Remember when they nerfed Undying but put in op Boon Totems?

Clearly this shows that killers are overpowered.. /s
-
Making different values for every killer would just confuse newer players more than they already are
Nemesis should get things to be more true to his character
Also the average person has a reaction time of 250ms, thats true. How ever they wont be able to react consistently with something that is just 150ms longer. That is a VERY short amount of time and when latency, input delay, and hitboxes are all taken into account, the majority of players wont be able to react to him

So them quick swapping some how deletes all walls on the map?

What is being shown here? You can still see over on native compared to stretch. Ghost faces reveal mechanic anyway should be: If your head has los with the ghost face then you can reveal him.
You can see with native res yes, but the difference in how much you can see is a major difference, I'm sure even you can see that.
-
I dont mind the map that much, the visuals are always a treat.
I also have a good idea of where everything is since Ive played the RE2 remake quite recently
-
The only things that seems unintended with Billy atm is his camera going all over the place and his weird animations after finishing a sprint, his lunge animation seems wonky as well
Some small obstructions like branches on MacMillan or vines on Yamoaka can be bumped into, but that seems more like an issue with the map than Billy.

Terrible. I die a lot in solo on first hook simpley because survivors just refused to save.
A lot of people like to bring up "solutions" to something that isn't a problem.
It terms of balance its not a problem
In terms of fun it is a problem, nobody wants to sit on a hook for 2 minutes while a killer is breathing down their neck.

Fun fact: I rarely 4k because I tend to just let folks escape. I just like to run around as Myers. Never have played for kills. Never hit red ranks either. Never played DbD as a main game anyway. It's asymmetrical. I go elsewhere for my serious PvP, not in some off-sided PvP game.
Any other uneducated claims you want to try to make about how I play?
Wasnt talking about you specifically, realized I had poor wording there. But still my point stands, game is a lot more balanced than people make it out to be

To this day there isn't a single object you can't see over with stretched that you can't see over with native. So unless you describe it a little better you might want to rethink what you said.

Then you should have led with: At least it is better than before. Not, now that they balanced the game.
They did not balance the game, and have a hell of a long way to go for a balanced game. It being a better turd than before is still a turd, but it isn't balanced by any stretch of the human imagination.
Games a lot more balanced than people make it out to be, just because you didnt 4k 200 times in a row doesnt mean the game is unbalanced

Relatively speaking, maybe. But that's just relatively speaking. The game, in reality, is nowhere near being eSports ready.

Leave it to someone who doesnt understand the limitations of killer to suggest that if youre losing its because youre not doing M1 play well enough. Its actually laughable that you think relying on the top tier of survivors to make simple mistakes in loops is a good way to win, let alone get more than one hook in a match. youve obviously never played a game against good survivors.
A game as Trickster where I made a TONE of mistakes(Missed WAY too many easy shots, over comitted, didnt pay too much attention to gens when I should of), and then took advantage of mistakes they made in the endgame.
This was a 4 man SWF though they werent on comms, they were all pretty good (Battleguy is a pretty good player, one of the OG Billy mains)
No matter the situation, there is always an opportunity. And a skill you develop with time is looking for and identifying those opportunities

Yeah, you were talking about wasting a perk slot. So why do that when instead you can just apply basic knowledge and baits?

Because the player base is decreasing
tell that to steam charts
-
The only changes that needs to be done with Boon perks is reduce the range a bit.
Both perks are strong, they take time to bring into the game and they can easily be dealt with.
-
######### no, would just bring back hatch stand offs if they have a key, and we dont need another reason to hate keys
-
PTB only has an active playerbase for the first 2 - 3 days. And becomes pretty dead for the rest of the time

yeah, waste some slost for those non-meta perks and see how gens start flying in minutes.
K, a wall isnt a perk tho, neither is having basic knowledge and knowing how to bait a save
-
I agree, but also allow survivors to see the killers ping
-
I actually love boon totems, very interesting gameplay they bring.
That being said, Circle of Healing is a tad bit too strong and I dont think the range is the only issue, its the infinity heals it provides. I think that they either need to introduce stacks to boon perks, so you cant infinitely bless a totem, or put a timer on it.

