I would say neither? They are just hard to play.
If I had to pick one it would be clown, because he is very simplistic, has no map pressure and isnt even that great at denying loops, but with the recent buff clown is receiving he should have things easier
Recent buff? Did they release details on what they're doing with the Clown??

Tapp I think is fine, ignoring the fact that he doesn't look anything like the actor who played him. Laurie ain't great, though, and once glance at Quentin the Hobgoblin says it all.
I agree none of them are as bad as Quentin (everybody talks about Quentin's face but I think it's the super stringy looking hair [especially on the forehead] that bugs me the most), but to be fair he's not wrong, a lot of the faces in DBD could use some touching up. I think this image explains it all:
Even a really small touch up like they did for Bill's beard, something that nobody asked for or knew they wanted, but made a HUGE difference after it was done.
Plus the devs did say during the 4th anniversary livestream that we can expect a massive graphic update / overhaul for the 4th year, to help DBD keep pace with all the new next gen. stuff that will be coming out soon. Hopefully this also means not only just updating the maps, special effects for killer powers, and animations, but also character models as well.
It might be really weird to have a full graphical shift in DBD and then the character models stay the same. So here's hoping

Hey, you're the one who's saying it's difficult to escape against him. You're really gonna turn your nose up when someone tries to give you advice?

I'll be honest, I did not even pay attention to the survivor side of the cosmetic contest I was too busy hooting and hollering that the super cool Legion skin I saw (and everyone knew it was gonna win, let's be honest, that man went all out even with a trailer for the skin) made it in. Was not paying attention to the survivor side at all this time around
Even though I hardly play Legion at all, mad respect to the guy who created such a cool cosmetic idea, hope they can nail the LED mask and it's multiple expressions.

Will legendary skins cost 20 bucks?
In a game like r6 thats the usually price for a legendary skin that changes the character, I am wondering if it's gonna be the same case for dbd since legendary skins will also change the looks and how the characters plays
It cannot be the same price as the purple skins soo it must be up, but how high will they go? 15?20 bucks?
20$ is definitely not within the price range of Dead by Daylight, the most expensive piece of content in DBD is the Stranger Things chapter which is 11.99$ USD and only because it offers three characters as opposed to the typical 2.
The word "Legendary" does not warrant such a sharp increase in price, although I do expect they will be uniquely priced. Depending on the legendary skin I expect that you would probably only be able to buy them for auric cells since they are basically characters themselves, that or they will be marked up in high price to grind for iridescent shards.
But nowhere near 20$, that's literally the price of the base game itself and there's no amount of twisting of logic and words that anybody could say to make that worthwhile when you can buy entire characters that actually have perks for 7$

Dont you feel stupid now
Not particularly.
To be fair it's not like I'm not the only one who was caught by surprise either by this out-of-left-field pick, both Paulie Esther and The King also misjudged the evidence. Also made practically a dozen other theories and Pyramid Head was on the low priority end in the scale of likelihood for both of them.
To be entirely honest the people who said it was PH just made a lucky guess based off a hunch and some pretty stretched logic, the fact that it just so happened to actually pan out does not change that.
And it was indeed out of left field, almost 4 years and I had never once (that I can recall) remember hearing the devs even passingly mention Silent Hill, and all of a sudden Dave Richard comes on stream saying Silent Hill was one of the first and really beloved horror video games he played way back when. This was entirely new information, at least to me, that was basically the equivalent of a Deus Ex Machina.
I remember seeing Scott Jund's reaction to the "4" turning into the Side Profile of Pyramid Head and he said: "It was so obvious" and my immediate thought was - Yeah, it was so obvious. Way too obvious, such a blatant hint put front and center in front of the eyes of literal thousands that was not subtle at all. There was no way the devs would actually make it that easy to figure out would it? Apparently the devs were counting on this, and quite literally pulled a mindgame on many including me.
That and the whole deal with Konami, everybody thinking about the evidence for Candyman, Pennywise, Pinhead, The Xenmorph, hell even Jason Voorhees became a much more plausible candidate than ever before. The evidence seemed to stack up far in the favor of literally anybody else, and what evidence there was for PH seemed far too surface level or coincidental, and I don't think anybody can fault me for that.
-
Lol alright buddy. Enjoy the victory while it lasts.
I stand by my previous statements and logic, I'll reiterate: I never said Pyramid Head could never make it into the game and I never even said he would be a bad choice. I was simply of the mindset to be expecting something so much grander, hell even a gigantic yet controversial character like Jason Voorhees became more plausible than ever this time around in the speculating ring, but I suppose I set the bar of expectation too high this time around.
Ya win some ya lose some when it comes to theorycrafting. GG

She's not good, she's anything but good, she's mediocre at best and by far one of if not the most poorly designed killers in the entire game. Pay close attention to the wording there: I did not say she was the worst killer I said she was the most poorly "designed" in terms of gameplay and I absolutely despise her because of it. I think that's probably one of the worst things about her she's not actually even the worst killer in the game she's just an extremely sad middle ground and because of this her issues have largely been swept under the rug in comparison to other killers who have far more noticeable or pressing issues that need to be fixed.
She is not fun to play against.
She is not fun to play as.
And I am most definitely ALWAYS ready to rant about her at the drop of a ######### dime.
I'm going to start right off the bat with the meat of my point so to speak. Her biggest problem is one that is not necessarily unique to her specifically it is something that has plagued killers in the past which led to some of the biggest reworks for them (Freddy & the Doctor) and it is something that the Pig actually suffers from now. Lack of interactivity.
The fact of the matter that nobody can dispute is that her power is a largely passive one: you throw up on a survivor and that's about it there's nothing more to that. You can continue throwing up on them to speed up the process, but if you really wanted to you could throw up on one guy let him go disengage the chase completely chase someone else and just bide your time while he succumbs to the illness. Even once you do have someone completely sick and broken there is absolutely nothing else to do with her power she is quite literally the definition of an m1 killer at that point since her power does not help down survivors.
The only interactive part of her ability is when she does manage to change her vile purge to corrupt purge but survivors are consistently encouraging each other to never cleanse themselves and for good reason. You'd rather be broken, than give any killer access to the singlehandedly most aggressive, powerful, and easy to use ability out of every single killer on the entire roster. Because 1. it is a ranged attack that can hit from a distance over pallets and through windows 2. it is a spray so unlike the Deathslinger or Huntress it doesn't take skill, you don't have to aim you can quite literally thrash your mouse and screen around to maximize coverage, so it isn't difficult to use even a rank 20 can use it to essentially it's maximum potential 3. it can hit multiple survivors at one time making it an excellent defensive tool to cover hooks and generators that are closed to finished and 4. functions in much the same way Michael Myers EWIII does in that you can steamroll a massive amount of pressure at one time downing one survivor after another in a limited (but generous) slot of time.
And it also happens to be probably the only fun part of her kit. So basically survivors are actively encouraged to cleanse as little as possible limiting your access as a killer to the most effective and fun aspect of her power. Leaving you for the most part of your matches running loops as per normal with no other tool to actually help finish off your chases, because again, the vile purge does not help finish chases you cannot down survivors with the vile purge.
EDIT: To clarify this problem and make it more clear, this is "the passive problem" for killers. In short basically any killer who has a power that is passive in some way, shape, or form is quite simply not as fun as the their compatriots. Her power is passive that is her issue summed up in a few words. In the same way The Pig's power is not as fun because, amidst a few other problems, her Reverse Bear Trap is a completely passive mechanic. As the Pig there is nothing you are doing there, you slap an RBT on top of the head of a survivor and then it is up to them whether or not they get it off in time (not to mention the RBT is completely RNG reliant which is a whole different issue unto itself).
EDIT (cont.): Pre-rework this was something both the Doctor and Freddy suffered from, Freddy's power previously was a slow + aura reveal that was completely passive and did not help his chases at all aside from maybe tracking if you lost a survivor. Doctor walked around in treatment mode essentially waiting for someone who was hiding to scream and blow their cover. All of these mechanics and effects you reaped the rewards of passively. This is hardly fun for the survivor or for the killer because as the killer you're not doing anything special, and for the survivor it feels like the killers are being unfairly rewarded for doing basically and essentially nothing.
And it's no fun from a survivor's perspective either because you as a survivor are stuck with two choices and neither option benefits you in any way. You can either choose to stay sick and eventually become broken, which also by the way limits how efficiently you can stealth since your character will constantly be coughing and throwing up which is a dead giveaway to your location. Or you can choose to bite the bullet say "######### it" and cleanse yourself which is typically a cascading effect where your teammates will also decide "he did it, there's no point in not cleansing now" so all four of you cleanse and vastly hamper your chances of collectively escaping in about thirty seconds.
In this way there is no counterplay to the Plague's power, even if she only threw up on you for a fraction of a second, there is nothing you can do to stop the disease from running its course and applying the broken status effect on you. This illness never goes away either so if you ever need to be rescued off the hook, or someone else needs a heal that spreads throughout the rest of your team. There is no winning decision to make here it's not like deciding when, how, and where to wake up from the dream world against Freddy or whether or not to take the time crouching past Hag traps or run past them quickly but triggering them in the process. You are forced to choose between one of two evils and usually survivors will opt for the lesser of the two: to stay broken.
And the problems don't stop there as a survivor because you aren't even given recompense for suffering through the match, when going up against a Plague you will actually on average have LESS Bloodpoints than against any other killer. Because you're constantly broken you will be taking a huge hit to your altruism category since you will hardly ever be healing your teammates if at all, you'll mostly be getting those altruism points purely off of unhooks and safe unhooks, but kiss those goodbye if you end up being the gen jockey on your team. This also negatively impacts your rank since it will be more difficult to get a good a good score in the altruism category.
Even if I'm going up against the Legion at the very least even if it's not the most fun match, I still reap the benefits from constantly mending and healing throughout the entire match. There's still something to look forward to, something to work for, but not so when it comes to the Plague.
So concluding, the Plague's power is not fun because it is not interactive it is the opposite: it is passive. It is not something that is fun to use and even less fun to go up against because survivors don't have counterplay to fight against it they are instead given two choices neither of which actually benefit them, either stay broken or give the killer access to a broken (figure of speech, not me saying it's "op") power. On top of this survivors on average will earn less bloodpoints when going up against a Plague because they are essentially sacrificing a majority of the altruism category seeing as they never get to heal each other or even themselves (through a medkit / SC)
Note: to reiterate none of this is my saying that the Plague is "op" "powerful" or even "good" the most obvious reason being she can be looped like any other killer to the end of time. She is quite bluntly not fun, in most every aspect, there is no secret message to read into there that is the long and the short of it she was poorly designed and her
To loop this back around and fit my rant snuggly within the context of the thread, it is because of these issues that content creators do not cover her frequently because there is quite simply nothing to do with her. There are no crazy plays you can make, no crazy shots like with deathslinger or Huntress, no genuinely skillful plays like with Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, Oni, etc. It is also the reason why the community at large does not play Plague even based off statistics from last year. In an official statistic they released in November of 2019 on these very forums she was the least picked killer considering all ranks.

Killer power vs. popularity
Starting off with how frequently killers are played compared to how well they tend to do on average. A 50% kill rate would be the equivalent of two survivors dying and two survivors escaping.

Maps
We went ahead and checked which three maps are safest and which three are the most dangerous.

