is the only way to possibly escape, then SWF is not OP. Perhaps SWF is actually balanced and Solo is brokenly underpowered.
You know this because the devs are actually trying to buff the solo gameplay, when it has never needed that previously.
Furthermore, if a solo lobby directly depends on a very low skilled killer making many mistakes in order for some to escape, then there is a huge problem with balance. Killers need nerfing or survivors in general need buffing. I'm sure devs looking at stats and anyone playing a few games of solo matches will confirm this.
-
You need to watch Otz video about that, watch some killer mains play to see how much they win. Learn the strategies how to play. Killers can win effortlessly an overwhelming majority of the time if you use all the advantages the game gives you.
The devs have provided all the overpowered perks and killers and nerfed most maps so killers have a huge advantage.
Their logic needs to be about fairness, not a new killer winning effortlessly against everyone.

The problem is you're not taking the entire match into consideration. Does the amount of time one survivor placing down a boon, even if they do it repeatedly, justify the amount of healing your teammates may get from it? The pressure a killer loses because of it? You are equally wasting your time as a killer, maybe even moreso than a survivor wasting theirs in placing it. You have a lot more time to work with as a survivor as opposed to a killer.
You toss a boon in a deadzone, where there is no gen, but is opposite to your current gen you're doing? You take a hit, run down there. Someone else on the other side could do the same. At that point it's just a game of attrition. You can talk all you want about x seconds to self-heal, y seconds off a gen, but if you're going to completely ignore what is required of the other side, then you don't have much of an argument.
It's only being used because it is a slightly better self-care. If it was nerfed any at all, then you could use self-care, where the killer can't disable it.
Its too easy for killers to snuff them, they need to be worth the blessing.
-
Killer mains should be defending boons. They are a time waster and an indirect buff to killers.
You have to waste a lot of time looking for a totem, then bless it. If it is a hex, it takes light years in DBD time to bless it. Then, all the killer has to do is hear it from a mile away and know exactly where it is to snuff.
If a survivor is healing, they are not doing their objective. I actually feel like I do better without using them because you can do a gen in the time it takes to find a totem, bless it, and watching the killer come snuff it out instantly is really a disappointment. 14 seconds is a long time in DBD and if the healing is not better than Self-Care speed, then there is actually no point in using it.

Nerfing.....Trickster??????????????? Huntress?????? BBQ??????????????????????????????????????
Yes sir. Have you played against Trickster? No counterplay.
The BBQ aura reads on a Blight is a very big advantage. As soon as someone is put on a hook, you can count to 3 and he is already slapping someone else off a gen.
-
Otz said "if you are experienced, bring the best perks and addons, you are winning most of your killer matches". His killrate was 3.85. The gates were never opened. As perkless he still had a 3.15 killrate.
The game definitely is not survivor sided.
-
So untrue.
Still no Ruin, Tinkerer, NOED, BBQ, or Trickster or Huntress nerfs (most common killer seen).
Circle of Healing was already nerfed before going live while in the same patch killer perk buffs occurred. Way more survivor perks nerfed than killer perks.
There is actually no word of a Blight nerf.
If anything, the continuous updates are extremely favorable for killers.
Let's not forget Pinhead is going to actually speak in the game soon.

I am being honest, and again, you're assuming things about me that are not true. This is all about perception and your perception of my opinions is that I want the game easier and killers to be on the same level of ability as survivors. This is not true. Believe it or not it is possible to improve the survivor experience without also hindering the killer one. That is why I constantly say the game needs to fundamentally change. If a survivor's team was bad, but you weren't, why should the odds be against you in that situation? I'm not saying it should guarantee anything. I'm just saying far too much relies on the performance of the team that essentially just screws the person actually trying unless you by chance find the hatch first.
These are very good discussions.
This is what I feel is wrong with the survivor side and we see eye to eye. Killer mains think survivors main want to 1v1 the killer and that is not necessarily true. While if the one survivor player is better than the killer player, the survivor should be able to last a longer time in chase. If this is not true, there is no skill component to the survivor side and there is no reason at all to play or no incentive to even play survivor. People play games so their skill carries them, not to lose because of the "game", and in this case the killer being too OP.
The hatch mechanic was a horrible change and it needs to change back. The game narrative is actually "Play together as a team or selfishly". I haven't checked to see if it still says that but team based basically takes away all solo play. If you don't want to sweat with friends, then you should still be able to play solo and have a chance to escape. Your skill should be meaningful.
The chances are so tiny to getting to a hatch situation, the key is completely useless. Even in hatch situations, the killer usually finds it first because he is free to move while the survivor has to be stealthy. Against a decent killer, a red grade 1 killer, there is no way to actually escape unless you are on a perfect team. Something needs to be done to make the hatch more accessible.
A killer shouldn't be able to deny it by slugging either, removing all possible options for the survivor.
-
Hopefully this will help survivors do gens.
-
His chainsaw should stop after downing one person and use up all available tokens.

