Um I don't see why either one of them needs to be touched at all. Nurse is still the strongest killer in the game and aside from a lot of bugfixes she does not need to be changed at all. Doctor's power is only as big as his TR 32 meters and you can deny the static blast by hiding in a locker or using calm spirit. This power is how he finds survivors and applies pressure, without the shocks staying on survivors he would have very little pressure. He also needs to wait to use the static blast as it does have a cooldown, And when you have 3 stacks when you snap out of it and don't fail the skill checks you don't scream. Also Freddy is much easier to play than doctor you actually need to time the shocks instead of just spamming snares at every loop, and freddy can cross map teleport by just "holding a button for a tiny amount of time" where as doctor's static blast only tells him where survivors are and applies 1 level of madness.

He is definitely stronger now although people who mastered the old bubba w/ pwyf and nemesis might have a hard time adjusting to the new bubba.
-
I mean the hillbilly change isn't actually that bad with the adjustments that the devs made. Although the aura change is awful and I can barely see them at all, it makes bbq a really trash perk with survivor auras being basically invisible.
-
When they add more complicated and protruding pieces to the cosmetics they need to consider what it will be mixed and matched with so there will be no clipping. When they make a cosmetic set linked they do not need to worry about other sets and clipping when they can form the whole outfit to work perfectly with itself rather than with other cosmetics.
-
@LowSpecGamersMatter said:
I really reaaaallly dislike how devs are pushing linked cosmetics more and more. I thought it was just a thing for silent hill and to avoid licence issues. But why Nea? Why now clown aswell?
Like, i get why nea's hoodie needs to be linked to the head piece. But the headpiece itself shouldnt. And the pants neither.
Now clown. Like, at least delink his weapon. There is no excuse to link his weapon to the entire rest.
I mean if this set was not linked it would have to be less creative so that it could be mixed and matched.

His turning is completely unchanged from what it was before the update. If you're noticing a difference, please create a bug report.
I thought you made the initial curve have a delay. Could you inform me if that is correct or not?
-
Yeah this is awful the new changes make auras (especially ones from bbq) extremely difficult to see. What were the devs thinking, and if it wasn't bad enough now we most likely will need to wait for the next killer for it to be changed if that even happens at all.
@Peanits @Almo Can y'all or any dev for that matter please say something about this, staying silent about issues just hurts the community more.
-
Yeah the chase theme is pretty good, although I see no reason to play billy over oni now especially with the cool new Minotaur skin coming out in a couple days.
-
Damn and I thought bungie was bad. I literally went from destiny to this game because of those devs making bad choices.
-
F.
-
######### oni looks awesome as hell, never thought they would make him look completely different.
-
Wait what I don't seem to understand what you mean.
-
I hate the word boring, It's just another way to say this is op/that is op to get the devs to nerf that what does not need it.
-
The problem is things that need to be nerfed are not while things that are completely fine get a nerf. hint hint billy nerf over spirit.

You do realise that killers are different with different abilities and survivors are just skins?
About the items you can always change your build if you want to use franklins for example.
You guys need to stop with this whining thing im getting sick of it honestly.
How is a 4 man quick switching last second to all flashlights fair? by quick switching last second you cannot put on lightborn or franklin's
-
lmao what happened to this post
-
It would be nice for moris but otherwise nah it doesn't really fit this games style. Also before you say its a horror game it should have gore, dbd is more of a arcade like chase game with a horror theme it's what makes this game special. Other asymmetrical games like Friday the 13 are different in that they are more horror like than arcade style gameplay.
-
This whole this is so people play billy less it's just so obvious. Less skins for him, awful new mechanics, ######### addons they say that he is ok but BHVR's actions say that they just want less billy players.

After reading more about the upcoming MMR system, I think their decision to "lock-in" your killer in the public lobby is warranted. Since it will matchmake based upon your skill with individual killers, being able to swap in lobby would break the system (find a lobby with a killer you don't play much or aren't good with to get low-mmr survivors, then swap to your main killer and steamroll them).
I think it will actually be fine so long as loadouts continue to be adjustable after readying up.
To fix the loss of bloodweb convenience, they could always just make the bloodwebs of ALL characters become accessible from the bloodweb tab. Just have it pull up each character's (survivor and killer) picture when clicked on, just like with character selection tab, and then select the bloodweb you want to spend points on. You could then work on any bloodweb after locking in your killer, or even level up characters of the opposite role. PLUS, then I wouldn't have to listen to Oni roaring in my ear every 10 second while putting bloodpoints into him.
Yeah this right here. It seems to be more good than bad, only bad things are the bloodpoint inconvenience and the knowing who the killer is exploit.

Maybe they only tracked killers that didn't switch?
I'm curious why they tested it on xbox one and not PC or PS4.
Exactly, makes no sense why they would test it in xbox instead of pc when the ptb's are on pc anyways. Doesn't xbox even have a smaller playerbase than ps4/pc?