Mid-chapter 3.3.0: Outcome
The Nurse was changed in the last mid-chapter patch, and we've been keeping an eye on her performance since then. Below, we've listed her performance on PC before and after the changes, both in all ranks and in red ranks. Like the charts above, the numbers shown here are her kill rates (where 50% means two survivors escape and two die).
It's for this reason I suspect there's no specific content creator who covers Plague more than anything else.

I get that, but I want to at least herd the tension a little bit by letting people vent out what they think should be changed to Freddy to make him more "Fun". It's better than letting them be.
No it's not actually, it is by far not better these threads crop up every few days and they perpetuate this idea that "there is a real problem with Freddy" when there is seriously NOT.
By creating more of these threads you are quite literally stoking the flames, fanning the fire, adding wood on the pile, literally any and every phrase I can think of that has to do with creating a bigger problem, COMBINED!!!
-
First Freddy is "boring"
Now Huntress is "boring"
I'm fairly certain I heard someone say Doctor was annoying but honestly I think I might have mis-heard him, he could have said "boring"
IS THERE NOTHING THAT IS FUN TO YOU PEOPLE?? Why are you still playing?????!
(To clarify, I'm not roasting or flaming OP, I'm simply pointing out that there is a super extremely strong surge of people who are just labeling different killers as "boring" and only providing minimal [or flat out not very good] reasons why.)
-
@Nurgling7 said:
Accept that he is a strong killer and adapt to his playstyle?
Honestly, the claims that he is boring are bullshit.
"Oh, all he does is spam snares."
I'm sorry that somehow messes up your brilliant, intuitive plan to juke him... Oh wait, no, you were just going to run in damn circles around the pallet. Just like the rest of the killer roster.
Give me a break. Who is the boring player, really?
This is the real answer here. ^^^
Freddy does not need any more changes beyond the ones he has already been given, I mean seriously, the singlehandedly biggest and best rework in the history of DBD and people want him to be changed again?
Edit: Not "people" in general, it's survivors. It's basically only survivor mains complaining.
If Freddy does get changes in the future it's not gonna be for a good *ss long while. There are other killers that need far more serious attention than Freddy who's only apparent problem is "he's boring" (oh please). My man Clown is in desperate need of a buff / rework and Leatherface, Pig, Plague, Legion, all need some serious love as well.

The more survivors that are asleep, the faster the cooldown is for Freddy's teleport is, that's pressure.
If I remember correctly, that is. I could be wrong, so correct me if I am!
No, you're right, but that still doesn't coincide with your earlier statement that's not "pressure just from existing" that's freddy exerting map pressure through his presence at key points in the map.
Having the teleport up doesn't just "automatically apply pressure" he first needs to teleport to the right place, and even if he does he still needs to find (potentially immersed P3 Blendette) and then chase to gain that pressure. It's not like his power has a built in Ruin that's exactly why the devs nerfed the perk because it was "pressure for just existing" it slowed survivors gen progress just by having it.
Where even Freddy's Teleport is still at the end of the day only a tool Freddy can use to exert pressure, it's not the actual pressure itself.
-
@chase131119 said:
The one thing that I dislike is that Freddy gets pressure simply for existing.
This is just not true at all because the passive sleep literally does nothing. The only thing being asleep does now is make you susceptible to Freddy's power so now you can be slowed by the dream snares, and you'll also see fake pallets.
So no, Freddy doesn't get pressure from "existing" he still has to use his power effectively to get utility out of it much like most any. other. killer.

"May" in this context means in agreement, you should see that..."It may be rainy today, but that will not cause us gloom!" or something. Not uncertainty. I am glad you agree with me that it is in the realm of possibility. And there are far more reasons why the T-800 would get chosen over a T-1000. You don't know BHVR's budget nor do you understand their intentions with who they want to work with. Bruce Campbell was a huge stepping stone for them, why wouldn't they go beyond that if they had an opportunity? Working Arnold would be another huge milestone for them over Robert Patrick who would be the first non-horror character similar to The Thing and would probably get more backlash that intended from the fans who actually expect DBD to be all horror.
That is exactly what I said...You use Bruce Campbell which was a thing of the past to gauge what they are capable of and willing to obtain at this point in time. That point is bunkum as you have no clue to what their "maximum" standard is. More assumptions, my man. They are willing to go beyond every time and have made more money off DBD than you can think. This game is their baby, their cash cow and they would treat it right.
"It didn't work out" probably goes back to license holders. Like I said, there are people who are more willing to give out certain properties than others. You can't say that just because they couldn't get "X" then another, more expensive "X" would be impossible. 90% of DBD characters are voiced by the devs themselves. They have no reason to actually hire Joe Keery to make grunts and screams because THAT would truly be a waste of money. They simply tried with a certain dev, and it didn't work out how they expected. They simply got unlucky with who they chose. It would be foolish to spend a good bit of money just to have the actor do those. I don't know why you bring that up when the likeness part of them is what is really important and they nailed that.
I won't dispute that. And again I'll say you know squat about their budget and how much they are willing to spend. If you were a dev that spilled the beans, I'd take your word a little more seriously. But you're just a fan.
Your logic is flawed by using Bruce Campbell as a comparable standard to what they will get in the future. Back in the day, when you told someone a "buggy mess" like DBD was going to get Bruce Campbell to work with them, they would laugh, call you ridiculous. The game is always going forward and reaching new heights. I feel like I've said similar multiple times by now. They would go for something very iconic and very profitable in exchange for something that might even be expensive.
No? I'm just telling you what TRULY would fit into this game as a Terminator fan personally. And what they would realistically get. I hope you don't take offense to that, I'm sure you don't. You just first started typing unecessary paragraphs when you know that you'll get absolutely nothing out of it and I wanted to retort.
He is quite indeed unpopular to casual people who think of the Terminator franchise. They think of a T-800 endokeleton, they think of Arnold. Robert Patrick is certainly not the first thing to pop into their head. Heck, some haven't even seen Judgement Day.
To you, it might be intimidating. I don't find Robert who (looks like my older neighbor btw no joke) to be scarier than an Austrian bodybuilder and I'm sure many others would agree. To me this is more intimidating (granted it's Genisys):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/309/maxresdefault.jpg
So just because Cameron said so, means everyone else feels the same way? The feelings of one person? You've got to be kidding... There is no way where any of the T-1000's scene's and fear factor compare to the android of the first movie to most people. And while James may be scared of Patrick's mean face, doesn't mean that is what scared him the most out of the franchise. He's also stated that Arnold was a perfect actor to invoke the thrilling nature of the first film. Why? Cuz he was intimidating.
Again opinions man, all opinions. Maybe don't first say "X" wouldn't fit if you are really opinionated and based on feelings. We really could go back and forth on this for weeks I don't mind. I don't want to, but you wouldn't accept a conclusion that I offered and made more paragraphs which I'll respond to. But we SHALL see who is correct in the future as I said.
I'm gradually decreasing the length of my answers here, (or at least making the effort to) so I hope that doesn't go unnoticed
- I'm going to point out that you have about as much knowledge about BHVR's budget as I do, that kind of a point is a two-way street and you equally have no idea how high their budget actually goes and whether it matches a "Schwarzenegger standard". The difference being, your whole point hinges entirely on a "maybe, possibly" form of logic, whereas I am using actual evidence of prior events that have indeed truthfully occurred to create a somewhat reasonable inference as a basis for my point. Not "assumptions, opinions" or "I think" statements.
- I don't know how else I can put that, I'm trying not to be harsh but your whole point is so sloppily cobbled together you even took my statement describing "the realm of possibility" as me agreeing with you. You'd have to stretch my stance incredibly far to get to that point, especially since my analogy was betting on the odds of "finding a needle in a haystack"
- To put it more clearly your whole proposition is an argument from ignorance, or "appeal to ignorance" (ignorance in this case being "a lack of contrary evidence"). Which is in itself a fallacy in informal logic, asserting that a proposition is true because it has not yet been proven false, resulting in a false positive. You say I cannot entirely disprove the possibility that BHVR could ever successfully negotiate with Schwarzenegger therefore making it possible, but I say you can neither prove this fact either. Making your whole point null and void.
- Nobody here on these forums is more aware of how successful Dead By Daylight is than me (a figure of speech, not an actual proving point) I've been playing, enjoying, and supporting the game since 2016 and I am well aware of how immensely and exponentially DBD has grown in that time and what they've been able to accomplish. I am simply trying to maintain a somewhat reasonable and realistic view of the subject matter, which is that Schwarzenegger is more than likely a celebrity beyond the reach of a smaller company like BHVR.
- BHVR isn't God, it's not like they can do anything and everything, they have limitations and it's important to recognize them, setting your expectations up to the highest standard possible will only ever make you liable to be let down. Again, it's also important recognize that within the boundaries of those limitations BHVR and the dev team have been able to accomplish great things.
- Then why did they hire Bruce Campbell? Obviously they needed to work with him to be able to use the actor's likeness, but if it would have been cheaper just to have one of the dev team voice the character why didn't they? Because according to your logic it would have been a "waste of money" otherwise, yet still they did it. So why not treat equally popular characters and if anything more relevant characters in the modern year with the same amount of respect and utmost care for quality?
- Despite the lengthy history of the Evil Dead franchise that Ash Vs Evil Dead hails from, it is undeniable that Stranger Things was a more popular show. Case in point, season 2 was left on a cliffhanger setting up and teasing the plotline for Season 3 which would have been set in a dystopian "Mad Max" like future but the show was canceled before that could ever happen. Similarly the end of season 2 for Stranger Things left on a cliffhanger that functioned in much the same way the difference being the show will actually get to see its third season (after the pandemic probably) and we have already seen trailers for it.
- Your neighbor must be pretty scary.
- The only thing that's scary about that image is the terrible CGI / special effects
- "The feelings of one person"? That's the #########' director we're talking about, the guy who had a vision for the entire story and what the characters should and should not look like, how intimidating the characters really were etc. Judgement day was more or less a perfect sequel (which I think we all know is INCREDIBLY difficult to pull off considering the reputation of most sequels) but I assume if it were left up to you the antagonist we would have gotten would have been a guy "bigger" and "badder" than Arnold to face off against. Which 1. would have looked absolutely ridiculous and exaggerated for a robot designed for "infiltration" and 2. would have been extremely boring and does not set up any stakes whatsoever "who can punch harder? Throw more lead into the other guy? Look more badass walking from explosions? grrrr"
- Yeah, people think of Arnold, because he was cast for the first freakin' movie!! The original, everybody remembers the first movie much like how everybody remembers the first Shrek or Nightmare on Elm Street or the kid who had to present his powerpoint first in class. That doesn't actually make his performance any more incredible it only makes it more memorable, what is actually incredible is Robert Patrick actually living up to the legend and knocking it out of the park. That is arguably far more impressive, because Arnold Schwarzenegger set a bar, created a standard, and Robert Patrick a guy who people had probably never heard of and possibly never heard from again actually lived up to it, contributing to the memory of a perfect sequel.
- Again, that circles back around to that idea of giving the T-1000 it's time in the limelight, which apparently despite how "big of a Terminator Fan" you are, you don't want that. Let's just see the same T-800 over, and over, and over again playing the same old shtick of being a normal robot with a metal endoskeleton disguised as a guy with big muscles. Over the one literally made of liquid metal, which nobody has ever heard of imagined in such a way. Well that's frankly boring I say.
- Yes we shall see indeed.

