If insulting my intelligence makes you feel better than go for it, at least I'm not the one that got caught in a corner 3 times.

There is literally gens that place you in a gap the killer can block and being stealth killer makes it very easy to use these spots and block survivors in, especially if it's a killer that is continuing to do so, sounds like he's TRYING to make survivors DC.

  • I would consider it more griefing than holding the game hostage as if the survivors complete gens the game will eventually end. Either way, still a bannable/warnable offensive I should think.

This goes back to the whole time line from before, you're continuously saying they're on break, but they weren't on break two weeks ago. For one and for two, you mean to tell me it takes them 2+ weeks on average to even look at a ticket?! If that's true then you've just proved my point even more, the system is useless because BHVR doesn't care. They got our money and now they don't give a cap if toxic players ruin their game. Wouldn't surprise me if this game ends up like their last failed project, Deathgarden: Bloodharvest, player base was so toxic everyone quit after the first major update. They thought they could just keep us quiet with new cosmetics and a hunter, didn't work so well then, and I would hope they learn from it. Not looking to good though.

Dead by Daylight has been going on significantly longer than Deathgarden did, Deathgarden failed because it just wasn't fun for a lot of people, DBD is fun.

and like I've said, there is people constantly getting banned, sorry that all your reports don't take top priority and that everyone is banned as soon as you report them.

Also, again, if they body blocked once in a game they aren't going to ban anyone for that, it would take a lot of report for someone to banned for body blocking.

Yeah DOTA's system would be a welcome change, anything other than this no reply bs they have now.

Dude's claiming he got someone banned and knows it but heck I didn't even get an email saying thanks for the report, so for him to say he got someone banned but can't prove it is sketchy at best.

Go find my twitter, it's very easy I assure you.

  • @DRG_Kayen said:

Not at all, in fact I'd like to see any kind of actual attempt at penalizing toxic players, soft bans, heck a firm email stating something to the effect of don't do this, but again they don't do anything. Perm-bans are a last resort not a first.

I mean, I had someone banned just today for toxic chat, I can't link you the proof because it has the persons name in it but I can assure you they are banned.

the first ban is a 3 day, I can't see them banning some players for three days based on one report of body blocking, maybe if they racked up an insane amount they would but one game? unlikely.

  • So...? Do you want people permanently banned for first offenses or something?

    You're right.

It's still rude, and therefore, toxic behavior. It's deliberate taunting. (Flashlight clicking to get noticed when the killer hasn't seen you yet is different.)

How is it rude? I've legit used T-Bagging/Flashlight flicks to coax a camping killer away from the hook, it's literally a tactic, just like tunneling and camping is.

Mori Spamming has 0 benefits other than bad manners.

I also have a very different definition of toxicity, the only things I find toxic are Abusing/Exploiting bugs & offensive chat. Sorry that I don't cry over a character bumping up and down or a little clicky noise.

Survivor actions dictate what the killer does. And vice versa. I was illustrating that survivor actions are just like how killer ones can be in your eyes. With the extra bit that if a killer is mori spamming, they aren't pressuring other survivors on the map.

Why do you only look at one side of this?

If the killer is mori spamming the rest of the match is irrelevant as at this point the killer has made the decision that mori spamming is more important than a win/loss, so whether pressure is applied, something negative is happening in the match, additionally mori spam can be done at the end of a match. I have a video of a nurse mori spamming all 4 survivors, and then carrying a survivor around with infections fright, and dropping the survivor and then hitting them to try and trigger it on the last survivor, she then found the last survivor, closed hatch and proceeded to mori spam that survivor for the entirety of the EGC, so pressure in the match wasn't the issue, the match lasted 30 minutes.

and no, tbagging and flashlight flicking does not dictate what a killer does, flashlight flicking and tbagging does not prevent any action that a killer can do, at all, how ever.

So just because something is free, you gonna make it trash?

Something being trash is subjective, they have to encourage people to buy stuff, it's how companies exist, idk if you knew that.

  • @Raven014 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945183#Comment_945183

Well, that's not necessarily true... since t-bagging gives the killer a choice: loop them round the loop, break the pallet at the loop and they run away, or drop the chase. That's if they Tbag after a pallet. If they're at the open gate, it's just showing: ''I could leave, but I don't want to.''

Clicking flashlights is to gain attention. It's also telling the killer that ''I'm a survivor that isn't afraid of you and wants to get into a chase. I think you're a garbage killer.''

And that's not considering what survivors give killers after the match. There may not be a chat system in game on console, but I've received lots of threats/insults via messages. Survivors are way more susceptible to give this than killers do. That is toxic behavior.

