  • He's not terrible but he's not good either, hopefully if he every leaves that state it's a total rework though, as he pretty much has all the problems old legion has.

He nullifies a lot of survivor skill completely, dodging doesn't really matter when he just constantly throws a flurry of blades, loop skills dont matter because he just spams blades. Only thing you can do is run high wall loops and even then he can still get blade hits, albeit much more slowly.

God forbid you get a map like blood lodge and have a grand total of like 4 good high wall loops.

  • Killers have literally never been stronger than survivors, so by your own reasoning this has never been a horror based game, lol.

  • BT is intentionally a deterrent to discourage camping even when not in play because camping is not a fun play style

  • The movie characters and the mask itself are 2 separate licenses. BHVR has the mask license so the character itself is OG wearing the costume they have the license for

  • Bro that build may as well be only ruin, if you encounter a killer running it just leave the ruin up and do the gens, works gens in pairs of 2 so that if the killer interrupts one person runs away and the other can hide then get back on it. I can see how it might be tough against a high mobility killer or hit and run killer but that killer is going to have basically no info so he's relying entirely on game sense to find survivors

  • for a 4 man , wait it out

for 3-solo just find unaffected gen

if its a prep killer like hag or trapper, harass their traps and do a gen if they chase someone

Using an external script/macro is completely different from using a DPI that is low enough that some people (like myself) permanently use for everything. This new thing is clearly an exploit, that is taking advantage of the new turn rate cap.

Coming from the person who made the macro almost all the blights in these clips are using. Literally all it does is tell your computer that you are moving the mouse very quickly to the left or the right depending on what key you are pressing. It's nothing that you can't do by setting your DPI to ridiculously high levels, like 25000+

That is what an actual exploit looks like. It's using some sort of external script/macro, and should be removed.

All the macro does is emulate extremely fast mouse movements so that anyone on PC can do it and not just people with mice that can have 25K+ DPI

BBQ is a healthy perk because it forces the killer to seek out multiple survivors, and provides an objective besides camping. That's why it has BPs, because it helps survivors almost as much as it helps the killer.

WGLF is a perk that gets you protecting other survivors, and making good plays that take pressure off those survivors, as well as rewarding safe unhooks. So again it's rewarding play that helps the other players.

I'm not really sure what else they could add to WGLF, or what perks could get the BP bonus instead, that would help out the other players in the game as much as WGLF. Babysitter maybe? But that's even more niche.

BT shouldn't get it, because it's a meta perk on it's own right. It doesn't make you a target over the survivor you unhooked, it just gives them a free health state.

BT or We'll make it come to mind

  • Surveillance is decent perk that has a place in a few builds. I'd reccomend picking it up if you don't own The Pig, since she is licensed and you would need to buy her to get it otherwise.

  • I got reset from 1 to 20 as killer and have had the opposite experience. I'm a try hard though so maybe the survivors were just salty. At rank 1 survivors usually don't say much.

Bbq isn't actually all that great, most people including myself use it just for the BP. Like sure I can see someone across the map but they can soon hide the aura behind a gen or in a locker, even if they dont it's a long distance to waste time and I'll probably lose that gen especially as a 110 speed. If bbq lost the bp I'd run tremors, or whatever the new bp earning perk is. Plus it's a 4v1, I'm bound to find someone regardless of an aura 40+meters away

    It's far better than WGLF.

BBQ is going to give you useful information at least once a game.

With WGLF you'd be lucky to heal a slug up once every 3 games.

  • I kind of like it. It's a little easier to wait out but that's rarely an issue in my experience, maybe if you're in a really dead zone but if the killer is camping a dead zone it may just be best to gen rush instead of unhook.

Plus the removal of the limitation means some of the more obnoxious methods of camping like undetectable camping, sitting a short distance away with hag to run back right away and teleport if they trigger trap, or sitting far away waiting to throw hatchets at the hook as a huntress.

  • I just wish WGLF's benefit was good enough to be a meta perk IE the bloodpoint bonus was attached to BT because I would literally always run it if that were the case. At least if killers are deciding to run a perk for BP they're also getting a meta info perk that is always useful. Survivors though? Sorry you get a niche ability that will only occasionally come in handy

  • I have not noticed this at all as killer and have gotten plenty of hits through pallets

Alight, new Blight tech is called Beyblede Blight fight me, you can even shorten it to BB :)

may I do this on Console

maybe with a modded controller, unlikely though

Not enough rotations to call it a helicopter if you ask me. Looks more like the drunken stumbling tech.

