I've seen old videos of that with old tinkerer
super fast hatchet huntress lol
Paired with her extremely clunky animations from back then and it was a nightmare lmao
-
I sometimes think about them, and while I will agree they were very atmospheric, they were dreadful to play with
The old fog you couldnt see anything further than 3ft away
The old moonlight offerings made you literally blind on certain maps
Old Tinkerer powering up charge times made things like insta saw Billy and machine gun Huntress possible, some killers had literally 0 use for the perk (Freddy for example)
The moonlight and old fog could make a return if they made they made it less of a pain for killers, maybe make everything a bit brighter for killers and make them see through fog

yeah lets just base everything on this graph here
Nurse needs 5 blinks by default and her recharge removed, for the shits n' giggles lets increase the range of her blinks by default. Eh screw it her fatigue will now always be 3 seconds.
Pinhead though? Pfff, just look at the graph! He's at the very top! Just remove his chains.
Piece of cake!

And the result of the games? Because if they aren't both 3-4k games, there is still no proof here. I'm not going to watch unless I know the outcome.
1st game was a 3 man out, was supposed to be a 2 man but they got lucky and hatch appeared right as they got downed. Nurse also wasn't the best considering she got her first kill at 3 gens and some how screwed up the rest (8 hook stages, 1/2/2/3)
2nd game was a 4k with 1 gen left

Not anymore, but the last I checked, even Nurse wasn't getting more than 2k consistently.
If you have a tournament with actually good survivors that are losing to Nurse consistently, feel free to show me.
Got this vod from a buddy of mine who is a comp player, he streams his tourneys.
Simply asked him for one that had a good bit of back and forth and I'm pretty sure there's 2 Nurse games in there. One where his team plays as and another against. Not sure about the other matches

Every other killer IS underpowered. Who besides Nurse and Blight do you see getting 2ks in tournaments?
bro do you even watch tournaments? Because you seem really out of touch
-
yeah pretty much
She's just a bit harder to learn than other killers. Then once you past that barrier then its pretty much a walk in the park

Classic cap man trying to start controversy for no reason

One thing everyone fails to realize is that after June/July there always looks like theres a reduction in players.
Some people come to see the new chapter and play for the anniversary event, and then leave.

I don't see her dominate a lobby every second game. I see her maybe once every ten or twenty games. My survivor MMR is probably much lower than my killer MMR. I see a lot of Huntress, Plague, Spirit, Pyramidhead, Hag. When I do see Nurse, it's still a coin toss whether we're all going to be dead in two minutes or whether she's going to spend all game accidentally teleporting into the basement while we run her around the shack.
I don't know how high my killer MMR is, but I know that people in endgame chat tell me things like "I almost never see Clown" and I'm starting to see survivors with 1-2k hours who can make plays that are incredibly difficult to get around as an M1 killer without playing dirty and/or running quadruple slowdown (so I play dirty and run quadruple slowdown), and I'm sure I'm not maxed out yet. I can see the appeal of Nurse.
If you're in such MMR, aren't you winning the 50% of your games that aren't against Nurse?
The only way they could really justify nerfing Nurse is if they buffed killers across the board again to make other killers competitive at very high MMR, which would give survivor mains an aneurysm.
I'm not arguing that Nurse is fair, but I think that people who have thousands of hours in the game are underestimating her difficulty. It doesn't seem to make sense nerfing her when survivors can rings around every other killer at high MMR, and you only see her every other game at high MMR.
Not sure how high my MMR is, but I see Nurse more often than any other killer nowadays.
Also no, killers have gotten enough buffs with this latest patch and it was done perfectly, killers that needed it like Trapper, Ghost Face, etc benefitted from it while killers like Blight and Nurse remained the same. It closed the gap between the top tiers and lower tiers tremendously.
And I have won games against other killers, lost some as well. Nurse on the otherhand? Could count on 1 hand the amount of times I got a 4 man out, and can count on both hands how many times I've reached end game.
Also, "making killers competitive at a very high MMR" was already the case prior to the patch. Its just killer actually takes time to learn and people don't like investing time into getting good at something nowadays. Its why every one always opts for the easy way out. So Nurse it is.
Also Nurse has every reason to get nerfed or even reworked. She's stayed at the top ever since her release and its time for change. No reason why a killer can remain leagues better than any other killer for years. Killers got enough buffs this patch, they're in a good spot (5k hours, 50/50 player)

