And a blight with 4 slowdown perks is balanced too. Lets not forget the elephant in the room.

weak lol 100% extra healing means 8s instead of a 16s heal you are just trolling at this point
It needs to be worthwhile for how long it takes to set it up.
Remember killers don't have to setup their HEXs.

easy to remove also easy to replace
The effects are weak and then killer can remove it again.
-
You are quitting because of Boons that are extremely easy to remove, but expect solo survivors and casual teams to play against the killer meta? How preposterous.
I think killers need to take a step back and realize what they use.

well yeah there's windows, and a certain perk which can help extend the chase by at least 30 seconds when used correctly.
A ranged killer just makes up all the distance. They release maps like Dead Dog Saloon with ranged killers.
Survivor is at a huge disadvantage on this map.
-
I agree, there is nothing fun in playing in that if you are spotted you are going down because of no way to defend yourself. If the game is changing so killers have so many ranged abilities and such, then survivors need something other than pallets to defend against it.
-
Rework him so he is not a Ranged killer! Nothing is more maddening that to go down in a deadzone because he shows up.

"Cenobite was too oppressive and *winning too much*.
*I beg your pardon?*
It is SUPER easy to dodge his chain torpedo and the chains that spawn when you neglect the box. The only 'oppressive' thing about him was if you forgot the box and the chain hunt would keep interrupting survs on gens. Hell, if he was in a chase and if someone started the box; he had to decide if he wanted to stop the person on box or commit to chase. Both of which don't guarantee a hook/kill.
You can dodge it sometimes but a lot of times it spawns directly on top of you so you can't react to it and then you are locked in place so you can't move or vault pallets. This is another anti-loop power, but on top of that there's Chain Hunt. It is like starting the match with everyone wearing a helmet and a timer already started. It's actually worse in solo play when everyone is running towards the box to see who can solve it first. Nobody doing gens and the killer is free to do his job. Look what all the survivors have to do: find totems, run from pinhead, look for the box, save teammates, heal teammates, search chests, then maybe have time to work on a gen.
If killer has Ruin and chain hunt begins, all gens are regressing. In the midst of all the survivor madness, killer is not slowed down at all. He's slugging people and putting them on hooks.
We haven't talked about Hoarder yet. Chain hunt is never-ending. Nobody can do gens and the killer is constantly downing the person with the box.

Sure, so killer sided with updates like Boon totems; Deathslinger, headpop Pig and Cenobite nerfs, etc. Try to play both sides enough, snowball pretty much ruined and gens fly. Killer mains literally quitting and playing survivor with current SBMM nonsense, because it's easier and not even close in terms of stress level.
There was no counterplay to Deathslinger. Boon totems are very easily snuffed because they are so loud. Cenobite was too oppressive and was winning too much.

look - in a 4v1, whoever the player is one the "1" team should be more powerful than 1 individual team member on the "4" team.
Thats why killers always seem to have such oppresive 1v1s. If no one has a power role, than survivors would win with numerical advantage.
If survs have a power role individually than really, whats the point of having the game anyway, with more, stronger people, and if the killer has the power role against 1 individual survivor, you find an unnatainable treasure called balance.
Not by default. If the 1 on the survivor team is better than the killer player, the killer shouldn't win a chase automatically because their power is so oppressive.
You also can't always play on a team where they all know the game perfectly to have a slight chance at winning.
-
@AkiTheKitten said:
Killer is the power rule. There SHOULD be a disadvantage for survivors at a 1v1. It's a 1v4, so the killer should be oppressive during a 1v1
If the killer is a power rule, then by default the killer auto-wins regardless of skill. What is the point or fun factor in learning survivor to know your skill is meaningless? Why not make it a level playing field so then the best player wins?
-
@Name_Unavailable said:
Agree, But you know why? killer mains voices are louder and know how to get what they want from the devs.
Small nerf for an S tier killer addon, or small buff for survivors (or even fixing stuff, aka DH). you will see thousends of topics flaming the devs. and the classic "thats it im quitting this game" kinda of topics.
But when killer get good buffs, or survivor had massive nerf they like "meh... thats good i guess"
PTB now has a broken killer, and yet you see people from now saying things like "wait for devs to butcher this killer because she is 'valuable'.." or "can this killer survivor the nerfs". and when devs nerf her as they should. you will see the "thats it im quitting this game" or "is she F tier now?" can't wait.
Killer voices are definitely louder. They do. This is very true. The boons getting nerfed hard from PTB and not much was said.

