Myers has had enough pallets dropped on his head, he's tired of it
-
Ive never even heard of this, nor have I experienced it
What killer was it against? And do you remember what other perks were in play?
-
@Silasy said:
They reduced his collisions with survivors and increased with anything else other than survivors. Op killer lmao
when?
-
I could see it work maybe as a perk similar to Spirit Fury. It has a condition to activate, once that condition is met instead of vaulting a window, you break it down.
-
The perk is meant to make you disappear from the killer, staying in a very dense area with a lot of LoS blockers is ideal. It pairs well with anything that gets you heal quickly like Inner Strength or a good medkit.

Id like if they added proximity chat with the option to turn it off/mute specific people. Most games with comms have this and honestly I think itd be great as some one who usually likes to screw around. In fact screwing around in a solo q game is how I met one of my main friend groups that Ive been talking to for about 2 years now.
Now what I think would be even better is if it was proximity chat. At the moment I can only dream of uncloaking behind an unsuspecting Survivor and play the Bad to the Bone riff...

Always have been.

So then can you explain what happened here?
https://clips.twitch.tv/InquisitiveSincereFinchPogChamp-Gut-xxckE8uhgbAw
Before someone says something stupid like "This is comp so it doesn't count", yes, comp overall is drastically different from regular DBD, but many aspects of chase can still be learned from because it still works the same way. This would have worked regardless of comp or not.
What happened there is the Nurse heard the firecracker and didn't commit to turning the corner right away because she didnt want to get burned since she was already charging up their blink
Also that swing was just straight up a mistake. Which yeah, people make mistakes some times that might cost them a hit, but this doesn't represent what happens the majority of the time. Its like me taking a 100 shits, eventually one of them is gonna come out and not stink as much as the others
-
@SuzuKR said:

Uh, just to make this very clear. Even the best Nurse players in the entire world get mindgamed in the open and in areas with no or very negligible LOS breakers. Landing and avoiding blinks is both about prediction and out-reading the other player, regardless of the area.
I don't even consider myself a good Nurse player but there isn't a single Survivor out there that can mindgame me out in the open unless I'm playing for shits and giggles and try going for 360 blinks or some ######### like that. Yes Nurse is about predictions and reads but thats only when you add LoS breakers into the mix.
Now maybe if theres a considerable amount of distance between the 2, then yeah theres a read involved. But if you can make up most the distance with just 1 blink (which is 20m, not hard to pull of) , and a Survivor has literally nothing, then they're screwed. Plain and simple

So can you explain why good survivors manage to mindgame her in open area/against aura reading perks just fine against equally good Nurses?
what good Nurse is falling for "mindgames" in an open area? You can literally react to the Survivors movements

@SuzuKR said:

Old Dead Hard was literally uncounterable to most M1 killers when used for distance.
Nurse is well designed and balanced.
Nurse is literally uncounterable on any open map or ones with low LoS blockers, she also ignores all main defenses a Survivor has. On top of that she gets around the map pretty well because she can ignore what every other killer would normally have to walk around.
So tell me, what's so "well designed" about her?
Not ignoring Dead Hard btw, it wasn't well designed either and was more frustrating to deal with than unbalanced.

Okay? So what? Fun is subjective, and there will never ever be a versus where all players on all sides are having fun always. So it's irrelevant. You can't even objectively make something "more fun" because the standard itself is a whim of whoever you ask. So only balance is relevant. You even acknowledge the basekit is balanced. Range/3 blink need to get hard reworked to completely different effects.
So then what was the Dead Hard rework? If fun is subjective it should of never of gotten touched right? Not every one had an issue with it and they were VERY clearly in the minority. Same can be said with Nurse.
And while you're right that you can't make something more fun because its different depending on who you ask, you can make something well designed and overall more healthy for the game. Which is exactly what the Dead Hard rework achieved, and is what needs to happen to Nurse

Nurse is completely balanced outside of range/3 blink.
Both modes are literally garbage.

you from the future?