The clip in the OP shows but a fraction of the turning you can do with this, you literally can spin like a helicopter blade

  • Second wind should get a small buff too, just change the requirement from having to fully heal a survivor to completing a single heal, that way coop heals or heals that have been partially done with a medkit/self care still count

I don't mean to sound rude but...this isn't a serious question is it? Perhaps you should check what a VPN is, it's not a lag switch I can promise you that.

A VPN can still be used to put yourself in a far away server to intentionally have bad ping. Whether or not you consider it cheating is semantics but as far as I know it is not bannable

  • Ghost face has 2 states, "Out of Sight" and "Discerned."

In order to reveal ghost face, you must put him in the "Discerned" state for 1.5 seconds.

The triggering condition for doing this is having at least 20% of ghostface's body in the center 26% of your screen. You must be cautious though, as your own survivors body often takes up a signfiicant portion of the center 26% of the screen, which can make this difficult to do. You can use a software crosshair to visualise the center of your screen better to understand why you are or are not revealing him. (if you're on PC, maybe on console with certain monitors/tvs with built in crosshair functionality)

It is also worth noting that there is a .3 second buffer to ghost face's state switching. This means that you have to look at him for .3 seconds before that 1.5 seconds starts ticking but you can technically stop looking during the last .3 seconds of the reveal, which ,combined with latency, is why you often can get revealed around corners as ghostface.

Of course none of this is an excuse for ghostface reveals mechanic being so janky and there is a great deal the devs could do to improve it, like make it to where your survivors body doesn't block the detection area or offset the detection area upwards so you do it with the top of the screen, but understanding how it works can make him less frustrating to deal with.

  • Don't like it, if you do this literally everyone will just start running sprint burst instead since it get's used at the start of chase and is arguably just as strong as dead hard while not getting hit by this nerf at all.

  • Maybe you could argue it's a little toxic if you use it to instantly tunnel and mori someone off their second hook since it avoids DS but other than that, it's just a remnant from moris being OP

  • I only dodge if I'm on an unlucky streak.

ie. got sent to a bad map like 5 games in a row and see another offering for a bad map.

  • Everything about this except frank's mixtape is fine.

There's a reason legion originally got gutted when he was made, the ability to reduce people's deep wound timer with basically nothing you can do about it was one of the most boring killers in the game and it used to be a base kit function on legion that could have the number of hits required reduced with addons. Because it was prior to DC penalties, a legion match without at least 1 DC was EXTREMELY rare.

No one wants to play against a legion who brainlessly just frenzy, waits for cooldown , frenzy, waits for cooldown, frenzy hit to down you because it takes no skill. Legion while in the power pretty much completely nullifies survivor skill to avoid getting hit, pallets dont matter you can respect them and vault if they throw it or catch up with your move speed if they don't, windows don't matter because legion vaults fast enough that the survivor makes almost no distance and that increased move speed means the distance they do make is pretty much worthless. This is why frenzy can only injure survivors and why frank's mix tape is a very bad add-on. If it's ever going to be good, it needs a complete rework, not a buff.

  • The most direct face camping counter is currently camaraderie which will pause your hook timer for 34 seconds.

Although I wish instead of triggering when a survivor came near the hook it would instead trigger if you are about to die on the hook as currently triggering it requires good communication with your team which is bad for solo q, where the perk would probably be more valuable if it actually worked well.

  • @Yords said:

At this point I'm not even surprised. Is it really that hard to set a maximum turn distance when swinging during a lethal rush? Better yet, to test things?

They literally did. The video in the OP is an intentional amount of turning. Mclean described how it works on his stream

When you swing with a lethal rush your movement vector is instantly turned to your camera direction vector

This means it's INTENTIONAL to have "double dip" turning where your first turn your camera as far as possible, then swing and continue to turn more during the swing.

What was unintentional is that a sufficiently high sensitivity input device was capable of turning basically any amount BEFORE going for a swing thus giving instant turns to any direction, this however has been PATCHED and what remains is completely intentional.

  • Lmao anyone who thinks what you can do now is a jflick is just showing that they really didn't understand the jflick before and they STILL don't now.

You can turn just as much now without using the jflick as you could before the update, just goes to show how so many people didn't realize that not all flicks are j flicks. It is INTENDED for blight to be able to flick after a rush the ONLY thing that has changed is that you cannot do instant 180s.

2 of the biggest reasons people argued for removal was that 1) it was an "exploit" becuase it was unintended. which is completly meaningless, plenty of mechanics in games are created on accident, including a large amount of DBD's. The other being that it wasn't possible on controller.

While I don't play with a controller, I see people saying its possible there now AND they have removed the unintended turning behavior.

