Now if you hook a survivor in the basement. You freeze the survivor into place!
the buff that nobody wanted...but NEEDED.
in all seriousness that bug is annoying. So is getting stuck on a gen as the killer (my case was demon slam on the gen to get stuck)
So many buffs! I had a survivor get injured for literally no reason! I didn't swing and was nowhere near them lol
plus they can't wiggle or struggle even when not basemented! what a time to be a killer! <3

I don't understand why people really hate the BL nerf? The only thing you can't do anymore is abuse main buildings of any sort with the perk, and hills/harvesters don't make a difference cause they don't offer much with Balanced Landing besides the sprint boost. Just run off somewhere else.
I'm saying this as a survivor who mains BL and has for over a year, and I am fine with the changes.
Removing the abusing of the stagger reduction isnt the issue. The issue is that the stagger reduction was the only thing that made it a mediocre exhaustion perk (its too situational to be good without it). If they added the noise reduction without exhaustion it would be moderately better but as it stands its going to be the absolute worst exhaustion perk (dedicated dead hard not withstanding). Balanced landing was only an issue on Haddonfield.

I'm saying that anyone who is good at the game understands that Balanced landing was overpowered and needed a nerf. It's barely an opinion at this point. There are strong objective facts to argue that it was an overpowered perk. It's like the people who say that nurse wasn't overpowered or spirit wasn't overpowered. If they think that, are they really the kind of people you think are good at the game and have an understanding of the game? I definitely know that they are not. I'm not insulting anyone. I'm just pointing out that all the best players agree that it was overpowered and in need of a nerf. If you are in disagreement with the best players in the game, what would that make you? Good at the game? Obviously not
Who are these "best players in the game" you keep referencing?
@Unicorn has said that most of the streamers they watch thought it was unnecessary. I'd imagine streamers (or at least the ones that play the game professionally) would surely fall under what you reference as "the best players in the game".
I'm not saying it was perfect before. It was, however, very situational. In fact it was almost useless on some maps. With the new changes its the worst of the exhaustion perks. Its too situational without any real benefit. Lithe and sprint burst have much more viability and arent tied down with specific situational usage. I feel that if the new BL had unlimited silent falls that would help hugely but as it looks like it stands its pretty garbage after the changes.

My statement was the way for me to say what I wanted to without insulting people and getting a ban. I fully stand by my previous statement
I mean you basically said anyone that doesnt agree with you is bad at the game. Thats is both insulting and uninformative. If you have a point to make by all means make it - dont insult everyone that disagrees with you because you cant articulate what youre trying to say

For the first question I'd like to know how many reports does it take for griefers to get any consequences, hopefully not many since one of the reasons I put this game down a long time ago was the griefing (was told theres new policy for it?). And the follow up is; by virtue of the survivors being 4 couldn't they potentially just report a killer and the killer gets 4 reports resulting in a quicker consequence? Would love to know since it feels like 30% of the time I'm reporting someone for tbagging at the exit or bodyblocking.
I dont think you understand the report categories properly...
"Body blocking" is reportable if someone is blocked into a corner and unable to move. If someone is in front of the hook you can just smack them out of the way. Saying "the survivor is making it difficult for me to hook a survivor and should be banned for it" is like saying when a killer stops a survivor doing a gen they should be banned for it. Do you get what I'm trying to say? If you can still interact with the players youre not being "body blocked".
As per your "survivors waiting at the exit gate are holding the game hostage" thats not true. You can smack them out and get extra points by doing it! I know a lot a survivors that do this, especially if you feel bad for the killer or think he played poorly. Also, with the EGC its impossible to hold the game hostage anymore (unless the survivors are hiding in lockers and not working on any gens but even that is arguable).
-
it's likely Freddy will get reworked again in someway if the stats released are anyway accurate. An 80% kill rate is a bit too much for a lot of survivors to accepts...
I do agree that forever Freddy is a true nightmare though

Sounds like mad grit for future games, that should put them in their place
For real! I never used to bring it because I assumed see would convey it and in solos you can see the wiggle stop so there'd be no real point... I literally got 5 Mat grit hits on a Bill in one game as I trekked to the basement. He single handily helped kill his team. And there's been lots of others like that
-
to be fair killer has been super easy lately. Survivors have been throwing games to complete challenges.
I'll be chasing a survivor for what would typically be a 2 gen run. As I'm carrying them to the hook I hear survivors running behind me. They literally aren't doing gens now and just camping hooks for saves

Regardless, Killers don't win unless they pip. A 2K at Rank 1 is a de-pip.
"killers don't win unless they pip"
would you consider it a win if you pipped but got 0k?
-
Let's also note that these stats don't include matches with DCs. Any game where a survivor DCs early is an almost instant win for the killer and lose for the survivors. If these stats actually included those I think we'd see a lot more survivors dying...
And please don't say "but my pips" as a reason that killers should be getting 4ks each match. Balance should not be based around pips. Pips should be based around balance.

