Usually fall into this category but I do get the occasional complete lack of understanding survivor and rarely the good survivor team mate
-
Don't let this thread get buried
BHVR needs to know we are not okay with being literally scammed.
Unlink the sets
-
The grind is pretty compulsory
For both survivor and killer, you will lose significantly more often without meta perks than you will with them, especially if you're not playing in a SWF or not playing a top tier killer
-
My experience playing against Nemesis is that the zombies are quite a nuisance if you don't have a flashlight, at least once a match a zombie would harass me while working a gen even on outdoor maps. Would be powerful combined with ruin. Also because nemesis sees the zombies auras they give him good info ie zombie chasing with arms out? survivor there. Zombie dazed? Survivor flashlight stunned zombie here recently. Zombie on top of a gen and not chasing a survivor? Must not be survivors working on it. I think that info they give is qutie good and when people start to realize it, they'll say they're not that bad, although them sometimes getting stuck is an issue I've noticed.
-
They do, at least they're supposed to.
I've seen a chris with a Leon Portrait, although maybe that's a one off bug. Claire works fine. Even if it's bugged I'm sure it'll be fixed by the next update
-
They either need to unlink these or offer refunds to people who purchased cosmetic pieces before it became linked.
They literally scammed people who bought pieces by retroactively linking them. These people cannot use their pieces that they purchased before it was linked.
-
It's because there's 3 characters, it's the same price as the stranger things chapter
-
@kate_best_girl said:
Guys you realize its the same price either way right? Linked or not you still need to pay $10
You only need to buy the torso/legs.
The head piece is literally the exact same as the default on both of them.
-
I swear it wasn't linked at first and it became linked within the first hour of the DLC being live
I guarantee you they did it because the heads are literally just default heads and they didn't want to reduce the overall price of the cosmetic by not giving it a head. Literal cash grab
UNLINK THE SET
-
Happens from survivors perspective too
-
As a survivor and a killer I heavily dislike the new Franklin's
The drain rate is significant enough that pretty much by the time you get anything back it will have lost a significant portion of it's charges.
This means flashlights and medkits will lose a significant portion of their usage while toolboxes and keys are barely affected.
Toolboxes you can just use all their charges at the start of the match and you're not missing much.
Keys work even with no charges
-
Midwich and Shelter Woods IMO

Current iri head is in a pretty good spot I'd say. You only get one before you reload and I feel that's pretty fair. High risk for high reward. The problem with making it into a range requirement is that good huntresses can still get multiple downs pretty easy with it, especially on open maps like the cornfield.
I mean it's bad, sure if you get the hit you get a bit of a time save, but the amount of time you're going to spend reloading is just going to kill you even if you have 100% perfect accuracy and never miss
But the old iri heads were OP so it's definately better this way than how it was before.

m1 the generators that usually sends the message
-
This is not an unpopular opinion. He is the strongest stealth killer though IMO
-
Is it possible he was using a stealth build?
I like to use a stealth build on blight sometimes.
Vigos Journal, Trail of Torment, Dark Devotion, Death bound, Tinkerer
You can end up spending a LOT of the match undetectable, so it's possible you just never encountered him when he wasn't.
-
Trickster is bad but I don't want him to be good because he is boring
-
You always get the standard characters.
On PC the deluxe edition has some extras but nothing that actually matters
Stranger Things edition has a cosmetic pack + strange things DLC (demogorgan, steve, nancy)
Silent Hill Edition comes with hag, ace, cheryl, pyramid head, clown, kate, spirit, adam , doctor, feng and some cosmetics for pyramid head/cheryl
-
SB DS UB (Kindred/BT/maybe resurgence)
When Im in a SWF I just replace last perk with adren
-
If this last test is at all indicative of how it's going to be a I like it. Both my team mates and opponents tended to be more competent. Rarely were killers getting totally walked over as a survivor. When I was playing killer, my survivors were all pretty competent and it made it pretty fun.
In the previous tests, I had issues with matchmaking times, but I am a 3500 hour player so I was probably rated quite high, but matchmaking times while not always perfect were pretty good this time around.

It’s against forum rules to encourage DC.
Actually the game being held hostage is one of the few scenarios where it's okay to DC
-
still occurs in 4.7.2
-
I don't enjoy playing against nurse hag or spirit at all. Spirit is probably the least bad offender of anti fun. Nurse is only bad if the player is good and hag is just boring no matter how you put it.
While not meta, I also dislike playing against pyramid head and deathslinger.
-
There's literally nothing fine about spirit IMO
Overpowered base kit
Overpowered addons
Badly designed gameplay that removes input and interaction from the survivor.

Hmm, I guess I hadn't thought of that. It takes a special type of ragequitter to crash their game and go through a good five minutes getting it started again plus five more to get into their next match.
PC players with SSD boot their games much faster than 5 minutes. Like 1-2 minutes is a more realistic time. People with SSDs can crash their games in the loading screen to avoid map offerings (which also incurs no DC penalty) and be back on the game and queuing again before any of the other players in that match get their match cancelled and get sent back to main menu.

