Mods usually delete the comments that someone is banned for so it's highly unlikely you've ever seen the message that got someone banned unless you're the one reporting them, and I guess I'll be a hypocrite here because my last time out from this forum was about mental health but I don't think describing the mods as bipolar is appropriate, also implying people with bipolar as being pathetic is monkaS

so because you got lucky 1 time your queue was instant does not represent the queue as a whole for the community and the community as a whole will tell you survivor ques are long
It's not luck it's just fact?
and i didn't say that at all, you play at different times your queues will be different, it's really simple to figure out
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1001420125?t=0h7m17s
Heres my stream where i queue as killer, and then because it's taking too long i swap to survivor and get it in about 20 seconds. To be fair i only waited about 1 minute for the killer queues but if they take longer than 30 seconds they usually take much longer.
I then swap over to survivor and I'll link so you can see the results https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1001420125?t=0h8m56s
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1001420125?t=0h23m50s the next lobby took about 20 seconds
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1001420125?t=0h37m51s The next lobby took about 15 seconds
I can go on and on, I don't make things up, and I only ever play dbd when I'm streaming so it's incredibly easy for the me to show the things I'm talking about.
Like i said, playing at different times grants you different lobby waits, if I'd have played about 5 - 6 hours later in the evening i would have had longer survivor lobbies and almost instant killer lobbies, but I'm not biased and can happily admit that.
Also queue times have NOTHING to do with balance of the game, pretending that killer isn't the easiest it has ever been is ridiculous.

If it's so easy then why is the killer queue 10 seconds and survivor queue 10 minutes?
Seems weird how killers can find 4 players in 10 seconds but survivors need 10 minutes to find 1 killer. This should be backwards.
And at the time I play my survivor lobbies are instant and my killer lobbies are long, what's your point? That you play at a time where there are more survivors?
Killers aren't hard done by they're just lazy, there used to be genuinely good killer players who still 4kd when the game was hugely balanced towards survivors, the game is much much different from then and yet this current "generation" of killers fail or complain more than those who legitimately faced difficulties during trials, with genuine infinites, double pallets etc, killer is a far easier experience than it was back then yet killers complain about the tiniest nuisances ever.
It's ridiculous. Get better at the game dude, seriously.

That doesn't mean their skills improved, it just means survivors got smarter and learned how to use it in different situations. Also you said killers adapted to a broken perk, what perk are you talking about?
Try re-reading what I said, I never said killers adapted to a broken perk, survivors did.
-

Because people learned how to use it in better scenarios. Your point?
I'm unsure of the point you're trying to make? If someone says someone got better at doing something it would imply their skills have improved, I just pointed out that people always say it takes no skill and though it was funny.

What you just said has nothing to do with anything.
Not many people used DH as an advantage for making distance in loops back then, it's different today.
I mean I love dead hard, think it's a great perk and enjoy going against it, but everyone says it takes no skill so why are people saying others got better at using it.
Killers also cry that "survivor don't adapt" yet they adapted a broken perk to make it work for them, seems fine to me.
-
@MadLordJack said:

By not wasting it to dodge an m1 hit.
You mean it stopped working to dodge hits so now it's used differently but gives the same affect, survivors will gain just as much distance if they were able to use it to dodge a hit as they are now by using it before it gets wasted by them being exhausted on the ground.
-
@MadLordJack said:

It's funny how things change when the community gets better at using something.
How do you get better at something that takes no skill?
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2154618#Comment_2154618
Because it's only relatively recently been used as a perk to gain distance to a loop or window. People are only just now realising that it is far more effective at that than it is at dodging hits.
The latency causing exhaustion on the floor doesn't help this disparity, either.
The majority of perks in this game take 0 skill to use.
and as far as I know it's always been used for distance, just lesser so when it could actually dodge a hit.
-
Crazy how nobody complained about this perk for like 2/3 years and now it's talked about daily as being an issue.
-
It increases my enjoyment of the video game.
-
Oh goody, another thread where killers pretend they are hard done by.

Real point is who really cares it has the name "exploit" on it.
I think a much better example is tractor tech, even the devs said that it wasn't intended but they kept it in anyway because it was cool. Due to it being a quote "exploit", they kept it in because it was a cool mechanic.
Same should be done to j flick, it does literally nothing but make blight more fun.
EDIT: Dont get me wrong there's some exploits that do badly effect the game, like m1 after holding blink bug and stretched res, but j flick isn't one of them.
Tractor tech is completely different, every killer could use and it didn't make an already strong killer even stronger, it was a fun way to play a tile and they made it more accessible like... lol
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2139853#Comment_2139853
Well that's why I put them in heavy quotations. I'm perfectly fine with 360s and CJ techs. I'm not fine with people wanting something removed FOR THE SOLE REASON for being called an "exploit" as the definition of an exploit is a huge grey area.
More importantly, who tf cares if it's an exploit when it does nothing but add more fun to playing against blight.
I mean not really?
they aren't even close to exploits, the locomotion of the characters has always allowed 360ing and the devs have never even come close to implying it's not intended, nor have they put anything in place to prevent them.
J-Flick exploded and within 2 days you had devs uhming and ahing at in on their own streams saying there are intentional limits put in place and they're being bypassed.
I can't believe this even needs explaining.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:

Like this like everything you said here is true.
Hey if were removing exploits, lets also remove 360s and the CJ tech. Not because they're bad for the game, but for them being called an "exploit".
Why remove an "exploit" if it does nothing but benefit the game as even he stated.
How are they exploits, though?
No limit that has been placed on the survivors are being broken when they 360, j-tech is intentionally bypassing a given limit, 360ing is not, and CJ Tech is the way the game works, can't kick a pallet a survivor on, again no limit is being broken, it's kind of embarrassing how killers are calling these exploits when they don't exploit anything.