@SuzuKR said:

Literally useless garbage in phase 1. Complete non-threat that survivors can literally just ignore.
Does all that for 2 blink+chain blink which is still just as completely avoidable via mindgaming as it already is now. Then becomes utterly useless garbage again.
4.4 is utterly useless without a power. 4.6 without a power is awful on literally any decent tile let alone 4.4. Even with the power, it’s god-awful for literally everything except just chasing a survivor to a point blank window/pallet and then blinking over, which just makes it a worse ranged killer.
This is a terrible idea in literally every single way.
Their 2 separate modes, but its not necessarily like Oni. Think of it more like old Doc where he could switch between the two easily. What I was going for wasn't explained too well and I plan on making an entire post on its own to go more into detail and iron out some things.
Also, yes, this would make her weaker. Believe it or not thats the point. There is no reason why a killer with such a strong power has basically no drawbacks. Nurse is unhealthy for the game, period.
-
@SuzuKR said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3152855#Comment_3152855
This would make her literally garbage.
Explain
-
Give her 2 modes
Her first mode, she gains charges (1 charges/s) passively and can't blink. Instead, holding down the power button allows her to steal Survivors breath. Doing so will grant her 2 charges/s in addition to the 1 charge she already gains passively.
After having at least 20 charges, she can go into her second mode. Which replaces the ability to steal survivors breath with Blinks, and she no longer gains charges passively. (There would be an audio cue for when she switches, and a small animation. Not as long as Oni's transformation, but something similar) leaving this mode manually causes her to go into a 3 second fatigue). The reason why she needs to gain charges is because 1 charge = 1 meter for her blinks. This means if she has a max of 64 charges, she can do a fully charged blink and a fully charged chain blink, twice.
This would definitely be too much if they just slapped it on there with nothing else so to compensate:
-Shes made into a 4.4m/s (110%) killer
-Blinks recharging as we know it today, is no longer a thing
Of course some of these numbers could be tweaked a little, but this is just to get a general idea
This fixes a number of issues, firstly if a Survivor properly outplays The Nurse, she gets punished for it accordingly. She cant just blink all willy-nilly and has to be conservative with her blinks. Secondly, making her into a 4.4m/s killer still allows her to catch up to Survivors, especially now that she needs to recharge her blinks manually. Lastly, it removes the feeling of clunkiness that recharging Blinks currently gives. Since after shes done her fatigue she can Blink again immediately, at the risk of maybe loosing line of sight on a Survivor and wasting her charges.

cool story bro

Honestly I dont know about that..
Artist being a threat no matter where she is on the map makes for a pretty good contender

I already play it, but queues are too long due to lack of players. U wont really get many games during the week
exactly
you need to get a group of friends to play it, pretty much the only way
-
yeah youre right the killer is deciding to chase the same survivor again
and there's a term for that, tunneling
-
I miss being new and having this feeling of being on edge
Everything else? Can stay in the past for the most part

there are already groups out there who run servers with older versions, most popular is most likely version 1.9.3
It gets boring after the first hour or 2

I mean when youre egotistical as hell, yeah people are going to make fun of you. I used to watch him, in fact he was my main DbD content creator back when I first started. And he always tries to paint this picture that the world is against him no matter the situation, no matter the game.
I dont know if this is still the case but he always states he likes to "start a discussion". But if you dare be on the opposing side of said discussion he just belittles you and goes on how hes more experienced and that you have no idea what youre talking about. Ive seen this happen not only live on stream but experienced it first hand in YouTube comments a couple years back, and I know Im not the only one.
Again, no idea how he is nowadays since I could care less and his content just doesnt interest me anymore, but it wouldnt surprise me if he still behaves the same way
-
Sure, make it so killers actually can reliably go for mixed hooks and get 3 stages on everyone.
At the cost of making tunneling against the rules! Shouldnt be a problem since you dont need to do so anymore
-
but then your q times would be WAY longer
-
A situational meme build on any killer
an absolute monster on Nurse

I mean it was bad before the recent nerf, how do you use it incorrectly? You mean like trying to self care when people can heal you? That's just silly.
Self care is without question a killer perk. Any perk that lets you see other survivors to heal you is 10 times better than running self care.
You use it to finish off a heal or to heal during endgame. Using it this way makes it way easier to pull off endgame saves. 2 things that happen pretty often in every game and youll have multiple uses for it
But I mean the DbD community see's perks/characters this way: If its not bordering overpowered, its garbage.

Just about the entire community thinks DS is garbage right now.
Just like how the entire community thought Self Care was garbage and thats just because 99% of people were using it incorrectly.
Even nowadays its still a pretty decent perk, its just people cant help themselves to heal every chance they get.

