I mean there are certain peyote who camp because they need to but i feel like bad survivors need to be reprimanded. All this "looping is fine" cosign is because we've allowed the culture of survivors dictating how killers should kill them. That doesn't make any sense whether you're used to it or not
What do you expect survivor do to "survivor" the ol' killer favourite "Just don't get found" "just don't get hit" "just juke" lmao, these don't work against good killers.
-
Oh yea, the perk that isn't even seen in every game anymore.
Again, been in the game for years, doesn't change my statement.

not according to red rank stats
what do you mean? The stats still include players that fart during a trial, if they removed those stats it would show how weak killers are, probably put them all below 10% kill rate.

still this perk shouldn't be Nerfed it's gonna be pretty good in conjunction with mettle of man
I agree - people complain about the "survivor meta", but there literally hasn't been a good perk for survivors in a very long time that wasn't nerfed.
the meta perks at the moment are what, Balanced/Sprint/DH/Adrenaline/BT/Borrowed Which have all been in the game for years.
-
Because there is no playstyle more boring than farming matches, having killers force you to farm is more annoying than being tunneled & camped.
Survivors are queueing up for 10+ minutes just to have some killer afk/occasionally hit them and farm, it's more enjoyable to just re-queue
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
I hope not dont want a perk ruined just because of survive with friends
It wont be because of SWF.
I have more randoms take hits for me than my team when I SWF lmao.
-
This is a huge lol.
Imagine thinking you're "teaching bad survivors" by camping and basically letting 3 of them escape most games, they're sure gunna get annoyed by that.
Just admit that you're not very good at the game and that's your reason for camping.
Imagine how fun DBD would be if the survivors just ran to every pallet and dropped it, you really think that's the intention of DBD? For a survivor to drop every pallet they come to in a chase and move on?

But there is someone complaining about people complaining.
If you want to pretend that's what I'm doing, sure.
the OP showed concern that every killer may be nerfed due to the kill rate being so high, as we know, devs ONLY nerf killers if survivors complain, as shown by the multitude of killer main posts proving that this is what devs do, as no survivor is complaining about this, no killer will be nerfed.
/s
Would be interesting if the devs nerfed all the killers because all the killer complained about the stats, lmao.
Edit: Had to add a /s I didn't want anyone thinking i think devs actually think that way.

Everyone complains. Its the nature of humanity. And its a game with two obvious camps that oppose one another. Such things are like the tides. Inevitable.
Except no survivor is complaining about these stats that show they are on average, get stomped, lol.
-
@Vetrathene said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/867507#Comment_867507
Yep, you got a problem with that?
Nope, just find it embarrassing how often killers say survivors only complain, to find killers, only complaining when they're shown the stats that prove red rank isn't all fields of grass and daisies for survivors at rank one.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/867507#Comment_867507
Why make a post for something that isn't a problem?
SWF is still a problem, we certainly need to bring Solo's up to SWF levels. I certainly think the stats are a little inflated, as the last round of stats were.
SWF is perfectly fine lmao.
Considering killers like to pretend 4-man depip squads sit waiting in rank one together to depip any killer that comes into red ranks it sure looks like the majority of them get wasted by literally every killer.
-
I don't see why you find it concerning.
from my brief lurk on the forums the only people complaining about the stats is... well... killers, yet again.
No survivor has made a post like "Well we seriously need to look at kill rates because they're too high".
Literally no body, just the same killers who complain day in and day out that they aren't getting enough kills and that SWF is the devil etc, now they're all making meme posts like "Hurr I guess we better nerf da killers because they are all overperforming hehehe"
-
Very nice work. :D
-
@se05239 said:
They do this all the time. They're afraid to give us the raw, undiluted data.
Nah, it's just that killers hate seeing these stats and being proven wrong that killing isn't hard, you're probably just not that good.
Last time it was "If DCs are included these stats don't matter".
Now that DCs exclude the entire match from even counting in the stats it's
"Why are the Console/PC stats mixed together".
Devs literally can't win regardless of what stats they drop.

It really isn't all that challenging if your somewhat well versed in the game. Several are essentially 'just play the objective'. Getting a grab takes a few games if you are unlucky and the Dark Sense challenge where you must compete 3 generators over also over hyped. I completed it in my first attempt.
If people are freaked out by this stuff, then they have no chance of getting Tome IV done.
But, maybe there was just come confusion about the requirements of the harder challenges.
Dark Sense challenge; you do not need to complete 3 generators by yourself 0-100%. Just bring a good tool box and play a little immersed with perks that help you before the exit gates are done/do generators.
Grab challenge; grabbing off generators, totems, out of lockers, exit gates, pallets, and windows will complete the challenge. You'll most likely get someone out of a locker, pallet, or window. The last two can happen when a survivor is injured and either slow vaulting or slow sprint vaulting when you are very close.
Edit: It should also be noted some of the harder challenges are not required to be done to complete the Tome. You only need to follow one track and there are many challenges that do not lead directly to the Tome Epilogue.
I think the main thing is people were unsure as to whether the Dark Devotion one meant 3 entire gens, hindsight is great and we now know this isn't the case, but as the tome came out, and from the bug showing the 4th tome, no one really knew and just assumed the worst.