I mean every post they make has people calling them out as what they are, a troll. You can take a quick look at their threads and comment history to catch wind of that. Not that I condone insults but I really don't see how someone who actively and regularly promotes discord and messes with the community as a whole is someone who should've made it to 2k posts. But, better than banning them and having a new ignorant account. Lol
My threads are very important because they raise important issues with balance. Survivors are usually at a grave disadvantage. My posts are not all the same. Even if they were, why is it ok for a nerf Dead Hard post every day?
-
@Sakurra said:
Hahaha. Are you kidding? 😂 I'm survivor main and I can confirm this game is not killer sided. Who gave you this idea?
What? Killer mains always say they are survivor mains. Survivor mains have it very rough, going in expected to lose now.
-
He had to be nerfed. His power is for sneaking around the map, not for getting free downs. He's a little more bearable although he's still extremely difficult to deal with. With certain perks, he's still overpowered. Starstruck and All Seeing? Its not pretty.
-
I don't think Netflix would like that.
-
We desperately need killers that have fair counterplay. They need to remember that the only thing survivors have is pallets in the game. Either give more tools to use or stop making anti-loop, super oppressive killers.
-
All killers are overperforming (way over 2K), he was just overperforming the most. His power is way too punishing, the box spawns too fast.
The box itself is like a survivor that has to go for a save. Survivors can't do the objective fast enough because not only is this killer constantly downing survivors with little effort, but now survivor has to find a box and rescue someone. That kind of pressure is very unfair.
-
Very OP. Trickster is equivalent to putting 5 in a room, but giving only one of them knives to throw. No counterplay, going down without any way to avoid it. Pallets, windows, nothing works.
-
You could go the entire match with Ruin still active, a perk that is really too strong on high mobility killers. Old Undying was so awful. Look at Blight with Undying the way it is, it is already almost like god mode.
Hex perks impacts the entire match, whereas boon totems do not. They help the survivor a little bit but they don't impact the game in a significant way.
-
Something desperately needs to be done about bubba. No fun. A complete rework maybe. He was way overbuffed and has no counterplay to his instant down.

Read the article I posted to you. It not only tells you what was nerfed, but when he was nerfed too.
"I guess you are not supposed to go down in the middle of a dead zone. Wow."
Who's been telling you it's okay to run in the middle of a dead zone?
There is a lot of circumstances where you can't avoid his saw. What if he has tinkerer, which a lot does, and they show up in an area where you don't have line of sight. He takes you to the basement and the survivor has already lost because of broken mechanics. It could be the best survivor in the game versing a new killer losing because the killer won't move. That's wrong to me, he desperately needs a nerf.
Since you mentioned decisive strike, if the developers say this is fair, why did they change decisive strike from a pre-hook use? There is way too much evidence that one side is balanced differently than the other and the game has become extremely unfair.
If you are allowed to only have 1 chance, then there must be a lot more ways to defend yourself before going on the hook.

Almost 5 years to finally not be a PTW perk.
And bubba never nerfed? Not even true.
He's never been nerfed. He was buffed not long ago to have a saw that lasts an eternity, even going past borrowed time which pretty much means he has zero counterplay in camping. Nothing is being done about it to make it fair. I guess you are not supposed to go down in the middle of a dead zone. Wow.

we're talking about the endgame when 2 or more survivors are already dead. So yes, obviously that is Killer-sided, in a situation where the Killer already killed half of the team
I believe there should always be hope.
-
@Animal_Mother said:
Sounds like you are a big part of the problem. If you are admitting that the game is over and you lost, then you and your teammates need to take your hook and move on to the next game. You and your teammates are the ones hiding for no purpose other than wasting time and dragging the game out.
You are admitting that the endgame is so killer sided, you literally need to walk up to the killer and asked to be killed?

So camping is winning? Yaay, just what I wanted to hear. I'll certainly do it more now.
It is for Bubba because there is no possible way to save someone.
Lets do say someone gets saved off the hook, his saw will last so long that it will outlast borrowed time.

Sluzzy I think you need to realize that keys have been a huge problem in the game for a long time now. Whether you think they were gutted or not, it was a well deserved nerf that should’ve happened a long time ago.
I think they were only a problem for a killer that thinks they had to 4K every match. It is a game with two sides.
-
@MojoTheFabulous said:
I gotta agree, keys are pretty damn useless now. Extremely situational to the point it'll be rare you can make use of it. Not that I used them or care when others did (before the change) but still, it'll just go underused like Maps.
Yeah, even the ultra rare key is equivalent to a green map. That's how bad it is.

@Eredestra said:
Ruin and Pop stacks??? What?
Just from that quote alone I can tell you don't play Killer enough to know what their Perks do. And how can you even complain about Ruin? With the new Boon Totem Meta, everysingle Totem in the map gets Booned within the first 2 minutes of the game before you can even get any value from Ruin, so you as a Killer are playing with 3 Perks only.
God forbid if you play with more Hex Perks!
And why are you against Slowdown Perks in the first place? Do you want the match to be over in 6 minutes or something?
The Killer's objective is to get 12 hooks total to get a 4k and the Survivors need only 5 Gens + Exit Gate. You as a Survivor (playing with Higher ranked Survivors) complete 2 Gens in 1 single chase, 3 Gens if your team is spread out and everyone is on a Gen while one person gets chased. (Trust me, I have seen this happen. This has happened to me, a bunch of Killer main streamers and I've seen this happen when I was playing Survivor)
Just because you and a few population of the Survivor base is struggling to deal with a Blight, doesnt mean "Hey lets buff Survivors so they can easily counter Blight" but oh wait. Not every Killer is a Blight.
It is definitely not a few of the population. I never see a team win against a decent Blight. When Blight is clearly way above the rest, he needs a nerf. The killer can still get kills without slowdown perks. It causes killers to be too OP that don't need them use them.