    What?

Whether the survivors t-bags or not, you, as a killer still have to make that choice, the t-bagging doesn't affect this choice in the slightest, the same with flashlight flicking, the killer makes the choice whether to pursue it or not, it doesn't slow down or prevent anything from happening in the match.

Again, survivors on the floor don't have a choice, survivor stood in the exit gate, the killer can choose to push them out, they're also on a timer that they can't stop.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Yeah the whole Shards-Systems needs an update. Its a system that rewards playtime with skins or characters. But the playtime you need to unlock aynthing doesnt correlate with the reward. Its the same with the free battlepass. The reward is trash.

No one is playing this game to "Just grind out an outfit" because then you'd just stop playing after you've earned it and that's a little weird, you'd be playing the game anyway - it really doesn't need reworked, what needs to happen is people need to realise it takes time and money to make these things so they need time or money back for them, simple.

I don't see killers in my dm's harassing but almost every survivor game I'm getting told to kill myself and uninstall win or lose. So because someone spammed you in a video game that directly affects you emotionally.

What you are saying is you condone survivors harassing people but when they get a taste of their own medicine that's where you draw the line pfft, if you don't want to get spammed with a mori learn stealth and/or don't be a toxic survivor.

Gotta get hooked once and downed twice to get mori whereas someone bm can mesmerise all the safe pallets and have a 5 gen chase without ruin.

You're twisting my words awfully hard here.

I don't condone harassment of any form, strictly things you can do in a live match, not any communication or anything outside of that, so please don't try and make it seem like I'm saying it's ok for survivors to send death threats or the like at all, because it's not right for either side, I literally had a killer banned recently for facecamping and tunneling my friend because they were a certain homophobic slur I cannot repeat, had he just tunneled and face camped then fine, but he had to tell us in end game chat why he decided to do what he did which ended in him being banned for 3 days.

Again, i'm sorry but this "don't be a toxic survivor" is just a cowards way of admitting you like the toxicity just as much as the survivors. I've had plenty of games where it's been played normally and something dumb has come out at end game chat etc for no reason, mori spam prevents players moving on, tbagging does not, harrasment via messages etc should not be tolerated and if someone sends you a message of hate, and you go take it out on someone else it doesn't make you a better person.

  • @iamscumqueen101 said:

This wouldn't happen if survivors didn't bm so much, guarantee 90% of killers that are toxic had one game where they were bm by swf and now choose to punish survivors.

Except survivor "toxicity" is completely different to killer "toxicity"

While you might find T-Bagging, or flashlight clicking "toxic" it actually has 0 impact on how a match is played out, tbagging/flashligh flicking doesn't prevent or delay anything from happening, while mori spam is directly used to show that you could kill the person but refuse to and instead enact a rather obnoxious animation and force the survivor to wait until bleed out/you do the mori, directly affecting the person either moving on, or preventing others from picking you up.

I'm sorry but the "Survivors are toxic and this is what they get" doesn't really cut it here, at least for me, anyway.

  • Yes.

I completed the last pass with 33 days left, it's well worth the 10$ just for the cosmetics in my opinion.

  • *Charges Blink*

-- Survivor Doubles Back To Counter

    *Cancels Blink & Hits*

Sounds really fun and counterable, the only reason nurse is balanced is the fatigues for misses & the fact that if she over charges you can get away. If you remove the bit where if she overcharges and you can get away she just becomes old nurse again where you can cancel your mistakes (old nurse by adding blinks) this just lets you not use the blink.

  • Why? You'd have to add fatigue to the cancel anyway.

  • It's still legacy regardless of the colour, how about we just use the 100s of other cosmetics?

  • If you're required to take it, and it's gone in 10 seconds, but you still win the match... Was it really required?

It always makes me laugh how some people complain about totems being destroyed in seconds almost every match but also say they can't win without ruin =/

  • The head is super ugly (as all meg heads are, except the DG mask), the jacket & pants are really good tbh, one of the rare times the art made the outfit look worse than it does in game.

  • If I see the last survivor when I'm downing the other one, I'll slug for it, if I don't know where they are I'll pick up and hook.

  • The irony of people drawing conclusions that gens are too fast from these videos that get posted every other week but disregarding anyone who brings up stats of 1000s of matches the devs tracked.

  • All the people in here "The game isn't scary because killers are weak"

    Are you guys actually serious?

The game isn't scary beacuse the people who play have been playing for 100+ hours, do you expect any horror movie to still scare you after you watch it 50 times? Unlikely

The game will never be scary to anyone passed 50+ hours, you can put a killer in who's M1 downs and players wont be scared, they'll be bored and irritated. Powerful killers does not make the game scary, and it never will.