Why would you ever go for the unhook? Oh so you mean you never go for the unhook without BT on? The point is it makes you question "is this a smart idea or not?" Instead of "oh I have BT so it's fine, he can just body block and we both get out." Thanks for proving my point, I'm also going to assume you were against the DS nerf as well. You probably think keys are okay as well.
Sometimes you have to go for the save, this literally just makes BT a killer perk though.
I don't usually have any survivor left at the end of my games to allow BT plays like that but they're incredibly easy to get around it's unfortunate that you struggle with it.
and what does my DS or Key stance have to do with anything at all?
I don't use DS, well I use it now because nobody else is running it and killers are just tunnelling everyone off hook at 5 gens so I pop it on sometimes, I have absolutely no issues with the DS change besides the tapping a gen because stopping a gen regressing can be the difference between someone escaping or not, and as for keys I don't care about those either, but unlike 90% of this population I'm not biased and understand that they're a problem and welcome whatever changes they make to them, now maybe stop trying to put words into my mouth that would be great, thanks.

I can tell if you are trolling or just missed the entire point. Maybe you should take a second to reread my original post because I have no idea how you got a protection perk that benefits the killer. I just want BT to not be an abuse-able perk that lets 2 people escape the killer unscathed. The entire point was to make it unsafe for the unhooker while leaving it basically the same for the unhooked person. Sounds to me like you just want survivors to be able to body block with BT on for a free escape that would not be possible without BT.
I'm completely fine with survivors using BT to body block actually yes.
But with your version of BT why would you EVER go for the unhooker?
The situation is this, survivor gets hit going for the save, they save with BT, you ignore the Unhooker because with your version of the perk hitting the saved survivor would injure or down the saviour, you then just go after the saved survivor because you'll get two downs out of it, there is literally no reason to EVER go for the unhooker if you can down them just by chasing the injured saved person.
It would literally read like a killer perk "Once a survivor is saved from the hook hitting them would inflict damage on the saviour, making them injured or downed".
-

Depip squad. No throwing at the killer. Just escapes through the gate.
Are we still bringing up 3 year old videos as if the game isn't drastically different?
and I wouldn't really call that an "escape streak" if they take turns dying on the hook just to push out gens.
Are you trying to imply that if you die in one game, but a random survives you're on a "1 escape streak" etc etc, you don't actually have to escape for it to be a streak?

-
@HollowsGrief said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2139429#Comment_2139429
Yes but your entire argument is based on thinking both survivors should be able to get out of that situation because of the perk, that is why it's considered a crutch by a lot of people and promotes bad play styles. The purpose of BT is to keep the unhooked person safe, not give the unhooker someone who can body block for them, the only reason you are saying this is because you want the unhooked person to be able to body block for the unhooker which isn't anti tunnel it's second chance crutch. Unhook safely or risk going down, that's the entire name of the game.
No I'm just not blinded by bias, this literally turns BT into a perk that ONLY benefits the killer by tunneling, you ONLY want this change because you'll be able to down two people by chasing one person who has JUST been unhooked.
You want a protection perk to not protect anyone.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2139406#Comment_2139406
The point is you aren't meant to be able to safely unhook when the killer is around, BT is about saving the hooked person not the unhooker. I see no issue with the unhooker going down because it puts risk to the perk where as it currently is a crutch. Also I meant health states not a full on down. So lets say the killer tunnels and hits the survivor off the hook, the unhooker takes a single state of health so if they are healthy they just go injured, if they are injured they go down, thus adding the risk factor to unhooking next to the killer.
Killers aren't stupid, they hit the unhooker, making them injured, they save because you know they have to at that point, then the killer chases the unhooked one which downs the unhooker, and then just caries on chasing the unhooked one because literally nothing was lost and BT gave them double the pressure, making the perk literally useless.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
Duration of Endurance is to long if you ask me. I think either lower it to 8s at T3 or better yet make BT swap damage to the unhooker, that way you can't hook bomb without a real threat of being punished but the unhooked person can still get away.
This idea used to sound good but doesn't really work in practice, a lot of killers run STBFL, you chase the unhooked one, you hit them, the saviour randomly goes down, and you recover super quick from STBFL and then down the saved person, basically makes BT a perk that benefits the killer by tunneling.
-
Out of curiosity, how many hours do you have in this game, if you know?