@TheHourMan said:
That's not hard. You see hook tradeoffs happen all the time in EGC when the gate is open. Killer hooks and camps a surv. Other surv comes to save them, succeed, but gets hooked in the process, repeat until ome of them dies and the other 3 escape.
it's been a long time since I've seen hook trades at EGC. Typically it's a slugfest at the hook if survivors attempt and then a wait for EGC to kill the rest
-
@TAG said:
I'd want DS changed so that hooking someone else turns off DS, but in exchange the timer on DS pauses while a Survivor is on the ground so the Killer cannot simply slug it out and must go after someone else.
I'd be okay with that if it didn't turn off ds on those slugged.

Why we shouldn’t blame the devs. First off, with every game. With any new changes comes new bugs. Now I’m not trying to kiss anyone’s butt. But listen to me, you ain’t in the devs shoes. They’re trying to make the game balance as they can. Now, I’m not blaming the community I love the community but the thing is we all need to discuss why do we hate the archives event or aka the battle pass. We all voted for it, so we got it. And now I do see the complains that we gain little XP from the archives I do agree on it. Now, the other thing is. I do not agree that the spirit needed to be reworked or needed a nerf. But honestly if you were a dev yourself, any changes you do for the game. That you think will help balance the game, but not all of us agree with the changes. But we just need to move on. But honestly, In my opinion if we are nerfing killers. Why not nerf the survivor perks. Yes I know a few perks got balanced. But honestly, I still think they’re is a few more perks that needs to be balanced. Like I’m not sure if you all agree with me. But what about object of obsession I can only name right now. All I am saying we shouldn’t be rough on the devs. They’re doing the best they can to make the game balance. But you can’t make everyone happy. But honestly. Yes I do complain here and there. But I have stopped. Cause I ain’t a dev. I’m just a player.. we aren’t the developers. But come on guys. As a community let’s give the devs some props. Cause without them then we wouldn’t have Dead by daylight like is today. Btw happy early thanksgiving
They literally created this - who else is to blame?
We've been voicing our concerns since it was conceived. When we saw the difficulty of the future challenges we voiced that. We were told that those were "placeholders" and yet they havent changed anything as far as I can see.
The challenges are boring and grindy. They encourage throwing the game. It was a bad idea executed poorly.

I think its more in reference to how many keys people will be bringing now, which alot of killers arent a fan of
When I read that I immediately thought I'd be bringing in green keys and just using them at the start of the match. I dont think many people will bring in actually usable keys
-
I'm looking forward to getting two flashlight saves during end game collapse in a single match 😂
For real though the flashlight challenges are cancer. I feel like every killer brings lightborne and Franklin's when they see a flashlight. I've had killers say they did it just to stop survivors getting challenges...

why not make it like Friday the 13th. If you cant kill the survivors in the 20mins they survive/escape.

Why would they?
When you talk about you getting a 4K, do you include DCs?
You didn't kill them after all, they suicided instantly.
If all DC, do you feel like you did that?
I sure don't, and neither do they.
Do NOT include DC matches in those statistics!
No survivor is going to DC if they are winning (unless internet/power goes). If someone DCs against me its because they were already dead to begin with. A DC is much closer to a kill than an escape and it should be noted as such - not ignored completely.

Im fine with a good chase im not fine with a area that makes it impossible for the killer to catch up. (Infinites).
There is literally nowhere that the killer cant catch up though. Infinites are a thing of the past! Even balanced landing cant create infinites - just drags things out a bit. I suggest you play the game a bit more and learn how to play so you can know some of the basics! You'll get there in time - we were all new at some stage. Just dont let things like this frustrate you.