Can't wait for the next one.

I hope we get an "overflow" next rift, you essentially get locked out of buying tiers at level 70 but you can keep earning shards and you get 25K bp or something for every rift level passed 70.

  • Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I've hit rank one on both sides every month for the two and a half year I've been playing this game so to me it's no different than being 4-5 days into the reset.

  • SWF is the only reason this game is even popular at this point.

SWF gives you a fair chance, look at all the threads talking about SWF/Killer strength and there will always be a few people who go "When I play solo against XYZ I always get destroyed".

You may not like it but it's necessary, I'm also one of the few who actually enjoys playing against SWF because I really don't think they're that tough in all honesty.

Ruin is only good for early game. If I get one or two hooks before it breaks then that is all I need. Can’t expect it to last forever. All it’s really supposed to do is help you apply pressure early and keep survivors from popping gens quickly

So I guess Spirit is a perk now XD. I mean...Spirit is one killer I’ve played a lot of. If you start “running loops” with Spirit then you aren’t playing correctly anyways. Most of your hits should come from “Grudge” hits. You should never be running loops with Spirit.

I don’t use Pop, like ever. I don’t like stopping to kick a gen while in mid chase.

Some players can develop bad habits from perks though so I see where you are coming from.

    Spirit = Spirit Fury.

Yoooo....you’re getting a little bit too defensive my dude.

I most likely read the post the wrong way the first time. It happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The game is the point where the game is circled around a few perks (like Ruin, Pop, BBQ, DS, Unbreakable, Adrenaline, etc). What do you really expect players are gonna being in? Monstrous Shrine and Deja Vu? Or perkless?

I get what you’re saying about “getting better without perks” but that’s simply not going to be the case against players at your skill level. Playing as Wraith without meta perks isn’t going to be fun or go over well against players who are just as experienced and good as you are. You can beat up Rank 15’s all day but going in as Wraith without good perks is going to be hell in red ranks ESPECIALLY going against the meta survivor perks.

I mean, you're incorrectly calling me a hypocrite, why would I not be defensive?

I'm not telling people to run stuff like monstrous shrine etc but people get so attached to ruin, so when it breaks, they forget they have to check gens more often, they pick survivors up immediately instead of stopping the survivors on the gen next to them.

Or they get attached to spirit for the easy hit, so when a survivor starts dropping pallets early they have no idea how to play the loop because they're so often given that easy hit

Or they run pop, and get so used to only kicking gens when it's active they stop kicking gens mostly and only when pop is active.

    etc etc

  • @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920612#Comment_920612

Specifically talking about killers relying on “crutch perks” is super hypocritical if you don’t bring up the other side is all I’m saying.

I don’t get the point of bashing other players for using perks they have and then calling them out for using perks like Ruin or Pop just because YOU don’t use them. If you can have fun without them then cool, you do that. Doesn’t mean others are the same way.

Rank is pointless, yes. I don’t want to be at red ranks every season either.

I don’t want to HAVE to use Ruin but it’s easily the best gen slowdown perk. I mainly play Plague, a killer with zero map pressure. If I don’t run it then three gens will just pop back ti back to back. It can be crucial for early game with all survivors are healthy and uninjured. Just giving you an idea on why I use Ruin.

I also play on console so I do get cucked out of a lot of hits due to framedrops and lower sensitivity. Not a pleasant experience to play on console. I also play for fun but it’s not very fun when your games last four minutes. Guess I’m bad for using Ruin :/

What are you even talking about? How is what I said even close to hypocritical? You clearly don't understand what the word means, saying people rely on something and then YOU saying "Well survivors rely on these" does not in any miniscule amount of the word make me a hypocrite, lmao.

You clearly don't understand the point that I'm making, I'm not even complaining about anyone using the perks, all I'm saying is that game has gotten to a point where killers put on these perks, and then when they don't have them, they play badly, and blame it on imbalance, instead of playing without the perks, and getting better without them, so when they do get destroyed or they don't have them equipped there playstyle isn't' so reliant on it.

Youre absolutely missing the point and arguing for nothing.

" BUT WAIT THE SURVIVOR USE..." etc ok lmao.

  • @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920564#Comment_920564

Why would you say killers heavily rely on these perks when survivors also heavily rely on their perks? Both sides kinda rely on perks quite a bit.

DS isn’t an “anti-tunnel” perk like players make it out to be. It’s “I’m invincible for a minute” perk. You can hook another survivor and run into a guy you hooked 50 seconds ago and get DS in the face. Darn, guess I tunneled. Or either I’m that damn good that I can down multiple survivors within a minute.