I like your take on this.
I watched Otz' recent video on Nurse, and although I never play Nurse and am not a fan of going against her, I think he's absolutely wrong about the level of skill it requires to take to play her. He forgets that he's Otz, he plays the game for a living, and the fact that he can easily pick up and play Nurse doesn't do much to negate the fact that that she has a 40% kill rate, the lowest in the game, and most people clearly can't just pick her up and 4K every match after practicing for a day the way he thinks they can.
I only point this out because that video got me worried that his opinions might be taken into account in a possible Nurse nerf, since he is perhaps the biggest voice in DBD.
But he's wrong on this one. The fact that Nurse requires such a high amount of skill to play competitively is the best argument for keeping her.
When you get survivors who have played this game for 2,000+ hours, you get survivors who tie multiple different structures into one, long giant loop that wastes your time significantly.
I've started seeing survivors who can do this lately. Shack spawns next to a wall with a window, and you get to choose between getting one down or stopping four generators from popping in the background while you attempt to do so. As an M1 killer main, this isn't fun.
a hacker came into my stream and told me that my MMR was 1835
Dude, what? I wanna know what my MMR is. You can see it somehow?
He may play the game for a living, but Nurse is still WAY different compared to any other killer out there and basically plays her own game.
One thing that is probably the reason why her killrate is so low is the numerous amount of misconceptions about her, mainly about how you need to predict where a Survivor is going to be. When in reality you want to eliminate as many options as possible so you dont have to guess.
Her difficulty really is exaggerated, shes no where near as difficult as most people claim to be, if she was so difficult you wouldnt be seeing her dominate a lobby every second game

Sorry, that doesn't answer my question
My question is if Legion can insta down you with only 4 feral slashes, or if its a bug or something like that..
he indeed hit me 2 times and deadly stab me but, one of my teammates was already dead, which makes no sense
He could of gotten one more stab in and you just miscounted. Again if he stabs some one, they mended before FF ends, and he finds them and stabs them again that counts towards the deadly stab
Ive played tones of Legion and played against Legion a bunch and never saw him get a down with fewer stabs
-
Replace Thana with DH and the percentages with hit validation
-
It has always been getting worst, with every nerf Survivors get, it hurts Solo Q the most. Nothin new
-
He can stab the same Survivor twice if they mended before Feral Frenzy ended

Nemesis visibly slows down when using his power. That's all you need to see. I've played against three Nemesis players today and had no trouble with him.
Oh jeez youre right, because reacting to something thats .35 seconds long and has a curve to it is a piece of cake

2 completely different killers who's only similarities are having a teleport.

No chase music, but certain skins give Survivors unique lobby music, equip any of the AoT Survivor sets and you get this:

No. Legacy shouldn't come back. Not original Legacy, anyways. I believe that players should be able to buy a Legacy cosmetic in any color that isn't orange with 6 Devotion Levels in the shop. So if you're Devotion 18, you can get full Legacy for a single character. However, Orange WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. Original Legacy is special because it was exclusive.
wanna know what else was exclusive?
David's Untamned Donkey Jacket
Huntress' Hound Mask
Kate's Free Song Bird Shirt
Hillbilly's Pro-Pain Hammer
Yet those were given to everyone despite being exclusive to those who participated in those specific events and only being obtainable for 2 weeks.

I wouldn't have the Survivors actually speak, though. In the very least, the Killer shouldn't hear it. SWFs with comms don't give away their communication, SoloQ shouldn't either. Also, I don't know if the devs would be that thrilled for recording a bunch of voice lines. The rest is totally fine.
Also, when you said their native language, I thought you were going to say "And then then Survivor tbags/clicks a flashlight". Which you should have said. Because that's what it should be.
The voicelines part is simply to make it more immersive, its not required.
And I would still make it so killers could hear it but only if theyre really close, its not like SWF wouldnt use the ping system at all. Just look at Apex for example, even if youre in a premade youre gonna use it.

right now it's well over 200 million bps worth... soo shroompy I hope to God you're right cuz right now its been almost two weeks... and i've gotten nothing and I don't expect it.. i'm at the point where i'm just gunna flat out quit this broken game
I know people as well who've had WAY more progress lost than me, and they got compensated well over 100 mil.
Now this was back when your save file was saved locally, Im not sure how they handle it nowadays
-
They do actually look into it
Back in 2017 I had my progress reset (I was new at the time) and within a week they sent me over 15 million BP (Doesnt sound like much but all I had was a level 40 meg, claud, p1 lvl 3 Bill, and level 40 Hag.)
Youll either get some BP in compensation, or your progress back
-
or how about...
a chat wheel and ping system
want it to be immersive still? Have the Survivors speak in their native language. Say a Survivor pings a generator, some where on the screen it would say (Yui, repairing Generator 50%). And if youre close enough you would hear Yui say in Japanese: "Repairing Generator here!"
SWF would barely have a use for this, Solo Q on the other hand would benefit from it greatly

