Self care used to be great before they nerfed it and it shows when they take stats all the way from 2017 to now and it's still in the top even though it's not used very much at all anymore as of recently , on average probably one player per trial has it from my experiences
I think it's just incredibly common against the majority of players, which is casual 8 - 16 ranked players.

The 1 500 000 000 is fishy but 350 000 000 more kill compare to the escape is not much if we compare the huge number. Im bad at math but this is less then 2 kill per game for the killer.
How can you know how many kills per match based on escapes & kills only?

Yeah, thats why the whole stats thing seems fishy.
Except if they were faking stats why put a specific round number, they could have literally added or taken away some, it's more likely that the stats were taken exactly when survivors hit 1.5B escapes.
"Hey look guys, we made up all these stats but left escapes at exactly 1,500,000,000" like, cmon lmao, y'all could leave your tinfoil hats at home for a little minute.
And I'm betting the ONLY reason people are saying this seems 'fishy' is because kills are higher than escapes, were it the other way around they'd probably say nothing.

I wouldn't mind another stealth killer, we've gone from 1 ranged killer to 4 in a year and a bit, lol.

Because you can search xbox/psn accounts and check... it's not too hard and I also took notes ages ago to test my theory. Plus when someone's sensitivity its beyond the capability of consoles it means they're m&k on pc.
Once again, filters, stretch res, graphic changes and hackers is a good enough reason
You search everyones username after a game to see what platform they're on?
You pop onto your PS app, and your xbox app and search their names?
Ok.
And what are you talking about Filters, Stretch Res, Graphic Changes & Hackers? You've not once mentioned any of these and don't see how that pertains to knowing which platform the player is on.
-

Just from experience, could be due to poor programming from the devs. All I know is i find it far more common for questionable hits through pallets etc. When pc is involved, obviously all platforms can have it happen but more common when versing pc. But the other issues are enough, it's a shame people cheat and uses advantages but I'm not about that, im here to have fun. I'm happy for a tough and sweaty game but not when things like that exist
How do you know they're PC? The globe could mean literally any other platform than the one you're on.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
Console skill wise isn't a huge gap. However I'd avoid pc players only if I could due to these reasons.
Hacking
Stretch res
Filters & graphic changes
Vastly more common to have worse latency
Why are PCs more likely to have worse latency? The majority of console gamers play on WifI whereas I don't know a single PC player that doesn't run on Ethernet.
-
It honestly has never bothered me, I've always readied first as killer allowing survivors to equip whatever items and such they want.

I wonder how long it takes until it dawns on survivors, that a Stridor nerf actually makes Spirit mains more lethal. Since they now can take more effective tracking perks.
*shrugs*
Care to list off these more effective tracking perks that'll help her pinpoint survivors while she's phasing?
Stridor spirit meant she could track you while injured even if you're walking, there isn't a single perk that she could equip that'll help her against a walking iron will survivor.
Spirit still has issues, and this while it's nice is a change to a perk that survivors weren't asking for, they've been asking for changes to spirit in general.

Iron Will suppresses all breathing sounds, including Healthy breathing.
I would say 99% of the time you aren't tracking people with their breathing sound.
-
Iron will is just the same as chasing a healthy survivor idk why y'all think it's so powerful lmao.
-
They are terrible honestly, spend 3,000 BP to get an offering that gives you 50% bonus points, which means you don't start making your points back until you hit 6,000 BP in that category and if you don't, you just end up losing blood points.
-
Unfortunately they aren't made in a higher resolution they are 944x544.
I've provided a screenshot of the file path to access them
Here's at least one of them
-
You really have to stop assuming it was the last thing you did in the game that got you banned, some people have to wait weeks to get their report looked at so thinking it was 100% the last thing you did is probably wrong.

And as I said in my previous post, I had the legacy entity jizz skin that was given out to people who p3'd before the bloodweb was first cut in half on PC, cute try tho next time try reading the posts you're trying to argue with, I wouldn't want you to look stupid.
??? I assumed halloween skins because (people always get them mixed up and the way you say things but mean something different is apparent) you know, people that have only played for 3 weeks don't usually have something you needed to be playing before 5 years to obtain, maybe if you could figure out how to words things the conversation would have gone better?
"I've only played for 2 weeks" - Actually used to play on PC 5 years ago, and actually meant 3 weeks ???? But that's my fault for not understanding your flip flopping
and "90% of killers" - actually means 4 out of 5 killers, but that's my fault for assuming someone that said they played 5 years ago actually stopped playing and doesn't own all the characters ???? ok lmao.

