You know how there's companies out there that let you buy a star? It's like that.
NFTs are essentially a unique string of numbers that gives you "ownership" over a digital file. They are horrible for the environment because they use a ######### ton of power and resources. Also, the places hosting your NFT could be wiped, destroyed, or taken down at any time in the future since they are digital.
To even purchase an NFT, you also have to convert your money into an unstable, easily manipulated cryptocurrency- ethereum.
Oh wow that is bad,
Thank you for the explanation

Basically it's a way to "own" exclusive rights over Digital Content.
And since it's in DBD, a live service, they will basically allow scarcity.

It's a type of cryptocurrency.
So essentially - From my understanding - You pay with a cryptocurrency for a chance to be one of 10,000 people who get the voice lines or Butterball. Just saying a chance because I'm noting the use of the word "NFT DROP EVENTS".
So does that mean Pinhead has a much higher chance to be in the same boat as ST and BHVR got the license regardless?
-
I don't know if its the lack of sleep or if this is genuinely confusing. Because even after reading the article and searching up tf an NFT is, I still have no idea what it is.
Can some one dumb it down please? :(
also why is it bad?

So then, you’re better than every tournament Nurse and streamer that uses her…..I don’t buy it. No doubt you could dominate before MMR since the vast majority of survivors are bad. You would have a much different opinion if you player her at high MMR now.
I mean I don't mind recording a match or 2 if you're really doubting me that much.

That’s just straight up not true. Nurse and the survivor both have to guess. Unless you are a robot or the survivor is extremely predictable, it is not possible to hit every blink.
I don't even play Nurse that often, played her a bunch when I got my new PC 2 years ago, as I was in the process of prestiging her, she got her rework. But for a solid few weeks I was on a Nurse spree, I wen't against a good mix of survivors during that time. And the large majority of blinks I got a hit.
Nowadays, I'll miss maybe 2 or 3 blinks where my intent was to get a hit and not just close distance.

I mean yea, the time I put into her has taught me everything about her. You can play for 10,000 hours with survivor/ other killers and that won’t make you understand her.
Who said anything about understanding? You claimed at first that I was inexperienced.
And from my experience I've learned that if you know what you're doing, there is VERY little a survivor can do.
-
whats the point of getting points if I'm just gonna waste them on more Speed Limiters?
Do you have any idea how many of those I have?

"this game takes a lot more skill than people realize"
It really doesnt. This isn't a very in depth game. Outside of Nurse and Blight, there is barely any mechanics required to learn as most killers besides hold W and left click survivors. There are situational killers like Trapper and Hag who need better game knowledge and go up in power as the player goes up in overall time played. But from a survivor standpoint there REALLY isn't much skill needed. Hold W. Look behind you for killer trying to mindgame, run the tile. It's really that simple. Outside of Nurse there isn't anything unintuitive about this game. Which is part of its charm. A lot of it IS, "pick up and go."
Something can be easy to pick up, but very difficult to master. And thats the situation with DbD. Theres a large majority of survivors who know what theyre doing when given the right tools, but the skill in this game is adapting and being able to work with anything youre provided with.
On the killer side of things, a lot of it is identifying opportunities that can turn a game around, and thats not something you pick up quickly.
Point is, theres a large difference between a good and master player

How about it just uninstalls the Killer's game and removes one random DLC from their account while at it.
not good enough, they can still buy the DLC again
I think it should just brick their system

Ok just put pgtw in all of those build its easy like that.
On another note i dont think leatherface can run iron will.
gotta be quiet in the basement or else the sneaky survivors will hear you

That's reaching, maybe against mediocre survivors in an open map. Play against some squads on xanax (especially in an indoor map). not the easiest at all, and also pallets can still be used against her for sure
I've talked about if survivors have multiple LoS blockers in a row then it can get tough for Nurse, and indoor maps it becomes pretty difficult to play her as its hard to judge if your blink will be short and you have to guess a lot.
On realms that have generic tiles tho like L-T walls, jungle gyms, etc. It becomes a lot easier for her since she can easily play around those tiles

In my experience, thats typical of survivors that don't know how to run.
what other options do they have when they get unlucky? Cant see how them going down to a killer that moves much faster than them, ignores all defenses and goes through walls is their fault.

It's 14 per Totem. But there are 5 Totems and one is probably Hexed so 14 x 4 = 48 + 24 = 72
Oh I thought blessing took 16 seconds, still not that big of a difference and having to get 4 Totems up will still take A LOT of time

@GrayEyes said:

that's assuming they blew 2 hexs they probably wont change the timer for dull totems so it wont take that long. and your teammate could just always run it themselves so you could get 200% quickly and efficiently

also 24+24=48 idk where your getting 64 from
Devs stated this stream that they no longer stack
And I was replying to some one saying that 4 boon totems can still cover the majority of the map, which takes 16 seconds per totem. 16 x 4 = 64

its 100% healing speed + self care, permanent, can place again if destroyed
4 survivors using it and u cover the whole map = hex perk range
Yeah, thats a total of 64 seconds that survivors need to dedicate just to activate a perk that a killer can get rid of in 2 seconds
Thats almost as long as a gen

Imo. She is the hardest killer to learn, but dbd has a pretty low skill floor in general.
I kind of disagree with that, Id agree with you a few years ago but now that we have lots more killers to learn, a much wider map pool which all of them have unique tiles that you have to learn how to run/deal with effectively, mindgames, bunch of stuff to memorize, this game takes a lot more skill than people realize