@Dehitay said:

That was the hardest one for me. I blew through 4 flashlights before I managed to get 2 blinds. But still, the tome wasn't hard enough to complain about. It's just too many spoiled brats want things handed to them on a silver platter rather than have a challenge be challenging.
@Mrwood204 said:
I wouldn't even say you need to be well versed. I'm not a seasoned player (typically between rank 12-15) and I didnt have too much of an issue.
Granted...I got lucky with the flashlight one where the killer let me do it.
You know it didn't have to be saves, right? Drop a pallet + Blind x2 would grant you this. Just a heads up for you guys incase they make a "blind 4" or something, doesn't have to be a save.
-
Evil Within 3 has a counter, you can see the killer, hear the killer & more often than not when I've Vsed an Evil Within 3 Infinite, we're already almost done with gens when he procs it.
-
I agree with this, more controls in KYF would be a brilliant option for creators & friends to test and show things off.

This could easily become a non-issue if a random charm is selected for the gen/charms aren't on survivors asses anymore.
I don't understand their complaints honestly, most killers can't even remember which survivor was just unhooked to avoid DS, let alone memorising all the survivors charms :P
Additionally, if a gen pops, you're going to look for everyone, I don't think killers will be taking their time to investigate charms to tunnel someone, because it just means who ever isn't being chased is now the one doing gens, it's an odd complaint imo, or at least I don't understand it.,
-
This idea is genuinely fun and hopefully the devs see it!

Eh,that is the point I was trying to make, lol
My mistake.
I assumed (incorrectly) that you meant it's only being perceived as OP because SWF is complaining about it, my bad.
-
@Andreyu44 said:
1)Swf is broken
2) X killer performs well against SWF
3) X killer must be OP by logic.
What's the point you're trying to make here?
the forums often makes out that SWF is this unbeatable force, so if these killers are decimating the unbeatable SWFs you can only imagine how stomped on Solo players get.
-
Yes.
- It's on a timer.
- It's a one time use
If a survivor you have hooked comes running at you, down them, and slug them. Slugging is such a powerful tactic. It's odd that I only see killers complain about it when they're told to do it to counter DS.
If you don't tunnel a survivor off the hook, and you slug the ones that have just been un-hooked, it's pretty safe to assume you wont see DS in a single match, it will then become a wasted slot for survivors.
-
I'm very bad with trapper, and I just ended up farming at the end game with a very nice Jake. I set up two traps at an exit gate and continuously stepped in one, he then began stepping in the other one while a Jeff kept getting him out.
Contrary to what the forums say, not all Survivors are bad, and some - if they know what you need, will help you.
-
I often get decimated by those killers on those maps :(
-
I'd want
- Supernatural
- Bioshock
- F.E.A.R
-
If I'm rank one on either side which I am every season black pipping is the norm.
If you're at rank one pipping signifies you should be ranked up, if this is happening consistantly then you're a god tier player.
If you're black pipping constantly it means you're earning enough to stay at the rank you're at.
Some people don't understand this concept.

How is that a justification? So you are telling me 8 hooks is the same as 0 hooks? Then how about we end the game if no one is dead and doors are open?
If they "played poorly" there is no reason to prolong it since they wont get anybetter in the 5 minutes they are in the game.
You guys give up far too easily. I've turned a 0 killer game into a 3K - 4K with the gates powered/open.
There is NO justification to force a survivor to stop participating in play because a killer couldn't secure a kill, if you have 8 hooks everyone is on last hook, meaning you should probably down someone before that last gen pops, or the gates are opened.
The whole "why don't we just end the game" is not an argument because there are specific perks that can turn this event in the favour of the killer.

If it is a party game and not a competitive game like you have said, then what harm is it?
Because party games don't force a player to stop playing purely based on the fact that the opponent you're Vsing is playing poorly.
I don't see how anyone can justify a "you have to die to progress because the killer played poorly" mechanic.

DC and then I don't get their names and they get away with it, which I assume is their plan.
Please refer to this section on the forums.
Use whatever you need to record the footage, please DO NOT leave the lobby you MUST report in game AS WELL as submit a support ticket with your evidence.
Additional evidence can be provided here:
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Select "Additional Player Report Information" and fill in as necessary.
Edit: You should be safe to DC for what it's worth, just make sure you gather enough evidence before hand, DC, report in game, submit evidence.

All Killers All Perks Besides Demodork.
All Survivors P3 Level 50 Besides Steve
Feng, Nancy, Kate, Jake, Nea are my maxed survivors.

I know this is supposed to be a joke but I've seen a few of these.
One 4K does not mean they're over performing, if everyone was doing this consistently then it may be a problem, as for now - it isn't.