is so I can have a smiley face on my Wraiths big toe

Theyve states multiple times that Legacy is not returning
Which really doesnt make sense to me considering its being treated the exact same way code cosmetics were. There are a bunch of 3rd party sellers selling accounts with legit Legacy. And even then the majority of Legacy accounts you see nowadays are probably just save injects.
Theyve also given out the Event cosmetics to everyone (Howling Grounds and Scorching Summer BBQ) because there was a flaw in their system in the past which made it possible to lose these cosmetics (which was mentioned in this post). Some people have lost their legit Legacy and BHVR refuses to give it back.
Just give Legacy to every one BHVR, there is literally no reason to keep it behind a locked glass door when people have found multiple ways around it

yeah epic was just recently added.
there is also Windows store edition which has been there for a very long time (though I don’t know if they were able to get legacy) and Stadia users can also use end game chat.
keep in mind Steam, Epic and Stadia can also be connected via cross progression, which shares progress, purchases, cosmetics etc, so it is possible for a cross play player to have legacy cosmetics i think.
Windows Store was only added in late 2019.
Legacy was available until 24 November 2016

There are a lot of old things I miss.
-NOED that lasted forever, gave 9% move speed and was not a totem.
-Using Shadowborn on Wraith and the Brightest moonlight offering to make the game look like "daylight" without filters
-Pallets had a delay between dropping and stunning. They were a "skillshot" and had a much smaller hitbox for the stun. This meant that "pallet looping didn't exist" because it was super easy to swing through a pallet and trade a hit for a stun.
-Old Billy after flick nerf before any of the micro nerfs that followed.
-Hook timers before 15 seconds got added to two phases.
-Killer being game host so when you attacked someone vaulting you always hit them
-Old Dying Light that made gens 25% slower for killing the obsession (which you could do on their first down with a mori).
-Fog that blocked sight beyond ~20m
-Myers before he got nerfed where he could stalk multiple survivors at once to gain his power at a faster rate. I also miss that he used to get his power at a constant rate without distance as a consideration.
-Being able to see people's ranks in the lobby
-Playing DBD before SWF was implemented
-Do you remember that one week where thanatophobia lived up to its name and triggered from dead survivors as well as injured ones?
-Billy had like 10 different "exploits" where you could do crazy things. You could glitch through the suffocation pit infinite window to make the loop stop being an infinite. You could use your saw to "jump" on top of combines to shut down the loop instantly. Maps used to be designed where you could saw sprint around the map to do 4-5 loops on most of the maps without ever stopping.
-Almost all the old maps were designed better than what we have now.
I cant think of a single map (old variation) that was designed better than what we have now
Unless youre talking about aesthetics

People were asking for significant buffs, not a rework.
All he really needed was smoother flickers in transition, reduced transition time to 6 seconds, and increased power range. That's it. He would've been probably solid mid tier in the current state of the game especially since self care got deleted from the game.
Even with the changes you just suggested he would just be a worst Sadako.
And no people weren't asking for significant buffs, they were asking for a rework. What they weren't asking for how ever, was a rework that completely changed the way he was played and his identity.

Again?
It never left for killers, it aint nearly as bad tho

so like, say youre on deathhook and youre on the ground what exactly is the difference between a killer just picking you up and hooking you???
Youve never even explained why you think theyre oppressive, you just said youve seen them more recently. So what exactly is the issue with them?
Hell even your pfp is Pyramid Head, who has an ebony mori built into his basekit. He even that but its the fastest kill animation in the game but I dont think anyones complaining about that

I call BS.
There is no way you're getting more than 1 mori against decent survivors before they finish the gens without specific addons, primarily ring drawing.
my strat isnt exactly whats shown in the video, but its very similar.
Its choosing a target and keeping track of their condemned, I build it up as fast as I can while also trying to slow the game down as much as I can. After killing the target which usually leaves 1 or 2 gens remaining, the game becomes a 3v1. Usually people try to protect the target, thus making it where they either A: Gain a good chunk of condemned themselves, and go through with taking and inserting a tape which slows down the game. Or B: Ignore the condemnation, making them my new target. If a new target is not chosen, I play the game normally and actually start going for hooks. Its not uncommon for TV's to spawn close to hooks either, so I never completely disregard how much condemnation a Survivor could possibly have, and if I see them running towards a line up of TV's, I'll try to go for it.

well im sorry my friend but youre doing something wrong