Just goes to show that the whole "it's an exploit and it's not possible on console" argument was a facade for "I am bad at the game and am not interested in learning how to play better"

  • I got this in a game where I ran double apples, survivors are more likely to cleanse if you already have a ton of fountains, letting you get the challenge done.

  • They should nerf it so people stop using it

  • hag and plague should be hard not very hard

    nurse should be very hard

maybe blight on very hard? You can use him like a fast m1 killer which does make him just "hard" but using him to his full potential is very hard

    probably huntress to moderate

  • @loopsahoy said:

The thing is, most slightlys and moderatelys and considerably and on are different

Hell, in some cases different words mean the exact same thing.

Surgical Suture slightly increases heal speed (green addon)

medical scissors moderately increase heal speed (yellow addon)

needle and thread slight increases healing speed (yellow addon)

all 3 of these addons increase healing speed by 15%

Goes to show just how useless the terminology is.

  • I think it'd be fine if they just upped the base regression rate (maybe the same speed as ruin) but reduced ruins speed so that ruin isn't any different to how it was before.

The idea to make it take a couple seconds for regression to be stopped seems fine though, although it applying to ruin as well is unnecessary power creep for an already strong perk so I don't think it should apply to ruin.

  • I disagree

RBTs are not supposed to kill, they are supposed to make you spend time not on gens which they do just fine, they just need slightly more fixed RNG so that luck doesn't make or break your pig games.

  • for some reason my log file was 300 Mb making it too large to upload to the forums so this google drive upload will have to do instead

  • He's a stealth killer with good map mobility and can do a big lunge. Only downside is he has a short channel to leave stealth get his big lunge and he has a strong set of add-ons.

Before the buff I'd have said ghost face is the strongest stealth killer, but wraith is good now.

  • Myers has undetectable status when in tier 1, making him immune to aura reading. Not a bug

  • I hate indoor maps as both sides

    I hate Haddonfield as killer

  • Matchmaking uses the highest person in the parties rank high disparity just happens.

In my most recent blight games the collision became so wonkey I slid off of the shack's flat walls and even slid against the walls from one side of the shack to the other no matter how much I tried to move to be completely flat against the wall.

Something is up with his collision this patch as I never slid off of shack walls before(Let alone when I run flat against them).

Blight has 2 methods of collision detection

The first is a raycast which comes out of the front of the blights model, it's basically a tiny line. The second uses your attack cone to see if the attack cone intersects with something.

Generally speaking the raycast works on most (but not all) objects but requires a very flat angle to trigger the bounce. There are a few exceptions to this though (like ormond snow piles)

The attack cone while it doesn't generally require a very flat angle to trigger just doesn't work on a lot of objects. Basically if you walk up to the object and swing at it and it doesn't collide with the object this method of detection doesn't work.

The walls of certain shacks fail to be detected by the attack cone, but works just fine with the raycast, so on the shacks where this applies must keep in mind it will only work if you have a very flat angle, but you can use this to your advantage, for example to slide around the corner and get a hit you normally wouldn't be able to.

  • He's not unplayable you just have to learn what you slide on and what you bounce on. Some maps are worse than others, but once you've got it down you can actually use sliding to your advantage a lot of the time.

Some of the more major changes that I know of:

    • Wraith was buffed.
    • Undying, Decisice Strike, and Iri Head were all nerfed.
    • Breakdown now permanently breaks hooks due to a bug.
    • Oppression, Starstruck, and No Way Out are now some of the "hot new killer perks" (based on how often I see them used).

And as for what's about to change, some of the survivor models are being updated, and hook struggle is getting replaced with skillchecks.

I also heard that Freddy was nerfed, but I've never played Freddy, so I don't know the severity of the nerf.

The freddy nerf and iri head nerf isn't in yet, not until he update which is probably on tuesday.

That doesn't mean their skills improved, it just means survivors got smarter and learned how to use it in different situations. Also you said killers adapted to a broken perk, what perk are you talking about?

survivors being smarter and learning how to use something in different situations is pretty much the definition of improving DBD survivor skill lol

  • Dead hard is complained about because it's beneficial affect is the most obvious.

It's obvious when someone stays alive because of dead hard and takes on loops for another 30-50 seconds that dead hard caused all that time wasted.

When someone uses sprint burst to effectively never be out of position it can be just as good if not even stronger because they're always running the maps safest loops and occasionally get dead hard+ levels of value by 99ing the exhaustion. This is not as "in the face" of the killer and keeps the survivor alive in a more indirect way, despite having the same or even better some would argue levels of strength.