Oh?
Ok, tell me how it works then.
Every game (in DBD) I have been in with one party lagging has put them at a disadvantage in my experience.
With the party lagging, and therefore seeing players teleport, ect.
So how exactly does a killer with bad internet have a advantage? Im genuinely curious.
DBD uses a favor the shooter system. This means if it hits on the killer screen, it hits even if it doesn't look like it on the survivor screen. Hit validation only protects survivors from the most extreme cases of lag, and a killer with a stable 200-250 ping will consistently get hits they shouldn't over pallets and windows.
-
All the DLC + game is like at least $150
And I've probably gotten $150-200 of auric cells over the years, but I've been playing since it came out in 2016
-
Usually it's just a taunt, it could mean something else in context though, it's usually obvious if it does though.

Okay, Camaraderie has always been a weird perk in my opinion. But it looks like it was supposed to be an anti-camping perk? Which made me confused why other survivors trigger it. I might be wrong, maybe it wasn't supposed to be an anti-camping perk. But if it is, this change will make this perk more reliable in my opinion.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4YEVED0TKYDO/camaraderie.png
What do you think?
I think the perk should just be activated by pressing active ability button while in the struggle phase instead.
-
Stop with the totem protection perks like geez.
There are 5 totems on the map and they're there for survivors to cleanse.
We have undying, retribution, thrill of the hunt, and haunted grounds like it's enough now.
It's already worse enough with the mission in archive to kill the survivors, we don't need more stuff defending strong perks like ruin.

-
They probably just changed their steam name to your name, then typed in chat as any name changes will update in the game chat, but will not update on the score board.

Still occurring in 4.7.2

I do agree with having DS activate whenever you're unhooked, not just once per trial. If it is so focused on being an anti-tunnelling perk, it should stick to that like glue.
Thinking on the timer a bit, I don't think it's a good idea to make it last forever, but the timer should definitely pause itself while the killer is still on your trail, be it while the killer is in chase or in close proximity. Giving it no timer whatsoever would mean that you can run around as bait when the killer has no way of knowing whether your DS is still up or not, potentially wasting huge amounts of their time. Conversely, the timer as it is currently does punish survivors that lead the killer on a 50+ second chase by disabling their anti-tunnel perk, even if they are being very hard-core tunnelled.
I disagree on it not deactivating on self-heal though. If you have the opportunity to heal yourself, then you're not properly tunnelled.
And, rather than it deactivating on another survivor being unhooked, it should deactivate upon another survivor getting hooked. After all, if the killer went after someone else and hooked them instead of you, the killer isn't tunnelling. This also fixes the possibility of DS-bait for unhook, which is a dirty strat for survivors.
Point 3 is fine, since it counteracts anti-DS slugging, helping the perk fulfill its proper goal. It would just deactivate when you get back up.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2250515#Comment_2250515
These changes wouldn't even put it close to where it was, since the survivor would still be unable to contribute to their team if they want to use DS. DS would -only- work if the killer refuses to interact with any other survivor.
You cannot run around as bait for the killer forever with the proposed changes. Any survivor being unhooked deactivates the DS, even if the person with the DS was not the person who did the unhook. Even if a survivor decides to run around and be bait, they are also not helping their team do gens, they may as well be on the hook while doing that and the killer can safely ignore them and chase someone else. Once someone else has been unhooked, you know for sure it is safe to chase the survivor trying to bait you to eat DS. Of course if the survivor decides to do a generator or heal someone else, you know that you are free to chase them as well.
Also its entirely possible to self heal while being tunneled. Syringes exist as well as green medkits + healing speed addons/perks (which can heal you in 5-8 seconds, something that is totally achievable mid chase. This is especially true with Jill's new upcoming perk resurgence. After coming off the hook with resurgence, you can heal yourself with a green med kit in 4 seconds. Addons and perks can make that even shorter. So it's totally possible to do a 4 second heal and still be tunneled off the hook
You could be right about it being on hooking another survivor though, I just figured it's still kinda tunelling if you get unsafely unhooked. The unhooker is thrown on the hook instantly and then he chases you right after though, but that is also the fault of the survivor doing the unhooking for making a bad play so maybe that's fine. Also just interacting with a hook is enough to deactivate your DS (as it is now) so you can't really bait a hook with DS since the moment you touch the hook, the killer knows you have deactivated your DS.
Overall, these changes would make it really hard to accidently eat a DS, you just need to keep in mind the last unhooked person probably has DS unless you see them do something that deactivates it (gen, totem, attempted unhook, heal someone else). This person can pretty safely be ignored entirely because their DS will be deactivated by not tunneling and going for someone else.

