This is more of an add-on specific strategy, not an Onryo playstyle.

    Not even

I use 2 brown add ons most games and this strat still works just fine. The green add on just spreads condemned much faster and easier since you tend to slug quite a bit when playing this way.

I will say this, larger maps do make this strat a bit harder to pull off.

  • well I guess Im a copycat now

You're already grinding through a bloodweb that costs tons of bps. I'm okay with that. But to add insult to injury by forcing you to purchase the next prestige level? Are you telling me you don't find that ridiculous?

maybe, if it was 100k+ BP

its literally 20k BP, you get that in 1 game

  • Dredge

because that chase music is a bop

  • now this

    this is pure gold

  • "oh no the meg pressed CTRL a few times! Im never going to be nice again!"

Huh I didn't know that...then why don't they just do that if they are worried about snipers

Its so they can interact with their viewers more. I personally dont mind stream sniping.

If I lose, I lost to a guy with a clear advantage

If I win, I won against a guy with a clear advantage

I also dont take the game as serious as most players and just tend to dick around, keeps me in a better mood and Im sure its more fun to watch that than some one acting like a manchild

The thing is Twitch has probably a 30+ sec delay between your game and their stream so you can't technically stream snipe. I found that out when I was playing survivor and wanted to watch another survivors Twitch stream after I got sacrificed and noticed there was a delay going on.

A streamer can set if they want a delay or not

It can also be because of bad net tho. Mine isnt the best (aint the worst either) so I have about a 5 second delay whenever I stream

  • I think thats alright, considering you dont really want a single Survivor perk to be as influential on a match as a killer perk.

  • I always think maining a character because you like their personality, cosmetics, lore, etc is a better mindset than maining a character because of their viability

Because no matter what, youll enjoy playing them.

You can't even make it to a vault now, let alone make any meaningful distance against an M1 killer. Every survivor I've ran across with DS has only gotten ran over mercilessly.

Bruh in the clip she takes it so wide she basically asked for it.

  • Self Care was probably one of the most slept on Survivor perks. To have a heal on demand without any requirements is nothing to scoff at.

Sure CoH provides team wide heals, how ever people forget to take into account:

    - Having to place down the Boon.

    - Having to run over into its radius every time you get injured

    - Finally going through with the heal.

    - Running back into the play area

When Im playing killer I always try to have a "territory". Going for a mid to late game play with 3 or 4 gens in mind and I dont really venture out too far from it, unless an opportunity arises. If a Boon is set up away from there I just leave it, Survivors waste so much time just going back and forth healing and they dont even realize it.

When a Boon is set up in my territory how ever, I try to find it as fast as possible. Since then Survivors waste a lot less time going back and forth healing, making it a lot harder to snowball. I also waste a lot less time stuffing the boon since Im not really going out of my way to get rid of it.

TLDR: Self Care slept on, CoH overrated

Play some Nurse, new DH gives zero distance so you can't guarantee avoid her second blink. If they DH as you blink right on them, you can wait and lunge after. If they don't you can instahit, and if they wait a full second you can still get the hit relatively easy by waiting till last second, then lunging.

I've played a good chunk of Nurse after update and trust me, even well timed DH is unreliable. Also it's not as prevalent. Feels real good to play Nurse now.

Still havent gotten the chance to play Nurse nor have I used new DH yet. How ever most of the time you would need to use the 2nd Blink to get a down so I guess there would be a little mindgame there... But youre right it wouldnt be very reliable

The DH nerf is by far the biggest Nurse buff. The rest helps, but that's the big one. Also the DS nerf, pretty huge nerf.

I don't know what baby survivors you are getting that will allow you to "chase them off gens" for 20 minutes solid. Most good survivors are going to barely respect your presence as Sadako when you are nearby their gen, and will start working on it the second you go away. The only way to stop gens is by downing people, which Sadako is terrible at.

Condemned is trivial to remove, and without multiple stacks of STBFL (a horrible choice on a killer who can't preserve the stacks) they can just put the tape into the TV right in your face even if they are incompetent enough to actually reach full condemned in the first place.

And that's not even getting into how the survivors can just disable your teleportation power, or how she needs to run her absolute best addons to make her power even a mild threat in chase.