My connection is 100% stable in literally every other game and I've run countless tests to verify that the problem is not on my end.
no I mean the other player not you
-
yep I literally made a thread about it a couple hours ago and it got little attention. Just seems like people don't care

I doubt PGTW will ever get changed, as a survivor main I do see it as a balanced perk. You have to win a chase, successfully hook, and then make it to the gen you want to hit before it gets finished to pop it. PGTW promotes good and fun gameplay, no matter how irritating it is to have your gen instantly regressed by 25%. And now there is a perk that directly counters it, so anyone who really has a problem with PGTW should just run Repressed Alliance (or whatever that new gen blocking perk is called)
I mean it is BHVR so you never know
-
I'm pretty sure this is not the fault of the server but of the players connection who is lagging.

@IIITweedleIII said:
Did you not read the notes on this? They said that's the idea not to allow switching once in lobby
When you quick switch your killer it makes it so that exploiters cannot tell what killer your playing before the game starts.

I'm tired of playing at night and having my eardrums destroyed by the rock concert that is billy's chainsaw. Can you please lower it's volume to leatherfaces? At least?
lmao I like how you described it. In all seriousness tho it really needs to be quieter actually deafening how loud it is.
-
Its an online game, toxicity is basically expected.
-
Because sprint burst needs more skill to use. dh is much easier than sprint burst.
-
Yep, both of them are completely counterable. Its mostly people who suck at doing exactly what counters the killers power that are complaining.

@Vult2 said:
Is he a strong killer? Is a fun killer to play with him?
I saw some handicaps in him: he is slow, bad perks, his shoots can be dodged without much problems, his power is not so good as seems in loops, and the shoots have small hitbox so u need have good aim.
But well, I have too many shards and the alternatives are legion and clown, but ppl say those 2 are the worst killer, and anyway PGTW are is shrine now.
Really fun just not very strong. Although some people want him to be nerfed and knowing these devs they will most likely nerf him within a year.

I just played the game for 3 weeks, I learned everything but still didn't understand that big toxicity. There's always a toxic person in every match, teabagging, flash spamming is eveywhere, there is also a guide called "How to be a toxic survivor on DBD?" Why? Why so toxic man? And whose fault is that? I reported at least 5 person who has toxic behaviour, none of them banned I think. Whose fault is that?
Its a competitive multiplayer game toxicity is almost guaranteed, that being said its not really anyone fault at all just the type of people games like this attract
-
I agree Spring trap seemed like a good idea at first, but as more and more people kept spamming and begging nonstop it made me not want him in the game at all.
-
lmao yeah but don't count on the devs to actually do anything

@ClickyClicky said:
And killers aren’t?
you get chased by a huge guy with a knife....you run.....and they get salty and camp you if you dare to evade them for too long. Like is there some kind of “you get 3 pallets then you need to go down” rule I never heard of?
Everyone In this community is entitled and biased Just a fact. All of the toxicity is the same no matter what the side. It only feels worse as killer to be picked on in end game chat because its 4 people ganging up on you, When in reality none of it even matters. Just press the leave button and move on to the next game.

2 post history. smells like bait to me.

Bait post. Stop replying and let this thread fade out.

The reason I stopped playing killer was the billy nerf. Now it wasn't because of billy specifically Just the thought of the next killer I find fun being nerfed, Its absurd. Why should i put time into a killer i enjoy just for them to be nerfed because some people don't know how to counter them. Now while all the factors op listed are somewhat accurate to an extent, I don't think they compare to your favorite killer being nerfed you know the one you put hundreds of hours into just for them to be ######### after an update. It makes no sense why you should put time into something you enjoy just for it to be taken away later.
-
Mandatory if you want the win

Clear survivor main

Can we just delay the hillbilly part of the update for now? Like I don't know maybe put it off till next update.
Sorry but it's dbd. Even if a change is hated by virtually everyone it basically always gets implemented anyways.

Just ######### leave. Just leave when the gates are powered, please. I do not want to give you your fourth stack, I do not want to give you protection hits, I do not want your pity hits. Leave so I can go on to my next game. Please.
Especially if the killer didn't manage to sacrifice a single one of you and they're significantly lower ranked than you. You're rubbing salt in the wound. Leave. Just leave.
Yeah i feel you man, especially when everyone is at the gate anyways. But if not everyone is at the gate I usually stay to save anyone who might get hooked.

I want to add more to those two killers to make them less reliant on such an awful mechanic.
I mean you say this but do you even have any ideas on what to change.
-
This is what happens when a company pretty much has a monopoly on the asymmetrical game genre. They can do whatever they want to the game because there is no better alternative for people to play, so therefore no reason to keep the playerbase happy when everyone will come back to dbd anyways.
-
The whole point of deep wounds is to waste the survivors time so they can't just rush a gen after getting hit with a legion attack or deathslinger shot. Removing this mechanic would make legion and deathslinger significantly underpowered. The only thing that needs to be changed about deep wounds is the annoying screen effect.