I'm sorry, but I think our discussion is over. I only wanted to talk about the possibility of Silent Hill in DbD, as many other people are speculating as well -- but your comments contribute very little to healthy discussion. As I said before, neither proving nor disproving me will change what DLC is coming out next, so to belittle and argue against my theory and try to prove me "wrong" is silly. They'll add whatever they want to the game, because it's their game and their money that they're spending on licenses and development. And I'm sorry that you missed my point about the fact that Paulie Esther is still just a guy who plays DbD, but I will make it more clear -- him being recognized for his contributions to the community and being an extremely active member of the community still does not make his opinion more valid than anyone elses', especially if it is based in personal like or dislike. This goes for anyone of or above his level of fame.
And I am well aware of the reasons that people believe Konami is a bad company, but I personally only boycott gaming companies that are actually bad and unhealthy for the current gaming market and consumers in general.
I agree it is very silly. At the same time though, it's only about as the theory itself that I'm responding to in the first place.
And yeah, it is their money, but guess who gave them their money? The playerbase who is funding them, their prosperity, and their popularity in the first place.

Oh I know it's copied and pasted. That's why I asked that "this" not be put in every Pyramid Head theory thread since this isn't the first time I've seen your post in the few I've seen before. It's also a bit of hyperbole on my part when it comes to your "outrage." I'm just sayin that was a metric butt load of stuff you unloaded on here.
Also, I would hate to think Paulie finds this kind of theory crafting silly since he's practically been posting videos speculating since the announcement that it was a licensed chapter. If I had a dollar for every Candyman video he's made I'd have...like...a couple of dollars, I dunno.
And yes, I am deeply aware of the ######### show that is Konami. As much as I'd hate for them to be given money, I more so want to see Team Silent's hard work be recognized as something iconic. To let Konami muddle the name of Silent Hill with their horrible business ventures is to let all of Team Silent's hard work go to waste.
On a final note, your remark that I should, as you put it, "chew on that" really makes it seem like you're a bit more aggro than ya should be. I'm just asking that ya be a bit considerate when responding to these posts because some people quite enjoy making these little theories during the wait for the big announcement. It's not like I'm calling for your arrest, dude. I would never want to try and indict someone who has such deep connections with the fun police.
Well, I mean yeah, the points are still equally as valid as when I typed them (all happening in the same week) so why RE-type them y'know? That's just more effort than necessary at that point.
I never said Paulie finds the Theory crafting itself silly I was mentioning the fact he specifically called out the Pyramid Head theory in a video. He said 1. he doesn't think it's Pyramid Head and 2. if it was he'd be very disappointed because he has it hyped up in his head that it's something far greater and more significant than Pyramid Head.
And obviously Paulie's word isn't gospel but there's a logic to that which I am echoing. Chapter 16 being hyped as the most important and emotional chapter in the history of DBD and people are going with Pyramid Head? Sorry, but no. It's not like I'm evil guy here, maybe because of the way I'm being blunt about it is hurting some feelins out there, but everybody is excited for Pennywise, or Jason Voorhees, or Candyman, or The Xenomorph, or something. By the twisting of some similar logic, the people saying its pyramid head are raining on the parades of everybody else. That's why I'm here.
Sometimes aggro is necessary to get a point across (more quickly). The point being use your head
And again, I want to make it clear that Pyramid Head is not a bad choice unlike the many naysayers before me (who I only now realize I have temporarily become what I typically despise) who are hating on all kinds of potential candidates, I'm not saying pyramid head can never come to the game. I'm just saying, it's not chapter 16.
At the end of the day nobody knows what it is, so it's whatever.

While Arnold's likeness may be more difficult to obtain, it is still very possible and would benefit the game and company more by having someone like him associated with it. Illfonic has recently obtained his likeness to use as Dutch in their Predator game. And considering how BHVR has worked with StudioCanal in having the endo-skeleton and even Judgement's Day's theme in BHVR that gives more of a possibility to get Arnold to appreciate a company and be willing to work with them. There is no reason they would rather work with Robert Patrick(who's character subjectively does not fit into the game, not just by genre but by ability) as oppose to the far more popular celebrity who's character was just as scary in the original media and does not have the limitations of one set ability.
You are basically saying "Arnold is unrealistic for DBD standards because the maximum they can afford is Bruce Campbell." You don't know a single thing about BHVR's inside budget or their connections at this point in time. They have taken off and grown as a company. You're making a wide variety of assumptions based on the fact that Arnold is such a popular celebrity and saying "X is impossible/unrealistic because I THINK they can't afford it."
There are companies and people that are more willing to work with games than others. Back when they first introduced the Halloween chapter, they were indeed a smaller company with a smaller budget. I mean, that was the first licensed chapter they introduced and they already had some kind of John Carpenter involvement. I also heard somewhere that Jamie Lee Curtis herself didn't care about having her likeness again(although I'm not sure about this not that it matters anyway.) You could argue that they went the cheaper route with Danny Glover, but seeing as he was one of the main guys in the actual SAW video game I could see WHY they choose his character over Eric. Next we know that the original NOES and Robert Englund is a whole different can of worms. If I remember correctly that was more up to the actual license holder of the franchise. They said "2010 NOES, take it or leave it." And lastly I don't know why you mention the Stranger Things duo. They were almost spot-on with their likenesses and they have no reason to actually voice their characters with grunts and pain. They are no Ash Williams.
You're stating the obvious when you say that NetherRealm Studios has a bigger budget than BHVR. Cool, but it still presents the examples/possibilities of a video game company obtaining the likeness rights. Doesn't mean BHVR has a zero percent change of doing the same just because they are a smaller company. There are examples of other media companies obtaining the rights of another franchise character just like a different richer company did before them.
It's not damning evidence at all because you're not an intern at BHVR and you assume that just because "X" is expensive, it's automatically fantasy. You present opinionated arguments and I would say that your character is more in the realm of fantasy since it comes from a realm of non-horror and with a guy that has no intimidation factor to him. You unfortunately have not shown any evidence other than feelings and assumptions based of what you THINK BHVR's budget allows them to reach for. If they really want Arnold they can reach for it, and it may or may not happen. I guarantee that they would not go with licensing anything from Terminator other than a T-800 based of the movie that was the most horror out of all of them.
A T-1000 would be the one not be feasible or plausible lul. I, for one can tell you that they won't go after characters that were in non-horror titles such as Judgement Day. I'm sorry but it just ain't gonna happen. Your lack of creativity does not automatically eliminate the possibility of the most popular character of a franchise in the T-800. I know you really want a T-1000, but if you were even an ounce of a Terminator fan you'd know exactly why he won't be chosen over even an endo-skeleton of the most popular model.
It wouldn't work just based of the movie he was in and how unintimidating and unpopular the model is compared to it's actual horror counterpart that has been licensed by BHVR before. It's simply way more unrealistic. They will NOT be getting the T-1000 as much as I don't want to say that for you.
I don't think OP likes it either, but I'm a huge Terminator fan and I don't like seeing people have unrealistic expectations when it comes to the franchise and and DBD. Or turn down other people requests when it clearly is more possible than something like Willy Wonka in DBD. So I just like to have a conversation. I have seen people say "oh the Demogorgon won't fit cuz he's not human" or "Ghostface wouldn't fit cuz his movies were a parody" blah blah over the years. It's just meh.
I likewise, appreciate the T-1000 and Judgement Day(my favorite film out of the franchise). I just see a-lot more things as to why the game would likely choose a T-800 over it. Many more reasons than you would have against a T-800, shapeshifting is a T-1000's primary shtick which would get countered just like The Thing, Robert is not an intimidating person at all, not as iconic, not horror at all and not even tagged as it, the list can go on and on more so than the actual scary android than everyone is familiar with. Introducing new types of killers is a big step for BHVR. That is why a Xeno would be cool because the more variety the better.
I suppose this conversation has gone on long enough. I am still thoroughly convinced the only character they would go for is the T-800, Whether that will be with Arnold's likeness or not, I simply won't be disappointed. Here is the conclusion that would be beneficial to both of us. We SHALL see in the future who they would go for if they either consider the Terminator franchise in this game. We'll see EXACTLY who's right or wrong. Could be you or I. :)
I was hoping your response would be a shorter more concluding-type thing but after reading through I just feel obligated to retort.
- "Arnold's likeness may be difficult to obtain" is most definitely the wrong word to use here, it's not "may" it is this is an indisputable fact. The guy is worth 400 million and you think he's going to lend out his likeness to any company? Yeah it's still "within the realm of possibility" but "the realm of possibility is a massively broad concept that obviously includes the T-1000 just as much as the T-800, so it's hardly a favorable position to argue. It's like saying "it's possible to find a needle in a haystack" sure, but are you really going to bet on those odds? Absolutely not.
- I am not saying anything of the sort I am using Bruce Campbell as a comparable metric to weigh the likelihood of being able to get Arnold. If Campbell is the biggest name that BHVR currently has attached to the game then it's only fair and reasonable to base other potential future content around the level of name-recognition or popularity. Yes, it is a fact that Bruce Campbell has set a maximum standard for what Dead By Daylight can achieve and how much buying / negotiating power they have. This is not an "I think" statement this is a more than reasonable assessment based on previous evidence.
- Yes, it is possible there is a range around this, obviously this is not a static maximum cap of "we can only work with people worth 10 million dollars" and it is certainly possible they can work with bigger names than Bruce, but again that's painting a broad stroke with a broad brush "within the realm of possibility" that whole statement hinges on a "might" statement which isn't actually reasonable or substantiated logic.
- No, this was confirmed by someone on the dev team themselves Detective Eric Matthews was their original choice and "it didn't work out" was all they said about it. Also have you heard Steve's voice? I remember Bricky once said he sounds like a godd*mn opera singer, and I don't care how good they look if they don't sound the part that's not the character. That's like saying "Morgan Freeman is a character that shows up in X movie / show, but he's voiced by Gilbert Gottfried" (the parrot from f*cking Aladdin)
- Yes, a bigger budget helps negotiate deals. Are you going to dispute that?
- I already explained how I used Bruce Campbell as a "comparable metric" again, my argument is based on as much facts and logic as possible hence why, for example, I took the time to research and explain the net worth of all these individuals. Their net worth is not a matter of "my opinion" that's an actual number written in a bank account statement somewhere in the world. You could say the meat of that comment was dedicated to a kind of statistical analysis of the people that BHVR has worked with in the past, what they have been able to achieve, and how far removed Schwarzenegger is from all of that. Again that is not an "I think statement" that is logical reasoning and judgement.
- Are you really gatekeeping The Terminator fandom? Really?
- He's clearly not unpopular, since again, I'll keep citing Fact Fiend since there's no reason not to, Karl Smallwood loves the T-1000 even more than he loves the T-800 due to expanded universe content beyond the films such as the comics, and other related media. Who's the inferior Terminator Fan now?
- Are you really telling me THIS ISN'T INTIMIDATING?
Fun fact, the entire reason that Robert Patrick got the role of the T-1000 at all was because James Cameron was going through all of the audition tapes and "Robert Patrick was the only one who actually scared me so he got the role" so I call bullsh*t on "Robert Patrick isn't intimidating" because he is, just in a much different way than Arnold would be. I'm sorry, but not even Schwarzenegger can make a face like that, and some random guy on the street gave you that look you would know to steer #########' clear.
and what did he do in his audition? He literally stared into the camera with that level of intensity for 5 minutes.
- Yes, we shall see indeed.