Pre nerf Billy and pre nerf Spirit were at the same time
Billy's rework was on patch 4.1.0, Jully 28 2020.
Spirit was release on patch 2.1.0 Jully 24 2018, her nerf was on patch 3.4.0 December 3 2019
There were 2 years where old Billy & pre nerf Spirit were in the same game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2138907#Comment_2138907
Many killer reck survivor that are weaker & can't loop properly, that doesn't they are OP. Old Billy still took some skill to pull off most of his tricks and wasn't as oppressive as old Nurse & Spirit. A skilled Hag can be pretty devastating too not to mention Huntress that can snipe you across the map.
There were 2 killer that were way stronger than him and 2 other that were about the same power if played properly.
I guess I'll explain myself more.
before spirit was a thing billy was considered one of the strongest killers in the game, then they changed the game a lot including spirit and decided he needed toned down, spirit also needs something so shes counterable is that clearer?
and honestly turn your battle mode off, I'm just explaining WHY they may have changed him, I'm not justifying it or anything just stating he was made when killer was a lot harder.

He wasn't considered the strongest, he was considered the most balance. Nurse had 5 blinks and Spirit had collision with survivor, they were well above him.
This is before spirit dude lmao.
-
Billy for a very long time was considered one of the strongest killers in the game, I think it stands to reason that after significant map & loop changes, significant pallet changes, perk changes etc that they decided he was built when a time that playing killer was actually a hard experience and decided that he deserved the nerf because of that.
-

Oh the irony. Whenever someone like Otz does a kill streak, people take that as proof that killers need nerfs.
But whenever someone shows survivors do a escape streak, people claim, that not everyone play like this.
50 win streak vs 1 loss hits a bit different, no? lmao
Also I've personally not seen anyone say "here's a 50 win streak nerf this killer" I have however seen "Here's a 50 win streak, killer isn't nearly as weak as people make them out to be".
Also, have you ever watched an escape streak? It's literally 3 people throwing themselves at the killer so one person can escape with a key, literally three people throwing their entire match so one person can get a streak is not even close to a 50 streak no addons killer.

People didn't get banned for wake up, no. There were Quentins everywhere and several times there were three wake up users (the survivor not using it being me, I don't play killer when this kind of crap is going on)
It'll happen with a killer perk at some point. They'll make some minor adjustments to one of Kate's cosmetics and that will somehow cause play with your food to never lose stacks or agitation to increase movement speed to 300% or something. When that does happen they can either start banning for it and cause a killer outcry (a justified one in this case) or they can just let the other side be unplayable for however long until they bother fixing it.
Or they could put in a way to disable perks and addons which they should've done years ago when wake up and legion blades happened.
Also yes calling this a shadowbuff is ridiculous
Most recent bug that comes to mind is all the killers running basement build and black screening survivors when being hooked there, they didn't ban for that and shouldn't ban for this but should fix it immediately, it's like the forum is unaware that there have been major game breaking bugs for both sides since legion that the devs haven't banned for, they're just ignoring everything inbetween and saying "look you did ban us for exploiting something that's broken".

Can you read the post or you just one of those people who read the title and comment. Dont come onto my posts insulting me before you even read the post.
Have you ever tried M1'ing the saviour again? I would count that as two hits so the saviour would be downed, sounds hard to do but with enough practice I'm sure you can hit a stationary survivor locked in an animation twice.

Are you just not playing the game or following? Dead hard is best used for distance to make a pallet or vault, which there is absolutely nothing a killer can do to counter. Old ds you could hope they didn’t have it, but slugging denied you a hook state. It worked whether the survivor used it or not.
Your arguments are always based around a false assumption. Sure, some killer mains complain because they are less skilled than they think they are, but there is no larger agenda. The game is survivor sided and pretending that the answer to every argument is in the middle is not based in reality.
Why are you moving the goalpost?
You were stating that survivor "demand" counterplay, and I stated that killers do the same, nothing was said about if the game was killer or survivor sided, at least follow the conversation if you're going to reply, thanks.

Except that things like Dead hard and old ds actually had no counterplay. You can guess against spirit and nurse- no matter what you do against the survivor perks, they get an advantage.
You can guess if they have dead hard or ds. guessing is counterplay like you said

This is especially true for survivor mains, who demand “counterplay”, which is code for a foolproof method to shut down a killer and control the match.
I don't see your point here? Just seems like bias.
Killers wanting dead hard needed because "it has no counterplay" killers want DS nerfed because it "has no counterplay".

Comms between players by itself is a detriment to killer. Theres zero compensation for this in game. the difference between normal survivors and swfs are massive. Pair that with synergies between survivors perk builds and dedicated roles. Your logic is flawed or you prey on the imbalanced nature of the game in that environment.
It takes no braincells to see how swfs break this game. The fact you even responded like this tells me you dont solo que at all and play with sweat squads. You just want to see this trend continue
Killer mains are so cringe with their assumptions, I play solo almost exclusively, when I stream I sometimes team up, but I don't use comms, and when I play off stream which is incredibly rare I only play with one other person.
Here is dozens of hours of me playing solo or queued with 0 comms - https://www.twitch.tv/senzuduck/videos?filter=archives&sort=time

Yep, only allowed an opinion on killer topics if you hate survivors vehemently and blame them for every match you lose I guess.
