I do find that escape rate way too high and inaccurate, as their usual stats show killers winning over 70% of games or something like that.
It can be conclude that DS was not overpowered at all. All it did do was drastically increase tunneling.
"An Escape" this implies one person escaping, not all four, this is just indicating that 49% of people that used DS escaped.
-
This would be awful, you shouldn't disconnect against killers you don't like because it won't make you any better at the game.
Why should survivors be able to play against what they want, and what would be the equivalent for killers, picking perks they don't want to play against? It would be an absolute matchmaking nightmare not to mention far too much babying of players who aren't good against certain things.

@TruEternity said:
Yay, more useless stats that give no accurate idea if the nerf was too much or not. It’s just a useless statistic people can point to and parrot the escape rate is the same, so the perk is fine.
They should definitely have elaborated, the way i read it is, if the survivor got to use DS and then escaped irrelevant to the DS than it counted to wards the escape rate.

I've had surprisingly fast load times, sometimes I could press the button and less then 20 seconds I'm in a game other times it's a minute, but still really fast rn, I think a lot more people are playing killer rn
This is not what I'm talking about I'm talking about everyone being in a long, the countdown has finished and then the loading screen into the match taking forever

I feel like this has been an issue since 4.7.0
Like the load times feel about as long as when someone disconnects during the loading screen.
Certainly been frustrating.
-
@ryzen0849 said:
Yup. I literally spend a ton of time playing Ace Attorney in the time it takes for a match to load.
Yea i'm about ready to play darksouls as i load in lmao.

I've noticed as well in the past week so I'm inclined to either point my finger at 4.7.1 or rank reset. I play PC crossplay on with an SSD.
Yea same, loading into the actual match is insane sometimes.

Whoops. It's a 1080
I was gunna say lol, won't load very fast off a CPU.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I'm on PC, and yes, they've increased tremendously with crossplay on. It's sometimes taking 2 minutes to load into games. The load times are very quick if it's crossplay off.
Specs: SSD, 32gb ddr4 3200 ram, Ryzen 7 1800x cpu. In short, it's not my PC causing the long loads.
Do you not have a graphics card?
-
@Mandy said:
Do you have any idea roughly when this started?
I would say since 4.7.1 (BugFix) but I hadn't played much since 4.7.0 (Mid Chapter) so it could have started then, hopefully someone else could clarify.
-
@Marc_go_solo said:
Mine have been faster overall, especially on the survivor side. Killer - I may wait a few minutes, but it's rare if it goes on for longer than 5 minutes.
Are you talking about getting matches or loading into matches, like when the loading bar shows after everyone has readied up?
I'm specifically talking about loading into the match after people have readied, not waiting for people to be in a lobby, sorry for any confusion.
-
@BeHasU said:
Depends on the time you are playing, idk if we have only one server in EU or there's more like EUW and EU east, but in easter EU survivors queues are instant between 12pm-7pm and after that til 2-3 in the morning killer queues are instant. In between those intervals the queues are a bit longer.
@Beelzeboop said:
Yeah. Killer lobbies used to be almost instant due to the sheer imbalance of players.
But given that survivor queue times aren't any better, I'm assuming that this is a fairly novel issue and not the result of more killers being in the game.
I'm not talking about loading into a lobby I'm talking about actually getting into the match takes a lot longer to load, i realise my post didn't reflect that
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
If anything, I’ve had faster load times recently. I should add that I’m in western Europe, which you are too, iirc? Odd.
I'm UK so the same.

A good friend of mine uses a controller for Survivor and she's one of the best players I know.
-
VSing dead hard is honestly fun for me, hope when they rebuild it it works more often, it's no fun being downed when I use it 'correctly' as a survivor and it's no fun when someone goes down when you suspect they have it.

Sounds unhealthy for the game, hard pass from me.

Not stupid tbags anymore. I liked.
It also just guarantees a kill you probably didn't deserve, oh, I got pallet stunned and the survivor is about to leave, press E and now they die because they're stuck in the match for 60 seconds.
Despite them out-running you, despite them doing their objective, they just die.
-
The console version of the game is slightly more expensive than the PC version of the game, due to this the console version came with a few more Killer/Survivors & DLC when purchased.
-
Too smol

I suggest everyone watches Scott's video on Spirit about the shards, they faintly change but you'd have to be close enough that you'd already be hit, as well as also being incredibly hard to see anyway doing any other action would cause you to not notice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOHy-NA2qaY&t=2sAs for the glowing thing I think it has been removed now anyway it was a 'bug' they fixed, additionally if this were how it worked you could just make the glow and then not actually phase anywhere and the survivor would tihnk you're phasing when you're not.

That Krampus design wa such a waste, it should have been a kller on its own, not a trapper skin. It doesn't even change the model of the traps.
Changing the way traps look (especially holiday themed) would just be a nerf to the skin and make it even more of a wasteful purchase.
-
I would wager this skin /may/ go on sale around Christmas time, usually around certain times they expand 'collections' and the items in the collections that came the year before are usually part of a small sale, however this is the first year passing that will have Legendary outfits in it so i'm uncertain about it
But this skin is part of the 'Holiday Horror' collection, so if there are more Holiday Horror items released around Christmas time the odds that this will be part of a sale when they go live is pretty high but not gauranteed.
-
If it's on New, yes. But also their moderators and other 'not staff' but people that help with other things can get the t-shirt so not necessarily a dev but most certainly affiliated on some way with the game and their teams.
-
ty angel :)
-
You're surprised that people watch those that share the same opinion?
The majority of streams are an echo chamber because people gravitate towards those who have the same opinion, it's not a bad thing honestly especially when there are so many differing opinions for this game and it's balance.
-
Whenever I forget to spend points, would never dodge a lobby, what's the point, cherry picking something until you get something you think you'll win and never actually testing yourself?
-
First time I started the healing challenge I got back to back Plagues, I wondered what the odds of that were and then remembered the rift, it was big sadge.