I am not sure if you're serious or not, but survivors absolutely do NOT need more buffs.
Of the games I witness, survivors don't have a leg to stand on. Every time the killer is experienced with the meta, it is always a bloodbath. So survivors need a buff so games are fair.
-
There is no way killers need buffed. They need to ensure everyone has a fair chance, it shouldn't take a perfect SWF to win. SWF are probably in a good spot and from what I see, at least can get the gates opened.
As long as the killrates are much higher than 50%, then only survivor buffs are needed to ease the pain and doom of solo.
-
Ruin was actually buffed and is more popular than ever before. It needs to be actually properly nerfed. It is too strong on high mobility killers especially.

They are both broken :)
I do bet the killrates of Blight overall is way higher than the winrates of SWFs.
-
You can't say SWF is broken when Blight exists.
-
That's a very good sign killers are too OP.
-
Multiple slowdown perks are a big crutch and shouldn't be a thing. There should be a limit to only one slowdown perk in a match.
-
It is definitely out of control. Even those matches I dodge suspicious private profiles, you still encounter them every other match. Remove the penalty if they can't fix it. They can hold the game hostage forcing the killer to DC.

@Sluzzy - I know you get a lot of crap from people about your complaints about killers, but I am genuinely curious if you have actually played killer before. If so, do stomp survivors or do you find it difficult/stressful to play killer? I know there are some really good killers out there, but a vast majority of those I’ve played against or the ones who comment on the forums seem to not think it’s as easy as you do. I’m just honestly wondering if you play killer and how easy or difficult you have found it. I play both sides and I find killer incredibly frustrating against SWF and manageable against good solos if you’re playing sweaty. Rarely do I have matches that are super easy where I am steamrolling survivors
I play both sides too. I find killer is the ez role unless it a 4 man SWF. Occasionally a good group of solos or duo or treos will win but usually i've made mistakes also like chasing a survivor too long or something like that. Sometimes a bad map like playing Hillbilly on Lery's .
I think killer complains are always centered around "I must 4K or the game is unbalanced".
I know survivor is the hardest role because you win way more as killer. Way more.
Killer is only hard if you put so much pressure on yourself thinking you have to 4K.
-
The devs already see the ginormous killrates and how little solo survivors win but continue to release anti-loop killers, more slowdown perks, and never looking into stacking slowdown perks and refusing to see it as a problem.
I actually saw a Huntress using Ruin, Corrupt Intervention, and POP. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the tally screen. She easily won with 4 gens remaining and that is very bad. There's been a lot of un-noticed light.
-
You did admit you are a newer killer so I think your experience is very normal. It was because you was unfairly matched with higher rank survivors.
What should maybe happen is to entice more killers to play at high ranks. The survivors waiting in queue for a long time causes the server to throw the first killer that comes along.
Perhaps, killers need some more reward for playing against high rank SWF.

Wait what? 😱
Sluzzy making sense now? 😲😲😲
Is the apocalypse tomorrow? 😬
I played against 4 Neas on console 😪
Able to loop perfectly and was obviously stretching their resolution for an advantage!
-
That is like saying if you don't like being genrushed play a different game.
MMR has caused a dramatic increase in both tactics. You can't fix one without fixing the other.
-
So has survivor. If the killer knows what they are doing, it is impossible to escape unless all 4 are in the best gaming chairs.
Anti-loop killers, oppressive killers and the loadouts, etc. Solo is still a guaranteed loss unless the killer is slacking and being friendly.
-
There's hardly a reason to choose him over Huntress. 1 difficult to land harpoon vs 5 quick successive hatchet throws.
With Huntress the hit is guaranteed. You make a really long sexy shot with Deathslinger and the chain could break on a rock. Then, no second harpoon like you do with Huntress, you have to reload while survivor runs away.
-
As good as that sounds, that doesn't help the killer problem at higher MMR where camping is a required strategy.
-
They better remove MMR before it is too late.