Dredge does everything she does but 5x better, that's all there is to it. There is no secret way of playing her that your average DBD player just hasn't "learned yet"

Aight, if you say so. But please, keep crying about her being weak

Might actually be able to end a match in a reasonable amount of time

  • @DEMONANCE said:

there's absolutely nothing unique about sadako she's the most basic killer in the game even more than trapper. there's not a single thing she does that others don't already do and far better.

you guys really need to stop with these delusional arguments.

and your suggested playstyle would take ages to accomplish anything or it wouldn't even do anything in the first place since survivors don't bother to take the tapes when it's actually better to let her use the tvs lol.

you're dedicating your whole gameplay hoping for her near impossible mori to happen i Don't see how most people would wanna play like that when there a lot of other killers that don't require such effort to have a chance to win.

I can't blame you for thinking that way, she does seem very basic on the surface but when you actually put in the time to learn her, its a whole different story.

And yes, it does take ages to accomplish. My games as Sadako tend to last around 15-20 minutes on average. All you do is chase people off gens and focus down one Survivor.

Survivors tend to not grab tapes because most people simply don't know how to play Sadako, they don't play with Condemned in mind. With this playstyle you almost force them to grab tapes.

When you dedicate your gameplay to something it becomes much more possible, in fact I get at least 1 Condemned kill almost every game I play as her. She does require a lot of time to learn and I understand why most people don't want to spend that time on something that wont get them guaranteed results like Nurse or Blight.

I have come to believe that some people just aren't meant to play killer honestly.

Unless they have a map telling them step by step exactly what to do, they really don't know what to do with that killer if it hit them in the head.

    I mean I honestly can't blame them.

Sadako is such a unique killer that really doesn't play like anyone else, and nowadays people just want to pick something up and immediately do well with it.

Its why killers that take a long time to get good results with aren't played nearly as much, Billy, Twins, Hag are others that come to mind atm.

  • People really dont realize what her strength is huh? She is probably the most unique killer in the game atm and people are trying to turn her into the next Freddy.

That so called "gimmick" is what you want to focus on, not hooks. At least for the early game. Focus on one Survivor and keep track on how much condemnation they have. If you down them, dont go for the hook but instead slug. It wastes less of your time and wastes just as much time for Survivors.

Notice your target grab a tape? Find them as fast as you can if you some how lost track of them. They just gave themselves a stack of Condemned and you can stop them from inserting a tape by teleporting to the TV theyre trying to use, which gives another stack. STBFL also works very well at stopping them from inserting a tape while on cooldown.

If they try to take chase while theyre holding a tape, back up, create distance and wait at least 6 seconds until you start approaching. Then approach and moonwalk towards them and as long as you dont initiate a chase theyll keep passively gaining Condemned.

Once you get rid of your first Survivor you can either go for the other Survivors normally and simply use TV's for map traversal, or if other Survivors were trying to bodyblock for your first target you can simply turn them into your new target.

Am I saying shes S tier? No. Am I saying this strategy works 100% of the time? No. But what strategy does work 100% of time?

What I am saying is shes FAR from the weakest killer and nobody is taking the proper time to learn her.

It was never about difference of strength between perks being used. Corrupt is still gonna be used almost every game because it does something that no other perk does.

And yes, Ruin was gutted. Even against a survivor who hits great skill checks all the time (which was incredibly rare) ruin did its job by not giving the progression bonus normal great skillchecks do. This new Ruin is garbage by itself for the simple fact that it is gone before the midgame (where it is at its strongest). Old Undying used to make new Ruin decent, but it was gutted as well and now they nerf Ruin for the third time finally putting the nail in the coffin.

Oh I'm well aware that its still going to be used every game. But it now makes it weaker on killers that already have a good early game, and basically doesn't affect killers with a weaker early game.

And no, for the final time. Ruin was not gutted.

Do you know how much time hitting a great skillcheck saved? 0.025 seconds, and nowadays its 0.0125. It really was just a noob stomper perk which worked very well considering how garbage ranks were.

Old Undying paired with Ruin was just a nightmare for Solo Q and barely affected SWF considering they could just cleanse both totems at the same time and guarantee the Undying.

And oh no! A perk finally becoming inline with other perks after almost 6 years! What a tragedy!

  • @fulltonon said:

Honestly? scrap hexes altogether and rework everything, it's mostly only hurting newer players and pretty much useless against better players, maybe keep NOED but that's about it.