Thank you for the long conversation chain that established absolutely nothing of value.
Aside from the fact I'm probably way more informed into the grind of the game I've been playing for 4 years over your 3 weeks, lol.

If you operate under the assumption that anyone who starts playing has access to all killers that's on you homie.
"90% of killers" could have easily been "90% of the killer I own", saying 90% is incredibly diceptive instead of saying "4 out of 5 killers i have are level P1, Level 50" lmao. 90% of 5, give me a break.
Console owns more characters than PC when they buy the game so yea when people don't specifically say how many killers they own, I assume, and then you specifically stated theres only TWO killers you don't own now so had I asked how many killers you'd owned you'd have said all but two anyway lmao.
-
@Razorbeam said:

The 5 odd I needed to get the perks yes, that's not as impressive as you think it is, I bought a bunch more for the event, Oni and shape are the only two I don't own and everyone's at 50 now, 2 weeks was a miss speak though I think 3 1/2 weeks is fairer.
So 90% is actually 5 of the 24 killers?
-
@Razorbeam said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2346171#Comment_2346171
I'm well aware of that, most my killers were done before the event.
Event has been on for 8 days, so you're telling me it took you 6 days to P1, level 50 90 percent of your killers?
-
@Razorbeam said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2345740#Comment_2345740
I started playing 2 weeks ago and 90% of my killers are lvl50 p1, I don't think the grind is nearly that bad, though on PC I owned the legacy prestige skin they gave to everyone with p3 after they cut the time in half so maybe I'm biased.
The fact my killers with zero meta perks in the begining was being matched against rank 5 full meta perked survivors was way more of an issue than the grind itself, even if they cut the grind in half again I don't think it would help that problem as there's like 5+ killers to grind teachables on to be competitive. I'd take improved matchmaking over less grind any day.
You're currently playing the game at a time where you can earn up over 500% extra bp per match bro, of course your levelling experience is different.

No, I was answering when you asked, specifically, about counters to sprint burst. I spake nothing about dead hard or intended for it to seem so.
Can you explain how these counter sprint burst?
Blight - Bounce towards survivor, they're faster than you, have to stop your power or be incredibly lucky to hit
Billy - Rev chainsaw, survivor sprints away, have to now be at a complete different angle to likely get the hit especially if they go to an object
Leatherface - lmao what? you realise if you rev up, and the survivor sprints away you will have to drop the saw and take a small penalty fordoing so
Nurse - literally counters everything and you especially don't need omega blink nurse to counter sprint
Huntress - again ??? your hatchet is fast but you're not time bender so you're likely to predict where they're going with sprint
Spirit - phase towards survivor, they sprint burst, unless your running broken addons your power will run out before you reach
Clown - throw bottle, they sprint because it's a slow projectile, wasted time gg
Myers / Ghost - had a rather massive chuckle at these two honestly, you think halving the time spent infront of killers that need you to spend time infront of them is.... a counter?
-
@VikingWilson said:

Blight, chainsaw bros, omega blink Nurse...... Huntress, Spirit, Clown, Myers/Ghostface (free stalk prep, they usually just run in a straight open line). I started the list with just a couple to have a chuckle, but then it started piling on.
so these powers counter a 150% speed boost for 3 seconds but don't counter a 1 metre dash? lol ok
clearly you just proved dead hard has so many counters, right?>

Not really a satisfying answer, but I don't really have anything to share at the moment. I can say that we haven't forgotten about it though.
I'll take that, I definitely know there's been times where you've mentioned reducing the grind and you've acted on it (4 perks on the web at level 50) which literally halved the grind to max, but it's still slightly insane, hoping for good things soon.
-
@Peanits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2345716#Comment_2345716
A couple different reasons, namely that A) you don't always want higher rarity items (e.g. your favourite add-ons are common/uncommon), and B) we don't want prestiging to feel like a mandatory thing-- it's meant to be an optional extra that you can do if you've got a ton of extra time and feel like it, not something you need to do to stay competitive.
So while you're here :)
Any news on reducing the grind? After 5700 hours I can only imagine how offputting it must be for new players to even get started on this, or at least a "we'll have more on that soon" would be nice.
-
@Sypherpathic said:

Why is it so slight, though? This is weirdly stingy. Why don't they just... I don't know, make way fewer 3000 BP items at level 1, fewer 4000 at level 2, fewer 5000 at level 3? Then prestige means you really do get more 6k and up items.
This would be awful because a lot of killers have better brown - green rarity items than anything else.