Should 5s agains't slower killers and 10s agains't fastet killers? Or disable their powers but 5s was fine. It punished tunneling which is arguably most unfun playstyle apart from facecamping.
Tunneling is unfun yes, and the only way to fix that is to make major changes to the base game
Doesnt matter how long you make the DS stun, tunneling will always be a thing
-

LOL, imagine thinking 5 more seconds of a useless mechanic makes it not useless.
If youre lasting as long as a juicy fruit against every killer after a DS stun, thats a skill issue.
Nurse or Blight I understand, maybe even Spirit. But anyone else? Nah

lol go for unhooker and it's a dead perk, it's 60 seconds after unhook and it desactivates if you breathe, that nerf was the worst by far it's pathetic at 3 seconds, tunneling is meta because of it
"Tunneling is meta because of it"
Always was

@Biscuits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3150143#Comment_3150143
Okay but, we live in a world where they refuse to tune perks on a killer by killer basis. So you either make the perk work against all killers or against none, and they choose non, shocker.
I mean with the new changes coming to being unhooked, you have absolutely no excuse to be in a dead zone. 44m of distance from the hook is PLENTY. Thats not even counting the extra little bit of distance youll get from DS
The perk is fine
-
@Biscuits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3149994#Comment_3149994
It is suppose to hurt killers for tunneling. If the perk doesn't hurt the killer than what was the point of running it. Even before the change I got value out of DS only 10% of the time. The idea that you had DS was more powerful than the perk itself. We have gotten to a point where DS is so irrelevant people tunnel because they know you have nothing.
Yeah Im aware its supposed to hurt killers. But it should hurt all killers equally, which it does currently.
Before you would take the stun as Nurse, Blight or any other killer who can deal with distance easily and be on top of a Survivor immediately, cant really say the same for Trapper or Pig which really dont need anything else going against them
-
@Dead_Harder said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3149994#Comment_3149994
Dude at least at 5 seconds you could lose sight of the survivor.
If i eat a ds with nurse now its not even an inconvenience
the only time DS was an inconvenience to Nurse, was on an indoor map
-
because it just hurt the killers who didnt need to be hurt by it the most like Trapper, Pig, etc. While barely having an effect on high mobility killers like Nurse or Blight.
I think it should go to 4 seconds for a nice middle ground
-
This would just make him weaker from the looks of it, not being able to down with his knives would be really bad. Sure the buff to 4.6m/s is nice but it does not warrant him no longer being able to down with his power
The change to pause Main Event is... interesting, but making it go down 2 seconds faster when reactivating it doesn't really seem too good since you would only really be able to pause it once, and barely get any use out of it once you reactivate it
I wrote a Trickster rework myself a few months ago, fixes most of his issues and actually makes him stand out a bit more compared to the other ranged killers. Most importantly tho it keeps his identity and for the most part you can still play him the same way. If you're interested: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302442/my-attempt-at-a-trickster-rework#latest

They're talking about this.
We’ve also polished the way Virulent Bound interacts with pallets & windows. During the PTB, Survivors would not take damage if The Mastermind bounded towards them as they were vaulting. This was not intentional: The Mastermind will now hit them with his tentacles if they’re caught in the middle of a vault. Additionally, Survivors could wait on the other side of a pallet, vaulting back over it before The Mastermind could attack after vaulting. Going forward, standing too close to a vault location as The Mastermind bounds over it will result in the Survivor being injured.
On topic it's hard to say until we actually see it to know the distance.
Ah so I did miss a part
Thanks
-
Unless I missed a part he doesnt damage you if he vaults, he damages you if youre vaulting and he dashes on you
On PTB you could vault a window or pallet and it would just stop his dash and leave the Survivor unharmed, wouldnt even infect them
-
yeah no
basekit BT is fine

Absolutely atrocious
They didnt buff Wesker at all, and he is "bound" to be a plaything for survivors who have more than 2 braincells that aren't competing in a deathmatch.
I cant believe they didn't give him 3 charges, lower the charge time, and change his crap addons. Idk if he will sell well, he is fun, but he really wasn't strong at all. They screwed this up badly.
I know right? Terrible how they didn't buff Wesker... I mean really a shame because he had so much potential...