Idk about scrap hexes, but how about make a simple change?

Make all hexes have an activation requirement, similar to noed. The requirement doesnt need to be anything big.

Say for Ruin you need to kick 3 gens and then it would activate or Devour only becomes lit once you have 2 stacks.

This way Survivors cant spawn right next to your totem and get rid of it straight from the get go since your totem would activate on a random Dull once the requirement is met.

This could have the secondary effect of another objective since this encourages Survivors to cleanse Dull Totems more

  • Yes, I will continue to SWF

I mean I still want my BP while also having a good time with my buds, an update aint gonna change that

Not really, I still see Corrupt being essential on almost every build because Corrupt does something that no other gen slowdown does: Prevents gens from being done quickly at the start of the game. When the match starts, the killer is in his most weak position, where he has no survivor injured or hooked, so to get pressure on (find the survivors, chase them and down them) and make use of the best slowdown perks, it takes a while. Depending on how bad the map you got is and how good the survivors are this process may take a while, meaning that every other survivor is just happy doing gens which may lead you to an uncomfortable position where by the time you get the first hook, three gens might have already been done.

That is why an early game slowdown is essential. OG Ruin used to do that, but they gutted it and now there is only Corrupt. For that reason, Corrupt will probably still be used on every build because it is the only perk in the game that meets such a great demand.

As for Corrupt, Itll definitely be a strong perk still but at least now the difference in strength between a high tier killer using it and a lower tier killer isnt astronomical.

OG Ruin was simply a noob stomper, it was FAR from gutted. its objectively better now since no matter the skill of the Survivors, youre going to get use out of it.

They'll never get rid of flashlights cause they're too much fun for survivors, but with the awesome nerfs to Dead Hard and Iron Will coming up, the amount of toxic flashlight players is going to decrease substantially IMO

I explained it in my comment. Trickster has a special type of lullaby that is donut-shaped. His lullaby ends around the time his TR begins. If they are oblivious and are near the Trickster, they will not hear the lullaby melody or the TR.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J3RS56RAVL45/screenshot-20220714-103325-samsung-notes.jpg

Sorry for the bad picture, but it works something like this. As you can see, there is no lullaby in the hole of where the TR begins. Meaning survivors that are oblivious near the Trickster cannot hear his lullaby melody or his TR.

Edit: I just realized I drew the lullaby wrong (it is donut-shaped, but it overlaps with the terror radius at certain points)

No it isnt, that used to be the case when he was first released but it was unintended and quickly changed (used to be 32m - 24m)

The Lullaby now begins at 40m and can no longer be heard when within 8m, al though the closer to the middle you are to it the louder it gets. So only people who are really paying attention will hear it

  • @Remedicist said:

I tend to focus on giving survivors other objectives or passively defending gens. Trickster is great in the 1v1, so generating pressure from downs is also good. I do this by using:

    - Plaything

    - Deadlock

    - BBQ/Floods of Rage/Darkness Revealed

    - Iron Maiden

    - Caged Heart Shoes & any add-on you like

Plaything generates a secondary objective for the survivor. Most don't think about using it due to Trickster having a lullaby; However, his lullaby is special because it is donut-shaped. This means that his TR begins around the time his lullaby ends. For example, an oblivious survivor will hear your lullaby and then hear it go away with no heartbeat or TR sound at all. They do not know if you went far away or are really close because they can no longer hear the lullaby. This has been advantageous for me getting close before survivors run away or they will sometimes run into me. Even if they cleanse it, this is okay because they were doing another objective.

Deadlock passively blocks a gen for you to slow down the game while you focus on chases.

The third perk I use for information and tracking survivors.

Iron Maiden is used to not waste time reloading so much (Darkness Revealed pairs well with it).

The Caged Heart Shoes add-on helps a lot during chases as you can keep your knives up and not lose much distance. This is great for loops as well. The second add-on I use is either Killing Part Cords to enhance the movement effect while holding knives and help in chases or loops more when used with Caged Heart Shoes, Melodious Murder to give an almost instant reload when paired with Iron Maiden, or Edge of Revival Album to be cheeky with hitting survivors you normally cannot hit at loops and it helps with survivors that get in your face to make you miss knives so that you hit near their feet for half damage anyway.

Why Plaything? You do know Trickster has a 'Lullaby' right? Survivors can still hear that if theyre Oblivious