I'm sure they're peachy ahah.

Oh, so you met Samantha then? lol.

Is that so? I guess I've just been getting really unlucky with teammates. Been running it all day today and yesterday and have yet to see it go up outside of my totem cleanses.
Fair enough, I'm wrong. I feel like the fact I made this thread says more about solo queue players than the perk.
...
-
The totem counter counts up if someone else does a totem as well, so if you have done 3 totems and someone else has done two it will show 5 on the perk.
If the perk only shows 3 then you know there are 2 totems left.

Why we want to normalize this in a horror game? If they will add a gay I want him to be killer from first half of XX century not just a guy that is mentioned that he is gay withour any reason
Because believe it or not, there are LGTB people, literally, EVERYWHERE. The more places we normalize it the quicker we can become accepting of those who date different people it's really not a hard concept, where was this fire and passion when they added straight relationships to the game? Not a single thread, now the mere mention of two dudes dating or a cute lesbian couple being around is enough to trigger a thread almost every day about "why".
-
@BarbecueiChilli said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2167540#Comment_2167540
but why in a horror game?
Why not? It's a game with characters that resemble humans, it's nice to have representation and when representation doesn't harm anyone which it hasn't and doesn't then it should be included, it's really not hard to figure out.
-
I mean David has a girlfriend in his lore, the nurse just got a charm of her and her husband, a few years ago we got nurse X wraith cosmetics, why weren't you angry at them forcing straight relationships but are only concerned about there being LGBT relationships?
Normalizing LGBT relationships is very important so we stop having threads like this about every game that includes one.
-
This perk has always detected totems
This was the version before the current one, notice the "Get an auditory warning when looking in the direction of KILLER TRAPS AND TOTEMS"

Re3 has the worst sale in Re history. Re3 remake was ... Something else.
RE3 (1999) has sold 3.57 million copies as of 2021. RE3 Remake (2020) has sold 3.6 million.
Let's look at other some figures.
- Code Veronica (2000), across all its versions, has sold 2.9 million total.
- RE0 (2002) only sold 1.25 million. It wasn't until its remaster in 2016 that it sold a further 2.8 million.
- REmake (2002) sold 1.35 million, and again had to wait over a decade until its remaster in 2014 (PS3) and 2015 (PC) before it would beat RE3 at 5.33 million.
- The Outbreak pair of games (2003 and 2004) only sold 1.66 million.
- The Chronicles games (2007 and 2009) sold 1.45 million.
- Revelations, even with its remasters to console and PC, has only sold 2.9 million to this day.
- Revelations 2 has sold 2.7 million
Saying RE3 (either one) has the worst sales in RE history is blatantly untrue. I didn't even count the DS Survivor games or the Mercenaries and Operation Raccoon City spin off titles.
That fact it sold so many 22 years ago is a huge feat in and of itself, gaming is on the up and up and had basically just started then, looking at sales of a game from 1999 and now doesn't prove anything, i don't understand their point lol.

Why should he drop a umbrella logo?
Well, it's a charm which all characters will be able to wear, it clearly shows the charm is a bonus from buying the full DLC from the store.
-
I'm pretty sure the person in the trailer is Felix.

@Almo said:
If you fail to give any input for two consecutive hook skill checks, you will die right then.
Is there any chance, due to having to now wait for two skill checks that the death sequence could be slightly sped up to compensate? As it stands if the killer knows where hatch is, and so does the survivor, the killer will always make it there due to the survivor not being able to insta die and also having to wait the (roughly 7 seconds?) for the death animation to happen.

Really? I thought that they tried to while still in PTB before going live, like with Ghostface.
they've only done it a couple times from what I recall, they very rarely update the PTB with changes anymore.
-
They always do changes from PTB to live, Lucky Break deserves it especially because it's too strong, they should just make it permenantly hide blood pools and keep scratch marks, it hiding scratch marks + blood pools coupled with Iron Will can make it almost impossible to track even a bad survivor if you lose LoS.

Not if people stop bringing it because they assume that the threat of DS is enough of a deterrent. ;) No need to guess if you force it every time.
Why didn't killers just do that in the first place then? They aren't scared of DS and then suddenly they are even when the entire team could have it, lol.

If more people understand how this works, more people will abuse it, I think it stands to at least put that the devs should counteract this sort of exploitation regardless of how plausible, stacking does occur, it can be exploited with a full team running these and many other perks, this is about a dangerous potency for exploitation, swf is VERY OP with this kind of potential, even 3 on 1 while 1 is being chased may still be pretty broken, and if you're gonna deny it then you're not the brightest bulb bud.
What do you mean? You can do this almost exactly this way with 4 bnps give or take a second or two, the extra guff (resilience, spine chill) is irrelevant, if this is something that can happen you'd already be seeing it super often but you don't stop fearmongering people with these things lmao.
-
But this is literally a "perfect" conditions scenario, all survivors injured so Resilience is stacked, the killer staring at them so spine chill is active, all 4 with bnps etc etc.
Implying that this particular scenario has happened in a live match is quite honestly ridiculous, and using this as an example of "op swf" means you aren't the brightest bulb, bud.