Maybe true a few years ago. The penalty for a bad read is far more than then.
I mean not really, if a survivor goes behind cover you dont blink through it, blink next to it. Worst case scenario they got lucky will spawns and theres another wall very close by and they can get behind that before you finished your blink and you cant see where they are, which you just dont use your 2nd blink. Fatigue takes 2 seconds and then you wait an extra second for it to recharge.
Thats survivor gains 4 more meters of distance compared to pre nerf

Pretty much any killer when mastered becomes the easiest killer, and all of them suffer against well coordinated survivors (nurse is not an exception).
Not necessarily, a good Nurse isnt gonna have to try nearly as hard as a good Billy for example.
-
@Mr_K said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2549149#Comment_2549149
As hard as I try and as long as I've played. I still can't see through walls.
I don't know how they do it. 😩
Must be those killers who get blinded while "staring directly at a wall".
In all seriousness, a LoS blocker will only get you so far, making it a partial read on The Nurse but really its still heavily in her favor
-
Nurse is anything but a "meh" killer, she is the most lethal killer in the game and that has been true since her release back in 2016.
Theres also a common misconception that Nurse is the hardest killer to play which just simply isnt the case, shes the hardest killer to learn. Once you get the hang of her she becomes the easiest killer since she ignores pretty much anything a survivor can throw at her.
-
It does make him harder to detect since his Lullaby is at a half way point of distance, instead of being close. Which actually makes perks like Monitor still some what useful on him since you can't tell if he's coming closer, or if he's leaving the area.
-
A killer that can bond survivors together, say if one survivor becomes injured, the other one does as well.

Oh that's awful. So it's total RNG?
Yeah pretty much, al though I wouldn't rely on that specifically. His slow down is actually pretty potent while both parties are at a loop. an over 40% slowdown is nothing to scoff at
-
Depends where the chains spawn, if they spawn in a way that makes the survivor face away from the pallet or window they cant vault/throw it down
-
Imo Blight, since he's probably the character we have the most information on, and we get to see step by step how The Entity slowly corrupts him
-
money
-
Ive been wanting a perk that extends stun time for a while, simple and effective while not being overwhelming, and its not like a killer cant play around it
-
If anything you should be thankful for that, it means the rest of the map is pretty much empty because a map has a minimum requirement of pallets. The tiles generated didnt have enough so it created a double pallet
-
I simply play something else
-
Its not like any platform can get it atm, you have to go to shady places to obtain the mask nowadays
-
Hillbilly
Heavy Clutch (Rework)
A well-made clutch that keeps the chain moving smoothly
When starting a Chainsaw Sprint, you have no collision with the environment for 0.75 seconds.

He's not holding the game hostage, as there's nothing he's doing thats preventing from the game to end.
So no, he wont be banned

The last part is the only thing that would push players towards a ranked mode over casual. No one is wanting to sweat their balls off consistently in ranked if they can get a mixed bag in casual mode, UNLESS there is an incentive like double bloodpoints.
You would think that, yet every game out there that has a ranked mode, people play it.
Of course those ranked modes have incentives, which double bp would be nice but there would most likely have to be something more
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544781#Comment_2544781
It wouldn’t “suffer” but it would be pointless and not solve the issues this game has.
It actually would solve A LOT of issues, for those who want to play casually it would solve queue times a reduction in sweatier players since they are likely to gravitate towards ranked, and benefits for competitive players is they get a more balanced game since the devs could look at more accurate data, how ever they can't just add a ranked mode with no incentive other than climbing the ranks. Just adding a charm or a cosmetic for reaching the highest rank would probably be enough of an incentive, maybe even more BP.
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544759#Comment_2544759
Yeah, so ranked vs unranked would be pointless.
No it wouldnt, because people who feel like playing the game at a more competitive level can, there is literally no downside to adding a dedicated ranked mode. There is not a single game out there, no matter the genre, that suffered from having a ranked mode
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544743#Comment_2544743
So the same game, but two different queues…
That just means sweaty killers and survivors will go into the unranked mode and stomp on those looking for more “chill” games.
So... like theyre forced to do now?

What would the difference be between the 2? Typically “unranked” modes mean you don’t earn any experience (bloodpoints) or you are restricted from certain things (perks). I doubt many will go for the unranked mode if there’s little incentive other than the promise of it being potentially less sweaty.
Unranked would use grades or no means of matchmaking, meaning faster queue times. And ranked would use MMR. Queue times might be longer but those who want to play this game competitively will go against others with the same mindset.
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544643#Comment_2544643
But but that'll increase queue times
At this point who cares as a casual player I would much rather have seperate playlists
Im convinced its not a lack of players on one side but a bug thats causing longer queue times, since I remember when I first started playing (Right before their 1st anniversary) up until the Hallowed Blight, queue times were instant for both sides.

Jus' sayin'.
He was too fast, now he's too slow.
And, I think new players learn fast. Coddling them as long as possible shouldn't be a priority over providing more dynamic gameplay and balancing situations.
Youre right, it shouldnt. But creating new values for no reason other than "why not lol" aint a good idea either
-
@Rey_512 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544412#Comment_2544412
Then they should get rid of SBMM. If it’s a casual game, the matchmaking should be random.
Thing is with that, normal matchmaking had issues
Another issue is a lack of separation of casual players and competitive players, we need a ranked mode