I'm sorry that you believe this "Paulie Esther" to be the "pinnacle" of the DbD community, and that his opinion is fact and should be set in stone.... no offense to him of course, but you do realize he's just a guy who plays DbD, right? He can have his opinion, you can have your opinion, I can have my opinion.... everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Having notoriety doesn't make your opinion any more valid than someone who doesn't, especially when your opinion is based in your own personal feelings, likes and dislikes. And people can have all the opinions they want, but in the end, BHVR will add whomever they want to the game. Plenty of people dislike the thought of Candyman being in the game, but he'll be added to the game if BHVR wants it. Same for Silent Hill.
And if you read my post in full, you would see that it doesn't "just" hinge on the number 4.... I pointed out how many of the things they stated in their anniversary announcement matched up pretty well with Silent Hill! I just put the 4 logo correlation at the end as the cherry on top. Konami is a big company, which means big license, and Silent Hill is a very iconic horror franchise, having inspired the creation of many, many horror games since it's release. But, I'm not going to type it all out again here after I typed it in full on the main post, haha. And like someone else said, the 3 on the 3rd Anniversary announcement looked like the 3 from Scream 3, and it turned out to be Ghostface! I wouldn't dismiss the Silent Hill possibility so easily.
And like I said on other comments as well -- I would really appreciate if people would quit with the Konami thing. I'm rather tired of seeing Internet Justice Warriors call for boycotts on every single company that's bigger than a new 2-man indie game company on Steam.
Well, I wouldn't exactly boil him all the way down to "just a guy who plays DBD" since he is both a content creator whose job it is to cover Dead By Daylight and related news day in and day out and someone who has been doing it alongside playing the game since 2016 so he also has the benefit of a very great amount of experience, which makes him stand out a bit more than just "a guy who plays DBD"
And if that wasn't enough he's also a Fog Whisperer, which is a group of people who have been recognized by the dev team themselves as individuals who have "who have gone above and beyond with their impact on the Dead by Daylight community." (a quote from a community manager / official member of the dev team) So, whether you like it or not, his word does carry a certain amount of weight and influence and there's not much you can do or say to change or dispute that.
I only brought him up as an example because he is a very well-respected and extremely wholesome character in the Dead By Daylight community, so I used him as an example to point out both "toxic people" (which I guess, is me in this situation) who are just wet blankets raining on the parades of others and "wholesome, positive people" can share the same opinion and just go about expressing it in different ways.
And yes, I skimmed your whole post (I might as well have read it in full, even if I wasn't hanging on to your every word) and yes, I read your silly attempt to somehow squeeze "Silent Hill" into the framework of the words the devs said. If you read my original post in full, you would have seen me shoot that notion down completely and utterly.
You also would have read me say that the third anniversary teaser image had NOTHING to do with the chapter, so if I'm forced to repeat myself more blatantly: it had nothing to do with Ghostface. Side by side here is the Scream 3 teaser image:
and here is DBD 3rd anniversary:
Not only does the Ghostface we have have nothing to do with the scream movies or franchise. At all. THESE. LOOK. NOTHING. ALIKE.
Stop drawing comparisons and parallels where they don't exist! You don't have actual empirical evidence, and regardless of whether or not you like my saying that, doesn't change the fact.
And finally going back to the Konami thing, I'm sorry, but I can't change the fact that the company literally soiled and sullied their entire name and brand to the point where now almost nobody wants to support them as a company, so now when everybody thinks "Konami nowadays" they think of the popular phrase: "F*ck Konami" and for good reason. If you don't know about that reason, you should honestly take the time to look it up and see whether or not it impacts your "theory" and I guarantee you it does.

It worries me that people theory crafting makes you so outraged.
I mean, #########, I have contenders I kinda don't want in the game but you are on a whole nother level.
Look, people are just really excited about the upcoming reveal and are hypothesizing off of what they have because it not only kills time but it's *fun.* You coming in and systematically dissecting theories is pretty much throwing a wet blanket on all of that.
I'm not sayin that ya needa stop. I'm sure you're well aware you can do whatever you'd like. I'm just sayin you're bein a, for lack of a cooler sounding phrase, party pooper and it'd be cool if ya just left everyone to speculate instead of putting this in every "Pyramid Head Theory" thread.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk
I want to point out that most of that response was actually me copying and pasting separate comments I've written in the past, the only thing that was new in there was the last sections talking about "relevance".
In all reality I am only as "outraged" as you would think one would be when it comes to theory crafting, which is not very. It's not like I'm going around my house clutching my fists thinking about Silent Hill
Although I stand by my criticisms and critiques which are entirely valid in pointing out this whole theory which hinges on the font of the number 4 is quite frankly dumb. If you don't like my opinion, because it's "toxic" or "the voice of a party pooper" know my opinion is also shared by Paulie Esther, who is very much possibly the most wholesome member of the entire Dead By Daylight community.
The difference is, he's nice enough just to say "I would be disappointed if it was Pyramid head" and leave it as that, whereas I am far more willing to, as you put it: "systematically dissect" and dismember the theory on the spot.

Not just the fear factor, but in terms of being iconic and better from a business/marketing standpoint. You won't see other Terminator models associated with other any other game feature something that's different from a T-800/T-850. Maybe not in Arnold's likeness, although still the same model. Now, if a T-1000 were to copy the T-800 model, then it really wouldn't be a T-1000 at that point then, now would it? It would imitate the same stature and abilities to the T-800, so there's no point to that if you were being serious.
You could say the same thing with ANY killer and even the T-1000, technically. Look for a man in a white mask in the case of Myers or Ghostface, or a buff guy in the Trapper. There is absolutely no reason you would be scared of Robert Patrick making weapons with arms more than a hulking T-800/Arnold Schwarzenegger. We know the concept of survivor imitation would be hard countered by SWFs, and him imitating other killers would make the rest of them obsolete. A T-1000 wouldn't realistically have anything that would make him stand out more than something more iconic to the franchise aka T-800. Again, just add The Thing and give him an ability similar to the T-1000 and watch him become useless. People would associate the T-800 more to the horror movie that he was originally from. An android more powerful than any other killer thus far based on movie feats and the most popular.
The threat was a relentless, remorseless A.I. hunting down a pair like Myers hunts down Laurie. You state your opinion when you say the T-800's abilities wouldn't be adapted well into DBD. There are options in how you could make him work ranging from cybernetic scans, to brute force, to even a lower watt plasma rifle. Lack of creativity is not mutual when it comes to the developers and BHVR. I say that a T-1000 wouldn't fit and wouldn't be adapted well either as a Terminator fan because his abilities would be countered and wouldn't be as frightening.
Yes, please show me examples of the "plethora of application" regarding the T-1000. Something that won't be countered, something that will be scary to make up for Robert's stature compared to Arnold's, and something that won't make him imitate other killers. It doesn't exist man, trust me as a Terminator fan. Shifting and body morphing won't translate well, just look at The Thing concepts.
Both Ash vs Evil Dead and Left4Dead are literally listed as horror.. Ash vs Evil dead being tagged as comedy-horror and Left4Dead being tagged as survival horror. Just like Terminator 1 has a horror tag to it as well unlike T2 which again has none of that. That point is bunkum unfortunately.
You did make yourself clear. You were just incorrect. We don't deal with what-if storylines, we deal with canonically accurate depictions. What if "The Pig" became good was a survivor in DBD? The T-1000 showed no intentions of giving in to deals and reasons at that point in time, it had a primary objective. And correction, the T-1000 COULD become self-aware, and it did not to because it fought to complete its mission till the end. Those "screams" at the end weren't of pain as machines cannot "feel" pain the same way humans do. It was the distorted sounds of a machine glitching out while succumbing to hot temperatures while ultimately perishing. Throw in a singing animatronic into water or lava. You'll still hear the sound of singing, but will distort as it begins to break down, potentially resulting in a sound like screams. Even the T-800 said it registers pain differently, you think an upgraded model wouldn't?
And I'll post my same quote: ""InΒ Terminator 2 Judgement Day, the T-1000 (Patrick) is sent byΒ SkynetΒ back in time to kill a youngΒ John Connor, the future leader of the Human Resistance against Skynet." In yours it says a T-1000 CAN act contrary to Skynet's orders, but here's the thing it never did and clearly refused to. It could've disobeyed Skynet's orders and lived a normal life, but it wouldn't. His objective was John and nothing else. DBD will not retcon this and say he finally went against his orders and went against everything he stood for in T2.
You keep mentioning this point that Arnold Schwarzenegger is far more iconic and better from a marketing perspective, however you fail to consider just how difficult and expensive it would probably be to get a hold of his likeness. (Actually I think you did mention it previously but only passively and very briefly, something you quickly glossed over and never really brought up again so might as well have failed to mention it). This is an absolutely game-changing and indisputable fact in this conversation, Robert Patrick's character not only matches the tone and vision of Dead By Daylight but is simply far easier to get a hold of and make a deal with.
Sure Dead By Daylight has Ash Williams who is a tried and true proven actor of capability and known celebrity. I will stand by Bruce Campbell as an extremely well respected, distinguished actor and it's amazing they actually got a hold of him to voice his own character in Dead By Daylight. However, I don't think it needs to be said that Bruce Campbell is no Arnold Schwarzenegger. The very obvious distinction between the two being their net worth: Bruce Campbell is estimated to be worth 10 million which is absolutely nothing to be sneered at, he is undoubtedly successful, but Schwarzenegger is worth an entire 400 million dollars.
By comparison, Robert Patrick is much more in line with Bruce Campbell's status and level of success, who has a net worth of around 12 million. Just 2 off from Campbell, rather than the difference 390 of Schwarzenegger.
Likewise, DBD has very clearly steered clear of working with high-profile celebrities much like Schwarzenegger, most obviously: they never acquired the likeness for Laurie Strode's actress Jamie Lee Curtis. They couldn't secure Eric Matthews for their Saw chapter played by Donnie Wahlberg so they opted to incorporate Danny Glover's Detective Tapp who died in the first movie of an 8 movie franchise and getting a 9th installment in 2020, they were not able to get Robert Englund who is known worldwide for his role as the original iconic Freddy Krueger instead being forced to settle for the 2010 reboot Freddy played by Jackie Earle Haley, and they could not even get a hold of fresh on the scene actor & actress Joe Keery + Natalia Dyer to voice their characters Steve and Nancy from the popular new series Stranger Things for reasons that are still withheld from us to this day.
You might say "well both the Terminator license and Schwarzenegger likeness were able to come to Mortal Kombat 11 why not DBD?" and the answer to that is also self-evident. Mortal Kombat 11 was developed by NetherRealm Studios and while obviously that company is no Ubisoft or Bethesda, the roots and heritage of that company run deep in the gaming industry all the way back to the first Mortal Kombat released in 1992, and if that weren't enough, guess who owns NetherRealm Studios and Published Mortal Kombat 11? Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment the video game division of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment inc. the entertainment giant worth 5 Billion with a capital "B" dollars dollars. So yeah, I think it's safe to say they have "just a little bit" greater access to a wider range of resources than Behaviour.
This is damning evidence for your side and you know it as well as I do that it may as well be fantasy. And it pains me to speak about DBD in what comes fairly close to a negative light especially that second to last paragraph, but it's just facts. However, it's important to know that even despite this lack of resources Behaviour Interactive have done an incredible job at creating a fun and addicting game, with compelling lore, unique characters that combine elements of both new and familiar content, that is bursting at the seams with creativity in the horror genre.
And that's something I think is important to know and realize, that even despite being an underdog Dead By Daylight has made do with the hand that it was dealt and the characters it could secure in the game. It's done a pretty good job so far. A T-800 may not be feasible or even plausible but a T-1000 (which in my opinion is most certainly deserving of being "the superior model" and is way more scary and cool but I digress) comes pretty damn close. Close to the story that so many fans have come to know and love, the characters, the capability, etc.
And I'll be honest, there's so much more I want to say about the T-1000, how it could work, how it is far more unique an addition to the cast of DBD than the T-800, how the lore could be twisted in such a way that would allow the character to fit properly (you don't think other characters that the DBD community wants doesn't have their own problems or conflicts than lore? Hell, #########' Pennywise one of the most requested killers and we know for a fact Mathieu Cote's [Game Director] dream killer to have in the game technically creates lore problems, since "It" according to the books is a kind of cosmic entity much like the Entity in DBD) however I'm not going to do that. Simply because I would rather at some point reach some kind of compromise or "agree to disagree" instead of perpetually going on and on about two killers that may never see the moon of DBD ever. I also think you know as well as I do that it takes time and energy to write these paragraphs length responses
And I also think that the OP doesn't appreciate the kind of / sort of derailing of this thread we've singlehandedly caused (although The Terminator was mentioned in the poll options, so is it really derailing? Ehhhhhh *tilts hand side to side in "so-so" fashion*)
So let me just say this, while I do have a personal preference for the T-1000 (just watch Fact Fiends youtube videos on it honestly and that would be my whole shpeal) I do think the T-800 is pretty cool, I don't play Mortal Kombat but when I saw gameplay I thought it was super cool and badass. In much the same way that the T-800 was featured as a playable character in Mortal Kombat I'd like to see the T-1000 get its spot in the limelight and I think Dead By Daylight would be the perfect place for it.
Especially considering numerous different factors, from accessibility to the actor, to the versatility and thus various options for a killer power (BEYOND being able to shape-shift into survivors), how it's especially unique from the rest of the DBD cast (Surface level comparison: how many killers do we have that don't wear a mask and their face is in "perfect" / normal condition? The answer to that is more or less zero, excluding the possibility of Candyman in the future), it creates the first Sci Fi Horror chapter for DBD (If the Xenomorph and / or Predator have not made it in by then) and so on and so forth.
And again, there's more I want to say but I'm kind of forcing myself to cut myself off here and create some kind of amicable conclusion to this conversation.