@AbsolutGrndZer0 said:

It's a multiplcative increase, not an additive. It's like with money. $10 is the cost of an item, you add 10% tax, that makes the item $11. Is that a big increase in cost? Nah. But, it's still an increase.
So the question isn't whether one thinks the increased chance is worth it, but does it exist? Does an item at the store cost me $10, or does it cost $11? This is the question.
I don't understand what you're trying to argue here, a lot of people would consider a 1% increase nothing, I think you're looking at this too deeply.

Y'all could do a google search and find out.
It's negligble, as said though, so despite the numbers looking nice and big, it basically changes nothing.
-
@AbsolutGrndZer0 said:
Some people say that, and it's a valid thought. But as I said, it does cost more the 2nd and 3rd and 4th times around, and a 10% better chance if getting an ultra rare at P3 is still a 10% better chance. Like, say you have a 30% chance to get an Ultra Rare item, well now you have an 333 chance? Yea, that's small, but it's still a higher chance. So saying there is NO benefit is saying that nothing has changed and 33% is a better chance than 30%, even if one thinks it's insignificant..
It's not a 10% chance though, it's literally like 1% more likely for ultra rares, which are mostly very bad items anyway (at least on killers).
Out of a 100 bloodwebs you'll get one with an extra ultra rare on them, what's the point lol.

Yeah, remove the aura reading, tell the killers to stay camping the hook.
It always makes me laugh how some people are completely oblivious to sarcasm, my point is that just because a perk is used a lot doesn't justify a nerf.
and besides, killers camped even while having BBQ so your point is really moot, killers will camp if they want regardless, survivor hiding in a locker to avoid BBQ? Must be near the hook so I'll camp, happens all the time.
-
@Cruella said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2343171#Comment_2343171
At least Sprint Burst doesn't make you waste time. You see it, and leave. But with Dead Hard, you don't see it until you waste 30 seconds in a chase and are about to get a down. Now imagine if all four survivors have it. That's two minutes wasted. Multiply this by three, for twelve hooks. That's more time wasted than games normally last for.
Is this not backwards thinking? If Dead Hard is activated, it means you've done damage and can potentially down them, if you run away every time you see Sprint Burst you end up doing nothing, lol.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2343171#Comment_2343171
Well, like i said, it can only be used at the start of a chase, or the survivor has to 99 it and then has to hold shift or they ready it. Additionally they have a downside of being slower moving around the map without using it. If i see someone use it, i can break off the chase and go chase someone else. Then if i see them go back to the gen, i can go right back to it and now they no longer have it. I can also try and cut them off depending on where they are and the shape of the map, they might not have any great places to run to.
Countless times i run to a gen with someone who has sprintburst and they do 1 of 2 things:
- They immediately run with sprint burst
- They wait and slowly walk until i get close and then sprint burst.
If they do the first, i just fake walking away.
so your counter is, waste time walking up to survivor, they sprint away, then you stop engaging the survivor (if they had dead hard you could at least hit them once) and then (theoretically) hit them if they go back to the gen when if they were using dead hard you'd already have them injured?
Seems like a lot of hoops to pretend dead hard is somehow stronger.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2343142#Comment_2343142
Like i said, it has no downside and no counterplay compared to every other exhaustion perk. Tell me, as a killer what should i do to stop someone for dead harding for distance? It's a similar complaint from killer players as survivor players complaints about spirit having no counterplay. You don't really have any good options when someone uses it that way.
Whats your counterplay to sprint burst exactly?
-
@Reinami said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2343021#Comment_2343021
If that was why the perk was broken, it wouldn't be broken. The problem is not dead harding to dodge a hit. The problem is dead harding for distance, which has no counterplay.
Dead hard is supposed to be for distance though so idk why people are mad at it.

you mean 1:1? It doesn't make the game look fancy. Somewhat makes it look worse
Although I will say a vast majority of people who judge stretched res and haven't tried it personally get a misconception based off of seeing it on vids/stream. It looks significantly worse there, but not much different from native in terms of quality in person
It definitely looks worse but that's not the point @Angelicus23 is making, the game runs much better with stretched res because it's a lower res than most people are running the game at normally.