Dead Hard is bad if you use it to bait a hit. It’s the best exhaustion perk if you use it to make up distance in a loop. Gaining you more distance and more time to waste. Especially if you have a strong structure like the main building on Torment Creek.

Little known fact for you...sometimes you can’t avoid Adrenaline because the map is Ormond and I’m playing Clown against a good group with three commodious toolboxes. You just get those matches where it is impossible to even do anything. Yet if I were to play Spirit with an ebony I’d get hate :/

It’s not hard for killer to seem easy when comparing it to times of insta-heals, old DS, old BNP, and old infinities. Of course killer is easier than it was in the past but it’s still not an EASY role to play against an optimal group of survivors. You’re acting as though it’s a guarantee 4K every single time.

Because I don't have to say it? I did have to say it for killer to give context for my paragraph that I had written, I really don't understand why you make it seem like I have to ALSO say survivor rely on their perks too when I wasn't talking about survivors.

"DS isn’t an “anti-tunnel” perk like players make it out to be. It’s “I’m invincible for a minute” perk. You can hook another survivor and run into a guy you hooked 50 seconds ago and get DS in the face. Darn, guess I tunneled. Or either I’m that damn good that I can down multiple survivors within a minute."

Ok? Did I specifically say it was an anti-tunnel perk? Not at all, like you said "players make it out to be", I don't. Additionally, I don't think you understand what "invincible" means, killers love slugging but when you tell them to use it to counter DS for some reason they have issue with it as a tactic, it's hilarious. Slugging applies just as much pressure as hooking does.

Dead Hard is bad if you use it to bait a hit. It’s the best exhaustion perk if you use it to make up distance in a loop. Gaining you more distance and more time to waste. Especially if you have a strong structure like the main building on Torment Creek.

Again, doesn't work 90% of the time, I can't count the amount of times I used dead hard to gain distance just to end up on the floor exhausted anyway. Dead hard is also seeing less and less use anyway because of ho janky it is.

Ok? Why does this always happen, I have a discussion with someone and then they always do the "insert super specific scenario that happened personally to me as proof of this perk being XYZ"

and I definitely don't make it out like it's easy to 4K, I don't even aim for 4Ks when I play killer, I am for fun because I'm totally over the being rank 1 every season because ranking is irrelevant, you can have one bad game as killer and be deranked, no other game does this, therefore, for me rank is the most irrelevant thing ever, and so are kills. I do still 4K most of my matches though but that's what happens when you don't rely on ruin and actually play well.

  • @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920483#Comment_920483

You really can’t complain about killers needing “crutch perks” like Ruin/Pop/Spirit Fury etc...when survivors will use THEIR meta perks like Adrenaline, Iron Will, Unbreakable, DS, Dead Hard, etc. You know, all the perks to give you a second chance. Killer is not “easy” when you could upwards of four players running second chance perks.

I play both sides pretty frequently and I don’t have an issue with what perks the other side is running. Just deal with it and move on. It’s not that hard or serious. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I can hook somebody across the map and down another survivor and still get DS in the face. I’ve also come to terms with the fact that my game can end in two minutes because a killer brought a mori. You’ll forget about your bad rounds after a couple of other rounds.

SWF are just friends playing together. Some are sweaty, some are not. Some are good and some are potatoes. I don’t see why people complain about it.

Sorry, can you quote the bit where I specifically complained about killers using certains perks? or do you mean the bit where I say killers rely heavily on those perks and when they don't have them, they don't do as well because they rely on them too much?

Yes yes yes, "second chance perks" etc etc terrifying, little known fact is adrenaline doesn't even pop if you kill the survivor, ds is very avoidable, and dead hard is just about the worst exhaustion perk at this point, 90% of the time it doesn't work, its very easy to bait out especially when you have seen the survivor has used it earlier, iron will is a second chance perk? lmfao

Killer is definitely pretty easy, and it is definitely the easiest it has ever been.

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920483#Comment_920483

Four strong randoms can still dominate a killer, depending on how the match unfolds. I can't help the fact inexperienced randoms that never touches gens are getting dominated.

You want a watered down DBD so every match has no surprises or threats to survivor.

Killers can mostly see keys unless pulled from a chest & mories are not a surprise, lol.

aaaaand killers are definitely a threat to survivors.

As Solo/SWF I'd much rather be taken out by a good player than some cheap offering he brought for a "surprise".

