I like your idea of having less gens to complete if someone dc's. That's the only thing that's frustrating to me when someone dc's... still having all those gens to complete.

I'm starting to have that same mentality as some, I've reached red ranks and people are all for themselves xD I go into games now not to survive so to say but to help the team survive :D #iwontletmyteamdie!
I agree... I'm all about my team, even when sometimes they aren't. :)
-
If I die early in the game, then I would prefer to depip. If I continue to pip or safety pip, then I think I'll have to go against harder and harder killers. I'm terrible at chases, so I'd prefer they not make it easier to pip, if I'm clearly not doing well in a match.
If I keep pipping after being crushed in a game, then I think it would make it to where I am crushed in more and more games. Not my favorite.
-
I'm on pc and I had at least 2 games with him in it today. I love the demogorgon... not that he's easy, because I died in both matches, but he's fun to go against. I like the music, the stomping around and his roars.
You're right though... I don't see him a lot. I see a lot more Ghostface, Meyers and Legion in my games.
-
Maybe because there are less survivors in the game, so they know that it is pointless to get too far away from the hook. I had a game where 2 people dc'd early. After that, there were only us 2 survivors left, so I think he knew that we'd have to go for the save and he didn't stray too far from the hook. He did some proxy camping.
-
Interesting. Is there a certain time where the corrupt runs out and she can't use it anymore? Is that why you hide? Thanks.
-
I agree... please block foul language. I don't really enjoy it. I don't know if I'm in the minority nowadays, but that's what I prefer.

Smack the wall. Usually that'll tell them to stop wiggling. But some survivors dont get ir.
I would never know that means to not wiggle. I always thought they wanted you to wiggle, so they could let you get off to work on the gen, etc. What does it matter if they do or do not wiggle?
-
Some people are like that, but not everyone.
-
I always see it as they want you to come rescue them. They seem to do it more when no one is going for the save. They seem to stop, when you start heading their way.
I'm not OG btw. I started playing in June of this year, so maybe the meaning is changing.
-
empathy and bond. I like to be aware of what my fellow survivors are doing. It helps me to know if I should go for the save. It helps me find gens and it also shows me where I should not run if I'm being chased. I can avoid the other survivors, so they can be doing more useful things.
It has also shown me at times when another survivor is bringing the killer straight to me! Ha. :)
-
sometimes dreams foretell the future.
-
Yes, I own it. I bought it around June of this year for PC. I bought one on PS4 for my son for his birthday about a year ago, so he has it too.
-
It wasn't me, so I can't help you. Maybe you can ask them personally why they dc'd.
-
I have almost 400 hours in. I'd consider myself a potato. I see others in my game do so much better being chased by the killer. I try, but I'm not so good at it yet. I'm going to keep at it though, because the game is fun.
I'm happy to see this post and know that I'm not the only one. :)
-
The 3 great skill checks one took me forever. 8 games maybe. I finally got it in a game where the killer decided to let us all live. For some reason, with the pressure off, I suddenly started getting lots of greats.
-
I see the crouching/ butt dance in games often where it's meant as a hello or thank you to other survivors. I also have done it to killers when they are being nice and letting me live. That or a head nod. I love the fast head nod that killers give when they're deciding to let you go.
-
Me and the killer were shown as disconnecting on a game I was in today. I hadn't dc'd so...
-
A fun match for me is one that doesn't end instantly. Where you have a chance to play the game and contribute. I'm a survivor main, so I figure it's the same for killers. They want a chance to play and not have the game ending instantly. I don't have to escape to have an enjoyable game. It is nice though. :)
-
I don't really hate noed. I've gotten used to it. If we've gotten to the point that noed activates, then we've usually had a pretty good game. It's when I'm killed immediately within a few minutes of the game starting, now those are the unfun games to me.
-
I'm thinking that play time can help determine your rank. Because I can't figure out why I keep ranking up and I'm still terrible at being chased. I can do everything else, but that. I do play a lot of hours though.
-
When other survivors do things to bring the killer to me. For example, I've had them throw a pallet down for no reason, vault windows... I once had a player motioning for someone to come over while we were working on a gen. I thought he must be swf and is motioning to his friends, but found out later, he was object of obsession and was motioning to the killer. Things like that.
I also hate when the chat is toxic at the end of the game. I prefer it when people are nice. I don't like it when they say to the killer, "ez". I feel like it will reflect badly on me as well, since I was on their survivor team.
-
Maybe it's because it's in the middle of the night. Or does this always happen?
-
A T-Rex with feathers.
-
Leatherface, Hag, Plague and Wraith. I can't do well with chases or looping anyway, so Spirit feels just like any other killer. But those 4, I really like the least.