Yea it takes time. I don't mind waiting 6 or more months. I just think there is way to many good designs to just choose 1 from each side.
I wouldn't call it greedy either tbh. They already need to create cosmetics for the game so I thought if they made them and put them into the free rift it would be a good idea.
The contest was amazing and full credit to everyone who competed in it. I just think it's a shame that more aren't chosen, especially since they've already looked at every cosmetic.
Well, that's exactly why it would be greedy. We all know these community creations are first and foremost going to be put into the free track of the rift, "by the people for the people" and all that. Asking the devs to create more cosmetics that are undoubtedly going to be of equal quality to the premium cosmetics we can only get by paying for for free, is in its essence greedy.
Though sure, I will agree conceptually "if they're making cosmetics for the game, why not have more community influence" and yeah it's a bit of a shame such great ideas aren't making it in, but at the same time this contest is very new and I'm more than confident later down the line the devs will be looking at more ways to involve the community in the creative process of their work.
Hell, if they made a contest for written IDEAS, like backstory for killer, power for killer, backstory for survivor, new game-mechanic, new balance change, etc. I would be all over that, since unfortunately I'm not the best at drawing out there.

I don't think you'd do disservice to either. Sure, Robert Patrick's performance was great but so was Arnold's. Think about it from a fan's perspective and a business standpoint. The T-800 would be the one that fills the spot as your typical, not to mention iconic, robot/android throughout media. Do more people know the T-800 or the T-1000 from first glance? Arnold or Robert? As Kyle mentioned in the first movie, the Terminator feels no pity or remorse or fear. It will stop at nothing until you are dead. That is where the horror aspect of the Terminator first began, not from the movie sequel that came like 6-7 years after. Not to mention this iconic scene:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSXl_XKXZAI&t=325s
Terminator 2 was vastly regarded and labeled as a sci-fi action movie. Terminator 1 was considered and labeled by majority to be sci-fi horror due to its vast plot similarities to Halloween. In fact, if you type in "Terminator genre" on Google, one of the tags is horror as oppose to "Terminator 2 genre" which won't have any of that. Granted, there are sites that don't list the tag such as Wikipedia or IMDB which can be sometimes edited by fans, they usually list the primary tags. Same with Predator that people requested a lot before Hunting Grounds was a thing. When a movie doesn't have anything to back up it's tie to a specific genre or a majority of people who would agree on it, then it's simply not that genre.
It wouldn't disqualify it since it's based on opinion. You first disqualified the T-800 and I retorted with why I thought your opinion is wrong in accordance to my own. I don't think a small guy who has similar powers to The Thing would be as scary as a hulking bodybuilder with maybe have his face torn off exposing a robotic endoskeleton(you see how it can go both ways based on opinion?). Cuz why not just add The Thing itself? In fact, I would say Terminator Salvation has more horror elements to it than Judgement Day. This is more horror to me than anything from T2, now imagine comparing T2 to T1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFvZwA_G2io&t=65s
No, I don't consider that T2 scene horror because the movie itself isn't horror or even in the vein of it. Other people might agree that it has horror ELEMENTS in it, but that's not nearly enough to qualify it as an official horror. Some cartoons have "scary" characters, does that mean they could be added? No, just like I don't think any "villain" other than a T-800 would fit that criteria or be iconic enough. Schwarzenegger is far more associated with the franchise and is also considered to be a horror villian(T1). That is more than enough for BHVR to consider him over a T-1000 which wouldn't sell nearly as well or be as recognizable. There is a reason why MK11 chose Arnold over something like a Rev-9 or T-1000, and no, it was not just because of Dark Fate/promotion for it.
Btw also from the Wiki:
"InΒ Terminator 2 Judgement Day, the T-1000 (Patrick) is sent byΒ SkynetΒ back in time to kill a youngΒ John Connor, the future leader of the Human Resistance against Skynet. The T-1000 ambushes aΒ Los Angeles Police Department police officer on arrival andΒ takes on his identity, tracking down John Connor through the police cruiser's on-board computer and eventually confronting him in a shopping mall. As it prepares to kill John, a T-800 Model 101 sent by the Resistance to protect John shows up to engage it. Following a brief scuffle and a lengthy car chase, the T-800 and John escape from the T-1000. It returns to John's foster home and takes the place of his foster mother, Janelle Voight, intending to wait for John to return, but John calls ahead and the T-800 is able to confirm that the T-1000 has infiltrated the house when it incorrectly names John's dog."
It says so in the same Wiki that its primary focus was to kill a young John. We've canonically never seen the T-1000 making it's own decisions because it always followed the order Skynet gave it anyway. For what we've seen, it has no reason to comply with an entity to go after other survivors. What will it get in return? A promise of a young John Connor handed to him on a silver platter? Having a T-1000 chase someone like Sarah would be essentially retconning the lore of the T-1000 to what its original purpose was in T2.
For starters, yeah I'll relent that fear is an often subjective topic and you might find more fear in the hulking Austrian Oak himself than I do, although I want to clarify that part of the reason that the T-1000 is objectively more scary than the T-800 is because of it's capabilities. Specifically that to transform at will into basically anything, if it wanted to it could match the exact figure and stature of Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, all of a sudden my fear is now your fear too.
Put another way If you're being chased by a T-800 all you have to look for is a really buff bodybuilder type guys walking around because that's their default model, you know what's after you, what to look out for and perhaps how to stop it. However, on the other hand if you're being chased by a T-1000 you have to be on the lookout for anything and everything. The fact that you can walk into an empty bare-bones room with absolutely nothing in it and still be not 100% certain that there isn't a Terminator in the room with you is arguably more terrifying because there's nothing you can do about that. When you realize you can't even trust the floor you stand on, the walls around you, or the ceiling above you, that's basically adding an extremely intense psychological horror aspect to the character. Made all the more intense since it's not just your environment but the people around you as well you can't trust anyone or anything and that's literally the definition of Paranoia.
While I will agree that the first clip you showed was definitely in line with horror theme of Dead By Daylight, you have to think about that given a Dead By Daylight context. Was there really any threat there in that clip? How could that be adapted to DBD? These are the questions you have to ask yourself and the answers to them aren't very encouraging. It was honestly half a terminator with an arm slowly crawling after an already terrified Sarah Connor who was by that point exhausted and worn because of her experiences over the course of the film.
Whereas the scene I provided has creates a plethora of application, what can you do with shape shifting and body morphing? Literally anything, the possibilities are literally endless, and I would hope I don't need to come up with examples to illustrate my point, it is quite honestly the most self-evident thing in this conversation.
And again with the genre thing, I'll say it again you can't realistically disqualify Terminator simply because of the aforementioned examples of Ash Williams from Ash Vs. Evil Dead and Bill Overbeck from Left4Dead they are about as far removed from horror as the Terminator Franchise. Much like how you yourself said, "stories with horror elements but not nearly enough to qualify it as an official horror." (Side track, completely off base, I have repeated this exact line of logic or something very similar previously in a completely different conversation before, so it was really weird to read the same logic I myself have used in the past against me. It has nothing to do with my point or your point, I just thought I'd mention it because it was a bit of a crazy Deja Vu moment.)
And back to the lore, I must have not made myself clear enough when I was talking about "self-preservation" and "torture victims cruelly". If the 1000 series was caught much like many of the other killers in Dead By Daylight, the entity would threaten and back up those threats with intense torture and potentially death. Seeing as how the 1000 series was advanced enough to become self-aware (hence why it was discontinued and why Skynet feared it) and act with self-preservation in mind, not to preserve it's "life" because it is a robot but to preserve its very existence. We also know from its screams when it died in T2 that it has some concept of pain, which means the entity can and would torture it like many of its killers for eternity (since time doesn't really exist in the realm of the entity, so eternity might be pretty close) until it complied.
and again I'll just put the same quote here: "The molecular brain grants the T-1000 advanced reasoning capabilities,Β emotionsΒ such as humor, and even self-awareness. As a result, a T-1000 can make its own decisions contrary to that of Skynet." So it is confirmed it can act contrary to it's original programming.