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920247#Comment_920247

Keys and moris change the game up because they are obtained in the bloodwebb. I have no issue with either of them. Ultra rares should be strong. However, SWF does give an unfair advantage that nobody can deny. So you are referring to an altruistic team. Those are not an issue. But if they tryhard and coordinate so that one is always on a gen, it is totally impossible to hook everyone 12 times. Old nurse maybe but now no. And now we have a thread nerfing something else killers have. Before long the devs will have to implement an AI for killer bots because nobody will be killer.

    You're kidding, right?

Killer has never been as easy as it is right now, people just refuse to get better, they rely on their ruin/pop/spirit fury and then basically give up the match when it's gone or they don't have it on, citing there is no way to "win" without it.

To assume killers would leave now, when the game is at it's easiest is ridiculous.

SWF is fine, solo is far too hard right now on survivor side, you see people talking about how they get stomped as solo all the time, you see killers complain about "SWF" all the time, but I've also seen killers say I'm SWF when I play solo so a lot of those threads I chose to ignore because too many killer assume SWF when they get beaten, which in turn leads them to get angrier and angrier about SWF when they don't even really know if it was SWF or a decent set of solo players.

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920141#Comment_920141

SWF and keys have never been nerfed.

Just because one thing has been nerfed twice doesn't mean everything has to be nerfed twice.

    The hypocrisy.

Your entire statement was about how mories had already been nerfed, my post was explaining that doesn't matter because things have already been nerfed multiple times to make them balanced, refuting your point that just because they were nerfed once doesn't mean they shouldn't be nerfed again.

SWF doesn't need nerfing because if you're not a huge 4head they're pretty easy to play against & you're right, keys haven't been nerfed, lets do that. OH LOOK, it's almost like this is a conversation about mories and not keys which is why I didn't bring it up, but we still agree on that.

Once again, can't have a conversation about one thing without people brining up other things as if they're some how relevant.

  • @Sluzzy said:

I think survivors have forgotten the Mori has already been heavily nerfed. Originally you could Mori without hooking first. It's funny that now the top viable killers have been nerfed into the ground for the appeasement of survivors that the Mori is suddenly a problem. Could it be that there is no killers are a problem and the Mori is the only thing left? Or, is it because killers are using the Mori more often now in hopes for a fair match?

    What relevancy does this have?

    BNPs were nerfed 2x

    DS Was Nerfed Multiple times

Using perks to correct issues (specific issues...not like looping or windows) are band aids / lazy fixes until they get around to fixing the underlying causes.

For example, the changes to Balanced Landing (note: the nerf itself) is a bandaid fix to map design they will get around to in the future. Regardless of whether or not we think it needed a nerf, fact is they nerfed the perk instead of fixing core issues with map design. Matter of fact, before Balanced Landing was even added, survivors used to have no stagger so they added stagger and then had BL remove it.

This isn't a perk, but Bloodlust is also a bandaid fix to, again, map design and "infinites". It helps killers deal with it, but doesn't fix the core issue. Like the Kindred buff is doing now. It helps solo survivors but doesn't fix solo experience on its own and requires a perk slot to even function.

The nerf to balanced landing was necessary, not a band aid fix at al.

The way BL was would have made it impossible to make any future fair maps with height, drops and considering there is like 15+ different things BL was way too powerful on suggests the perk was more powerful than it should have been, also the only exhaustion perk with a passive effect, so no, as much as you would like to pretend it was a band aid fix, it was necessary for every future map, and everything that has a drop, i.e - combines on corn maps, the game, every building with a window upstairs.

I mean I agree with making stuff like that baseline, but they tend to use perks as band aids for issues anyway. So I suppose I more mean "finish bandaiding" the problem before we can give specific killers buffs.

But yeah you are right with it "fixing" solo with a perk. It's just "helping" them with a bandaid.

The whole "band aid fix" thing is such a strawman.

Even if Windows were "perfectly" balanced there would still be bamboozle because it's fun

Even if pallets were "perfectly" balanced there would still be Brutal Strength/Spirit fury because they are fun and change the game up.

Even if gens were longer, ruin & pop would still exist

Perks aren't band aid fixes in the slightest they're supposed to change up game play, and they do, without them everything would be stale af.

Thanks, I didn't know Bubba had BBQ, so now I need to buy him and level him next.

Yea, if you know the perks you want, only level those survivors, if you level all of them then you'll see more random perks on the web and it'll be harder to get the perks you want.

  • Ok, you can save a heck tonne of points by leveling for the perks you want.

If you know the perks you want to go for, level each of their respective characters to level 40, then pick a survivor to main and prestige three them, get the build you want to play with and then level everyone else.

For killers, the route is pretty standard

    Hag - Ruin

    Leatherface - BBQ

    Trapper - Agi/Brutal

    Clown - Pop