How long have moris been nerfed compared to keys? The ds nerf compared to undying hex? I know there are more but those are the two major ones I can think of😶
Because despite your bias, mories affected a match way more than keys ever have, and the same can be said for Ruin / Undying, you can't really do anything about ruin undying unless you find the totems (which could have meant cleansing every totem in the match before it was gone) where as dun dun dun, you can just not pick up the guy who has just been unhooked.
and again, keys are a whole item, tied to challenges in the tome, they have a whole slew of addons and are even affected by perks, so obviously it's a lot more work than just changing mories from one hook to two.
Undying was way too strong of a perk, and survivors get way more nerfs than killers anyway so why does it matter if something takes a little longer as long as it is changed.
BNPs were compared to Mories yet BNPs were nerfed 2 years before Mories were, DS was changed (multiple times) and one of those times was before Ruin and before Undying existed.
-
@latinfla4 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2334546#Comment_2334546
And your suggestions? Are you saying survivors don't need a second objective...this would be a quick fix to save developer time from implementing gen parts or oil cans or whatever. I mean look how long it's taking them to fix the lag spikes and dcs during the anniversary.
Oh wait they are spending that time implementing that key nerf😏
They've nerfed everything on the survivors side after stating they would so I don't see why they won't eventually get keys done after saying they would. (DS, BNPs, OoO, toolboxes, insta blinds) of course killers want everything to favour their side immediately so despite killer being incredibly easy currently they still can't just wait a little while for a key change, which in all honesty, are pretty rarely seen when I play.
-
@Lord_Tony said:

So comms being basekit despite being worth 20+ info perks is fine? Killers are not balanced around it and have no compensation for it.
I don't understand
I play solo, so what's your point here exactly?
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2333675#Comment_2333675
If it always failed, it wouldn't be used.
It almost always fails if you use it to directly dodge a hit instead of using it for distance, which is literally the first 'perk' of the perk it actually mentions, so was clearly always meant to be used for distance
and the same could be said for hex totems, killers do nothing but complain about how they're gone in seconds but constantly run them, especially back before ruin was changed, it was "totems never last more than 15 seconds" but was single handedly the most used perk for killers. When it works, it's good, that's why people run it.
-
this literally makes camping and tunneling more viable, I love how killers keep suggesting things that make camping better as an excuse to "nerf camping".
Yea make gens take longer so camping is stronger.
Give survivors another objective so camping is stronger
Give me noed base kit so when I camp survivors literally don't even have enough time to do gens and totems while this survivor dies as i camp them
-
I'm more curious as to why everyones calling it an SSD Card.
-
It was free on Playstation+ & Game With Gold, console players are basically playing it as part of a subscription they were already paying for so it was free for them.
It's also been in two Humble Games bundles when Humble Bundles were rare but super popular, I used to buy them religiously until they started to be every week.
-
Don't really mind tbh, the only times I hate dying are bugs, tunneling or a monumental screw up from a team mate (like not being saved, an accidental but preventable body block, etc).
-
You should just keep playing killer honestly, if the worst that's happening if you're being t-bagged and flashlight clicked at least you're able to play the match out in it's entirety for maximum points, unlike being tunneled out of the match if you're found first and what not.

Most recently? Probably the franklin's nerf for keys.
Which will hopefully be a moot point once they actually rework keys, but changing franklins isn't a buff to survivors, lol.
-
@Killing_Time said:
KILLERS are NERFED around high level play and SURVIVORS are BUFFED around casual play.
Nurse will never terrorize lower level survivors, but she was nerfed anyways because the best of the best players absolutely dominated with her.
Buffing survivors based around casuals only further OVERPOWERS them in the hands in the best players. We've seen countless examples of the killer NOT BEING THE POWER ROLE. Depip squad proved that, SWF proved that, and the fact that even sometimes, RANDOM SOLO prove that.
The only REAL issue here is MATCHMAKING. Potatoes are BOOSTED to red ranks and that gives the appearance of killers being stronger than they actually are. The only time survivors LOSE, is when they don't feel like winning.
What survivor buffs have their been recently?