If more survivors were better, the devs would realize how unbalanced the game is and fix it.
Maybe if the devs fixed those broken loops then I, the power role and serial murderer, wouldnt be stressed out. Maybe if survivor took more skill then players(The lower ranks) would get better by default.
Maybe if Base Objective aka Generators were changed, then the old players who ditched it might come back, killers with little map pressure would prosper and survivors wouldnt be so bored they have to get caught for fun bc thats what I have to do sometimes.
This is all I have to say. Oh and yes, it is clickbait, but it got you to read it yes? Tell me how balanced the game is below
If more killers were better, the devs would realize how unbalanced the game is and fix it.
Both sides can say it about the other. Its clearly the opinions of those that dont play much of the other side. The game is currently more balanced than it has ever been. Its nowhere near perfect but its in a good place. If you cant see that you're wearing "main coloured glasses"...

the they shouldn't really listen to much on reddit or here. both are horribly biased. game data is the best way to tell how this killer is performing when compared to previous killers upon release/ptb

No to killers
And survivours
I get where you're both coming from.
The killer nerfs tend to hit only a few killers.
The survivor nerfs, though moderate have been quite numerous, and any survivor change effects ALL survivors so it's always felt more

Balance landing got adjusted because it had a potential to create a infinite loop...plus it was an Exhaustion perk that didnt give you Exhaustion...
So, some survivors would rather have an Exhaustion perk that doesn't give Exhaustion and can make infinite loops instead of any sort of consistency or balance in the game. Okay then.
it literally couldn't be an infinite. the killer has speed and bloodlust. it's a needless nerf ontop of all the recent survivor nerfs...
-
No. Just... no.
If you have a problem with it - just slug! Or don't tunnel!
They don't have immunity when doing gens/totems. You can hit them instead of grabbing them! Sheesh

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then. I as a survivor don't personally have a problem with him having this in his basekit. I don't play him but I don't think this is as broken as you think it is.
I'm fine having risks or killers that can completely negate a perk I bring, as perks that can completely negate certain killers also exists on the other side.
Negating regular perks is fine. Negating perks to get around campers / tunnelers is not fine. Thats the issue.

Theyve repeatedly said not to report DCs in game. They are being monitored.
Also, it's not just survivors that DC. I have roughly 5killers dc per night...
-
tbh sometimes you have to quit. I had a game where I was hooked in the basement and a Steve came to unhook me. The Freddy came back and blocked us both in there. I could understand if the killer was trying to wait out BT but that doesn't effect Freddy. He just stopped us from getting past. We go left he goes left. We go right and he goes right. He could have easily hit one or both of us but just wanted to block us in there and not let us play the game. I'm not playing those games.
-
I can't see the difference between Legacy and event skins that people had to grind for. Either release both to all or neither. I can't understand how it's one but not the other
-
If two equally skilled teams compete the 2 kills and 2 escapes is the goal. It's not that they want every game to be like that, and in fact most don't. If every second game was a 4k or 4 escape that would also average the same. The point of the goal is that one side isn't consistently dominating over the other.

You obviously don't understand the word "forced". If some jackass tries to drop all the pallets in one match that's his fault, not the devs, not the challenges, not the archives.
It's understandable that some people just want to get the challenges out of the way so they can play the game normally again. You obviously don't understand people.
It's similar to last year's Blight event. People throw the main game to progress for event items. I honestly prefer someone to throw one game entirely than to partially screw multiple games
-
I enjoyed tier 1 as they were just done pretty much concurrently with regular games. Now I see so many games thrown over challenges. Survivors sandbagging eachother because one wanted to heal the other but they needed to self care, survivors dropping every pallet on the map in a single chase, and killers just farming to get challenges done...
-

Its not bugged. You have to heal yourself to 2 health states with SC equipped. It doesnt say you need to do it through SC. Same reason why people doing the This Is Not Happening challenge on Level 1 with No Mither were wasting their time.
I thought the This Is Not Happening one would count great skill checks - regardless of my health but it didn't. It only counted them if I was injured. If you got it some other way then I guess it is bugged?

Its useless now. If the killer has any form of stealth the killer can see the survivor but the survivor cant see the killer! If a survivor is still running this perk theyre an idiot and you shouldnt have any issues.

I love how with all the backlash for the tier 4 challenges we were told "they're just placeholders" when the tier 2 challenges are almost as bad! Some challenges, even with 4 kills, will take at least 5 games to finish! Whatever happened to "an hour a day"...

I dont think its stubbornness. When playing against a huntress or a killer with spirit fury survivors drop the pallet early (Adapt). Nurse had literally no counterplay at a pallet. Her power boycotted this. At least now survivors can take the fatigue time to lose LoS. How would you have played differently to the original nurse at a pallet?

Since a few weeks I see a rise in key drop rate for chests. Key's are unfair especially if you do you job good as killer, you get easily robbed by a keyI wouldn't mention if they were "rare" but it feels they aren't no more. Just my opinion.
Well its obvious youre seeing an increase in keys - its the only survivor item worth a damn anymore! Prior to this people would run plunders and Ace in the hole for good medkits, etc but now that insta heals were nerfed, why waste 2 perks when plunders could net you a key instead?
Besides, we cant really complain about keys when moris exist and seem far more common imho