This has probably been said before, but, I really miss milking squishy Pustula plants as my second objective as survivor, and Hooking survivors on Pustlua Plant infested hooks as killer. While there has been no major game-play mechanic change this year for the killer, the lack of the extra game-play mechanic for the survivor is felt pretty hard. It was exciting having that extra objective as survivor as much as it was rewarding when you succeeded. I miss that, and am sad that all of the new players this year haven't experienced it. After the Blight event ended last year (even though it had its bumps requiring some major balance changes/fixes), It was still something uniquely different from standard play, and I was eagerly anticipating its return this year. This year however, while ok and providing more BP, is no more than a carbon copy of the Lunar, and Summer BBQ events as far as objectives, with only 2 full sets of cosmetics to compensate.
Sadly, this years Halloween event in full has been a major disappointment. Yeah, we get more bloodpoints from it, and even have a bloodhunt to amp those earnings up, but without the fun game-play mechanic of last year, this year just doesn't stand out.
I was bummed too, that I didn't get the pustula plants experience. This is my first year playing DBD. Maybe they'll bring it back next year. Other than that, I'm enjoying it pretty well.
-
Yeah, it looks like he lost half his arm.
-
I do if others aren't going for the save. I don't run borrowed time, so I'll take a hit or be downed to rescue the survivor. It depends on the situation.
There was one game today where the huntress was standing on the stairs to the basement facing outward with her hatchet raised, so I just left. I couldn't figure out why the others weren't saving the survivor, (I could see with bond that we were all around), until I got to the top of the basement stairs and saw that. Oh my. :)

We need more people like you playing this game! I feel like new players who come to the game are just met by toxicity and if they're a baby killer, they get abuse over messages (Xbox One here), and I've been a victim of it myself, even now, I'm Rank 11 and I usually main Ghost Face and I usually get my ass handed to me but I get the usual toxic messages of how I suck, I'm so ezzzzzzz to beat, etc, etc. I personally just reply with a jokey message because I just don't care. I'm there to have fun. I earned points, they earned points, everyone wins in my book. People need to stop taking this game so damn seriously and just have a laugh with it, and make the new players feel welcome, not berate them so they just uninstall after 1 match.
You are so right! I cringe when I see a survivor writing messages like that to the killer. Then the killer usually leaves right away, so you can't chime in and say anything against the toxic chatter.
-
I rarely get camped, but if I do then I hold out for as long as possible.
I feel like they do that to try and force you to give up. I don't want to give them that pleasure. ha. :) They're going to have to wait it out while I struggle.
-
What happened? How did he get so little points?
-
Pretty fun for the most part. I only had one game that I didn't enjoy. In fact, I was wishing it would just be over. It was a Legion who had a terror radius that seemed to be everywhere. Is that an add-on or something? Whatever it was, it wasn't fun at all.
-
Wraith is hard for me too, so I see where you're coming from. I don't usually notice him until he's right up on me. I don't run spine chill though.
-
When someone starts saying stuff like that, I think it's best not to even engage in conversation with them. Nothing you say will matter, because they probably just like to bash others. I wouldn't worry about it. The things that he's saying is more of a reflection of his personality and has nothing to do with you as a person.
I know it sucks to have people say hateful things to you for no apparent reason. It's likely that he has dc'd before as well. Nobody is perfect. Take care. :)
-
I like certain sounds in the game.
Pallet stun of the Doctor and the Huntress.
The sounds of certain survivors when they get hit... Dwight and Laurie. Funny. :)
-
I would love to be able to play with others on PS4, then I could play with my son. I hope it comes soon!
-
I hate to leave someone in the basement though. I like to at least try to save them, if no one else is. If everyone is around, that's when I'll try to work on a gen instead.