Stop
It's not, It's just not.
I swear to God if anybody ever even mentions the fact that the number "4" is shaped like Pyramid Head I'm going to lose it. OF COURSE IT IS It's the FOURTH anniversary aka theΒ number Four. The devs can't change how the f*ck numbers or time works I could have told you that the number 4 looks kind of like Pyramid head four years ago and it would be utterly meaningless. That is purely coincidental, that's not actual evidence.
I mean seriously "The number four has a triangle in it... Pyramids are made of triangles... OHMYGODIT'SPYRAMIDHEAD"
That sh*t is conspiracy on the level of drawing triangles everywhere and saying "illuminati confirmed"
It isΒ stylizedΒ in the form appropriate for a horror game / thematic. There is nothing more to read into that image, because if the 4 had significance than that means the whole image would require significance, what does the color pallete mean, why did they choose black and gold? Where is the connection of Gold to the Silent Hill franchise? What does the Skull mean? Why is there a black liquid oozing from the skull? How is that connected to Silent Hill? and so on and so on.
By this logic you'd also have to contend with Candyman as a potential candidate, based off the image alone. You don't have to change the number 4 that much if at all to draw comparisons to Pyramid Head, in fact I'd say it'd be basically impossible to draw the number 4 without looking like a side profile of pyramid head that's why I say it's completely coincidental. However, the decision to drag out the last line of the number 4 all the way down to the bottom of the image slowly getting thinner and thinner is a deliberate art choice made by whoever on the team was responsible for creating the art.
It almost looks like it's dripping, and what is gold and drips slowly like that? Honey. What killer is connected to Honey? How about The Candyman who was coated in the stuff and burned alive. That and considering the repeated use of the gold color spattered and speckled across the entire image I'd say you would have a stronger case for Candyman than Pyramid Head.
If I was a betting man I would be putting my money on Candyman considering all of those were deliberate art choices the team had to go out of their way to create making them much more likely to be hints. Whereas almost any 4 you could draw would at least look similar to the image of a side profile of pyramid head.
However, I don't put stock into either theory because it's just a teaser image for the 4th year anniversary, there are likely no "clues" or secret "hints" to find there, that would be far too predictable and easy to puzzle out. It's not like the third year anniversary teaser with the blood spatters making a three had any connection to the nearest chapter that was going to be released then at the time (Which I believe was Ghostface if I remember correctly)
And to put a serious dent in your it is "iconic in the world of horror since it's release" and "classic" argument, (which was partly based on Wikipedia of all things, really? Wikipedia is 50% of your sources? The one source that every english class ever tells you not to cite??) it is frankly not. "The world of horror" as a whole is far older than video games, and to be quite frank the video game industry is still very, VERY much new and pales in comparison to the much older and established industry of Film and TV who reach audiences at a far more expansive level and far wider range beyond even the most popular video games.
The characters that are most well recognized in terms of horror but just generally in all things are the ones that are shown on the big screen, people who aren't gamers are not going to know who Pyramid Head is. Hell, I'm a gamer and I'm not interested in Konami or the Silent Hill franchise though I've heard about it. Making such an announcement would only be interesting to a select audiences ears and nobody else, but those same people would on the other hand recognize the bad-ass Xenomorph, or super creepy Pennywise the dancing clown, or the Predator, or Pinhead, Candyman, literally anybody else. There's a very large difference between what's recognizeable to horror fans and the general public at large- Pyramid head is not recognizeable at all to the latter and even for the former you'd have to specify and boil down to horror fans who play video games which is an even smaller and more specific demographic.
Can Pyramid Head ever make it into the game? Absolutely, and he'd probably be super dope and creepy too. But for this chapter? The one that has been hyped up as the singlehandedly most important and emotional chapter in the history of Dead By Daylight TO DATE? Hell no. If that were actually true I and I assume very, very, very many other people would be incredibly disappointed.

Lol what do you mean this is definitely a non-negotiable thing since it was a contest the developers set up themselves. Of course everybody wants more but it takes time for the devs to actually make these cosmetics into a reality in game.
It's fine the way it is right now. It seems a bit greedy to ask for even more when already the contest is such a great thing all by itself
And you have to keep in mind that even though not everybody's idea can be selected to be put in game, the contest alone is an absolutely massive wealth of ideas and a huge resource of inspiration for the devs to use not just for what can be created but to see what kinds of things people want in game. So even if a cosmetic isn't recreated to a T exactly in detail, something of a similar theme might come down the line.

I'm going to disagree, and say that a T-800 does fit into DBD if they want it to. The game is all about introducing new things and new unique concepts, an example being the Demogorgon. The first non-human killer who opened the door to other ones such as the highly requested Xenomorph, which back in the day, people argued heavily against it. And even today they still do, although it would be vastly different to most of the killers on the roster and Sci-fi-horror chapters won't stop that. An android(yes, James Cameron, an android not a cyborg lol) like the T-800 would do what the Demogorgon did. Create uniqueness and a new variation.
You mention how the T-800's whole shtick is using lethal weaponry and that it won't fit the pace of DBD. But I would also disagree and say that he doesn't need to have that kind of power to be scary or to remain true to the character as shown in the films. People would associate that kind of thing more to Judgment Day and Rise of the Machines where it gets reasonably more action and loses its horror aspect. How intimidating was it to see a lumbering, weaponless T-800 coming after Sarah and Kyle in the first film just as the endo-skeleton and busting through a steel door, or chasing them in the Tech-Noir alleyway? Personally reminded me of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode and remains one of the most, if not the most, iconic scene of T1 to this day. Or how a bare-handed, intimidating/hulking T-800 came after John Connor and Marcus in Salvation? Or heck, even in Genisys when it battles another older T-800 model in the opening scene and then comes after Kyle later on. The Arnold-bot is fully capable of remaining iconic and true to it's nature without lethal stuff. It's like saying a Xenomorph's core aspects and fear factor would removed if it couldn't climb and scale walls, although Alien Isolation proved that to be completely wrong. Then again, if that REALLY is a big problem for the T-800 there is always a lower-watt plasma rifle that you could give him(which I don't agree with).
While a T-1000 sounds cool in theory, there are slight problems. Firstly, Judgement Day isn't considered horror by any stretch. That movie is where the Terminator franchise started to move towards complete action-scifi rather than the original which was more in the scifi/horror/action area. Moving on from that, there is a bit of a lore issue with the T-1000. He was specifically made to terminate a YOUNG John Connor and prevent him from becoming the leader of the Resistance in the first place. T-1000's cannot be reprogrammed, not even by Skynet (which was a reason they feared them.) It's kinda the reason why the T-1000 was sent back in 2029 just before the Resistance defeated Skynet. There would be no reason for it to go after an adult John Connor seen in the opening of T2, and therefore it would not include a survivor. It just would not feel natural to have a T-1000 roaming around and going against it's mission unlike a T-800 who has been programmed to be either "good"(T2,T3) or "evil" (T1, Salvation, or the model from Genisys).
At the end of the day, the face of the franchise will always be Arnold/the T-800. It would draw in more people and the matter of him fitting or not is opinion-based. As a fan of Terminator, I say they can easily make him fit better than any other Terminator model.
:/
Sure Arnold is the face of the Terminator franchise I won't deny that, but at the same time I think you doing a huge disservice to both the character and the insane amount of effort shown in Robert Patrick's performance as a cold calculating machine. Robert Patrick demonstrated his idea for how the T-1000 would move, based on the slow, deliberate, stalking movement of his Terminator on predators in nature. That's not only attention to detail on part of the actor, but that is very clearly Dead By Daylight type sh*t right there.
Both Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day are classified as Action / Sci Fi movies so let's not kid ourselves, Terminator 1 isn't exactly horror either. And I mean that doesn't necessarily disqualify either of them, Ash Vs. Evil Dead the show is nowhere near the "horror" movie the original 1981's The Evil Dead was it's classified as "Supernatural" on google and much like the sequels that followed the original, with plenty of action and far many more elements of comedy than anything else. Likewise Left 4 Dead is all about shooting zombies down with guns so we can argue what qualifies for Dead By Daylight and what doesn't all day.
What I am saying though is that if you were to disqualify the T-1000 on the basis of genre you would by the exact same logic be disqualifying the T-800 as well. The reason I emphasize the T-1000 is because his abilities are very clearly far more "horrifying" than that of the former model, you can't honestly tell me that a bare fisted Arnold Schwarzenegger running you down is anywhere near the same level of terror of a guy who literally has knives the size of his forearms.
And sure you can call me out and say "what, a body builder isn't scary? Schwarzenegger could literally kick your as* into next #########' week" yeah, sure, but that's very much outward fear that you just described that "hulking, intimidating" figure. What I love about the T-1000 is that it makes no attempt to be Arnold Schwarzenegger it's something else entirely. It's a far more quiet, silent kind of intimidating which is already by itself far more unique especially for the role that Robert Patrick needed to live up to and far more suited to Dead By Daylight.
Which in turn, create incredibly terrifying moments like these:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovq9xOQNamkIf that's not horror I don't know what is. I think that clip all by itself proves why the T-1000 is better for DBD than anything else in the Terminator universe regardless of how iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger is it's not about the faces and celebrities, it's about the game and the characters. There is nothing that the T-800 can do that lives up to that kind of standard in regards to horror.
P.S. If you want to talk about lore read this little fun fact from the wiki: "The molecular brain grants the T-1000 advanced reasoning capabilities,Β emotionsΒ such as humor, and even self-awareness. As a result, a T-1000 can make its own decisions contrary to that of Skynet." and it clearly does have a sense of self-preservation since those words were also exactly used in the wiki:
"emergency camouflage programming would manifest itself as a malfunction or glitch when a T-1000 was critically damaged. The T-1000 that fought with Sarah Connor displayed this glitch in the steel mill. Having been frozen by liquid nitrogen and shattered, the T-1000 reformed from the intense heat in the mill and began to involuntarily mimic and stick to floor coverings and other objects it came into physical contact with due to its molecules undergoing self-preservation."
So I think being kidnapped and stuck in the realm of the entity would eventually give the 1000 series a reason to comply with the wishes of the entity given that the entity is known to torture it's victims cruelly in the first place.

Actually you are right now I can see it clear but if you look in the games lobby it's quite different. Anyway this is not a big deal
Yeah, in the game's lobby it's even smaller, grainier, and harder to see than an HD image that's about the only difference. Lol
But you are right it is a small detail nonetheless, unlike Quentin's whole freakin' face. I just wanted to make sure you knew it was accurate and the devs did their part when researching what the character wears in the movie and such

Yeah I know that, I meant you can see in the game that it's the same cross. It's small, but I'm 90% certain it is the actual cross, it's not an axe. EDIT: I'm 100% certain.
It's a bit hard to find close-up images of Quentin, since he doesn't have any alternate cosmetic options but here is the best one I found which you can definitely tell it's a cross if you really lean close, the only difference is it's not a regular cross made of two rectangles like the artwork you posted, it's stylized.
It looks a bit like this one, though obviously they're not the exact same the handle / bottom piece doesn't have that flair midway, but it was the closest I could find on a quick google images search.