Bunch of newer players who dont know any better

Dude, you realize that it doesnt matter right? they can afford to bully because they can do 3 gens in one chase and theres nothing you can do about it. almost all killers cant compete at high level and thats assuming youre playing perfectly. They could literally go on one bigh chase predropping every pallet and w'ing as soon as they get in your terror radius and youd lose with one or two hooks. I literally had a game as nemi today where it took 20 seconds to find survivors and first chase was about a minute and 3 gens popped. The survivors spent the next 10 minutes bullying and would just hold w to strong setups. its the worst experience you can have in a game.
Your standard way of looping doesnt work against good survivors, thats why you adapt and play around their playstyle while playing as safe as possible. Use their confidence to your advantage
As said, there are very few scenarios where from the beginning you have no chance, and its up to you if you want to believe that.

You can doubt all you want but your only reliable source to that is me, sorry bud. And you can def split off and pressure gens while in chase its called breaking off. Corrupt, ruin and undying. 3 gen perks the undying counts because without it ruin lasts maybe 1 min at best in my matches. also ive gotten 1 kill the last 3 games and still nearly gotten a pip each time because I dont like tunneling because survs cry so hard about it
I'm aware what breaking off is, I just highly doubt you're doing it as effective as you think, getting even a 2k isn't that hard since thats what MMR is for, and even then the majority of my games I get 3 kills or more. Been playing for 4 years now, about 3 years of killer experience, play all killers and the most gen regression I'm gonna run is Corrupt and Pop. Of course its all dependent on what killer I'm playing at the time.
But never have I felt like a game is completely out of my control. If you keep blaming the game you're creating a barrier and you'll never improve. Think back on matches you've played and lost and try to figure out what you could've done better. Because there are very few, and I mean VERY few games where you actually have no chance. I'm talking going against a full on comp team where all their hours combined are over 20k and you just so happened to play your first game as Trapper.

My chases last less than 40 seconds each and with nurses mobility I pressure almost half the map at any given time. You have 0 right to say I am the one doing bad here when you havent experienced what I have, thats just stubborn closed mindedness. Also those games even with even less time in chases all 5 gens end up being done and I get maybe one kill
I highly doubt your chases last 40 seconds and you're pressuring gens at the same time, as Nurse, with 3 slowdown. And every one has bad games bud, you ain't gonna 4k every game.

1st off, I have played both sides to rank 1 and currently play a higher mmr nurse atm, i dont think, I KNOW genspeeds are bs enough to warrant at least 3 gen perks. The problem isnt flashlights youre right its the one sidedness of this game towards survivors. Killers cant keep up nowadays and its showing but no, spirit and deathslinger def need that nerf????
Thats not the game being one sided, ESPECIALLY if you're having trouble as Nurse with 3 slow down perks... also you can't tell if you're high MMR, the moment you've reached your skill level the game balances towards a 2 kills, 2 escapes. So technically every one feels like they're high MMR.
The issue isn't the game, the issue is your lack of pressuring gens properly.

The problem is that these squads are really, really good at swapping at just the last second before the match starts.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2538094#Comment_2538094
I very, very rarely AFK. The only time I'll do this is when I'm up against an obvious smurf stompcomp, a cheater/exploiter or a group legitimately just trying to grief.
It really isn't a big deal to go say hi to the wife, get a bit of exercise or watch an episode of One Piece and let them get frustrated trying to provoke a reaction. Occasionally the endgame chat is spectacular.
I mean if I see a lobby full of flashlights I'm actually happy... since they are usually the easiest groups to deal with
They don't do gens, they just go for saves, which makes it VERY easy to snowball.
-
@Legionair said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2538238#Comment_2538238
if you bring a perk to counter JUST flashlights you lose the ability to bring perks to aid in taking down survs faster than gens get done which is near impossible even with ruin undying
Then don't bring the perk? Just learn to look at a wall? or bait the FL save? If you think the game is so unbalanced that you NEED to bring 3 or 4 gen slowdowns every game, the problem aint flashlights
-
@Legionair said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2538001#Comment_2538001
would be great if we didnt have to have at least 3 gen perks to stop the unbalanced and mathematically impossible for killer to stop gens but then use the 4th slot for just that? we cant afford it
You don't need 3 gen slow down perks unless you're playing in a tourney, which apparently every one on this forum is other than me.
So, in this situation they're left with 2 choices. Bring a perk to deal with it, or learn how to counter it.

Don't come in here just to whitewash someone's good point. You just look like you don't play the game, and are only adding to the toxic entitled mentality the community already has enough of.
If they're hungry for the FL save, bait it, angle yourself in awkward positions. Its your fault if you get flashlight saved more than once in a game, you're just letting it happen at that point. And me simply giving my opinion and saying that you can do something about it ain't toxic, its your choice if you want to know how to deal with it or continue falling for things that are VERY easy to deal with