As long as they don't ask you to activate "Mettle of Man" twice in a single trial there's nothing that wouldn't be achievable.
Seriously though, I don't mind difficult challenges, but I am proud to play very fair as killer. I have not gotten an actual hate message so far, quite the contrary, I get a lot of compliments from survivors. I fear that when going for four basement sacrifices (or even just end game sacrifices with NOED which I have not used a single game so far) would require me to play in a way that I absolutely don't want to and that'll result in my inbox overflowing with the hate messages I was missing thus far. Even worse, I couldn't even blame the survivors for it if I'd center my entire match strategy around getting everyone into the basement, and that for multiple games because I surely won't achieve that in the first game.
At the very least, please don't lock lore behind such challenges. I can live with missing rift fragments and collecting them through regular gameplay, but lore would be disappointing.
The one good thing is that people are becoming aware of the challenges and hopefully won't be as upset knowing that fact. You never know though.
-
What about all the players that are not in swf. I'm not. I agree that the perk should deactivate if we can't see the killer. That would be nice.
-
Someone tried to do the a chest challenge yesterday. They told us in the pre-game chat that they were doing the challenge. I told her that I wouldn't touch the chests then.
At the end of the game, I asked her if she completed the challenge and she said no. Someone else got the basement chest. So, even with giving the survivors a heads up in the pre-game lobby, these challenges can be difficult. The one survivor that searched the chest most likely hadn't read or seen the pre-game chat box and didn't know.
The flashlight challenge sounds really hard to me too. I've never used a flashlight to blind a killer or tried. I was always afraid that would irritate them. I guess I'm going to have to start giving it a try. I'm scared! :)
-
That's a bummer. I haven't even gotten to try object of obsession yet.

what are sandbaggers?!
They body block you so you can't move in a certain direction.
-
I voted for the rift game goals, but what I like about them is the bloodpoint potential.
-
I used to use spine chill, but I found that it made me not pay attention to my surroundings. I stopped using it, to force myself to be more alert. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I wanted to make myself get involved in more chases, hoping I would get better at them. So far, I'm still terrible at chases.
-
Inner strength might be cool, but I haven't bought Nancy yet.
-
I like empathy the best, because it gives me an idea of where the other survivors are.
I also like bond, with these 2 paired, I can more often figure out if I should go for a save or not.
It also helps me know where not to run, if the killer is chasing me. I can avoid my fellow survivors.
My 3rd favorite is deja vu. In some maps, I have a hard time finding the gens.
-
I'm so excited! :)

I had a claudette do that thing where she pretends to take me off the hook until I died because I accidentally sandbagged her. I didn't know where the killer was at the time, and I'm admittedly not a good survivor. (It was a GF if you were wondering.)
It's not nice. Sometimes things happen and they don't mean to harm you.
But pointing at an occupied locker is just rude. If I see someone do that as killer I give them more leniency but punish the other one.
This same thing happened to me, but it was a Jake. I didn't mean to sandbag, because I thought the killer was coming in the opposite direction in Hawkins Lab. We were in one of the corridors and I was trying to go one way and he was trying to come my way, so we were paused there while I was trying to figure out what was going on. The killer came up behind him and downed him.
I wasn't doing it on purpose, I'm just not that good. Then he came to me later when I was on the hook and kept pretending to unhook me. That kind of hurt my feelings, so I went afk after that.

Then don't run self-care
So many other perks are better
I run self-care, because I can't always find teammates to heal me up. In fact, they sometimes run away from me when I'm trying to get healed. So, I just run self-care, so I don't have to worry about that if it happens.
I don't like to bring a med kit, because I think it makes it easier for the killer to spot you with the big red box. I could be wrong, because I don't play killer too much.
-
Ugh, I've had this happen. Trying to repair and I go into self-care and vice versa. Or, when I try to heal someone else and instead I start healing myself. :)
