Ive never read the book "1984", but I believe the chat censorship is a brilliant representation of the ideas presented by Orwell in the book.

I never watched the movie.
Speaking of classic books, ever read All Quiet On the Western Front? The 30s movie adaptation was actually really good.
I actually haven't, no, I've only recently gotten myself into reading after watching The Equalizer and him talking about 100 books you should read before you die or something and figured I'd give 1984 a crack.

Obviously not if they made this comment.
######### was depressing
I read the book and then watched the movie, it's kind of insane how little development of the characters is made compared to the book.
-
bruh, have you read 1984?

DBD is a pc game before all so it would be good if the ptb is available to make sure the patch is actually stable.
-
Dead Hard at it's core has always given distance, and given the current issues in the game it's the only way to use it without ending up exhausted on the floor.

These ideas are all very good honestly, hopefully it's something that comes to fruition, especially love the locust idea.

Your not reading as I said never had it before
I read it just fine, you said every game is having issues, therefore it is a Graphics Driver issue and not BHVRs, they can only guide you, you need to take the initiative, like contacting NVIDIA / AMD to assist you, @GoodBoyKaru has given you a guide on how to rollback.
support gets 1000s of reports / questions a day that are no more or less important than yours and are looked at sequentially, wait your turn or speak to Nvidia / AMD
-
If every game freezes, you should probably look at support from the graphics card manufacturer that you use and not BHVR.

You said that the devs don't rely solely on statistics to make changes, but the only explanation they gave for the Billy nerf is that he was "overperforming". Considering that everyone is still hating them for that a year later, it's undeniable that they completely ignored fun factor and player feedback. Pretty much everyone only wanted some add-ons to be nerfed and make things not stack, and they did the complete opposite of that.
They didn't nerf Twins based on statistics and they still made a poor job because the only thing that they accomplished is also making them unfun to play as.
I don't understand the point about map changes and exhaustion nerf. Every single killer benefits from these things, and they buffed the hell out of a killer like Bubba which has an easy mode chainsaw, eats through pallets like no other and he's very punishing if you get caught in a dead zone.
Argue it with the devs dude I really don't care, but I'm not going to pretend he wasn't one of the strongest killers for a long time and a lot of changes happened and he went completely untouched, like I said, I don't agree with the changes so arguing with me is pointless, move on.
-
@M1MASTER said:

So, what did they base the entire Billy nerf on? The opinions of bad survivors?
Either way, the Twins nerf is another proof that they have no idea how to nerf killers. Either they don't address core issues like with Spirit or they make them clunky and unfun to play like with Billy, Twins and Nurse to a lesser extent.
What point are you trying to make here exactly? What purpose does it serve to bring Billy into this? lmao
The billy change is quite easy to explain, he was a strong killer from the get go, and despite numerous changes to map layouts, pallet quantities, speed of killer animations, exhaustion nerf etc he went unchanged, he was 'too strong' and made at a time when he needed all that.
And don't take that paragraph as me agreeing with all the billy changes because I don't, but pretending that he didn't deserve changes is naive and biased.
-
The twins change is obviously evidence that they don't rely solely on statistics to make changes, but knowing the forums you're all going to pretend the only thing they look at is numbers and base all their changes on that.

I like playing against dead hard :)

I mean, it's almost impossible to protect your entire team unless you're trying to get yourself killed in the process and then you lose anyway.
A survivor escaping can be a win for them if they so be-it, trying to protect 3 other survivors (who could absolutely be the worst players) and then escaping is almost impossible, especially when you 'protecting' them can entirely depend on how the killer plays, they could play very campy and aggressively, and now you either do gens and escape, which to you is a loss, but what could they have done, or go and save and possibly die, which again is a loss.

*For this, I wouldn't mind the 'useless' offerings if you could make them play every round, have two offering slots, one for maps/luck/coins and one for BP offerings that will automatically keep putting the same one in over and over again so you slowly use them without thought.

Then explain how I've had Survivors do this weird zig-zag within centimeters, causing my lunge camera to go ballistic in a chase and ultimately whiff, costing me lots of time.
Hell, I had it happen several times in the same chase, so I just abandoned them.
Aim dressing has been an issue for a long time and is under no control by the survivors, they zig zag to try and fake going left or right, if forcing killers to miss hits was as easy as zig zagging, everyone would be doing it.

For the record, I am all for fixing hit registration, but at the same time, there is an argument to be made for the stupid hitreg-tech that forces a Killer to whiff during a lunge by running back and forth excessively fast as you go about your business.
There is no hitreg tech lmao

Oh, I think I remember them briefly talking about more things to come to KYF or the frustrations around doing tournaments with it, maybe I'm making that up, it's not my thing but I'll be happy for those that get it when it comes, if it comes.

Any suggestion how can i find his steam address ? the link is broken so he definitely changed that
The best way to do it is open their steam immediately after finishing the game and using something like https://steamid.io/ to find their steamID64, for example MY steamID64 is 76561198028348214 and nothing I ever do to my steam profile will ever change that, and then when you use the support forum you provide the SteamID64 and it can never be different.

Do you want it fixed or keep it? I'm not talking about punishing it, no need to assume I want it punished after I literally told you in a previous comment that I just want it fixed.
I want it fixed where do i indicate that it shouldn't be fixed?
My argument was against punishment of people doing a "tech" that has been used for almost 5 years when this person is saying that it's only being doing because it's exploiting broken grabs when it was a thing before broken grabs were even a thing so it's not exploiting anything.
-

I'm talking about the bug that makes it impossible to grab, the de-sync.
You mean the thing survivors have no control over or? lmao
Again, this is like trying to punish killers for getting hits they shouldn't have, it's desync and no one can force it but VPNers.
-
@NMCKE said:

I'm talking about people defending the grab tech, I don't understand the mindset behind it. I don't think it should be punishable, but the developers should fix it ASAP since it pretty much eliminates the threat of the killer grabbing you unless you're just inexperienced at baiting.
My apologies if you were talking about it not being punishable, it was vague and the context made me think it wasn't. I just been seeing a lot of people trying to justify keeping this tech, but it's ridiculous — it practically guarantees an unhook and potentially an escape under certain scenarios.
The 'grab tech' has been a thing since before grabs were broken, it isn't something being used because grabs are broken it's ALWAYS been a thing, so yes I'm happy to defend faking saves so the killer swings at me so i can pull someone off knowing the cool down is longer than the save animation.