Ah, make the perk that used to be THE most ran perk and was extremely OP even ######### better than it used to be... there's nothing wrong with how DS is now.
DS was never the most used perk as far as I am aware, the devs stats have showed that self care is the most used by a significant margin.
Even before the nerf DS had a usage rate of 25% which is less than a lot of perks, I'm pretty sure DS wasn't even top 5 last time devs released usage rate stats on multiple perks, but I don't remember for sure

@Kumakx said:
DS should be changed from having a timer to purely to conditional deactivation. Conditions would be the exact same as current with 2 minor changes
Survivor will just hop in locker and stay there for 15 mins or untill another hook. Timer is needed, but since so many actions deactivate DS now, it could be maybe extended.
Other than that i dont mind other changes tbh.
I don't think there's a problem with that, it's not like a survivor jumping in a locker is contributing to the team
I don't think the killer should be threatening a survivor with active DS enough that they feel the need to locker hide unless they are pressuring 2 survivors at once or they are willing to eat the DS.
-
Should survivors get a free DC if ruin lasts longer than 5 minutes?
-
Calling them outdated implies they were ever good. They weren't. I don't event think aftercare is worth running because the affect is lost on hook. You'd be better with bond empathy or kindred and even among those I think kindred is the only good one.
-
Just remember their locations and you can check for NOED after all the gens are done. Cleansing all the toems is not reliable unless you're in a 4 man SWF and can work together to keep track of all totems with comms. A totem hunting build can make it reliable but totem hunting builds are bad compared to a meta build.
-
Blight is basically the ultra rare 3 blink nurse addon that sucks but it's his entire power and doesn't suck so yeah.
-
Pig dash might have more lunge but with pig dash you HAVE to swing at the end. This means even if it pans out, you get a slowdown.
Also with pig while crouching you move slower rather than wraith being faster, combine this with it being hard to see while crouched and if pig crouches at a loop the survivor can just W away, where as if the survivor tries to W away from wraith he moves faster when he is cloaked.
Also one thing your speed boost on wraith does not account for is that you can use your lunge to stack the lunge speed boost with the cloak speed boost for a mega speed boost coming out of cloak almost like the dash.
Wraith also has a much better set of addons. The only addon that helps pig at all with her dash/chase potential in a significant way is combat straps. There is one for faster dash charge but it's not as good as combat straps. Where as wraith gets wonderful addons like the multiple rarities of windstorm, the bone clapper, the silent bell. Just look at their aura read ons. Both wraith and pig have an addon that gives them aura read in their stealth mode, and pigs has a downside of giving her less traps and that's in addition to the fact that pig's crouch is mostly worse than wraith's.
-
People are tunelling because people have stopped running DS.
It's usage rate dropped from like 25 to 15%, killers are taking advantage of the fact they are significantly less likely to be punished. Run DS.
The more people that are using DS, the less killers will tunnel.

Uh, Sluzzy, idk how to tell you this but uh... That's how the perk already works.
I mean technically yes, but they can just kick the gen again after the stun is over.
Repressed alliance kind of does what this perk wants to do but better.
make the effect non temporary so you can put it on a gen and it will stay trapped until it is triggered.
In addition, the stun duration could be increased by 2-3 seconds.
-
Spirit's sword is the coolest IMO.
Especially because the way it appears when she uses it and phases back into her hand when she isn't. Even If I don't like the killer that much, I can't deny that I really like her weapon.
I'm a dummy who chose the wrong option though. I accidently chose misc instead of swords. Really wish there was an option to change my vote.
-
Probably more of a technical limitation than a intentional leave out that survivors bodies don't change much . Even with the very basic clown Mori, you can jankily see the survivors finger roll back into their hand to "hide" it. like it got a cut off.
-
Streamers and a lack of good competition. No other game has managed to be polished and grant the same experience that DBD does, except for maybe Evolve IMO. Evolve got shut down by it's publisher even though it had potential to be great with the right attention from it's devs though.
-
Trickster has a pretty low skill ceiling so I've played against a few good ones but it's not like a good trickster is doing some crazy plays that bad trickster aren't. They're just accurate with their knives and zone towards loops where they are effective.
-
Fear is your weapons is like 1 game on a strong snowball killer without playing any differently. Just play blight with ring or oni (or nurse if you're good enough at her) and throw this perk on them its great on them anyways.
The other challenge is dumb though, I just did it by farming.
-
idk Blights iri addons are crazy strong
Compound 33 lets you break pallets in 1.5 seconds that is as fast as spirt fury enduring. This is brutal strength on steroids, at every pallet. Even if they stun you and run, you have one of the best killers at dealing with hold W in the game.
Iri blight tag is also crazy. It's tricky to use but a skilled blight can waste bumps to engineer a situation where they get a hit with the last one for pretty consistent 1 shots while also leaving room for counterplay on the survivors part. I think it's one of the best designed 1 shot addons in that regard.
In fact the only iri in the game right now I think is overpowered is black incense on the plague.
There are lot of underwhelming iri addons but I don't think iri addons should be super strong because they're high rarity, they should have interesting affects that change up the killer, not make them ridiculously strong. Even though I don't think it's OP, perma tier 3 meyers is probably the worst offender in this regard. It basically puts his power on steroids even if it takes a little longer to get it.