Oh my god, get over it, it is a cosmetic item in a video game. It doesn't matter and has literally no bearing on anything in anyone's lives. You're acting like it's the most important thing ever.
but but but, they're releasing "exclusive" cosmetics that 80% of the player base has, so they should release cosmetics less than 5% of the player base has.
You know, that player base that stuck around long enough for the game to viable, and prestiged and reset their characters never knowing where the game may end up!
-
Except legacy was an actual grind.
When players first started playing DBD they were prestige-ing, they wanted to be completionists, they didn't know if the game would last this long, and then suddenly the devs are like.
"We're changing the way bloodwebs work, if you have prestiged by this date you'll get the clothing for it".
Nobody grinded for legacy because no one thought it would happen, and you know damn well for a fact people still wear their legacy, often having to last second switch it because killers are so damned scared of it.
Your argument has no valid points because legacy was an actual grind, no one knew it would happen, people were just playing the game and having fun completely resetting their characters back then without any knowledge of how long the game would last
Everyone knew the goals going into the events, everyone had PLENTY of time to prepare, and knew exactly what to expect.
-
The events were free, the time they gave us was INSANSELY generous.
and I bet 9/10 people who are complaining probably don't even wear the cosmetics they're complaining about.
I hope you guys take a serious moment, everyone out here complaining about the monetisation of this game, and there are genuinely some people who work too hard, work too much and for too little pay and will never be able to sink the time or spend the money to get skins at all, you should think about them instead of being so selfish over some skins you don't even use anymore.
#FreeTheSkins
-
Likely you end up with a "BHVR Account" that you'd log into on all the platforms and then when you go to play it would check to see if the account has a newer save than the one currently being used.

Your last part is irrelevant since I already said how I would workaround this. Are you even reading whole comments or just the first words?
How do you know achievements were abused?
I did read the entire comment but what you're suggesting is irrelevant because you don't get to decide how the compensation works if it were to happen, so you don't get to ignore the complications of deciding or working out which part each player had just because YOU think they should get all of it back.
Secondly, how do you know they weren't? Theres no way to tell, so we should just give everyone the benefit of the doubt because justarandy says so? lol
-
@justarandy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/835646#Comment_835646
There is a way to tell if you had them: Achievements. Tho, you couldn't tell what character really had prestiged, but imo everyone who lost his legacy and waited for so long should get them on all characters as compensation. For example, if you had legacy 3 on all survivors and lost progress, you would get legacy on all survivors and killers.
Proves nothing, achievements have been abusable since the dawn of time, just because someone has the achievement before that time doesn't prove they unlocked it, it also doesn't prove which character they had it on.

"I can understand that, although the people who did earn them got to enjoy their exclusivity for over 2 years. You got to have something special that whole time, and now everyone has a chance to get legacy as well". :)
Same logic here for legacy am i rite ? it's not fair for people who did spend time doing the event to give them for free , if you're given event things for free , might as well give legacy skin for free , and any kind of legacy skin for free , you can't nitpick only those skins will be given for free , you either give all old event for free , or you don't. it's not fair at all
It's very different, though.
With prestige back then, no one knew the game would last this long, the grind was 10x as long as it is now, and you'd ultimately just reset your progress without the chance of a reward, no one was prestiging because they thought they would get a highly exclusive cosmetic, they prestiged because they loved playing the game and wanted to grind and complete.
With the events we knew of the prerequisites, we knew what we were getting, and we can see where the game has come from and mostly where it is going.
-
@Weederick said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/835513#Comment_835513
No to people who didnt earn it. They said multiple times in the past they're trying to restore legacy for those that lost it. And if they can restore lost event cosmetics and identify who earned them, why not for legacy and stay true to their words?
They aren't "identifying" the lost event cosmetics, though, they're flat out giving it to everyone.
I assume the difficulty with legacy is if you had it, there would be a flag set on your account, would probably look like
"Legacy_Head_Meg ✓"
The issue lies in a save issue that was once present in steam that would clear the flag, and without any way of telling who actually had the flag enabled before the save issue anyone who wanted to would be able to request it, it sucks but it is what it is.

You can give them all the information you want, I mean a match only lasts 12 minutes. But don't tell me how I should feel about something.
Matches can be hard, some can be absurd. With the changes made and every survivor bringing flashlights it really was a nightmare for the matches players had to go through during the event.
It was very difficult and frustrating to endure, but I did and earned something.
Now it's just being given out.
Obviously it doesn't mean as much to you as it does to me. Leave me alone to vent about the change.
Yea, you had 3x as many days without the patch as you did with the patch, I'm sure you did ALL your coins in the first 4 days.
and then of course you have to sneak in the "if you're giving these super EASY to earn cosmetics away you should also give everyone the incredibly tough to earn legacy, that has been promised 100s of times will never be given out again".
It's clear what your real motive is here.

Lmao, it wasn't challenging at all.
The Event/Patch started on the 15th of Feb,
The Flashlight/Pallet Changes were reverted on the 19th of Feb
The event ended on the 1st of March.
You didn't have to put up with this "nightmare" at all, a whopping 4 days.

-
Because the spirit isn't being "reworked" a rework in the DBD sense is a mechanics change, an overhaul of the ability/perk/addon.
In the case of the spirit, the devs have stated that she is over performing, thus it's likely to be a nerf, I don't think the devs would be so naive as to "tease" a nerf.