I have, and we weren't completely paralyzed. We were smart enough to do the gens when we weren't being chased.
And this point, I'll predict you'll play a "No true Scotsman" fallacy, and say the Blight wasn't decent. So I'm just gonna cut you off right there.
He definitely wasn't a good Blight. Every decent Blight I see is a bloodbath before it is over.
-
@Wampa1 said:
In most games against anywhere half decent survivors ruin lasts on average 2 mins until the hex totem is blessed.Slowdown perks are easily countered and with the right add ons gens are popped at blisteringly fast speeds.I play both killer/survivor equally and have never benefited much as killer or been hindered much as survivor by slowdown perks.
Please play against a decent Blight loaded with slowdown perks and the team is completely paralyzed.
-
Distortion. Make it unlimited. Give it the Windows of Opportunity buff so it is actually useful.

So this is less about you not wanting perks to stack, and more bout you not wanting killers to use certain perk combinations. For example, survivors using both Unbreakable and DS
DS and Unbreakable only affects one survivor and killer must be guilty of doing specific actions. Killer slowdown perks affects all 5 players and makes it tremendously easier for killer. Those kind of perks shouldn't be stackable.
-
The game is overwhelmingly killer sided as the stats have always proven. Solo should be a playable game mode with a fair chance at winning.
To show how killer sided the game is, you can be tunneled and lose out of your own control and then your MMR is reset to 1 with baby survivors and a "PRO" killer with 4 slow down perks.
Unbelievable.

@Yamaoka said:

Undying = not a slowdown perk. Totem defense perk.
Tinkerer = not a slowdown perk. Gen information perk. Said information is often useless unless the killer has mobility.
Pop = can't be used while Ruin is up so how does it stack when it's literally only 1 effect at a time?
Ruin = usually gone in 1 minute by itself. Doesn't even do a lot to slow gens down unless you play a mobility killer.
You would see my point if survivors can use something as stacking them. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard in one chase.
-
@Dino7281 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2617996#Comment_2617996
Those don't stack... Can you use Pop when Ruin is active?
I've seen killers after finally removing Undying and Ruin after the game has already been won, still have POP which is overkill.

DS and DH can win you matches. They definitely come up clutch at endgame.
If survivors can make it to endgame. What if the killer slugs at endgame? The perk still doesn't do any good.

not like DS, Dead hard and others didnt gave bad survivors extra chances, oh its sluzzy, should of known.
DS punishes you to keep it activated. Dead hard is usually baited so its a dead perk most of the time. These perks never win games like NOED.
-
We are talking about a game right here that is extremely killer biased, the devs are killer favored and biased for killer mains as you can see how the killer meta is super overpowered and still getting stronger with broken perks released every update and never nerfed. Cenobite with broken addons and perks that is super oppressive and not nerfed but Boons was already nerfed before going live. They'll never nerf NOED. It rewards very bad killers which is how the game is designed.
-
You can play fair and still kill 1 or 2. Killers shouldn't expect to 4K every match.
-

You call it training wheels..And here's my reply to you. If I run something that YOU consider fair...Let's say bbq, whispers, infectious fright, nurses calling. Survivors are STILL going to be running every second chance perk known to man. So why am I going to put myself at a disadvantage. When the survivors are NOT going to...?
The killer meta is still way stronger than survivor meta.
-
@Bravo0413 said:
If you're getting "downed" from the tinkerer killers you may need a training wheel yourself..... I suggest Spine Chill, that will give you the brief moment to run and make it to one of the many pallet tiles. There is always an answer on the survivors side.
That's still not a good answer. That's as bad as Spirit with Stridor. Must have Spine Chill every match or you just lose. How unbalanced is that?
There's also a lot of gens nowhere close to a pallet.
-
When Leatherface gets almost max BP for camping while everyone else gets less than 10k, yes the game is killer sided and rewards camping.

Getting put on a hook is not bullying. It's called gameplay. Please explain.
4 man slugging, camping, so solos can't do anything.
-
@SilentShepherd said:
It's 4 bullies on discord, coordinating via voice chat to bully a lone player.
It's impossible for anyone to beat a good coordinated SWF group. They will communicate your location to each other and gen rush you. You can't even waste time chasing someone down, because as they loop you, he's telling the others where he is looping you, while they safely fix gens.
SWF should only be allowed in Custom matches. Go bully your friend Killer. Leave the general public out of your bullying,
But it's ok for killer to always bully solos?!
SWF is necessary, unfortunately due to oppressive killers.

The first one that pops in my head is shelter woods. Half of the entire map is a deadzone.