I would agree with you if they actually stood up but they don't. They look like they are just holding M1 on the gen but you keep freezing every time you try to grab them.
and on their screen they probably very well did stand up, but apparently that's the survivors fault that connections take time.
When are we going to punish killers for hitting survivors when on my survivor side it didn't look like he hit me at all.
See how these arguments are similar, caused by the same thing, but you'd argue against punishing the killer because it's not their fault.

Baiting gens is only a thing because they know the grab cancel is a thing :)
Hook baiting makes sense.
Survivors have taken hits to finish gens before for years too and has nothing to do with cancelling the grab, if you stay on the gen and no you can't finish it, you stand take a hit and finish the gen knowing you can finish it while they blade wipe.
Absolutely nothing to do with grab cancel issue.

What is this Senzu... I usually agree with your points but... All he is asking for it to give him what he's entitled to. If he's able to time a grab with how broken and busted the ping and mechanic is, then he should get the grab. The server shouldn't say, nope half way during the animation.
Either fix how buggy hook grabs are or make it more visually clear to the killer that they missed it instead of just canceling it half way. If fixing a bug or fixing the de-sync between the server and client is a nerf to you, then you have the wrong terminology as that's not a nerf.
To picture this as a survivor, it's like escaping through the gates, but the game says, nope and teleports you back. You'll likely be down and on your way to a hook. They need to fix the visual feedback, it's just not right to have the game give you false information.
What are you even talking about?
I'm quite happy for them to fix grabs absolutely no quarrels with that, please show me where I say they shouldn't fix grabs, however the person replying to me is OP, and the title is literally "When will the devs start punishing exploits like grab tech?" So from the title the op want's survivors punished instead of grabs fixed, nobody is exploiting anything since survivors have been doing the fake save thing to get hit for years, way before the dedicated servers broke grabs.

@StrongWolf85 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2205387#Comment_2205387
I know, I've been around since the beginning. What I'm saying is that because of how busted grabs are even what should have been a grab will turn into a hit. so the action isn't just a psych out, it's a combination of the psych out and the glitch. If this glitch were to be fixed, the tapping at unhooks would probably not be as effective as it is and thus less often abused because it's more risky
So you think we should start punishing survivors, for something they've been doing for four years because the devs themselves broke something?
That's just not fair at all.
-
@StrongWolf85 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2205325#Comment_2205325
it's one thing to be baiting for a hit, the issue is that the bug also ends in the same result so only if a survivor does more than tap a hooked survivor can they be grabbed.
The whole point is to bait a hit so they can trade, it has nothing to do with trying to get you to grab them and fail at grabbing, people have been tapping hooks to bait trade saves since forever.
-

They kinda of have a point.
I've definitely had scenarios where this happens. Someone baits a rescue, I time it correctly but get my grab cancelled and the game swings instead.
It isn't fun.
People baited hits way before the grab bug.

Is it? I don't see the point of playing if I'm not going to be able to... Well, to play the game. What's the point of winning if your opponents cannot physically stop you? What possible resistance is being overcome when even Nurse wouldn't be adequate? It's like deranking to bully babies as a killer, I just don't get it.
You're reaching a lot here honestly.
Yes, I'd rather not stay in a match where I'm not challenged, it's basically a farming match at that point, if myself and the people that I've been matched with are so good that the killer says the survivors are "gen rushing" then there would be no enjoyment out of being chased because I know It's likely I'll win regardless or run out of resources, what's the point, I'd rather move on to the next match.

So quick to criticize me, literally jumping ahead and looking for it, and then finding something. But so slow to actually try to understand my perspective.
I went back and looked and you deserve the criticism in all honest the amount of time you spent at the 'unprotectable' gen was kind of insane, you threw an entire match almost for this one gen, and you constantly fully revved and released your chainsaw without even seeing anyone.
You need more practice, a lot more.
-
Dude it's just 49% of people who have DS escape, it's got nothing to do with using DS, just having it equipped.
-
It's a lot more fun to win the few matches you get to play than forcibly lengthen a match and possibly lose it all the while the match being boring because you're forcing it's length.
-
Immediately go to the third episode, where you have a mic
Immediately load into the match
"A generator next to a window, what is wrong with this game -chuckle- these survivor lobbyists, I tell ya man they got this game... [BAD WORD] gripped by the balls"
of all the things to complain about, the way it seems is you'll just be angry at everything even when it literally doesn't matter.

Yes I disconnect every time I enter a match with certain killers I don’t want to play against.
Again when you have played the game as long as I have.
You rather not play against Certain killers.
Yes this would be fair.
iam reading in the comments makes me think y’all are whiny kids who can only kill survivors is by camping.
No not every times do I escape match but I still progress in rank due to the objectives I do during the match.
This is not about being good or bad kids it’s about not playing against certain killers.
So until theirs an option for this I will continue to disconnect.
Also my friends do the same thing.
So don’t come commenting like you know me or tell me to get good kids
Anyone that's been playing since day one would know how awful this would be for the game, and just because you say "I've been playing since x" doesn't mean your opinion or ideas are immediately more valid or good for the game.