To be honest I joined the community 1 month ago so I didn't know... Also I have watched only one Nightmare on elm street movie and this is the remake. Now that I see the game's face with the normal, oh I just can't πQuentin looks like he uses ######### for facemask. He is so beautiful at the real life! Also about Quentin I would like to see this change: Make his axe from his necklace a cross. In the movie he wares a cross and not a necklace with axe
Alright fair enough, but it's good that you know now so you can help push and join the movement of basically everyone who wants to see Quentin's face changed. Hell, even the actual actor himself Kyle Gallner got wind of the discontent surrounding the model of his character and he sent a tweet to the dev team about it, basically giving permission to use his likeness and then Mathieu Cote (Game Director of Dead By Daylight) actually sent a ######### response too
and that was forever ago.
Also, axe? I'm fairly certain it is a cross, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I like the idea of an android in DBD. Maybe the Terminator T-800 based on the first horror movie would come to the game in the future. Although unlike Deathgarden, I would hope BHVR would try to go all out and also get Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign off on his likeness (endo-skeleton could be cosmetic or ability). Kinda like what happened with MK11 and Predator Hunting Grounds recently. After Bruce Campbell, working with another celebrity like him would look very good for the game.
I actually had a really great idea just a couple weeks ago that I don't think I've heard anyone else say yet so I've been pretty excited to share it with the community (I'll probably make a thread about it in the future).
The T-800 while cool and iconic, doesn't exactly fit into DBD. I like the recognition for such an iconic character, and Dead By Daylight hasn't included any Sci-Fi horror chapters to date (Stranger Things doesn't count. Change my mind) At least until they inevitably (hopefully) put in the Xenomorph & / or The Predator, but even then a killer who is a robot / android would be incredibly unique to have on the roster. Albeit if it doesn't cause any issues with the lore (which some people would probably say it might) although with the introduction of the Demogorgon which was a massive landmark for DBD throwing the restriction of "all killers are human" out the window, I think that's enough of a gray area to at least allow the consideration of such an addition.
Now all that being said circling back to my initial statement, the T-800 doesn't exactly fit into Dead By Daylight. Reason being his whole shtick is using machine guns, grenades, from giant miniguns, to pistols, bullets, explosions, yadda yadda yadda. Not exactly Dead By Daylight's pace or style, and never something that I think we could ever reasonably expect to see in game. If that's the case, the T-800 should hardly even make an appearance then, because you'd be stripping away some pretty core aspects of the character.
However, the T-800 isn't the only Terminator out there. Cue the revelation and light bulb switches, that is right, I am not talking about including the T-800 I am talking about the terminator that even Skynet is afraid of: the T-1000.
I mean just think about it, it fits not only so much better than the 800 series, but it actually fits Dead By Daylight and on top of that even fulfills a request the community has made since basically 2016. Unlike previous versions of the terminator, the 1000 series is "made entirely out of a liquid metal ... meaning it can reform into any shape it touches" AKA it is capable of shape shifting. It can morph its arms into blades, spikes, or hooks, far more akin to something you might see in Dead By Daylight and it can impersonate other people. A killer who can shape-shift into the survivors is something the community has wanted for ages, (and its also something I think the devs said they wouldn't do, but that's besides the point)
Although that being said, if the devs ever did figure out the tech to create a killer that could shape shift into survivors, I wouldn't want that ability to go toward the T-1000 I would much rather see that go toward John Carpenter's The Thing which is an incredible Sci-Fi Horror movie and had a huge influence on the horror genre in film. Arguably far more terrifying a killer due to its grotesque and animalistic nature, with much more of a fear factor than the calculated T-1000. Although I will say that intense cold stare will give you the chills
Now that said I think that's a pretty compelling case for the T-1000 honestly, even if it couldn't morph into the survivors the 1000 series could do so much more, there is a vast amount of source material BHVR could pull from to come up with a different ability considering it's shape shifting powers go well beyond being able to impersonate human beings unlike The Thing which is an organic alien, the 1000 series can mimic inanimate objects, split it's body apart and still be functional at long distances operating separately from the main mass, and even form additional limbs. The T-1000 is extremely versatile in what it can do with it's liquid metal body, so there's no limit to what creative ideas you could come up with.
And for fun here's a video on the T-1000 from Fact Fiend and just imagine the wide range of application there could be, given a Dead By Daylight context:

Wait! Do they want to rework Quentin's face? Omgππππ
EVERYBODY wants Quentin's face reworked it's been a community request for years, have you seen it? Have you ever watched the Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 remake?? The ugly face of whatever vile creature is in Dead By Daylight as a survivor is not ######### Quentin. It's literally Quentin if he was doing a sh*t ton of crack, cocaine, heroin, and was taking prescription drugs at the same time
I heard they addressed it on stream for the first time but I'll be honest I missed that part of the stream
And to be fair, a few other characters could also see their models updated as well, but Quentin's sticks out the most

yes, thats a great idea! to sell whatever you dobt want and earn bloodpoints! You can say this in feedbacks I want to believe that they will like this idea!
They do like this idea, it's not a new one and it is something that they've heard suggestions of from the community before. The only reason is it's not in the game is because it's one of the "backburner ideas" things that could be really really cool to have, but are not current on the workbench of things they're doing right now because "priorities".
Other "backburner ideas" (which also may or may not have received comments on from the devs)
-The aforementioned "bloodpoint economy" + crafting system (selling items, add-ons, offerings, for bloodpoints, combining items for higher tier items / crafting materials to create specific items, offerings, add-ons etc.)
-Quentin Face Rework
-Steve Harrington voice over starring Joe Keery himself
-New / Updated animations (perk specific ones like for brutal Strength, unique animations for survivors holding / using items, new mori animations, updating old mori animations [trapper / wraith])
-Graphical updates / improvement / overhaul
-New practical emotes for the benefit of solo survivor communication (work on this generator, save X survivor, etc.)
-Individual player stats / potential global leaderboard (Most used killer, most used survivor, how many escapes, how many 4k's, how many times you've used an ability, etc.)
-etc.
There are probably a few others I'm missing but just for reference.
-
Nerf for the Doctor is absolutely not necessary. People find he might be annoying because "herp a derp, cancels stealth = not fun" but you also need to realize that beyond that it takes a decent amount of skill to actually use the doctor. I know because I suck using him (or maybe it's just the fact I haven't played in awhile, or that it's a real ######### to play a new killer in high ranks)
In order to use his power effectively to "cancel pallets, windows, etc." you need to time the stun properly and be aware of not only how long the stun actually lasts (survivors are put on a cooldown of 2.5 seconds), but also the precious centiseconds it takes for the ability to actually take effect because there's a window of time between when the shock goes through the ground and when the survivor actually gets shocked. If the shock hits the survivor at more or less the same time they drop the pallet, the system is going to prioritize the pallet drop over the shock. You need to be aware of the slow where Doc moves at 3.08 m/s (77%) which will put you farther back in a loop while charging, you need to be aware of time it takes to actually charge a shock itself (1s), you need to be aware of the distance between you and the survivor, the survivor and the pallet, whether or not they are going to drop the pallet early or not, etc.
And obviously people don't actually think about all the minute details in the moment they just "get a feel for it" more or less, practice makes perfect and all that. However it just goes to show how many factors go into actually using the doctor's power effectively and if you don't perform all of this more or less perfectly and flawlessly, not only are you the perfect example of an m1 killer, you're actually extending your chases longer than they would normally for an m1 killer because you're wasting time slowing down to shock survivors. Which means you're actually at a higher risk of performing worse than with many other killers.
Besides, whether or not the Doctor needs a nerf / rework or doesn't need a nerf / rework doesn't change the fact he's already had one (rework) in the recent past and a pretty significant one at that. A lot of effort went into that patch and it clearly shows, the Doctor is in a much better state than he was before the rework went through. There are other killers who need more attention than the Doctor right now AKA The Clown, Probably the Legion, The Pig, The Plague, basically killers who haven't had attention in a much longer time. That's where the devs need their focus to be. Especially the Clown, which by the way the devs confirmed is the killer they currently have their eyes on and are working on to buff / rework / improve in their most recent Q&A which is really good news to hear.

It's cool to see the terminator show up in a poll, people don't realize it but the exoskeleton of the Terminator actually showed up as a playable skin in BHVR's (unfortunately) failed DeathGarden which combined elements of Dead By Daylight and shooter games.
So technically, BHVR as a company, have worked with whoever owns the terminator license before, it's possible they could work with them again. Not saying they should or even that they would, I'm just saying, it's hypothetically possible.
But yeah no, I'm still waiting on Candyman, Pennywise, Pinhead, like everyone else. And then after those big three the Xenomorph, Predator, and less likely but "hey here's hoping": Jason and Chucky.

That ending is kind of a good explanation for why some survivors are bad at looping even if their character has been released for a long time, like a new Nea compared to a god Nea who can loop the killer for 5 gens
Lol, I never thought of it like that but good point

@Feiten Listen, I hate F13 the game and its fanboys as much as anybody else, I still remember a time when they all gloatingly came to the Dead By Daylight Steam forums (because the ones we are on now did not exist yet) and all repeated the same tired line "F13 iS gOnNa KiLl DbD!! CaN't WaIt FoR tHiS Sh*tTy gAmE tO DiE hEhE" and then karmic justice rang out a beautiful song as the game released with really bad issues from their dedicated servers and reviews on release paled in comparison to the reviews DBD got on release as it turned out the game kinda sucked. And then it got a little better with the continued support they got, but the final nail in the coffin slammed it shut sealing the game's fate through a lawsuit and people realized F13 would never kill Dead By Daylight. It was here before and it would still be here after that game's lifetime ran out.
DBD was an indie game and a relative unknown before it released, and then on release it blew up vastly bigger than the people who enjoyed it and even bigger than the devs expected. Way bigger like, selling all the copies they expected to sell in the entire lifetime of the game in under a year, and continuing to grow for years and years beyond bigger. Dead by Daylight was kind of an underdog not gonna lie, and then here came F13 with all its backers and hype months before release that Dead By Daylight never had the benefit of. It was extremely satisfying to see DBD come out on top with it's unique art design, lore, characters, over a well known and reputable franchise that has had the benefit of decades to build up a solid fanbase and reputation. To see DBD outlast (pun? maybe..) F13 and all its pesky and annoying fanboys was nothing short of incredible.
However,
Even you can't deny that Jason is in fact a cultural icon and a widely known in many parts of the globe. Ignoring the rise and fall of "F13: The Game" this character himself has captivated the fears of audiences for literal decades right alongside the faces old and new we see in Dead By Daylight now: Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Ghostface and likely many more to come. Dead By Daylight is the amalgamation of all kinds of horror stories and a true revival of the slasher genre, it's basically the Super Smash Bros Ultimate of horror. It would be a huge disservice both to the game, and to the genre it hails from that it seeks to praise to not include what is basically a figurehead of horror. To willingly and knowingly pass up even the smallest chance, the slightest possibility to add what is basically a legend to the ranks of characters that populate the game.
And yeah, Trapper is great. I love that there's a significant chunk of the community that continues to voice the support of the devs to continue to come up with their own new, unique, and original stories. To see that the characters they've made that were inspired by the very licenses they have access to now, have gone above and beyond to stand on their two legs is crazy. But that's just it, they do stand on their own two legs no longer is it "Trapper was meant to fill the role of Jason because we would never even dare to dream of securing that character" it's "Trapper is the face of Dead By Daylight, a popular and successful 4 v 1 asymmetrical horror multiplayer game". Trapper is his own character, with his own unique backstory and lore, he is not Jason. It's important to remember your origins and where you came from and yeah, it's no secret Trapper was inspired by the character. But with the success of Dead By Daylight he has stepped out of his predecessors shadow spawning all kinds of artwork, cosplay, and general love for the character. Hell, he even won the "Canadian Video Game Award for 'Best New Character' - 2016" I don't honestly know how significant that is in the circles of the industry especially since I don't live in Canada but hey, it was big for the dev team especially at the time.
Trapper isn't Jason nor does he only "fit the role of Jason" he has gone beyond that. He serves a greater purpose and holds a greater significance to the game now. They both deserve to be in to be perfectly honest, and I think that's perfectly reasonable. Time and time again the devs have defied the naysayers of the community who at one point in time vehemently opposed Ghostface saying things like "he's just a normal human, what kind of power would he even have?" a sentiment that sounds very similar to the rhetoric you yourself seem to be so keen on (the idea that Jason can't have a unique power). Yet the devs themselves proved their creativity and their capability and here Ghostface is and not only that but he is a genuinely viable and strong killer to play. Might as well be a spit in the face of anyone who ever doubted the possibility of which there were several. Jason's history is long and spans several films more than Ghostface so it's not like there is no source material to work from there's plenty to think of.
Here's an idea that I don't think anyone on this thread has said yet:
Jason's power would have something to do with a thick fog (thicker and far more dense than what exists in the trial naturally). Something that spans a large area and surrounds him that making it difficult to see farther than a few meters when inside it (of course not for the killer). Survivors that are inside this fog suffer from blindness and become oblivious. And now clearly that's not a full power all by itself but there's obviously more room to do things with this ability to flesh it out. Maybe he throws it out to cover entire areas, maybe there's a second part to that power which he can activate to make it a global effect covering the entire map in this extremely thick fog, and during this time he can teleport. Since nobody can see anything he can teleport anywhere (as long as it's not right on top of a survivor).
The point is it's a power tailored to the character specifically that is indeed unique to the character, and that's just me some random wacko community member who's taken the time to literally type paragraphs of what may or may not be complete nonsense depending on what is released in chapter 16. But it does prove one thing: which is that it's possible. So quit with your own nonsense that's it's not because it clearly can be done.
At the end of the day, at least my own personal distaste for F13 and preference for DBD and its unique combination of original and licensed content was in no small part due to the silly and stupid rivalry between the communities of F13 and DBD. And to his credit Riley wasn't wrong that we can enjoy all these games because that's just what we should do as horror fans. So for me anyway, I'm taking off the crusader helmet because that battle is over and in a sense "we won" F13 the game is basically gone at this point. But there's no need to add insult to injury and refuse / bar access to fans who are looking for a similar and arguably better experience and want the same for a character that they care about so he can live on so to speak. Something that F13 the game could never offer them. So now I welcome F13 its "pesky annoying fanboys" to Dead By Daylight and Jason with open arms.
I have no idea why I wrote all this. Though at the same time I mean, it's not like I've got anything better to do given the circumstances..

No one Left Behind is a completely obsolete perk and its function is more or less completely useless because of how niche it is. Even as a BP bonus perk it only activates at the very tail end of a match which tops is three minutes.
If you're looking for a similar perk to run We'll Make It is 10x better, more reliable, more consistent, and it helps you throughout the entirety of a match.
This is one of those old perks from 2016 that has not aged well at all (especially with the EGC) and needs a complete rework. Buffing stats doesn't change the fact it doesn't help you for 90% of the match and is woefully ineffective for the other 10%. However, I'm not a fan of mixing and matching perks together, which it appears is something OP tried to push forward through the poll options, that just doesn't seem like a good idea for the sake of perk diversity. I don't want actual good or somewhat decent perks like Hope, or Borrowed Time to be thrown under the bus because of the perk that hasn't been updated for almost four years now.

I'm fairly certain there are more ways to create unique powers for killers beyond "stealthy boi, ranged boi, speedy boi, and brutal boi"
That sounds like a super over simplification of what we have in the game right now, and what we could potentially see in the future.

I'm gonna go prematurely against the grain and say Ash Vs. Evil Dead, I'll be honest I had some idea of who Ash was, some guy with an air of confidence who's got a chainsaw strapped to his arm and a sawed off shotgun in his free hand, but I never watched any of the movies or the show up until that point. But when he showed up in Dead By Daylight I was infinitely more curious so I watched the show and some clips of the movies that came before it and it's up there on some of my favorite shows I've watched. It's so sad the third season was cancelled and Bruce Campbell said he'd never come back to the character again
But I mean, come on, how is this not badass:

scream, even though yes i know its been said a million times that this ghostface isnt the one from scream i know, but then again freddy isnt the freddy from the originals
If Scream was an option I definitely would have voted for Scream though, it was what got me into slasher films and horror to begin with. The MTV series was actually really, good imo and I wish they had continued the original story for a third season.

A DEAD GAME!

Quentin and Freddy came from the 2010 remake.
I believe they chose this movie because it was more focused on horror rather then comedy.
They didn't choose it, they were forced to nobody understands this apparently. The dev team did not have a choice. It was apparently a "take-it-or-leave-it" situation the rights to old Freddy literally just, don't exist. They were overwritten when the remake was made
Something like that

Yeah the second one is kind of what I was thinking, though slightly different. The movie Triangle displays it where theres a chick, shes trying to save her past self from her future self. Its super interesting stuff. Anytime youre dealing with something that sits outside our own dimension Time becomes a funny thing. They should make it cannon that the entity sometimes manipulates time to put the same survivor through the same trial as extra punishment.
It could be a simple short story too, maybe Jeff stopped fearing the trials so tge entity made him experience 1 trial 4 tines all at tge same time to bring his fear back. Something like that.@Seiko300
I think it also provides an extra layer to the twisted nature of the trials. Because in that situation, you're sitting next to yourself on a generator (which all by itself is crazy) but then he gets caught and you go hide and he gets hooked. Do you save him? But... he's not him, he's you and what happens if you die? Will that be you later? Or... was that you before? Under the intense pressure of a murderous killer hunting you down you try to wrap your head around it and it's just impossible. Because there's no way to distinguish it all, you've been here for so long, or have you? It feels like centuries... or.. yesterday?
It really adds an element of mental torture on top of the already gruesome nature of the trials. Something I don't think people who don't read / look into the lore much less analyze it completely understand. Of course this isn't something that's exactly confirmed, but it does make a lot of sense given what we've got.
I think the devs also confirmed that some survivors wake up in each new trial believing that it's their first. Which is both messed up, and yet in its own way, a kind of mercy.
-
This is something I actually find extremely interesting and fun to talk about, so let me explain (hopefully without ranting EDIT: I ended up ranting oh well. Read the history and then read the second explanation, the first is just a kind of offhand that some people have thought of before)
The place where survivors now find themselves in is not the real world, at best you can say it's sort of like a parallel dimension but really there's no other way to describe it than "The Realm of The Entity".
Most of what the entity is is an unknown mystery. Its motives, intentions, how it works mechanically / biologically is more or less incomprehensible and horror indescribable.
So already the answer is going great because we're admitting to knowing basically next to nothing.
However, there are a few things we do know and with what little information we have we can cobble together a reasonable explanation.
History / background info.
The entity, which is not exactly on the same plane of existence as the real world can actually pull survivors and killers from different time periods (and also dimensions, technically / supposedly). One of the very first characters we are introduced to: Benedict Baker is one of the first indications of this messed up chronology as one of his diary entries is dated 1956 but a few entries later there is a new date: 1896, which is repeated on many of his other entries about the entity, the bloodweb, the heartbeat, etc.
Benedict Baker's journal entry about The Hillbilly specifically makes little sense as the first hand-held, motorised Chainsaws weren't invented until in 1918 and thus a man that was taken into the Entity's Realm in 1896 should not know about their existence, let alone how to use one.
What we can gather from this (and basically what I just took a long time explaining even though the devs confirmed it in a sentence) is time does not exist in the realm of the entity. If we go back to one of the first sentences I said "the place where survivors now find themselves in is not the real world" you can also use this to infer that this place is not bound or perhaps only loosely bound by the same laws that govern our own reality. Laws about Time, Space, etc.
So now to answer your question there are two explanations for this, one is simple, and one is far more intriguing and thought provoking.
First explanation
The first is that the entity pulls from different dimensions the same person, this also neatly enough explains the different outfits that exist in the game they are all different versions of the same person. Take Dwight for example, two Dwight's spawn in a trial: one is wearing "The Great Gas Jockey" outfit and another is wearing the "Mr. Elf" outfit. This is in fact the same person Dwight Fairfield but from two different dimensions or times in two different dimensions, one where he was working as an employee at "Phil's Petrol" and another where he "he secured a part-time job at the mall. [over the holidays]"
However, this theory doesn't fit well since in every survivor's bio we are given more or less the circumstance or single canonical moment in time that they disappeared. Or were "taken" to the realm of the entity This was the one for Dwight:
"One weekend, on a team-building exercise from his dead-end job, Dwight's boss led them deep into the woods before breaking out his family recipe moonshine. Dwight remembered taking the first sip before waking up late the next morning all alone. During the night, the others had abandoned him. Once again, the laughing stock of the community Dwight tried to hike his way out of the woods. That was the last anyone ever heard of Dwight Fairfield."
Second explanation
The second which I believe is more reliable is a more science heavy explanation, and relies more on the lack of the existence of Time. Here's the best way to think about it: say you were in your room at home alone and then you walk out of your room. 5 minutes later, you walk back into your room and then walk out again. Thirty minutes later you walk back into your room.
Now take that same circumstance, and say time doesn't exist, throw it out the window. What happens? What is there to distinguish between you walking into your room 5 minutes later and thirty minutes later? Nothing. You walking into your room 5 minutes in the future and thirty minutes in the future is no longer separated by the time between because it no longer exists so you actually walk in at the same time
At that point you can't even call it the future anymore, because it's all mixed and mingled, it's the past the future and the present all happening at once. So the first Dwight is from 5 minutes ago, the second Dwight is from 15 minutes ago, the third Dwight is from 30 minutes in the future and the fourth is from now. Except there is no "now" because there is no time. And to each one of those Dwight's "Then" is "now" and they are all experiencing it in the same moment at the same exact "time".
So basically:
https://youtu.be/nRGCZh5A8T4?t=79tl;dr Time does not Exist.

Except I did think about the difference in farming (Which to be fair to you, it looks like you didn't see that as the quote of mine is missing my edit so presumably you were writing your post after I put in my thing).
So yes, you are correct and I apologize for the confusion that there is a difference between Bloodpoint Farming (which looks to be what this fella did) and "Grief Farming" as you put it (that one being the not allowed version).
Well, glad to see we're on the same page at least

Farming is against the rules and bannable if not everyone in the game wishes to farm. I'm not sure why you would think it's allowed as it's always been against the rules of the game...
It's not. I have talked about this so many godd*mn times my man it is not.
The word "farming" is used very loosely and thrown around a bunch, farming for BP is not bannable have you ever heard of anyone being banned because a lobby of 5 people all willingly participated in behavior that could be considered farming? Because news flash: if 5 people who are all randoms working together in a lobby willingly, who the hell is going to report them?
"Oh, well I guess I hadn't thought about it that way before-" OFCOURSEYOUHAVEN'T.
Bruh!!!!
*Deep inhale*
Now, if we're talking farming as in griefing, yes that is a bannable offense. But that needs to be specified because again, farming is a very loose term however, op specifically singled out "bloodpoints" meaning he is not talking about the actual bannable form. Griefing can mean a lot of things, it can mean holding the game hostage like a killer pinning a survivor in a corner and not letting them go, it can also mean survivors working with the killer to reveal their location get them hooked, unhook them right away for the killer to down immediately and hook again. Both of those examples are very clearly malicious and predatory practices.
However, Bloodpoint farming is entirely harmless because it requires the joint of effort multiple survivors and the killer, it can be done with a single one from either side but it is extremely inefficient this way.
